"My lord, we've passed through the Li Gate!"
The Dragon Princess had been keeping a close eye on the commotion outside. When she saw the imperial procession pass through the Li Gate, she quickly reminded the Dragon King.
Although the Dragon King was leaning against the soft couch and did not peek out from the door like the Dragon Consort, the commotion outside could not escape his keen eyes. Before the Dragon Consort could speak, he got up and left the soft couch.
"Open the door."
"When he doesn't want to, his previous conversations with the Dragon Consort are inaudible to those outside. But when he does want to, such as when he gives an order now, those outside will naturally hear it."
So the flag formation and the music formation split in the middle, moved laterally to both sides, and scattered into two rows, making way. The nine dragons swung their tails and moved forward through the path cleared by the two formations, arriving at the very front of the procession in no time.
When they reached the front, Ni Wenyu pulled the reins, and the Nine Dragons slowed down again. The flag formations and music formations on the left and right of the Jade Carriage, as well as all the ceremonial processions behind it, also slowed down and slowly passed through the Li Gate.
Immediately, Ni Wenyu loosened the reins, stood up, and stood solemnly by the gate of the Jade Carriage Palace.
On the corridor, two strongmen and four maids on each side walked toward the palace gate. On each side, two strongmen worked together to open the palace gate, two maids carried a silk quilt and placed it in front of the gate, and two more maids lifted a blue-topped canopy.
After the door opened, the Dragon King and Dragon Queen came out and sat upright on the silk carpet.
According to ancient custom, when the host welcomes guests twice, the guests should be present to witness the ceremony.
At this time, the master of the Yellow Sea Dragon Kingdom also appeared on the Divine Continent for the first time, and his youth was astonishing.
"Husband! Is that Xinzhan ahead?!"
On the surface, the Dragon Consort appeared dignified, elegant, and noble, but upon seeing the scene before her, she was overjoyed and called out to the Dragon Lord once more.
At this moment, the east was turning white, and there was light between heaven and earth. The mountains were layered, and the water shimmered. Everything was vaguely discernible, but not very clear.
Before the Dharma carriage, blue lotuses bloomed in profusion, their soft, jade-like light illuminating the path ahead, making them quite conspicuous. Suddenly, a verdant bamboo raft emerged from the lotus blossoms. Then, the blue lotuses gradually disappeared, while the bamboo raft, without poles or sails, moved slowly forward, taking the place of the lotuses as the guide for the Dharma carriage.
A person stood on the bamboo raft, their figure almost blending into the serene lake light, making them indistinct.
The Dragon Lord naturally saw it as well. The man was tall and elegant, like a pine tree on a mountaintop or a white crane in a lake. He held a long, green-sheathed magic sword and stood on a small raft with his back to the Dharma carriage. His posture was calm and composed, showing the demeanor of a grandmaster.
As the official in charge of ceremony appointed by both parties, who else could it be but him?
As the east grew brighter, the figure became clearer and clearer:
He wore a crown adorned with five lakes and clouds, each of the five petals depicting a vast expanse of five lakes. One dared not look too closely, for if one gazed at it for too long, one would feel that the lakes were alive, with the wind rustling the grass, the ripples spreading, the birds flying and the clouds shifting, like a dream, and looking further, one would feel as if one's very soul would fall into that crown.
The Taoist priest wore a sky-blue silk robe with a black crane soaring into the clouds embroidered along the collar. A five-colored sash was tied around his waist, with a two-colored yin-yang jade ring running through the center. Over this, he wore a purple robe, a wide-sleeved, bright purple robe with gold thread embroidery of the sun, moon, and stars on the front, and a full embroidery of the yin-yang symbol on the back.
"Whoosh—!"
Suddenly, the sound of conch shells rang out across the vast lake, but it didn't come from the imperial carriage of the Dragon Kingdom. The person blowing the conch shell couldn't be seen; the sound came from all directions.
"Ding-dong—"
Immediately afterwards, the sounds of golden bells and jade chimes rose, bringing with them a light and melodious tune.
The Dragon Kingdom's entourage immediately reacted, gently shaking the spirit drum, which made a rustling sound in harmony with the ethereal Daoist rhythm.
Immediately, the Taoist priest drew his sword and began to perform the Yu Step on the small bamboo raft. His purple robes fluttered, like a purple crane dancing gracefully on the lake, light and noble; the sword light was like snow, like a butterfly dancing with the purple crane, elegant and magnificent.
Listen to the Taoist priest chanting:
"Strictly control my nine-dragon chariot,"
To enjoy freedom and ease.
Eight days as clear as day.
What is the vastness of the six directions?
The immortals chanted the profound mysteries.
The Supreme Being sings a pure ballad.
Fragrant flowers scatter in the wind.
The jade sound becomes the purple sky.
The five sufferings are thus dispelled.
The eight difficulties are difficult to overcome.
How wonderful is Lingbao Garden!
"Build this great Dharma bridge!"
Feeling the ethereal and solemn chanting, the Dragon King straightened his back and looked solemn. Even the usually impulsive Dragon Consort calmed down and listened attentively.
After finishing his song, the Taoist priest pointed his sword eastward and proclaimed in a loud voice...
"Xihe, welcome the guests!"
Then, a red sun slowly rose, like a giant red lantern, spreading light throughout the world.
The Taoist priest turned around, pointed his sword to the west, and shouted.
"Wangshu, welcome the guests!"
And so, in the bright daylight, a bright moon hung high atop Mount Lu, on the west side of the great lake.
Then, the Taoist priest pointed his sword at the sky and shouted,
"Stars of the Milky Way, welcome our guests!"
Words were law, and the long sword acted as command. The sky above the great lake, which had just been illuminated by the sun, suddenly darkened. Night fell, and the stars shone brightly, revealing a dazzling Milky Way.
The sun and moon shine together in the sky, all the stars appear in full glory, and the three lights welcome guests!
The lake, as smooth as a mirror, reflects the spectacular scenery in the sky. A bamboo raft leads the imperial procession on a leisurely journey across the lake, making it impossible to tell whether they are in the lake or in the Milky Way.
Huang Hailong was a man of great stature, accustomed to countless grand occasions, yet even he was momentarily stunned by such a spectacular sight and lavish gifts.
When the Taoist priest called for the sunrise, he was quite surprised. He never expected that the Taoist sect would combine the welcoming ceremony with the sunrise phenomenon, and do so so well. It was truly an ingenious idea.
If the sunrise was merely an accident, then the appearance of the moon truly awed him. If the moon were just an illusion, it wouldn't be remarkable or worth mentioning. However, it wasn't. That full moon clearly radiated the cool, ethereal aura of the moon, its light shining on Mount Lu and the willow branches on the shore. The shadows of the mountains and trees were reflected on the lake's surface, so distinctly, including the reflection of the full moon itself. That jade disc was clearly visible at the bottom of the lake.
No matter how you look at it, it's not an illusion.
But no matter how powerful or profound the Taoist sects are, they cannot summon back the Taiyin Star that has truly sunk underground—it can only be a wisp of moon energy.
The Dragon Lord didn't recognize this Moon Divine Strike, but he knew that a Moon Divine Strike of this caliber must be ranked extremely high among the Heavenly Divine Strike masters.
Then, the stars appeared.
Needless to say, this is another truly magnificent star formation.
However, for Yu Longjun, the Heavenly Gang is not hard to come by, but the sincerity and grandeur of Sanqing Mountain are rare!
The imperial procession of the Dragon Kingdom, which had proceeded without a single mishap, couldn't help but stir as the three lights shone in unison. Those in front were so captivated by the magnificent scenery that they slowed their pace, while those behind, eager to enter the embrace of the three lights, quickened their steps. For a moment, the procession became somewhat chaotic.
The Dragon King did not blame them; it was only human nature. He secretly cast a spell, his magic covering each person and each sea beast, and quickly adjusted their steps again.
Bathed in the light of the sun, moon, and stars, the bamboo raft moved forward, leaving a long trail of water on the calm lake surface, with ripples spreading outwards in a V-shape. Outside the V-shape, the lake surface was smooth as a mirror, while inside, gentle ripples appeared. At this moment, the sunlight poured down, reflecting on the ripples and creating shimmering waves, as if a V-shaped carpet of fragmented gold had been spread across the vast lake.
The bamboo raft pulled the carpet of light ahead, with the imperial carriage of the Dragon Kingdom following closely behind, sailing on the carpet.
Gorgeous.

The imperial carriage moved slowly forward. After about 15 minutes, the sun turned from red to gold, shining brightly, while the stars and moon gradually disappeared.
To be honest, after Sanqingshan welcomed the dragon with "Three Lights Under One Sky" as the second welcoming ceremony, the dragon king was really looking forward to the third welcoming ceremony that followed.
At this moment, the ethereal Taoist chants rang out again, accompanied by the sounds of conch shells, bells, and chimes, as the Purple Robe Taoist priest on the bamboo raft continued his chanting.
"The Heavenly Dragon Roams Without Limits"
Xuanxi Xuanjing A.
Looking up at the Golden Terrace,
Looking down at the purple clouds.
The carefree life of the Supreme Capital
We sat together amidst the lotus blossoms.
Accumulated learning makes one a true person.
Tranquil and peaceful.
Enjoy life without end.
"Wan Chunxi is too much!"
The Dragon Lord was immersed in the profound Taoist chants, his fingers tapping out the rhythm unconsciously, and a slight smile appeared on his lips. Who could remain unmoved by such a blessing?
After reciting another hymn, the Taoist priest held the sword in his right hand, with the scabbard attached to his belt in his left. Then, with his left hand forming the Three Pure Ones Seal, palm facing up, a flash of light appeared between his three fingers, transforming into a small, three-legged, round jade cauldron filled with water.
The Taoist priest held a cauldron in his left hand and used a sword as a brush in his right, drawing talismans in the air.
As the Dragon Lord watched the talisman slowly taking shape in the air, his expression changed slightly, and his eyes revealed astonishment.
Immediately, the Taoist priest spoke, saying in a clear voice:
"The Tao says that water is the life of dragons, and dragons are the essence of water. Wherever there is great water, there are spiritual dragons."
"It is said that if a good man or woman has the Dragon King in mind, writes down the Dragon King's name, visualizes the Dragon King's form, possesses the Dragon King's power, makes offerings at the right time, recites scriptures, and offers clean water, he can summon the Dragon King."
"I have heard that Poyang is located among the five lakes, bathed in the light of the heavens. There is a true dragon named Ao Zhu who lives in the water as king, and establishes a palace and dictates the terms of government. "I say that there is good news today. The Yellow Sea Qingyang Dragon Lord and his consort are passing through the territory. We should welcome them with great ceremony."
"I have heard that the grandeur of a ceremony depends on the rank of those participating. Only when the mats are laden with heavy utensils and the hall is filled with nobles can the ceremony be considered truly grand. Therefore:"
"At my request, the Dragon King of Poyang appears and greets the guest with courtesy."
"My command is the decree of the Supreme Dao Lord, the Heavenly Venerable Lingbao!"
As soon as the Taoist finished speaking, the incantation was completed, and immediately, the entire Poyang Lake began to tremble.
The earth shook and the mountains trembled.
Above the great lake, vast clouds and mist rise up, obscuring the sky and the sun.
A powerful aura of dragon energy slowly rose from the bottom of the lake, then ascended into the air with the mist. At the same time, large swaths of white clouds appeared out of nowhere in the sky, connecting with the mist on the lake.
"hold head high--"
A tremendous dragon roar resounded through the sky.
The clouds and smoke swirled and eventually condensed into a huge phantom image of a Dharma figure. The Dharma figure was human, standing on the great lake, wearing a dragon robe and a crown, with dragon horns on its forehead, exuding an aura of authority without anger.

Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.
In the distance, atop the Cloud Tower, one can witness the ceremony.
The deputy leader of Sanyuan Mountain, Daoist Zhenchang, could not hide his joy. He had actually summoned the lingering power and aura of the Poyang Dragon King that remained at the bottom of Poyang Lake! The appearance of that Dragon King was exactly the same as that of Ao Zhu, the Poyang Dragon King in the portraits of the various Dragon Kings in the sect! If he could not greatly promote the Jingming Sect, who could? How could the patriarch's prophecy be false?
The deputy leader of Juqu Mountain, Daoist Nengyue, had his eyes gleaming. This was clearly a divine invocation technique, and a remarkably skillful one at that. He only knew that Nengyue's talent in preserving the spirit was unparalleled, but he hadn't realized that his divine invocation technique was so powerful. And the Shangqing School was known for its expertise in preserving the spirit and invoking divine invocation. Heh, thinking about it carefully, it seemed that he hadn't gone to the mountain to preach for quite some time. Breaking his promise was dishonest. No, after this matter was settled, he must invite Nengyue to the mountain again, and this time he should stay longer.
The deputy head of Gezao Mountain, Daoist Shengying, stared intently at the Daoist on the small raft. How long had it been since he taught him the *Dongxuan Lingbao Shengxuan Buxu Zhang*? Listen to how beautifully he sang the verses, with their perfect intonation and rhythm! And how seamlessly he combined Lingbao rituals with "Three Lights in One Sky" and "Praying to Gods and Invoking Dragons"—could he truly be a born ritual prodigy? Perhaps Gezao Mountain should learn from Sanyuan Mountain and Juqu Mountain, imparting the true scriptures to him, and then inviting him to the mountain to preach, transmit the Dharma, or open a lineage and accept disciples. Wouldn't the two Ge brothers, being of the same lineage, find these things much easier than those two families?
Shi Tongxuan, the deputy leader of Sanqing Mountain, didn't care about the envious glances from those around him; perhaps he was even enjoying it. The old Taoist priest beamed with joy. He thought, "With such a disciple on Mingzhi Mountain, even when I'm nearing the end of my life and going to meet my ancestors in the afterlife, I can tell them this good news."
On the imperial carriage, Huang Hailongjun stared blankly at the phantom of the Poyang Lake Dragon King, utterly astonished. How long had it been? He had even undergone a tribulation of lightning during that time, and had already mastered the "Supreme Cave Abyss Divine Incantation Scripture"?
And how much magical power and mental energy does it consume to use this mantra to pray to the gods and invite dragons? Yet he only used it as a welcoming gift for himself.
As for the Dragon King of Poyang Lake, although he was merely formed from clouds and mist, he was not just an illusion or a clay figure, but rather seemed to possess a true spirit. After the Dragon King appeared in the world, he first looked around, and it seemed as if the vast ocean was changing in his eyes.
Then, the Dragon King withdrew his gaze and looked at the Taoist priest on the bamboo raft. The Dragon King's expression suddenly changed, a divine light flashed in his eyes, and he abruptly turned his head to look at the Gan River on the south bank of Poyang Lake.
The Dragon King stared at him for a long while before turning his head to look at the Taoist priest again. A smile appeared on his face, and he bowed and said...
"Accept the order."
Its sound was like a booming bell, spreading far and wide.
The Dragon King looked at the imperial carriage of the Yellow Sea Kingdom, then at the Yellow Sea Dragon Lord, his eyes revealing a natural appreciation. Then, he spoke loudly,
"Welcome Lord Qingyang to Jiangxi!"
As soon as the Dragon King finished speaking, the sound of the tide rose from Poyang Lake, and countless fish and dragons leaped out of the lake, as if singing and dancing. Waves surged on the lake surface, reflecting the sunlight and shimmering. The shimmering water twisted and changed, forming a special kind of writing, like a welcoming poem or a song.
The Taoist priest bowed to the Dragon King, sensing that the Dragon King's gaze was not that of someone looking at a mere sorcerer. He could roughly guess the reason, but time had passed, and what he was summoning now was merely a lingering echo of the Dragon King's power in his underwater palace; there was no need to elaborate. Most importantly, his ritual was not yet complete.
The Taoist priest put away the small cauldron and magic sword, and continued his journey on the raft.
Qingyang Zhaochuan stood up, and Gu Li followed suit, bowing to the Dragon King of Poyang. The nine dragons pulling the chariot almost buried their heads in the lake, not daring to look up, silently following the water trails left by the bamboo raft ahead.
The imperial procession continued forward, having passed the three welcoming ceremonies, and ahead lay the altar prepared by Mount Sanqing for the meeting and oath-taking ceremony.
The altar was made of yellow jade and floated on the lake. It had five steps, each nine inches high, and a green jade table was placed on top.
On both sides of the altar were rows of white jade pavilions, which served as seats for the invited guests. Representatives from Gezao Mountain, Sanyuan Mountain, Bingfeng Mountain, Juqu Mountain, Lushan Mountain, Siming Mountain, Luofu Mountain, Jinjing Mountain, Mingyue Mountain, and the four major sects of Ganzhou... Basically, all the prominent sects in Yuzhang and those with deep ties to Sanqing Mountain had come. This time, Laoshan Mountain was also specially invited.
All eyes of the onlookers were fixed on the Taoist priest on the bamboo raft.
As the bamboo raft approached the altar, the Taoist priest lifted his foot, left the raft, and stepped onto the altar. However, he did not continue to climb higher but stood on the first step to wait.
Before long, the imperial entourage of the Dragon Kingdom arrived.
The dragon stopped in front of the altar. The Dragon King stepped down from his jade carriage, walked on the water, and walked to the altar, standing shoulder to shoulder with the Taoist priest.
The Taoist priest first bowed and said,
"Lord Dragon, please allow me to inform you that my sect leader is waiting at the mountain gate. I have specially dispatched this humble Taoist to greet you here in advance and to take advantage of this precious land of the Great Lake to establish an alliance with you."
This arrangement was carefully considered. The Dragon King came ashore to sign an alliance with Sanqing Mountain, not to submit and worship. According to ancient rites, a sea-mountain oath should be made at a sacred mountain by the sea, such as Jieshi Mountain, Yandang Mountain, or Laoshan Mountain, to demonstrate equality. However, the Sea Kingdom was sincere and remembered the two times Sanqing Mountain had saved Gu Yi and his daughter's lives, which is why they were willing to come ashore and form an alliance.
The Sea Kingdom's sincerity was evident, and Sanqing Mountain naturally wanted to reciprocate, not simply accept a formal alliance by sending someone to their doorstep. Therefore, after much deliberation, they chose Poyang Lake within Yuzhang County as the venue for both the welcoming ceremony and the signing of the alliance agreement. This is one of the Five Lakes, a sacred body of water on land, with a vast area suitable for both the welcoming ceremony and the invitation of many guests to witness the event. Furthermore, it was sufficient to express respect for the Sea Kingdom and put their minds at ease.
These rituals had all been discussed with the Sea Kingdom, so the Dragon King was naturally aware of them. In fact, apart from the three welcoming ceremonies which hadn't been announced in advance, the Dragon King was fully aware of every step of the landing process.
Therefore, the Dragon King returned the gift.
"A grand ceremony on the sacred mountain, thanks to the arduous work of the scripture masters."
So the two of them walked hand in hand up the steps to the altar.
Upon reaching the top of the altar, Cheng Xinzhan and Long Jun stood back to back, bowing to the onlookers on both sides in gratitude.
On both sides of the cloud tower, everyone inside stood up to return the greeting. This was a gift from Master Wanfa of Sanqing Mountain and Lord Huanghai Longjun, and no one dared to accept it casually.
Then, the two turned around and walked side by side to the table.
As the host, Cheng Xinzhan took the first step, picking up the incense from the table, lighting it, bowing to heaven and earth in all directions, and then placing it in the incense burner. Next, he took out a blue jade disc with inscriptions on it, held it with both hands, and recited aloud,
"The year is Wuzi, and the Spring Equinox is an auspicious day."
Poyang Lake bears witness, and all the immortals are aware of it.
Sanqingshan reports to the Yellow Sea Dragon Kingdom:
The Great Dao is formless, yet it gives birth to Heaven and Earth; the Daoist school has teachings, yet it saves all living beings. Our mountain inherits the orthodox lineage of the Three Pure Ones and continues the Dharma lineage of Ge Xian. For six thousand years, it has propagated the Dao, expounded the Dharma, eliminated demons, and brought peace to the people. Now we hear that in the Yellow Sea dwells the Azure Yang Dragon Lord, whose virtue matches Heaven and Earth, whose might shakes the vast ocean, whose blessings extend to all living beings, whose merits rival those of Creation. He is truly the true master of the Water Palace and the enlightened king of the four seas.
Today, thanks to the Dragon King's favor, we wish to form an alliance to uphold the righteous path. This is the will of Heaven and a blessing for all living beings.
We now honor the Yellow Sea Qingyang Dragon Lord as the "Guangji Puhua Dragon King," and hang his image on the mountain. From now on, the Yellow Sea and Qingshan will forever be brotherly nations, sharing the same breath and branches, exchanging resources, sharing joys and sorrows, and jointly attaining the Great Dao.
This vow is as vast as the sea!
I humbly request:
In the Dragon Kingdom of the Yellow Sea, the waves are flat and the water is long, and the country will be enjoyed forever.
Respectfully written by Ji Hehe at Sanqingshan.
The 17th day of the second month of the year Wuzi.
The Taoist priest finished reciting.
Huang Hailong was taken aback. He hadn't expected that Sanqing Mountain would bestow upon him the title "Guangji Puhua" (meaning "to benefit all beings and promote enlightenment"). This was truly a high regard for him.
The Dragon King's face remained expressionless, solemn and dignified. After offering incense, he also took out a yellow jade disc, which was also engraved with characters. Holding the disc, the Dragon King read aloud,
"The Spring Equinox falls on the auspicious day of the Year of the Earth Rat."
The sacred lake bears witness, and all the immortals have seen it.
Huang Hailongguo reported to Sanqingshan:
The mysterious waters possess a spirit, nourishing the eight directions; the dragon race, inheriting the mandate, protects the four corners of the land. Our nation, upholding the virtues of King Yu and continuing the true lineage of the Azure Dragon, has for two thousand years ruled the vast ocean, harmonized wind and rain, and brought blessings to the people. Now, we hear of the Harmony Immortal on Mount Sanqing, whose Dao is as profound as the primordial chaos, whose laws pervade heaven and earth, whose virtue matches the sun and moon, and whose merits fill the land. He is truly a master of Daoism, an immortal being of the land.
Today, we are fortunate to be favored by the sect leader and are willing to form an alliance to uphold the righteous path. This is a blessing for all things and a testament to the harmony between heaven and earth.
We now honor the head of the Sanqing Mountain sect, the Hehe Zhenren, as "Taixu Zhiyi Zhenren," and the Sanqing Mountain Wanfa Jingshi, the Xinzhan Yushi, as "Tongzhen Guanghong Xiansheng," and erect a shrine for them by the sea. From now on, Sanqing Mountain and the Yellow Sea will forever be a land of brothers, sharing weal and woe, practicing the Dao, sharing joys and sorrows, and ascending to the wondrous realm together.
This vow is as firm as a mountain!
I humbly request:
The Three Pure Immortal Mountains are blessed with abundant immortal fortune and enduring Taoist traditions.
Written respectfully by Huang Hailongguo, Qingyang Zhaochuan.
The 17th day of the second month of the year Wuzi.
The Dragon King finished reading.
The Taoist priest listened attentively the whole time. When he heard that Huang Hai was the leader of the sect, he nodded to himself. Harmony and unity are the embodiment of the return of all things to oneness. He thought that Huang Hai had put a lot of thought into it. However, the next moment, he heard his own name.
The Taoist was so astonished that he couldn't help but turn his head to look at the Dragon Lord. "A title of 'Master' has never been mentioned before!"
Huang Hailong smiled and ignored the Taoist priest. He walked around the incense table, came to the edge of the altar, held the jade disc in his hands, and extended it outside the altar.
Seeing this, Cheng Xinzhan quickly followed suit, holding the jade disc outwards.
The two let go at the same time, and the jade fell into the lake.
"thump--"
With a splash of water, thunderous applause erupted from the cloud towers on both banks, and the imperial carriage of the Dragon Kingdom played celestial music.
The Dragon King of Poyang Lake witnessed the two jade discs sink to the bottom of the lake and slowly disappeared with a smile.
