Chapter 129 Reborn Parents, Please Bow to Me
"Brother, do you remember the way?" A rider walked up to Huo Qubing with difficulty and asked doubtfully.
"I know the way. I'm familiar with this place. I don't need to look at the map."
Huo Qubing's affirmative tone gave everyone a reassurance.
"It's too dangerous for two people to ride horses in such a strong snowstorm. Beauty, please get off and take my car." The rider said to Su Jiahe.
"Okay, thank you." Su Jiahe was helped off the horse by the rider and sat on the back seat of the motorcycle.
"drive!"
Huo Qubing pulled the reins and drove the horse forward, but the horse was usually kept in a pen. It was the first time it encountered windy and snowy weather in the wild, and it was so scared that it stood still and hesitated to move forward.
"Brother, why doesn't your horse move?" The rider's heart was in suspense again when he saw this.
Huo Qubing was not anxious, but gently stroked the horse's head, lay down, and whispered a few words in the horse's ear. The horse raised its head again and finally took the first step.
"drive!"
Following another resounding command from Huo Qubing, the horses galloped off in one direction, with four riders on motorcycles following closely behind.
The north wind grew stronger, carrying not only snow but also gravel from the grassland. Due to poor visibility, the riders couldn't wear masks and could only let the snow and gravel hit their faces, causing pain.
"Can we slow down a bit?" one rider shouted.
"No, what if the wind and snow get stronger? And the temperature is too low. Once we stop, the engine will freeze." Another companion responded behind him.
Su Jiahe was sitting on the motorcycle. Although he was wearing warm earmuffs, the strong wind still kept pouring into his ears.
The group galloped across the grassland in the snow. After about an hour, they finally saw faint lights in the distance.
"The hotel is just ahead, we are saved!" Huo Qubing turned around and shouted to everyone.
Several knights also saw the building ahead and stepped on the accelerator, rushing towards the light.
When they arrived at the hotel, Su Jiahe jumped out of the car first. When he was about to push the door, he found that it was locked.
"Open the door, open the door!" Su Jiahe used all his strength to knock on the door.
The hotel receptionist noticed someone outside the door and rushed over. However, as soon as she unlocked the door, it was blown open by the strong wind and hit Su Jiahe hard on the head.
"Ouch!" Su Jiahe subconsciously covered her head. If she hadn't been wearing a thick hat, she would have been hit hard.
"It's a snowstorm, why are you still outside?" The receptionist tried her best to control the flapping door and told several people to go in quickly.
"We also have a horse. Is there a stable here?" asked Huo Qubing.
"Why are there horses here? Are they from the herdsmen's family?"
"It was rented from the horse farm." Su Jiahe said.
"There's a small bungalow in the back where you can tie up the horses temporarily. Wait until the snowstorm passes and then you can contact the stables."
Huo Qubing first settled the horse before entering the hotel.
At this time, several riders and Su Jiahe were standing in the hotel lobby, shaking off the snow on their bodies and jumping around to keep themselves warm.
Su Jiahe felt that both of her feet had lost feeling. Every time she jumped, she felt a numb electric shock sensation on the soles of her feet, which spread along her calves to her whole body.
"I hope you are not frozen. Drink some hot water to drive away the cold." The lady at the front desk brought a few cups of hot water.
Su Jiahe gulped down a glass of water, and only then did she feel her frozen body revive a little, and her fingers began to move flexibly again. Just as she was about to pull out her phone to report her safety to the tour guide and driver, she discovered dozens of missed calls and unread messages.
"Hello, tour guide? Don't worry, we have arrived at the hotel safely and your horse is safe too. Can I return it to you after the snowstorm passes?" Su Jiahe quickly called the tour guide back.
"Are you all right?" The tour guide on the other end of the phone breathed a sigh of relief when he learned that Huo Qubing and Su Jiahe were both safe and sound. "Why didn't you answer the phone or reply to the message just now? I thought something happened to you and almost contacted the rescue team."
"We were on our way just now, we really didn't have time," Su Jiahe said apologetically. "It's good that you're alright, you scared me to death. Get some rest, I'll come find you tomorrow when the weather's better."
After the call, Su Jiahe booked two rooms and he and Huo Qubing went back to their rooms to rest.
Huo Qubing had just taken off his coat when he heard another knock on the door. He opened it and saw four riders outside.
"Brother, thank you so much for today. Without you, we might not be able to come back." A rider held Huo Qubing's hand tightly, tears of gratitude in his eyes.
"Brother, meeting you is truly the luck we've accumulated over eight lifetimes."
"Brother, you saved my life again. You are like a second parent to me. Please accept my respect."
As the riders spoke, they actually knelt down.
Su Jiahe heard the sound in the corridor, pushed the door open, and saw several people kneeling.
"Why has it come to this? Get up quickly." Huo Qubing bent down and hurriedly helped several people up one by one.
"Brother, come sit in our room." Several riders enthusiastically took Huo Qubing's hand and walked towards their room. Of course, Su Jiahe was also called over.
"What are your names?" Huo Qubing asked politely.
"I'm the oldest, they all call me Boss," one of them said to the rider who looked the oldest, with a ginger complexion and a beard.
"I'm the second one." Another tall and thin rider followed up.
"I'm the third child."
"I'm the fourth one."
After several people introduced themselves, Su Jiahe wanted to laugh, but held it back out of politeness.
This name is too random.
"Little brother, what's your name and how old are you?" asked the eldest brother.
"Your surname is Huo, and I am twenty-four this year."
"Oh, then you are younger than all of us." The eldest brother was a little surprised. He didn't expect that such a young person would have more outdoor experience than himself.
"Then I would like to call you all brothers," said Huo Qubing.
"Little brother, you are too polite. You saved our lives, so we should all call you Brother Huo." The eldest brother patted Huo Qubing on the shoulder.
"Come on, we don't have anything good to treat you, but we have some food. Just eat whatever you can." The second brother took out a bunch of snack packages and a few small bottles of white wine from his backpack.
"What kind of wine is this?" Huo Qubing looked at the wine that was as clear as water and felt it was particularly fresh.
"Good wine, try it."
When Huo Qubing opened the lid, he smelled an extremely strong and mellow aroma of wine. He couldn't help but take a sip, but he felt a burning pain in his mouth, as if on fire, and his face suddenly turned red.
"Don't drink so quickly, eat something." The second brother tore open the package of spicy duck feet and handed it to Huo Qubing.
Huo Qubing couldn't resist the temptation of the fragrant smell and took a bite, but he started coughing because of the chili and pepper.
"Why did you give Brother Huo such spicy food? Come on, have a drink." The boss quickly opened a can of juice.
The juice had been outside for too long and was very cold, which just offset the burning pain.
The few of them drank and chatted, and soon they were slightly tipsy.
"Brother Huo, it is fate that we met on the vast grassland." The eldest brother put his arm around Huo Qubing's shoulders and said with drunken eyes.
"Come, let's become sworn brothers."
