Chapter 9 A sudden claw strike!

A warm, moist sensation enveloped my right ear, followed by a piercing, sharp pain and a crisp crack!
Guo Mi felt that her ear must have been bitten through, and she froze instantly, too scared to move!
Oh no, she was careless. After turning into a bear, she forgot that her ears were no longer on the sides of her face, but on the top of her head!
Is she about to turn into a one-eared bear?!

No!! That's too ugly!! She can't accept it!!

Caesar bit down on Guo Mi's ear, and when he realized she was still trying to struggle, his eyes flashed with anger!
Just as I was about to tear her ears off, the image of that strange mother bear's two round ears bouncing up and down as she ran involuntarily popped into my mind.

He hesitated for a moment, and somehow managed not to kill him!

The pain in his paws suddenly intensified. Caesar looked down and saw that the mother bear's eyes were faintly filled with... well, tears?!

Upon closer inspection, a fierce, suicidal glint had erupted in those round eyes, coupled with the lingering tears, leaving Caesar momentarily stunned and a strange feeling rising within him.

However, this feeling did not last long and was quickly overshadowed by the wildness that filled his blood!
But when faced with this stubborn, round bear, Caesar's initial desire to fight it off gradually faded away.

His eyes darkened as he looked at the mother bear who was still biting his paw and refusing to let go. Taking advantage of his size, he lunged forward!
Caught off guard, Guo Mi was thrown backward and landed on her back in the snow. Before she could react, a loud "bang" was heard near her injured ear!
Caesar's huge claw slammed heavily against her ear, and the cool wind it generated blew into her ear canal through her injured earlobe!
Caesar's massive and imposing body pressed down on Guo Mi, and he lowered his head, letting out a fierce roar at her!

The hot, humid breath, carrying the smell of blood, hit Guo Mi's nose, creating an extreme sense of oppression both visually and psychologically!

It was as if this was about to crush her fighting spirit!
The hidden weakness in Guo Mi's heart seemed to burst forth instantly, gradually eroding her will to resist.

The roar that was about to be exchanged with Caesar was stuck in his throat. His muscular forelimbs instantly lost their strength and began to spread out to the sides, making a gurgling sound.

This is a sign of weakness.

Caesar was not surprised by this reaction. He had defeated many bears, and different bears would all do the same thing under his claws: beg for mercy.

Most of these bears, especially the females, would avoid him from the very beginning and wouldn't even dare to confront him.

The fact that this strange mother bear could hold out in front of him for so long was enough to impress him.

However, now that the mother bear has given in, he is very satisfied and can now begin to exercise the rights of the victor!
As Guo Mi watched the male bear lower its head further and further, her heart was pounding in her throat. Just as she was about to stop it, the bear impatiently raised its paw and pressed it directly against her chest!

With a tightness in her chest, Guo Mi struggled in vain and could only let the other party act recklessly.

A heavy breathing sound came from beside her ear, and the male bear's wet nose brushed from the top of her head to her ear!
The panting sound, accompanied by hot, humid breath, sprayed into my ears, and the wet tip of my nose pressed against my earlobe, inevitably bringing a touch of coolness.

Guo Mi was completely numb, her whole body stiffened. If it weren't for the thick fur covering her body, she would have liked to lift it up to see if she was covered in goosebumps.

The other person seemed oblivious to her stiffness and resistance, or perhaps simply didn't care, and their actions became increasingly brazen!
The trembling tip of her nose moved down from Guo Mi's ear, then gradually approached the nape of his neck, which he had wanted to smell but hadn't been able to touch last time.

Guo Mi: "..."

Sigh, as expected, it still doesn't work.

No sooner said than done, just as Caesar was about to continue sniffing, a sharp gust of wind suddenly brushed past his ear, followed by a "smack!" A round bear paw came hurtling over, abruptly and naturally slapping Caesar's furry bear face!

He probably didn't expect her to dare to resist, or perhaps he was just stunned by the beating.

Before the male bear could react, Guo Mi raised her paw and slapped it a few more times!
The force with which she swung her claws was intriguing to the bear; it was neither so strong as to injure Caesar, nor so gentle as to make him think she was feigning weakness or trying to win him over.

The intensity is just right, and it doesn't hurt your brain.

That was enough to make this strong, raging male bear feel that its dignity had been challenged, and then it flew into a rage!
Seeing the frenzied state of the person opposite her, Guo Mi silently counted "three, two, one" in her mind. Before the two huge claws could land on her, she used all her strength to roll over and successfully dodged them!

Two large, snow-white paws slammed hard into the snow, producing a crisp sound that Guo Mi had expected!

Guo Mi was overjoyed, as she heard the first crisp sound followed immediately by a cacophony of other crisp sounds, and of course, she didn't miss the astonishment in the eyes of the annoying male bear.

It happened in almost a second. The spot where Caesar's front paw struck instantly collapsed, and the broken ice mixed with soft, swirling snowflakes carried the huge polar bear headfirst into the snow cave!
Although it was just a small snow hole, not big enough for Caesar to fall in headfirst, the narrowness of the opening and his awkward position should have been enough to delay him for a while!

Guo Mi looked at her work with satisfaction.

She had heard a faint cracking sound from the moment the male polar bear tackled her to the snow.

At that time, she boldly guessed that there should be an elevated ice layer below, and she was right!
Although she had just tried to escape by feigning weakness, it turned out that she felt most at ease having her life in her own hands.

Hoping to escape by relying on the mercy of wild beasts is, to some extent, naive!

Thinking this, Guo Mi watched Caesar fall into the hole, turned around, pawed backward twice with her hind legs, and then dug a couple more times with her paws to get into the hole before she felt relieved. She then ran towards the two dumbfounded bear cubs not far away:
"Run!"

The two bear cubs seemed to wake from a dream, and hurriedly staggered to catch up with Guo Mi's pace, and began to run away for their lives!
Guo Mi ran a few steps forward and found that the larger one could barely keep up, while the smaller one, perhaps due to its personality or malnutrition, was left far behind.

She sighed inwardly, "Oh well, I've already helped, so what's a little more?"

So he decisively ran back, and under the bear's surprised and uncertain gaze, he lowered his head, grabbed the back of the bear's neck, and carried the bear in his mouth, and then continued running forward!

The larger bear stared blankly at her running with her younger brother in her mouth, a strange light appearing in its eyes. For a moment, it seemed as if it saw another bear in its memory, living with her and her brother in the snow in the same way, and its eyes involuntarily reddened.

Guo Mi ran for a while before noticing that the other end didn't seem to be following, so she could only turn around and call out vaguely:

"Run!"

The little bear then seemed to wake from a dream, lowered its head, and quickly followed.
