Chapter 76

The unfamiliar male bear's vision blurred for a second, and the next second it was slammed away by a tremendous force from the side!
At that moment, time seemed to slow down. Slok watched as astonishment, bewilderment, confusion, pain, and fear simultaneously appeared on the male bear's face...

His eyes were wide open, his mouth was agape, and saliva was spitting out. His body was arched in a large arc from the impact!

Two seconds later, there was another muffled thud!
"boom--!"

The male bear was thrown high into the air by the impact, then crashed heavily to the ground!
Slok blinked, then recognized the furry ball that had bumped into the bear, and cried out in surprise:

"Guo Mi?!"

Guo Mi took a couple of deep breaths, slowly walked up to Slock, shielded him behind her, and asked in a deep voice:
"Slok, are you alright?"

Slok could only see her round back from behind. Moved to tears by Guo Mi's arrival to save her, he then seemed to realize something and turned to look around in alarm.

Although he didn't see the figure he feared, the bear deflated like a punctured balloon, instantly slumping down and whispering:
"I, I'm fine."

Guo Mi turned and looked at him, hesitating to speak.

Slok chuckled dryly twice, then took two steps forward, as if to prove something to Guo Mi:
"Look, I can still walk."

He seemed to be trying hard to prove himself, and after thinking for a moment, he added:
"Don't underestimate me just because I'm timid. I'm still a male bear, you know. I only got scratched. It's not as serious as you think."

Guo Mi's gaze fell on his waist, where a huge and gruesome wound lingered. Even though Slok kept saying he was fine, his trembling body, writhing in pain, betrayed him.

Looking at Slok's forced and ingratiating smile, Guo Mi's heart skipped a beat, and after a second or two, she suddenly said:

"Slok, you don't have to force yourself to laugh if you don't want to."

Slok froze, opened his mouth, but said nothing and simply lowered his head.

Guo Mi sighed inwardly, about to say something, when a strange voice suddenly rang in her ears:
"No way, Slok, you've found a new backer after your brother?"

Guo Mi turned around and saw the male bear.

It looked like he had been lying on the ground for a while before getting up. He was pacing back and forth around them a short distance away, looking her up and down with a very disapproving look, and speaking in an exaggerated tone:
"Isn't that a mother bear?!"

His mocking gaze fell on Slok, and he chuckled:
"You're protecting her cubs?"

Slok opened his mouth, but the bear opposite him, seemingly not intending to wait for his answer, immediately interrupted:

"Don't try to deny it, I can already smell the brat!"

The two little bears have lived with Guo Mi for a long time. The scent that belonged to Kaya on them has long since disappeared, leaving only the scent of Guo Mi. They are now Guo Mi's little bears.

What new point of mockery has the male bear found?

"Slok, you're not protecting her cubs because you want to mate with her, are you? Is there really a male bear in this world who would protect another male bear's offspring just to mate?"

The male bear marveled.

"This is truly a rare sight indeed!"

He suddenly chuckled again:
"But then again, it's not surprising that something so rare happened to you. After all, you're a freak among polar bears!"

The bear stopped, its eyes fixed on Slok, who didn't even dare to lift his head, and said, word by word:

"Slok, it's a disgrace to the entire polar bear race to have a guy like you!"

Slok just hung his head, not uttering a single word in rebuttal. His ears were tightly tucked behind his ears, and his massive body was huddled together, looking pitiful and helpless.

Guo Mi's face darkened, and her voice turned chillingly cold:
"Are you done?"

The male bear chuckled dismissively:
"What's wrong? Are you going to stand up for this polar bear's disgrace?"

He strongly disagreed:

"A mother bear?"

This bear looks weird, it doesn't look like a polar bear at all... Guo Mi closed her eyes. There are really a lot of scoundrels among polar bears. She had reached her limit and finally couldn't take it anymore!
She suddenly opened her eyes, a fierce glint flashing in them, and roared at the male bear!
The roar of the bear king in the mountains can shake the entire mountain. Even in the jungle, Guo Mi is not some paper bear with an empty reputation. Now, we can also see polar bears living in the far north!

A flicker of panic crossed the male bear's eyes, and he instinctively took two steps back, only to find Guo Mi already right in front of him in the blink of an eye!
He only had time to tilt his head slightly before the bear's raised paw slammed down on his face!
Guo Mi adjusted the angle at will, and her sharp and hard claws pulled from the male bear's ear to its nose. Even the polar bear's thick fur could not stop it from being cut open, and three ferocious claw marks pierced through the male bear's entire face!

The intense pain on his face forced the male bear to take two steps back!
By the time he realized what was happening, blood was already dripping from the wound on his face onto the ground!

Guo Mi replicated the claw marks on Slok's body onto his face!

Slok, who was watching from the sidelines, was completely stunned. This was the first time he had ever seen Guo Mi fight. He felt a chill run down his spine and thought to himself that Caesar was indeed Caesar, as he could follow Guo Mi for so long without changing his expression!

The male bear's eyes glazed over, as if it had been stunned by the blow and hadn't yet reacted.

He stared blankly at Guo Mi until he saw her slowly raise her paw, look at him mockingly, and lick it.

A few bits of flesh still clung to the bear's sharp claws, and red blood flowed down the claws, creating a red halo around the white fur.

After putting down its paws, Guo Mi licked its lips and bared its teeth at the male bear opposite it.

This behavior is undoubtedly provocative.

The male bear's gaze moved up and down from Guo Mi's gleaming teeth, finally settling on her paws stained with its own blood.

After being beaten up like this by a female bear and provoked like this, the male bear was immediately enraged and roared as he pounced on Guo Mi!
This foolish appearance is far worse than Caesar's.

Guo Mi immediately lowered her body and rammed her head hard into the male bear's belly!
The male bear, which had raised its front paws and was only supporting itself on its hind legs, immediately lost its balance and fell backwards to the ground.

The male bear was a little flustered, but when he saw Guo Mi rushing towards him, he immediately calmed down.

That brainless mother bear, trying to just pin him down like that? Just because she's at least a third lighter?
The male bear's eyes were cunning, waiting for the moment when Guo Mi pounced on him to kick her over with his hind legs. A look of determination flashed across the bear's face, but the smug expression quickly froze!

Guo Mi bit his paw directly, shook her head and pulled hard!
A sharp pain instantly shot through his paws, and this time the male bear truly screamed in agony!
He could feel it; the mother bear must have bitten through his paws!
It's crazy!

Guo Mi listened to his heart-wrenching wails and felt a slight sneer in her heart:
They can't even stand it after getting this far. Caesar was bitten much harder than this, but he didn't utter a sound!

With such limited abilities, how dare he bully Caesar's brother? What gives him the audacity to mock Slok?
Fearing that Guo Mi would bite off his paws, the male bear rolled on the ground and kicked wildly with all four paws before barely managing to break free.

Now he was covered in blood, missing a claw, and standing on three legs, he looked down repeatedly to make sure his claw was still there before looking at Guo Mi with lingering fear.

Now, the contempt he had shown earlier was gone from his eyes; all that remained was fear. In the Arctic, he had never seen a female bear that dared to confront a male bear head-on, let alone such a fierce one!

Guo Mi didn't care about any of that; this was nothing at all.
She rushed forward and slapped him repeatedly with her paws!
The poor male bear didn't even have time to fight back before it was slapped at least four or five times with its big paws!

Unlike when she beat Caesar, Guo Mi didn't hold back when she hit him. Her claws were ruthless, slashing at his flesh. Her nails scratched the wounds she had just inflicted, almost tearing half of the bear's face off!
She was filming and yelling at the same time:

"Weren't you so arrogant? Why aren't you so cocky now?"

The male bear was completely disoriented from the beating, and the entire battle had now turned into a one-sided beating by Guo Mi. If he had any thought of fighting back just now, all he could think about was escaping for his life!
After a short while, the male bear couldn't take it anymore. The two bear cubs that had been chasing him were now running away in a panic, and he was the one running away in a panic!
Guo Mi was still not satisfied and bit his hind leg again!
The male polar bear, already covered in blood, was so frightened that it ran around frantically, and finally limped away in a panic!
Guo Mi watched until he disappeared before turning back to walk towards Slok. She was exhausted from hitting the bear with so much force, and she opened her mouth to breathe heavily.

Slok saw that there was still blood on her teeth as she walked towards him, and even though he knew that she was doing it for him, his heart still skipped a beat.

Caesar arrived hastily just as the farce was drawing to a close.

In fact, humans have observed encounters between polar bears and brown bears. However, in the more than one hundred recorded conflicts between polar bears and brown bears, the polar bears have always been the ones that lost and retreated.

However, the fact is that polar bears are superior to brown bears in terms of both physical fitness and weight, so people speculate that the reason for their defeat may be their will to fight.

Brown bears in the forest are omnivores and often engage in conflict. They are mostly bloodthirsty and fierce, and since they obtain most of their food by raiding, they are even more fond of fighting and dare to challenge any animal.

Polar bears are carnivores, so they have far fewer food sources than brown bears. Moreover, they have almost no natural predators in the Arctic and do not fight with other animals. In addition, due to their different lifestyles, they prefer to protect themselves.

In short, in terms of fighting, brown bears can be hostile to any animal, but polar bears' attack intentions are largely focused on their own kind.

Therefore, when polar bears and brown bears clash, it is usually the polar bears that back down first, because they want to avoid getting hurt.

In other words, if it weren't for Caesar's unusually assertive personality and other special factors, he might have been beaten down by Guo Mi.
