Chapter 151 Sound Sleep
When Slok and Gomi usually talked, Caesar would lie down beside them with his eyes closed, seemingly not very interested in their conversation. This was one of the few times he spoke.

Slok took a step or two closer to Caesar, craning his neck to scrutinize him, and asked fearlessly:

"why?"

He raised his paw and shook it, complaining:

"But the snow-capped mountains are too far away, why go through all that trouble to go back?"

Caesar abruptly stood up, his attitude unusually stern, and rebuked him:

"There's no room for negotiation. In short, you're not allowed to stay here!"

He even added a sentence:
"You're the same. Whether you come with us or not, you're not allowed to stay here!"

He was firm in his stance, staring coldly at Slok with an air of unquestionable authority.

Unlike how Slok had acted up and angered him before, Caesar rarely showed this expression. Whenever he did, Slok knew he had to obey.

He habitually yielded, lowering himself and carefully trying to please her:

"Okay, I understand. Don't be angry anymore. I'll be good."

Slok lay half-lying down, rubbed his head against Caesar's left front paw, and then tilted his body and lay on the ground.

Caesar stared at him coldly for a while before his stern demeanor softened slightly, but he still warned:

"Don't let me find out you're trying to be clever, understand?"

Slok readily agreed:

"I understand, I understand."

Caesar fell silent, turned and pushed aside the grass, his massive body gradually disappearing into the layers of grass, leaving only a few huge bear footprints in the thin snow.

Slok remained lying down until Caesar left, then rolled over and stood up.

She hid herself in the pit, nestled between the two bear cubs, and drifted off to sleep.

It wasn't until late at night that the male bear returned, its heavy paws landing in front of the three sleeping bears—one large and two small.

Caesar looked down at them from his high vantage point.

The salmon was held tightly in Guo Mi's arms. The fish skeleton crawled onto Guo Mi's body, its little head resting on her waist, and its four paws hanging down relaxed.

The two bear cubs could only watch helplessly as the large male bear lay down next to Guo Mi, shamelessly taking their place.
