Chapter 123 You Look Familiar
Chapter 123 You Look Familiar
When it was time for dinner in the evening, the two went downstairs to the restaurant.
This hotel offers a Chinese buffet, which, while not authentic, is much better than the Western food I've had to eat so much of.
Shen Guining ate a plate of fried rice and a bowl of mutton soup, and was already full.
Yu Ting hadn't finished eating yet. "You only ate this much, Sister Gui Ning?"
Shen Guining took a sip of juice. "I'm full. You can eat slowly. I'll wait for you."
Yu Ting nodded, then suddenly caught a glimpse of a handsome guy coming in through the door. Her voice trembled with excitement as she exclaimed, "The handsome guy who lives across from you is here for dinner too!"
Shen Guining looked up.
Yu Ting blinked. "Isn't he handsome?"
"Hmm." Shen Guining smiled. "Shall we go get their contact information?"
The man was wearing a blue shirt and gray-white trousers, dressed casually. He appeared to be over 180 cm tall and was holding a cell phone while talking on the phone.
"Vince, are you coming down for dinner?"
"I feel lonely eating alone."
Yu Ting watched from afar, feeling a little tempted, but then thought better of it and backed down, "Never mind, we're going back to China tomorrow."
Moreover, this man looked very wealthy, so she dared not provoke him.
Shen Guining took a tissue and wiped her mouth.
After Yu Ting finished eating, the two got up and left.
A little boy rushed out to play in the aisle, and Shen Guining immediately stepped back, unaware that someone was behind her, and almost bumped into him.
Felix was looking at his phone and hadn't been mindful of maintaining distance, so he quickly apologized, "Sorry, are you okay, miss?"
Shen Guining steadied herself. "It doesn't matter."
Yu Ting turned around and asked, "Are you alright, Sister Gui Ning?"
Shen Guining gently shook her head.
Felix was somewhat surprised to hear them speak Chinese, and stammered, "Are you Chinese?"
Yu Ting looked up and saw it was that handsome guy again. "You can speak Chinese too?"
Felix couldn't speak long sentences, so he switched back to English. "I have a friend who is also Chinese, so I've learned a little bit of Chinese too."
As he spoke, he stared at Shen Guining's face, looking her up and down. "You look familiar to me." But he couldn't quite place where he had seen her before.
Shen Guining didn't think much of it; perhaps the other person had seen her perform.
She wouldn't talk too much with strangers, so she politely said goodbye and left the restaurant with Yu Ting.
Unbeknownst to them, a silver hair clip with the Miu Miu logo had fallen to the ground.
Felix picked it up and quickly chased after them, but the two girls had already disappeared.
The elevator door opens.
A pair of straight and powerful long legs stepped out of the sedan chair. The black suit trousers were neat and crisp, revealing broad shoulders and a narrow waist. His face was aloof, and his aura was so calm and imposing that people dared not approach him.
Felix put the hair clip into his pocket for the moment. "Vince, you're finally down. I've been waiting for you to have dinner."
Qu Yanci raised an eyebrow. "You're standing here to greet me?"
“No,” Felix explained. “I just ran into two Chinese girls who lost a hair clip. They were already gone when I came out.”
Qu Yanci didn't care and stepped into the restaurant.
Felix followed closely behind him, his mouth never stopping.
"That girl is very pretty."
"Forget it, you wouldn't be interested even if I told you."
Eating with Vince was quite boring; he either didn't talk at all or only talked about work-related things.
How to describe it in Chinese? Felix thought for a moment and thought it might be something like—workaholic.
I remember when I was in college at Stanford, many girls at school had a crush on Vince, but unfortunately, all he cared about was his experimental data and the stock market's rise.
I never expected that after all these years, he would still be like this.
Wait, Felix suddenly remembered that he had once seen a photo of a girl dancing on his phone.
He racked his brains to recall, and in an instant, his eyes met those of the girl from before.
It's been a while, so I'm not sure if I've remembered it wrong.
Just as he was about to speak, his phone, which was on the table, rang.
Qu Yanci put down his chopsticks, got up and went out to answer the phone.
