Chapter 453 One man against Caron?

Meanwhile, Hong and Thor were also learning how to cooperate. They discovered that, when they cooperated properly, their fighting power did not simply increase by one plus one, but rather exponentially.

"Diamond Barrier!" Hong deployed his defenses in front, blocking Rowan's attack.

"Purple Sky Pierce!" Thor launched an attack from the side, searching for Rowan's weakness.

Rowan was caught in the middle and had to fight back with all his might. But he quickly adapted to the rhythm and began to fight back.

"Storm Domain - All-round Suppression!"

Rowan unleashed his domain, enveloping both of them. Within the domain, he was the master, capable of attacking two targets simultaneously.

But Hong and Thor were not to be trifled with. They fought fiercely within their domain, searching for an opportunity to strike back.

This training continued until the seventh day.

Seven days of intense training pushed all three to their limits. Their bodies were covered in wounds, and they were mentally exhausted. But at the same time, their abilities reached unprecedented heights.

"That's enough," Rowan announced, ending the training. "If we continue, our bodies won't be able to take it."

“These seven days were truly hell,” Thor said, lying on the sea, “but they were incredibly effective. I feel my strength has increased by at least twenty percent.”

“Me too,” Hong said, “especially in terms of speed, I’ve improved a lot.”

“More importantly, our teamwork is starting to take shape,” Rowan said. “While it’s not perfect yet, it’s much better than it was a week ago.”

The three rested at sea for a day to recover their strength and energy. On the morning of the ninth day, they prepared to return to the Huaxia base city.

"This special training was incredibly fruitful," Hong concluded. "Our current combat capabilities should be able to handle even stronger enemies."

“I hope so,” Rowan looked up at the sky, “because the real test is about to begin.”

Just then, his communicator suddenly rang.

"Rowan," Elena's holographic projection appeared, her expression grave, "the technical department has cracked the Kara civilization's communicators. We've intercepted crucial intelligence—the Kara fleet has entered the solar system and is expected to reach Earth's orbit in three days!"

The expressions of all three of them turned serious.

"Faster than expected," Rowan said in a deep voice. "It seems they're accelerating."

“Furthermore, according to the communications,” Elena continued, “there is a cosmic-level powerhouse in the fleet—General Karon of the Kara civilization.”

"Cosmic level?" the three exclaimed simultaneously.

A cosmic-level powerhouse is an existence far surpassing a stellar-level being. Even a King-level immortal like the Flood Pearl is merely a relatively strong ant in the face of a cosmic-level being.

“The situation is more serious than we thought,” Elena said. “You must return immediately; we need to develop a new operational plan.”

“Understood,” Rowan nodded. “We’ll be right back.”

After ending the call, all three felt heavy-hearted.

"A cosmic-level powerhouse," Thor muttered to himself, "Do we really have a chance of winning?"

“I don’t know,” Rowan said frankly, “but we have no choice. This is our home, and we must protect it.”

“That’s right,” Hong clenched his fist, “No matter how strong the enemy, we will fight to the end.”

The three days of preparation time passed in the blink of an eye.

Inside the joint command center of the Huaxia base city, all the strongest martial artists on Earth were gathered. Hong Shuizhu, the heads of various martial arts schools, high-ranking military officials, and King-level immortal powerhouses who had traveled from other base cities were present. The atmosphere in the conference room was heavy, and determination was written on everyone's face.

"According to the latest monitoring, the Kara fleet has crossed Jupiter's orbit and is rapidly approaching Earth," Elena's holographic projection appeared in the center of the conference room. "The fleet is larger than we anticipated. Fifty main battleships, three hundred auxiliary vessels, and countless smaller fighter jets."

The large screen displayed live footage of the Kara fleet. It was a massive space fleet, each warship gleaming with a cold metallic sheen, its hull engraved with the emblem of the Kara civilization. The fleet was arrayed in neat formation, like a herd of steel behemoths, heading towards Earth.

“More importantly,” Elena continued, “we’ve confirmed that there’s a cosmic-level powerhouse on the fleet flagship—General Karon of the Kara civilization. According to intelligence, he’s a second-tier cosmic-level expert, second only to their ruler in the Kara civilization.”

"A second-tier cosmic-level expert—even if all of us join forces, our chances of winning against such a powerful individual are slim."

"What should we do then?" a young curator asked anxiously. "Are we just going to sit here and wait to die?"

“Of course not,” Rowan stood up. “Although the other side has a cosmic-level powerhouse, we are not without a chance.”

“Rowan is right,” Elena nodded. “Virtual Universe Corporation’s reinforcements haven’t arrived yet, but they’re on their way. What we need to do is stall the Kara fleet and wait for the reinforcements to arrive.”

"How long will it drag on?" Hong asked.

“At least ten days,” Elena said. “In ten days, the company’s elite fleet will arrive. Then, combined with Earth’s forces, we’ll have a chance to defeat the enemy.”

“Ten days.” Thor frowned. “That’s too long. With the Kara fleet’s firepower, they could destroy Earth at any moment.”

“So we can’t let them get close to Earth,” Rowan said. “I suggest setting the battlefield near the Moon. It’s far enough away that even if fierce fighting breaks out, it won’t affect Earth itself.”

"The moon?" a general asked doubtfully. "There are no defenses there. How will we withstand the fleet's fire?"

“We’ll use ourselves,” Rowan said calmly. “Me, Hong, Thor, and all martial artists above the stellar level will go to the moon. We’ll use our own bodies to build a defensive line.”

“This is too risky,” Hong Shuizhu said worriedly. “You young people are the future of the Earth; we can’t take this risk.”

“Master, it is precisely because we are the future of Earth that we must stand up,” Rowan said firmly. “If we back down, Earth will truly have no future.”

“And we’re not going there to our deaths,” Hong added. “The intensive training these past few days has significantly improved our skills and our teamwork. We’re confident we can hold them off.”

“That’s right,” Thor stood up as well, “Earth has nurtured us; now it’s time for us to repay it.”

A brief silence fell over the meeting room. Everyone was moved by the determination of the three young people.

“Alright,” Elena finally nodded, “then let’s proceed according to your plan. All martial artists above the Stellar level will accompany Rowan and his two companions to the moon. We will be responsible for the defense of Earth.”

“One more thing,” Rowan said, “I need to mobilize Earth’s space weapon systems. While their power won’t match that of the Kara fleet, they can serve a harassing purpose.” “No problem,” General Justin immediately agreed, “I will coordinate all space weapon platforms to cooperate with your operation.”

“Then,” Rowan looked around, “all participating warriors, assemble at the spaceport in one hour. We will depart to meet the enemy.”

"Yes!" the crowd answered in unison.

One hour later, at Earth Spaceport.

This is the largest space base built by mankind in low Earth orbit, capable of accommodating thousands of people and hundreds of spaceships. At this moment, more than fifty stellar-level warriors have gathered at the base, which is almost all of Earth's top combat power.

Rowan, Hong, and Thor stood at the forefront, followed by the other martial artists. They were all wearing specially made space combat suits, their faces filled with determination.

"Gentlemen," Rowan turned to face the crowd, "I know this mission is dangerous, and some of us may not return. But we have no other choice; this is a battle to defend our homeland."

"We are not afraid!" a young martial artist shouted.

"For the Earth!" More people joined in the cry.

“Alright,” Rowan nodded, “then let’s set off. Destination—the Moon!”

More than fifty figures simultaneously took off, bursting out of the spaceport and heading towards the moon. They didn't use spaceships, but instead flew through space using their own laws of motion. This method offered greater mobility and was better suited for space combat.

The distance from Earth to the Moon is approximately 380,000 kilometers. For a stellar-level martial artist, full-speed travel would only take a few hours.

During the flight, Rowan communicated tactical arrangements to everyone via a mental link.

“After arriving on the moon, we will split into five teams,” Rowan said. “Each team will be led by a martial artist of at least the seventh rank of the Stellar level, and each team will be responsible for a different defense zone.”

"I, Hong, and Lei Shen will each lead one team, and the other two teams will be led by Master Jiang Tao and Master Feng Wuchen," Luo Wen continued, "When the Kara fleet approaches, each team will be responsible for intercepting different warships."

"What about the cosmic-level Charon?" someone asked worriedly.

“We three will handle Kalon,” Rowan said. “Your mission is to hold off the other warships and warriors, preventing them from breaking through the defenses.”

"Understood!" the crowd replied.

Hours later, the moon came into view. The gray planet floated silently in space, its surface riddled with craters. One half of the moon was bright under the sun's rays, while the other half remained hidden in darkness.

“Let’s set up defenses here,” Rowan chose the side of the moon facing away from Earth. “That way, even if the battle spreads to the lunar surface, it won’t affect Earth.”

More than fifty martial artists dispersed according to plan, forming a massive defensive network around the moon. Each released their aura, connecting as a unified whole.

"This feeling..." Hong sensed the resonance of everyone's auras... "Have we formed a temporary formation?"

“Yes,” Rowan nodded, “this is an ancient battle formation that Elena taught me. Although our individual strength is not as great as that of a cosmic-level being, if we can form a battle formation, our overall combat power will be greatly enhanced.”

“Excellent idea,” Thor exclaimed. “This way, we won’t be fighting individually, but as a unified whole.”

Just then, countless points of light appeared in the distant sky. The points of light grew closer and clearer, eventually revealing the true form of the Kara fleet.

Fifty main warships were arranged in a wedge formation, with three hundred auxiliary ships distributed on both flanks. Countless small fighter jets circled around the fleet, like a swarm of steel bees. The oppressive aura emanating from the fleet made all Earth's martial artists feel the pressure.

"They're here," Rowan said in a deep voice. "Everyone, prepare for battle!"

The Kara fleet stopped 10,000 kilometers from the moon. The flagship's porthole opened, and a tall figure flew out.

It was a Kara man over three meters tall, completely covered in golden armor. The armor was etched with intricate patterns and radiated powerful energy fluctuations. His face was resolute, and his eyes, like two golden stars, were filled with majesty.

“This is Kalon,” Hong said gravely, sensing the other's aura. “Such powerful pressure; this level of aura far surpasses any enemy we’ve ever encountered.”

Kalon hovered in space, coldly observing the Earth warriors surrounding the moon. His voice, transmitted through a peculiar means, resonated in everyone's minds.

"Warriors of Earth, I am General Karon of the Kara Civilization," his voice was authoritative and cold, "your resistance is futile. With your strength, you are nothing but ants before me. Surrender now, and I may spare your lives."

"Don't even think about it!" Thor roared. "Earth will not surrender to any invaders!"

“Foolish,” Caron shook his head. “Since you’re so determined to die, then I’ll grant your wish.”

He raised his right hand, and golden energy condensed in his palm. The intensity of that energy sent chills down the spines of all Earth's martial artists.

"Everyone, listen up!" Rowan immediately issued the order, "Activate the battle formation!"

More than fifty martial artists simultaneously unleashed their power of laws, and energies of various colors intertwined around the moon, forming a massive energy shield. The shield was hemispherical, protecting everyone inside.

“An interesting battle formation,” Caron sneered, “but before absolute power, any technique is futile. Break!”

The golden energy in his palm transformed into a beam of light, which shot towards the energy shield with a roar.

boom! ! !
The golden beam of light struck the shield, unleashing a tremendous surge of energy. The entire moon trembled, and dust was stirred up, creating a massive dust storm.

But the energy shield held up. Although countless cracks appeared on its surface, it did not shatter completely.

"What?" A hint of surprise flashed in Caron's eyes. "It actually blocked an attack with thirty percent of my power? It seems the intelligence was indeed wrong; Earth's strength is greater than expected."

"We can stop his attack!" a martial artist shouted excitedly.

"Don't be too happy yet," Rowan said calmly. "He only used thirty percent of his power just now. And maintaining the battle formation is extremely taxing; we can't hold out for long."

"What should we do then?" someone asked.

“Change strategy,” Rowan thought quickly. “Hong, you stay behind with the first and second teams to maintain the battle formation. Thor, you take the third and fourth teams to attack the auxiliary ships. I’ll take the fifth team to meet up with Charon.”

"You're going to take on Caron all by yourself?" Hong asked worriedly. "It's too dangerous!"

“It’s not just one person, it’s me and ten men from the fifth team,” Rowan said. “And my goal isn’t to defeat him, it’s just to hold him off and prevent him from attacking the battle formation.”
