Chapter 277 The Judge of Light!
Chapter 277 The Judge of Light!
Although his vision was obstructed, Turck's years of combat experience allowed him to sense the danger. He suddenly leaned back, and at the same time, the rocky shell on his right arm rapidly expanded, forming a shield-like defense in front of him.
“Zheng!”
The sound of the light blade colliding with the rock shield was crisp and loud. Surprisingly, the rock shield, which was known as indestructible, was easily sliced open like tofu by the light blade, leaving two deep grooves.
"This is impossible!" Turk exclaimed, quickly taking several steps back to create distance.
Hong gave him no chance to catch his breath, his figure flashing again, appearing to Turck's side, thrusting out his twin spears in succession, each strike aimed precisely at the opponent's vital points.
Turck was forced to defend continuously, but his rock defense proved extremely vulnerable to the light blades, quickly becoming riddled with cracks. What worried him even more was that the rock couldn't repair itself in the places cut by the light blades, as if it were sealed off by some force.
“This is the characteristic of the Law of Light,” Rowan explained from the audience. “Light can penetrate matter, but it can also block the flow of energy. Where the light blade has cut, earth energy cannot flow normally, and therefore cannot be repaired.”
On the field, Türk finally realized the seriousness of the problem. If he continued to defend passively, his rocky defense would eventually crumble completely. He had to change his tactics.
"The Earth's Fury!"
Turck stomped his foot, causing the entire arena to tremble violently, as if an earthquake had struck. The ground began to crack, with several deep fissures spreading in all directions. Even more terrifying, countless sharp rock spikes suddenly emerged from the ground, attempting to pierce Hong's body like bear traps.
This is Turck's signature move – "Earthfall," which turns the entire battlefield into his weapon, leaving his opponents nowhere to hide.
Hong was indeed agile, but he couldn't completely dodge such a wide-ranging attack. Several rock spikes grazed his arms and legs, leaving several bloody marks.
But Hong's expression remained calm, as if the wounds were insignificant. He steadied himself, his spears crossed in front of his chest. "Rhythm of Light, activate."
In an instant, countless tiny points of light appeared in the air around Hong, twinkling like fireflies. These points of light began to pulsate in a peculiar rhythm, forming a complex array of light.
"Watch out!" Turck seemed to recognize the skill, his expression changed drastically, and he immediately commanded the surrounding sand to form a thick spherical shield, completely enveloping himself.
"Rhythm of Light - A Barrage of Arrows!"
With a soft shout from Hong, all the points of light erupted simultaneously, transforming into countless tiny arrows of light that shot towards Turk's earthen ball from all angles. These arrows appeared delicate and fragile, but each contained pure light-based energy, possessing astonishing penetrating power.
"Bang bang bang!"
The light arrows struck the earthen ball, producing a series of muffled thuds. At first, the earthen ball seemed able to withstand the attacks, but soon, small cracks began to appear and quickly widened. The light arrows pierced through the outer shell of the earthen ball and penetrated its interior.
"what!"
A cry of pain came from within the earthen sphere, indicating that Turk had been struck by some light arrows. But he did not retreat; instead, he gathered even more powerful energy within the earthen sphere.
"The heart of the earth, revealed!"
The earthen sphere suddenly exploded, scattering fragments everywhere. Turk stood in the center, his body riddled with wounds from the light arrows. But what was more striking was the fist-sized brown crystal that had appeared on his chest, radiating a powerful energy of earth-elemental laws.
This is the legendary "Heart of the Earth," Turck's strongest trump card, capable of greatly amplifying the power of his earth-based laws and significantly enhancing his self-healing abilities. The wounds inflicted by the light arrows began to heal at a visible speed; the blood congealed, and new skin grew.
"Kid, you are indeed strong," Turck's voice was more steady and powerful than before, "but next, I will show you what a true earth-elemental powerhouse is!"
After saying that, he suddenly drew the stone hammer from his waist—the "Earth Crusher"—and infused it with earth-elemental energy. The hammerhead immediately expanded several times over, becoming as huge as a small mountain.
"The earth shatters!"
Turke leaped high into the air, wielding his giant hammer, and slammed it down towards Hong Mengli. This strike not only contained Turke's immense physical strength but was also enhanced by the pure earth elemental law, making it incredibly powerful.
Faced with such a fierce attack, Hong finally changed his calm expression. A hint of seriousness flashed in his eyes, and he gripped his twin light-bladed spears tightly, leaping into the air to meet the massive stone hammer.
"Has he gone mad?" Luo Feng exclaimed. "That hammer weighs at least several tons, how could he possibly withstand it?"
Luo Wen smiled slightly, "Watch closely, Hong is about to get serious."
In mid-air, Hong's twin spears suddenly transformed. The originally one-meter-long blades of light began to extend rapidly, instantly becoming two dazzling pillars of light, each about five meters long. Even more miraculously, these two pillars of light were as flexible as living things, able to change their shape and angle at will.
"The source of light, manifest."
Hong's voice remained calm, yet the power it contained was chilling. As his words fell, the light on the twin spears intensified, almost blinding. The two beams of light intertwined in the air, forming a massive barrier of light.
"boom!"
The stone hammer slammed heavily against the barrier of light, unleashing a deafening crash and blinding light. A massive shockwave spread outwards, whipping up clouds of dust.
When the dust settled, the audience was surprised to find that Hong's barrier of light was completely intact, while Turk's stone hammer had several deep cracks, and the earth element energy on the hammerhead had clearly weakened.
"This is impossible!" Turk couldn't believe his eyes. "How could my 'Earth Shattering' be blocked?"
Hong hovered in the air, enveloped in a layer of pale golden light, looking like a messenger of light descending to earth. His eyes had turned completely golden, radiating a chilling aura of power.
"The essence of light is the core mystery of the laws of light," Hong finally explained, his voice calm yet powerful. "Before the essence of light, the solidity of matter is no longer important, because light can penetrate everything."
After saying that, he waved his hands, and the beams of light from the twin spears of light changed shape again, transforming into two huge light dragons that roared toward Turk.
Turk hurriedly raised his stone hammer to defend himself, while simultaneously manipulating the surrounding sand to form multiple layers of defense. But all of this was as fragile as paper before the light dragon. The light dragon easily penetrated all the defenses and crashed heavily into Turk.
"what!"
Turk let out a cry of pain, his body sent flying dozens of meters, crashing heavily into the energy barrier at the edge of the arena before falling to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust. When the dust settled, people saw Turk struggling to his feet; his stone hammer was shattered, his rocky shell was riddled with cracks, and even the "Heart of the Earth" on his chest was dim and lifeless. But his eyes showed no sign of retreat; instead, they burned with an even stronger fighting spirit.
“It’s not over yet,” Turck gritted his teeth, “I have one last move! Earth Ultimate Form!”
With a roar, the "Heart of the Earth" on his chest suddenly burst forth with a dazzling brown light, and the surrounding sand surged towards him as if drawn by some immense magnetic force. In the blink of an eye, Turck's body began to swell, quickly transforming into a ten-meter-tall earth giant.
This giant was composed entirely of rock and sand, containing pure earth-elemental energy. Its hands transformed into two enormous stone axes, appearing incredibly powerful.
"This is my ultimate technique," Turck's voice boomed from the giant's mouth like thunder, "before absolute power, all technique is futile!"
The giant raised his twin axes high and brought them down with tremendous force. The power of this strike was so great that it distorted the surrounding space, creating visible ripples.
People in the audience involuntarily stood up, watching this earth-shattering blow with bated breath.
Luo Feng clenched his fists. "Isn't this a bit too exaggerated? Can Hong really stop it?"
Rowan remained calm. "Don't worry, Hong also has his ultimate secret."
In the arena, facing such a terrifying attack, Hong remained completely calm. He formed a hand seal, his twin spears of light crossed in front of him, and chanted an ancient incantation:
"The laws of light are eternal and unchanging; the order of light endures forever. In my name, I summon the ultimate form of light—the Judge of Light!"
As the incantation was completed, countless golden rays of light suddenly appeared in the air around Hong. These rays of light quickly converged and formed a huge humanoid figure of light and shadow, which fought against the earth giant.
This luminous figure was also ten meters tall, but unlike the ruggedness of the earth giant, it possessed graceful lines and a clear outline, resembling a holy warrior clad in armor of light. Most striking was its weapon—a massive longsword of light, its blade covered in ancient runes, radiating a chilling aura.
“The Judge of Light,” Rowan explained, “is one of the most profound mysteries within the laws of light, said to be summoned only by cultivators who have truly comprehended the essence of light. I didn’t expect Hong to have mastered it to this extent.”
In the arena, two giants confront each other: one formed of sand and rock, heavy and solid; the other condensed from pure light, agile and sharp. They represent two completely different systems of power: one symbolizing the stability of the earth, the other symbolizing the penetration of light.
"Earth Giant - Earth Split Slash!"
Turck controlled the giant, crossed his two axes, and then slashed forward with tremendous force. This strike not only contained enormous physical impact but was also enhanced by pure earth elemental energy, enough to split a small mountain in two.
"The Judge of Light, Illuminating All Realms!"
Hong also unleashed his ultimate move. The giant of light raised his longsword high, and a terrifying beam of light shot out from the tip of the sword, heading straight for the earth giant. This beam of light was not a simple energy attack, but contained the primal power of the Law of Light, possessing astonishing penetrating power.
The two ultimate moves collided in mid-air, unleashing a dazzling white light and a deafening roar. The entire arena trembled violently, and cracks appeared in the energy barrier, clearly indicating that it had withstood an energy impact exceeding the design expectations.
After the intense light dissipated, the audience was astonished to see that the Earth Giant's upper body had been completely pierced, leaving a huge hole, while the Light Giant had also lost an arm, and its light had dimmed considerably.
The two giants were teetering on the brink of collapse, both having reached their limits.
"It's not over yet!" Türk roared in frustration, "The earth never yields!"
The earth giant began to repair itself, slowly filling the enormous hole. At the same time, the giant raised its last remaining stone axe, preparing to deliver the final blow.
Seeing this, Hong no longer held back, shouting, "Eternal Light!"
The giant of light and shadow suddenly shone with a dazzling golden light, as if it were burning. The lightsaber in its hand also became even more brilliant, and the runes on the blade began to flicker, radiating powerful energy fluctuations.
“This is the final blow,” Hong’s voice was calm and firm. “A pointless waste of resources will only lead to mutual destruction.”
Turck paused for a moment, then burst into laughter, "Hahaha, that's right! In that case, let's settle this once and for all! Earth - Ultimate Strike!"
The earth elemental giant's entire body began to concentrate the earth elemental energy onto the stone axe, making the axe blade exceptionally bright and emitting a brownish light.
"The Judge of Light - The Light of the End!"
The Giant of Light also channeled all its light energy into the lightsaber, making the blade shine like a small sun.
The two giants launched their attacks almost simultaneously, their stone axes and lightsabers tracing perfect arcs in the air before colliding heavily.
"boom!"
A deafening explosion rang out, and a blinding white light enveloped the entire arena. All the spectators were forced to close their eyes or turn their heads away, and even the energy barrier of the Virtual Universe Corporation developed large cracks under the shockwave.
When the light faded and the dust settled, the center of the arena was a scene of utter devastation. A deep furrow had been carved into the sand, and the rocks on either side were glowing red-hot from the intense heat, some even melting into a glassy state.
Both giants had vanished, leaving only Hong and Turck standing in the center of the arena, about ten meters apart. Both were at their limit, their bodies covered in wounds, and their breaths were weak.
Hong's combat suit was badly damaged, revealing his burned skin underneath. He still held a short, light-bladed spear in his right hand, but the blade was almost invisible, only a faint glow remaining. The spear in his left hand seemed to have been destroyed in the explosion and was nowhere to be found.
Turck's situation wasn't much better. His rocky shell had completely shattered, revealing his mangled body beneath. The "Heart of the Earth" on his chest had dimmed, seemingly having exhausted its energy. His stone hammer was nowhere to be found, leaving him empty-handed.
The two stared at each other silently, neither speaking first. An eerie tension hung in the air, as if the final battle would erupt at any moment.
Suddenly, Turck swayed, fell to one knee, and spat out a mouthful of blood. Clearly, the attack had severely damaged his internal organs. He struggled to lift his head, looking at Hong, who remained standing, his eyes filled with both resentment and admiration.
