Chapter 809 Re-excerpt of the Calabash Brothers
Moon.
Yutiandi slowly opened his eyes.
A familiar mechanical face appeared before him; it was Optimus Prime, his once most prized disciple.
Beside Optimus Prime stood a group of Autobots, their expressions equally complex, perhaps reflecting both nostalgia for their former super-leader and the sorrow of reuniting in a foreign land.
"You're awake, Sentinel Prime." Optimus Prime's voice was deep and somber.
“I’ve been through a lot… It’s great to see you here,” Sentinel Prime said. “It seems you found the Leadership Module and saved me.”
Sentinel Prime, now in the zone, immediately stood up.
"We need to prepare immediately, the Decepticons are plotting something! Also, those energy pillars must be properly secured; the Decepticons stole them, and..."
Sentinel Prime spoke excitedly for a while, then stopped, turned around, and saw a group of Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, staring at him without moving.
"Why would the Decepticons deliberately leave behind so many energy pillars? And why did they leave your body here perfectly intact?"
It's no secret that the leadership module can revive the Autobots.
"We need to save our home planet, save Cybertron, Optimus Prime!" Sentinel Prime's aura suddenly shifted.
“That was definitely not at the cost of innocent lives, and…”
Optimus Prime wanted to have a proper debate with his former mentor, but then flames appeared in the distance. The Decepticons, spitting fire, charged over in a vast, almost innumerable number.
Sentinel Prime was shocked: "Optimus Prime...you, you're actually connected to the Decepticons too!"
But before he could explain his situation, Sentinel Prime was bombarded by swarms of artillery shells. His newly resurrected body was torn to pieces in the bombardment, and he eventually lost his breath and his flame was extinguished.
"Yawn~"
On Earth, Tan Wenjie sat in front of the military's monitor, watching the live footage of the war.
Why did Sentinel Prime tell the truth as soon as he was asked?
Was Sentinel Prime too confident, or too honest and never learned to lie?
Ultimately, Tan Wenjie could only conclude that the characters in this world were focused on special effects warfare and were almost all unwilling to tell lies.
It's still the moon, but this time the Autobots are nowhere to be seen.
The Decepticons gathered together.
The Black Mountain Demon looked at the enormous number of Tyrant Tigers. These were carefully selected elites, possessing fire power far exceeding that of machines, and each one was a valiant warrior who had experienced countless battles.
"We are about to embark on a new journey," said the Black Mountain Demon.
"Roar!" the Decepticons roared in unison.
"Earth is too weak, lacking powerful weapons and strong warriors!" The Black Mountain Demon raised his right arm. "Follow me to a brand new world to conquer! We are invincible before us!"
"Invincible! Invincible!" the Decepticons shouted excitedly.
If the Decepticons stayed on Earth, they would only be attacked by the Autobots and hunted down by humans, and they were born with the ability to be brave and fearless.
Instead of fighting for a meager piece of land on Earth, why not follow Tan Wenjie to the myriad worlds and conquer those technologically advanced realms?
The Decepticons readily agreed to the proposal. They craved war and slaughter; they had had enough of hiding on Earth. Every battle from now on had to be fought with real swords and spears, and they would ultimately die by their own blades.
An energy pillar was planted in the ground, and a black wormhole unfolded like a spiraling gate. The Decepticons swarmed in, eagerly anticipating a new journey.
When only the Black Mountain Demon remained on the scene, a figure appeared out of thin air beside him.
Tan Wenjie fiddled with the leadership module in his hand.
"What would happen to this world without the Decepticons?" the Black Mountain Demon asked.
“There will be something else.” Tan Wenjie casually tossed the leadership module to the Black Mountain Demon, then strode towards the pit ahead and gazed at Earth from within the lunar range.
Without oxygen or any equipment, he stood there quietly, as if he were standing in front of a desolate piece of land.
Just as he looked down at Earth, Earth finally detected his presence.
"What is something that requires no protective equipment, no oxygen, and can even stand in mid-air in space?"
While the Earth-based team was making urgent contact with the Autobots and trying to figure out how many dangers were still lurking in the universe, Tan Wenjie had already disappeared.
……
……
Amidst the mountains, an eerie aura permeated the air.
The purple miasma, like a veil, covered the mountain peaks.
On the edge of the churning sea of demons and the gathering of demonic clouds, there was a dilapidated Taoist temple.
Weeds grew rampant at the entrance, and the plaque above read "Chang Sheng Guan" (Temple of Longevity).
There were shouts and cries coming from inside the temple.
Whether viewed from afar or up close, it is difficult to discern the source of the sound. It sounds as if someone is performing a grand opera, or as if the mournful cries of a ghost temple deep in the mountains are waiting for the dead to come to them.
"Huh~"
The green weeds swayed gently in the wind, and a few sparrows flew low overhead, easily catching a few bright green grasshoppers with their beaks. The sparrows tried to take their harvest back to their nests to share their joy of a bountiful harvest.
A blue-spotted venomous snake suddenly opened its mouth and spewed out a cloud of poisonous mist. In an instant, the mist transformed into a large, venomous hand that rapidly rose upwards, grabbed the sparrow, and then yanked it downwards.
The next moment, the sparrows began to fall with a thud.
The blue-spotted venomous snake immediately went forward to enjoy its meal, managing to eat until it was half full. Just as the snake was still feeling unsatisfied...
A figure dressed in a Taoist robe appeared.
His face was like jade, his long hair was held in a hairpin at an angle, and he held a whisk in his hand. With each light step he took, the whisk floated behind him like smoke.
The blue-spotted venomous snake's eyes lit up with joy, and it opened its mouth again to spew out venomous mist. However, the large hand formed from the deadly poison flew toward the Taoist for a while before it seemed to have hit an invisible barrier and exploded with a "bang".
The young Taoist priest turned his head, and with just a glance, the blue-spotted venomous snake froze, unable to move.
Not only that, but all the passing or lurking monsters around froze in place. Some monsters with extremely low cultivation levels couldn't even control their fear and kowtowed directly in the direction of the Changsheng Temple.
"That's it?"
This person was Tan Wenjie.
He used the Seed of the Abyss, attempting to penetrate the abyss and see what these beings, who shared his ability to travel through time and space, were all about.
Unexpectedly, after using it, he replaced a Taoist priest who had sided with evil spirits, and there was also a chaotic voice in his mind.
"Hahaha, I don't care who you are or who you are. Once you're here, you won't be leaving!" The voice was extremely arrogant, as if he had Tan Wenjie completely under his thumb.
Tan Wenjie carefully sensed it for a moment and then knew what was going on.
This voice has no soul; it is merely a person's memory, a message left by the other party at the most crucial moment.
So the moment Tan Wenjie made contact, the other party stuffed all of his memories from the past eighty years into Tan Wenjie's mind and tried to create a new "self" in this way.
But after Tan Wenjie yawned, those foreign memories were easily torn apart.
Compared to his thousands of years of memories, this little bit of memory is of no use and cannot affect his perception of his own identity.
Unfortunately, it was crushed too finely, making it impossible to extract enough useful information from it.
With a flick of his wrist, a green-bladed sword appeared in his hand.
Ordinary magical artifacts, with their blunt blades, are unlikely to cause harm.
Suddenly, Tan Wenjie turned his head to look at the sky.
My gaze seemed to pierce through infinite distance and I saw something.
Fifty miles away, in a mountain cave, two demons were huddled together. In front of them was a broken stone mirror, which reflected the image of the Taoist in green.
The two demons saw everything the other party said and did.
"Why don't those lesser demons dare to move freely?"
The two monsters were increasingly puzzled and couldn't figure it out no matter what they did.
"Is it the Taoist in green robes?"
Only the Taoist priest in green stood calmly in the room, and the venomous snake had indeed been too afraid to move.
"Him? He's not..."
They noticed that in the broken stone mirror, Tan Wenjie suddenly turned and glanced at them. That glance seemed to completely transcend the distance of space; with just one glance, it was as if it could release electricity from afar, directly igniting and melting their bodies.
My heart was pounding wildly; just one glance from him could be so terrifying.
When they finally managed to tear their gaze away from the stone mirror, they were horrified to discover that their cultivation levels had plummeted.
"Should we look for..." The monster on the left began to speak, but before it could finish, its eyes widened suddenly, and it froze, as if it had seen a ghost.
"What are you looking for?" the monster on the right asked curiously.
"He, he... he's behind you!" the monster on the left shouted, as if it had lost its parents.
The monster on the right was startled and instinctively turned its head to look back. Sure enough, it saw the Taoist in green robes who had been dozens of miles away just moments before, only able to see the distance through the stone mirror.
"Toad spirits?" Tan Wenjie looked at the two monsters in front of him with a puzzled expression.
It's rare to see a toad spirit with a red cloth around its neck, especially a bat spirit that partners with it.
"Do you recognize me?" Tan Wenjie asked.
"No, I don't know him."
"No, no, no, I know him."
Tan Wenjie frowned: "Do we know each other, or do we not?"
"I know him!" "I don't know him!"
Different voices x2
Under Tan Wenjie's scrutinizing gaze, the toad spirit on the left finally spoke up, cautiously asking, "Are you... are you the Green-Clad Immortal?"
“The Green-Clad Immortal, that’s right, it’s me.” Tan Wenjie nodded.
In his fragmented memories, the Taoist in green was indeed called the Great Immortal in Green, but he was only mediocre and always worked for the monsters on the periphery, doing odd jobs.
"Great Immortal, spare my life!"
The two demons knelt down and kowtowed in unison, their heads slamming onto the ground with a thud, blood gushing out.
They often made things difficult for each other.
Tan Wenjie asked, "Have you ever heard of any gods, ghosts, monsters, or demons in this area?"
The toad spirit tentatively asked, "Several hundred years ago, a seven-colored gourd mountain fell from the sky and crushed the Green Snake King, who had nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine years of cultivation. Does that count?" (End of this chapter)
