Crusade against the Pope

Chapter 93 He shall live forever! He shall be king forever!
In a wooden house, dim sunlight shines into the house through the wooden windows, providing light to the house.

In the middle of the room stood a bed, on which lay a young Frank.

There were many people surrounding the bed, and they all looked worried. They were either praying in a low voice or talking to each other.

Whenever they saw the scar on Gillis's left hand, their expressions would reveal an unspeakable meaning.

It was not because they felt their faith was shattered when they saw Garys injured. On the contrary, the wound on his left hand had a special meaning.

What's more, their faith in Garys has long since evolved from initial miracle worship and admiration to becoming companions and followers on the road.

Over the past few months, Garys has repeatedly proven his identity through his own actions.

【Beware of false prophets, they come in sheep's clothing but are ravenous wolves at heart.】

[By their fruits you will recognize them. Can thorn bushes bear grapes, or thistles figs?]

[A good tree will bear good fruit, and a bad tree will bear bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. ]

[Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So you will recognize them by their fruits.]

This is the words from the seventh chapter of Matthew in the Bible, which tells future generations how to distinguish true and false prophets.

The existence of the prophet is not simply based on his extraordinary power. We must know that the Antichrist also possesses great power, and the devils can also fool mortals and make them fanatically believe.

Therefore, in the scriptures, the true standard for identifying a prophet is actually to observe his words and actions, and to determine his identity from his deeds.

Anyone who denies that Jesus is the Messiah must be a false prophet.

Anyone who opposes a true disciple of Christ must be a false prophet.

Anyone who claims to be a prophet but seeks personal gain is definitely a false prophet.

And how could someone like Garys, who always leads by example, has no selfish interests in his heart and only seeks justice, be a false prophet?
Garys's charity was not done with the help of "miracles" or witchcraft, but was real. He worked hard in front of everyone, using the knowledge given by God to save the sick.

And when Gailis took the spear on his own initiative and faced the cavalry charge together with the surrounding soldiers, Gailis's reputation among them had reached an unprecedented level.

Have those who only care about their positions ever experienced the experience of living and dying together with the soldiers? They can only shout at others to die, but cannot say the three words "Follow me".

As for the scar on Garys' left hand, it actually has a lot more to say than just breaking the story of his past.

Isabel sat by the bed, wiping the cold sweat from Gillis's forehead with a cloth.

Garys' body did not have a fever, but he did appear to be in considerable pain, so Isabel was always taking care of him.

As more and more people gathered in the room, Isabel saw that everyone who should have come was here, so she sat on the bed and glanced at everyone present.

"I know what you want to ask, and I also know the doubts in some of your hearts."

Isabel's voice was no longer childish, but had a rather cold tone.

"Indeed, some people may wonder, hasn't everything in the world sworn that it can't hurt Garys?"

“Christ Jesus, through His blood [which was shed for the forgiveness of sins], reconciled mankind to the Father, voluntarily suffered death on the cross, and through His death as the Passover sacrifice, He accomplished the redemption of mankind.”

"In fact, when Christ died, his soul was separated from his body, and Garys' soul was the true spirit contained in the body of Jesus Christ."

"When he died as the flesh of Christ, the holy nails were nailed to his palms and his ribs were pierced with the spear of Longinus. These were all predetermined things and were part of the Father's plan to save the world. "What has been will be again; what has been done will be done again."

"Gailis, as a true spirit, has returned from seclusion, and he is bound to carry traces from thousands of years ago. Just like the knife wound under his ribs, all of this is destined, and it is the proof that he is a [prophet] and [son of God], and it was left by Christ in the past to redeem the world."

"Is there anything else you want to ask?"

Listen to Isabel's clear, melodious words.

Among the crowd, Jos knelt on his knees without saying a word, raised his hands above his head, and prayed loudly.

"Lord, Father in heaven!"

"Your Son, the Prophet, has risen from the underworld to bring peace and light to mankind."

"He shall live forever! He shall reign forever!"

"Amen."

Jos praised and prayed loudly while constantly prostrating himself on the ground to worship God.

This exaggerated action didn't matter, but the loud words made Isabel reveal a little unhappy, and she whispered: "Be quiet, you're disturbing him."

In addition, not only Jose, but also old John with a scar on his face stood in the distance, made the sign of the cross, and began to chant in a low voice.

"Today the earth is silent, all is still, and desolate, for the King is asleep."

“The earth is silent and trembling, for God rests in His flesh, and it is He who awakens those who have slept for ages.”

"In Hades, He visits those who are in darkness and in the shadow of death, seeking Adam and Eve, the firstborn, as lost sheep. He rescues the captives from their torment."

“And he said to them, I am your God, and I became your offspring for your sake. Awake, you who sleep, for I did not create you to dwell in Sheol. Arise from the dead, for I am the life of the dead.”

Others also spoke, silently reciting while constantly making the sign of the cross: "He rose from the dead, conquered death by His death, and gave life to the dead."

Isabel looked at everyone present, discerning their posture and tone of voice when they prayed, trying to tell if there was Judas among them.

Among these people, she was most wary and suspicious of Joss, the most exaggerated, the most emotional, and the most decisive.

In Isabel's view, if other people wholeheartedly believed in Gérice's description of heaven, they were following Gérice's example and embarked on the Fourteen Stations of the Cross.

Then the behavior of several people represented by Joss seems to be pure speculation.

But there is no way. We are short of manpower now. I just hope that Jos or guys like Jos can be more sensible.

Perhaps everyone's prayers really worked. Isabel could feel that Gailis's face was gradually becoming calmer and he was no longer in so much pain.

Finally, he woke up, opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling.

This afternoon when I was typing, I poured boiling water and burned my left hand, so I was unable to successfully type in the afternoon. I started only in the evening. Today I only have two updates totaling 4,000 words.

This is the first update, and another chapter will be updated before twelve o'clock.
