Red Dragon has magic

Chapter 7 Wave after wave

Chapter 7: Wave after Wave

Even by dragon standards, red dragons are particularly proud. Saloves was scared at first, and her proud tail drooped down and dragged weakly on the ground, but soon she hardened up again, her nature forced her to snort and she said, "You're not dead?"

Lyon originally thought that some wild beast was harassing him, so he ran to the cave entrance dragging his sword and took a look. What caught his eye was a baby dragon, and he was really surprised.

At the same time, the dragon chick gave him a familiar feeling, and it was easy to guess that it was a dragon chick born in the same litter as him, his brother or sister. Looking at the other dragon's body, which was obviously smaller than his, and although it had a large head that was not very coordinated like all dragon chicks, the other parts of her body were beautiful, and she was obviously his sister.

Why didn’t the mother dragon come, but the sister dragon came instead?
The most important issue was that the other party was obviously talking to him - with rhythm, pauses, and intonation, it could only be language, not just shouting - regardless of whether there was actually such a thing as the Dragon Heritage, he couldn't understand what the other party was saying anyway?
The opponent was originally showing off his might and was ready to attack, but now he has retracted his attacking stance... What on earth happened?
It seemed unlikely that she came to ask after her brother. Could it be that she came to ask him to go home on behalf of the dragoness? So should he go home with her? If it was about food, he could take care of it himself. Besides that, what other help could the dragoness give him? Teach him magic?

Leon was thinking wildly. Seeing that the dragonfly standing opposite him did not respond, Sarovice got angry again. As a red dragon, she was so angry. She roared: "Are you ignoring me?"

Leon finally reacted, and thought that if he didn't say anything, Dragon Girl would definitely think he was looking down on her, and would pounce on her in anger. So he raised his empty hand, pointed at his ear with a claw, and then shook it.

If the gestures didn't work, there was nothing he could do.

It was obvious that Saloves understood. Her angry voice became much quieter as she asked, "Are you deaf?"

It seems like he doesn't quite understand.

The intelligence of the white dragon is quite low, it is simply a shame for the five-colored dragons, but the intelligence of the red dragon is not low. Sarovis quickly figured it out and said, "You don't understand what I'm saying?"

The dragon girl couldn't understand why there were real dragons that couldn't hear the dragon language. Anyway, she hadn't learned the dragon language beforehand, but she knew what the mother dragon meant when she heard the dragon language, and she could speak the dragon language when she wanted to express something.

"Freak, you are such a freak." Sarovice felt like she had regained some face. "Idiot, no wonder you ran out right after you hatched and fell into the dragon's nest."

"Why did my mother give birth to a fool like you? Why do I have a brother like you?" Saloves flapped her wings. "Your existence will only bring shame to my mother and to me."

"Just let me kill you." Long Mei said fiercely with a fierce look in her eyes. Although she said that, there was no murderous intent on her face. She just raised her claws.

Leon didn't understand what Long Mei was saying, but he could feel that she had no ill intentions and didn't do anything.

Dragon Girl lowered her claws, looked at Leon's body which was a circle bigger than hers, nodded, and said: "You can eat fish, crabs and snails here. I will come to kill you when I grow bigger than you. Don't die before I come to find you."

The dragon girl spread her wings, stirred up a gust of wind and flew up, flapping her wings at a high frequency, and flew towards the high mountains in the distance. That was the location of the dragon's nest.

Leon was confused and didn't understand why the dragon girl came over and why she left. He just envied the dragon girl for being able to fly. He tried to flap his wings but still couldn't fly. He turned back to the cave and fell asleep in a depressed mood.

As usual, Leon slept until he woke up hungry. After a good sleep, the depression he felt from envying Dragon Girl's ability to fly disappeared a lot. He stretched his neck and crawled out of the cave, thinking that he could prepare some food in advance if possible so that he wouldn't have to go out to find food every time he woke up hungry.

Because he had eaten most of the big fish nearby, he had to go farther this time.

He would sleep after eating, and eat after sleeping. He could sleep whenever he wanted. Insomnia was a strange word to him now. In this way, a day would pass by in a flash.

It was already noon when he woke up again. After a hearty meal, Lyon prepared for work after a long time. However, it was rare for him to wake up at noon, and the sun was shining brightly, so it was a good time to bask in the sun.

A dragon's ears are roughly as sensitive as a human's, and the range of tones a dragon can hear is similar to that of a human. However, due to its ability to recognize what sounds are important, automatically filtering out background noise, and focusing on noteworthy sounds, even the youngest dragon has more acute hearing than a typical human.

There was no wind at all in the hot weather. There was no sound of wind blowing through the leaves. Even the sound of water was very quiet. Only the sound of cicadas could be heard. Lyon lazily lay by the river, basking in the sun and automatically filtering out those meaningless sounds until a footstep sounded. Lyon opened his eyes and saw a middle-aged man who looked a little sloppy standing there.

The middle-aged man was of medium build, slightly thin, with slightly pale skin. He wore glasses and a long robe with intricate magical runes embroidered on the cuffs and hem.

Leon stood up vigilantly and growled at the man to remind him not to get close. He glanced around with the corner of his eye, ready to run away at any time if he saw something wrong.

Leon saw the man stop far away, raised his hands as if to show that he had no ill intentions, and then said something, which was similar to what Dragon Girl said.

Lyon naturally didn't understand.

The man crossed his arms over his chest, nodded slightly, touched his pocket, took out something and rubbed it, then muttered something in his mouth, made a gesture, and a blue light flashed, and he spread it towards Leon, and the light immediately fell on him.

Leon did not resist that power.

The man spoke again.

"I have no ill intentions."

"Madam Moltenmaw sent me."

"You should understand what I'm saying."

"Now say anything, in any form."

It was a very strange feeling. Although these were words he had never heard before, he just understood what they meant. Leon swallowed.

Leon took a deep breath and yelled three times in a row: “Who are you?”

"I am the chief mage under your mother, Lady Moltenmaw... You can call me Edwin."

"What did you do?" Leon said. "What kind of spell was that?"

"A very simple spell...Language proficiency." Edwin explained to himself, "Language is magical, and words are also magical. Through this spell, you can understand the literal meaning of any spoken language you hear. Including the written language you see, but the prerequisite is that you must touch the surface with the words on it."

Edwin made a handwriting gesture and said, "Of course it must be written by hand, not printed by a soulless machine."

Leon had certainly heard of linguistics.

Leon twitched the corner of his mouth.

It seems that the mother dragon did not give up on him, and the world of martial arts has been in turmoil since then.
