Chapter 333 A World-Shaking Change Begins Here; Crisis Lurks in the Sacred Land of Spirit Mountain

"Senior Brother, why is this?"

Unable to struggle, the Monkey King glared angrily at Yi Feizi.

Yi Feizi sighed softly: "Good monkey, do you still have the same intelligence you had when you first came up the mountain? You are blinded by your true nature, arrogant and unaware of your own arrogance, and you are not like a great supernatural being at all."

The Monkey King wanted to say something, but Yi Feizi sealed his mouth: "Tongue breeds trouble, junior brother, you should not say more. With the blessing of the ancestral master, I hope you will get rid of the disaster soon."

After saying this, Yi Feizi, holding the jade ruyi, looked at Li Tianwang and said, "The Monkey King has been subdued, so he is now handed over to the Heavenly King."

Li Tianwang quickly expressed his gratitude and ordered someone to take the Heavenly Law Chains and pierce the Monkey King's collarbone, rendering all his supernatural powers useless and all his mysteries vanish without a trace.

"The ringleader has been brought to justice, but thousands of demons still wreak havoc in the region. They should be eradicated completely. Where is Nezha?"

As soon as Li Tianwang finished speaking, Yi Feizi said, "Your Majesty, Heaven cherishes life, the immortals value life, and the Buddhists delight in giving. They are just a group of ignorant beings. As the saying goes, a fine weapon is an inauspicious instrument. The sages use it out of necessity. So let them live."

Upon hearing this, Li Tianwang hurriedly said, "What the True Man says makes sense. Even so, let us all go and capture those jackals, wolves, tigers, and leopards, and devour those demons, so that the spirit monkeys in the mountains may gain some fortune."

After giving his orders, the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals who had begun searching for the many demons looked at Yi Feizi and said, “You have rendered meritorious service to Heaven and Earth. I will certainly report this to the Great Heavenly Venerable to show your compassion.”

Yi Feizi said solemnly, “I have come here to subdue the rebellious Monkey King by order of the Heavenly Emperor and the decree of the Patriarch. Now that everything is done, I shall report to the Patriarch and return the decree. I dare not be negligent.”

Upon hearing this, Li Tianwang ceased the invitation, only saying that the True Man's virtue was truly admirable. Immediately afterward, he led his celestial soldiers and generals to escort the Great Sage back to Heaven.

At this moment, in the Lingxiao Palace, the Jade Emperor sat on his throne, watching the battle from afar with Laozi, Bodhisattvas, and others. He saw Yi Feizi holding a Ruyi scepter, whose words could be made law, and he praised him repeatedly.

"As expected of a sage from a previous life and a disciple of Taiyi, such Daoist aura is truly rare."

As soon as the Great Celestial Venerable finished speaking, Laozi smiled and said, "Such a true person, if he does not go to Heaven to receive the Celestial Register, is truly a lost gem in the mortal world."

"The Dao Ancestor's words are reasonable. In this evaluation of merits and rewards, Yi Fei Zhenren should be ranked first and should not be treated poorly."

As the Jade Emperor nodded, his gaze also fell upon the Bodhisattva of the Sea beside him.

Guanyin Bodhisattva, with her profound wisdom, immediately clasped her hands together and bowed to the Heavenly Venerable: "Your Majesty, now that Heavenly King Li has returned in triumph and is escorting the Great Sage to Heaven, how should he be instructed?"

The word "admonishment" represents the attitude of this sea bodhisattva, or rather, the Buddhist, towards the monkey.

The Jade Emperor glanced at Laozi, who remained calm and silent.

After a long silence, the Jade Emperor said solemnly, "Such a grave crime deserves to be executed at the Demon-Slaying Platform. He shall be subjected to any form of torture, including being chopped with swords and axes, struck by lightning, or burned by fire, to demonstrate his guilt."

Slaying a powerful being on the Demon-Slaying Platform—if that were to get out, countless people would laugh themselves to death.

……

Now, the Great Sage, when escorted to the Lingxiao Palace, showed no intention of bowing his head and was immediately sent to the Demon-Slaying Platform.

The Jade Emperor immediately issued an edict to punish the demon monkey with the most extreme punishments, such as being chopped with knives and axes, struck by lightning, and burned by fire.

Immediately, the gods bound the Great Sage to the Heavenly Pillar, and brought out various divine weapons such as the Demon-Slaying Blade and the Demon-Subduing Axe, and began to chop at his head.

There was a series of clanging and banging, but the Great Sage showed no signs of injury.

"Hahaha, you little brats, how could you possibly harm your maternal grandfather in the slightest? If it weren't for Yi Feizi bringing the ancestral master's treasure, would you have been able to subdue me?"

The monkey, laughing arrogantly, looked down at all the gods in the hall and shouted, "Old Jade Emperor, bring on whatever tricks you have up your sleeve!"

The generals were greatly alarmed and could only hurriedly report to the court: "Your Majesty, that demon monkey has boundless supernatural powers. Whether it is cut by sword or axe, struck by lightning or burned by fire, it will only cause the slightest injury. We cannot do anything about it."

Upon hearing this, the Jade Emperor feigned surprise and said, "How could a mere monkey demon, bound by heavenly rules, possess such supernatural powers?"

After speaking, the Jade Emperor pondered for a moment, then looked at Laozi and asked, "Ancestor, do you have a solution?"

"Yes, yes, it certainly exists."

Lao Jun laughed and said, "This monkey stole my Nine-Turn Golden Elixir, some raw and some cooked, and swallowed it all. It was forged into a creation to preserve itself. Although its wisdom is dull and its realm is turbulent, it still relies on this false Primordial State, and no human power can harm it."

"Such is the way of things. I wonder what wondrous method the Ancestor possesses to break his supernatural powers?"

Lao Jun pondered for a moment, then said, "Why not put him into my alchemy furnace and let me refine him to improve my cultivation and dissolve his myriad magical powers? In this way, the Nine-Turn Golden Elixir can be reproduced, and this monkey will naturally turn to ashes and vanish into thin air."

Upon hearing this, the Jade Emperor nodded: "In that case, we shall do as the Dao Ancestor says. Everyone, quickly escort that demon monkey to the Great Crimson Heaven."

"As you command!" The generals bowed respectfully.

A moment later, a wisp of auspicious cloud emerged from the sky and headed straight for the Great Red Tushita Palace.

Under Laozi's command, the gods sent the monkey into the Eight Trigrams Furnace.

"Set up the furnace and cauldron, start the fire and cook, following the seven cycles of heat control."

After Laozi gave his instructions, the furnace-keeper and the fire-controlling boy dared not delay in the slightest and immediately got to work, treating the furnace as a large pot of medicine and beginning to refine the pills.

The Monkey King, upon entering the Eight Trigrams Furnace, seemed to enter another realm. He finally broke free from the shackles of heavenly rules, soaring up and down, displaying boundless wonders and immeasurable supernatural powers, in order to break through the barrier and escape.

But all the myriad supernatural powers and countless mysteries were completely dissipated by the heat of the fire.

The immeasurable magical power could not even touch the flames, yet it was ignited, causing extreme terror.

"Oh no, oh no! It must be the primordial fire that Master spoke of when he preached, which can burn everything."

Sun Wukong was covered in soot, his fur turning yellowish-brown. The intense heat had even scorched his inner world, causing his boundless magical power to explode like an ocean of oil in an instant.

Fortunately, Wukong listened to the teachings with utmost seriousness back then.

Knowing that the primordial fire cannot be extinguished until everything is burned to nothingness, it will not be extinguished.

Therefore, the monkey immediately used a spell to send a wisp of light carrying the sacred embryo out, shedding its outer shell.

And then, the moment the body fell into the flames, it roared and burst into flames, turning into nothingness in the blink of an eye, which fueled the power of the fire, and a glimmer of spiritual light flickered in the distance.

"Could it be that I, Old Sun, am destined to die today?"

Wukong wept inwardly, his five senses were in turmoil, and two gods were causing trouble.

But in just a short while, Wukong was exhausted by the heat, and his spirit and body fell into a deep sleep, not far from falling into the sea of fire.

Until this moment, without the disturbance of the two gods, Wukong's mind finally became clear.

"This... the Bagua position?"

“Fortune, fortune! I once competed with my senior brother and learned the Feng Hou Qi Men method. Today, it is time for me to discern directions and find the location of the Gate of Life.”

The spiritual light that Wukong transformed into flickered, and he used his initial profound skill again to evolve the Feng Hou Qi Men method. Finally, he saw through the wonder of the operation of the Eight Trigrams and realized that the Gate of Life was located in the Xun position.

"This is the place, where it is said: 'The center of Li is empty, the center of Kan is full, the top of Dui is missing, the bottom of Xun is broken, and the gate of life is right here!'"

The spiritual light that Wukong transformed into entered the Xun position, where it finally encountered cool air, grasped a sliver of life, and was able to catch its breath.

Good monkey, although lacking in wisdom, with the help of the golden elixir and the power of the pseudo-primordial chaos, escaped the scorching fire of the primordial chaos and recovered in the blink of an eye, reappearing in its true form.

Outside the alchemy furnace, Laozi sat cross-legged on a futon, seemingly sensing something, and looked into the furnace.

"good."

After Laozi finished speaking, he closed his eyes to rest and said no more.

The fire-maker and the fire-tending boy looked at each other, wondering why Laozi had suddenly praised them.

"Since Grandfather Lao Jun is doing this, we should put in three-tenths of our effort and not slack off in the slightest."

The boy with the gold-threaded hair bun spoke, causing the boy with the silver-threaded hair bun beside him to freeze in shock. The boy nodded repeatedly and obediently said, "Brother is right."

In this way, forty-nine days passed in the blink of an eye, which is the time required for the Seven-Turn Golden Elixir to be refined.

The great task was about to be completed. After the divine fire in the furnace was extinguished, Laozi himself spoke.

"Boom!"

A thunderclap shook the heavens, and a golden light illuminated the world.

The moment the alchemy furnace opened wide, the Monkey King leaped out.

The Great Sage, enraged beyond measure, kicked back into the Eight Trigrams Furnace, and with a burst of golden light, prepared to leave.

"Oh no! The demon monkey has escaped!"

The boy in charge of the fire was about to be pulled away by the Taoist priest tending the furnace, but was knocked away by Sun Wukong's staff.

Even Laozi was knocked down by a single blow, nearly falling head over heels.

"You old Jade Emperor, prepare to die!"

Sun Wukong grinned and swung his staff down from the Tushita Heaven.

"Grandpa Lao Jun..."

Two children came closer and looked at Laozi who had fallen.

Lao Jun laughed as he stood up and straightened his Taoist robe: "This mischievous monkey, his inner ape has completely suppressed his true nature, he's going to suffer disaster."

After saying that, Laozi glared at the boy and the Taoist priest: "The palace is in chaos, why don't you hurry up and clean it up? What else are you meddling in?"

"Yes, Grandfather Lao Jun."

The children and Taoist priests busied themselves cleaning up the mess left behind by Sun Wukong.

……

Thousands of heavenly soldiers, as dense as a tide, surrounded the Great Sage.

"You dare to stop me?"

Sun Wukong held his Ruyi Jingu Bang (magic staff), waving it in the wind until it became as thick as a bowl, yet he still held it in his hand, indiscriminately killing everyone in his path.

The magic staff in his hand transformed into countless sizes; with one strike, the heavenly palace collapsed, and with another, the temple shattered.

All sorts of supernatural powers and rare treasures could not get close to Sun Wukong.

So frightened were the Nine Luminaries who shut themselves in their rooms, and the Four Heavenly Kings who vanished without a trace.

As he fought his way through, Sun Wukong showed no mercy with his staff, annihilating gods and immortals alike.

What business is it of yours, Great Immortals or Supreme Immortals? A mere graze and you're injured, a direct hit and you're dead, reduced to ashes. The slaughter was so fierce that the saints bled, the Three Realms paled, and they rushed straight to the Lingxiao Palace.

"Where are you going, you impudent monkey! With me here, you must not be so arrogant!"

A furious roar shook heaven and earth, and auspicious lights shone brightly, golden lotuses bloomed, it was the descent of the Heavenly Venerable.

The newcomer had a red face and beard, wore golden armor and a red robe, and had a third eye open between his brows. He was none other than the Great Spirit Official of the Capital Heaven, the number one guardian deity.

Of course, this title seems ordinary, nothing more than a spirit official or protector.

The so-called spirit officials and protectors are merely assigned duties. The proper official rank and title is: Taiyi Thunderous Powerful Manifestation Heavenly Venerable!

"Anyone who stops me will die!"

The mighty Monkey King unleashed his great supernatural power of transforming heaven and earth, smashing the Tongming Palace with one kick and piercing through the nine heavens with one cudgel, causing time to reverse and all things to return to nothingness.

"Insanity!"

The Great Spirit Official was enraged and manifested his mighty power, unleashing the Primordial Chaos Force. All the Great Daos opened with his whip, and with a single point of his head, the sun dimmed, and all the gods and spirits of heaven and earth trembled in fear.

The two great powers are the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, who possesses extraordinary supernatural abilities, and the Supreme Lord of Thunderous Roar.

The battle was so fierce that heaven and earth were overturned and the nine heavens were shattered, and all the saints within and beyond the universe were shocked!
In a short while, the Great Spirit Official intuitively felt that this demon monkey was unstoppable, possessing boundless magical power and all kinds of supernatural abilities.

No matter how the Great Spirit Official evolved the Primordial Dao and what supernatural powers he achieved, the Great Sage used them all, even surpassing him. Truly worthy of the profound mystery of the Initial True Understanding, the Holy Fighting Technique that has suppressed all ages.

Meanwhile, inside the Lingxiao Palace, the Jade Emperor watched this scene with an expression neither sad nor happy.

With the Victory Strike Technique in hand, this monkey is invincible in the Primordial Dao Fruit, and all gods and demons bow their heads in submission.

If you want to subdue the monkey, only the Supreme Limit can do so.

But how many people in the world possess this boundless Dao?

After a long silence, the Jade Emperor finally spoke: "Issue a decree to summon the foremost deity of the Western Paradise, the Buddha of the Sacred Mountain of the Spirit Realm, to come and subdue the demon."

Immediately, the Wandering Spirit Official and the True Lord Yisheng prostrated themselves to receive the decree and hurriedly headed towards the Western Holy Land.

A moment later, at the Sacred Mountain of Spirits.

The two True Lords, Youyi and Yisheng, descended on clouds and were greeted by the Four Vajras and the Eight Bodhisattvas, who inquired about the cause and effect.

The two True Lords only said that they had come on the orders of the Great Heavenly Venerable. Upon hearing this, the crowd dared not be negligent in the slightest and hurriedly led the two True Lords inside to pay their respects to the Buddha.

On the seven-colored lotus platform, the Buddha, seated high, inquired, "What is the purpose of the two saints' descent to deliver their decrees?"

The two True Lords bowed to Zhenru before saying, "Venerable Buddha, please allow me to report that in the past, the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, Sun Wukong, rebelled against Heaven. Now he is causing havoc in the Heavenly Palace, manifesting the Primordial Chaos Form, and is fighting with the Heavenly Venerable Taiyi Thunderclap. No one can subdue him. Therefore, the Jade Emperor specially invites you, Venerable Buddha, to set out to subdue the demon."

Upon hearing the imperial edict, the Buddha immediately descended from his lotus throne and said, “Everyone, please sit quietly and recite the scriptures while I return to rescue you. I trouble the Buddha from the East to go to the Taiyi Grotto Heaven and explain this cause and effect to the Venerable Chu Shi.”

Upon hearing this, the smiling Maitreya walked out of the class, with the two Dharma protectors, Weituo, standing beside him: "We will obey the Buddha's decree."

After speaking, the Buddha from the East used his great power, and a lotus flower bloomed in the pool of Taiyi Cave, giving birth to a thousand-petaled Buddha deity.

Beside the pool, Zhou Cheng sat upright in the pavilion, seemingly pondering: "Why did the Buddha not come when he was informed?"

The smiling Buddha greeted him with palms together, saying, "Venerable One, you have come for the sake of the Great Sage."

“In that case, let’s have the Buddha teach us a thing or two,” Zhou Cheng said with a smile.

"Buddha hasn't visited for a long time, why don't we brew some tea and have a game?"

“How could I refuse the invitation from the Venerable One? But now that the World Honored One, the Buddha, has gone far away to Mount Ling, I fear something might happen, so I dare not go far away.”

As soon as the Buddha of the East finished speaking, Zhou Cheng looked towards Mount Ling, illuminating all illusions, and immediately understood: "That Mara, have the Buddhas of Mount Ling already lost control?"

The matter of Mara is a secret of Mount Ling.

However, as a person of immeasurable virtue, it was only natural that Zhou Cheng knew about the situation of that Mara.

Therefore, the Buddha of the East was not surprised, but sighed and said, "Your Excellency is wise. Now this humble monk can no longer stay on Mount Sumeru in the East. I need to stay permanently in the Blissful Land of the Vulture Peak."

Zhou Cheng nodded and said, "In that case, Buddha, please depart. We can discuss the Dao again at the Ullambana Festival."

Seeing Zhou Cheng's statement, the Smiling Buddha was taken aback for a moment, then his smile deepened: "In that case, I thank you for your kindness, Venerable One."
