No abstraction, no cultivation

Chapter 135 Preaching

Chapter 135 Preaching
"I don't see anything!" said the woodcutter, looking at the bowl of water.

"Fool! You are a mortal with flesh and blood, so you naturally cannot see it!" Buxu smiled slightly and said solemnly: "When the Buddha looks at a drop of water, he sees 48,000 insects!"

"There are so many insects in just one drop of water! How much more so in this bowl of water?"

"Ten thousand bugs? Billions of bugs?"

"If you release this bowl of water, you will gain immeasurable merits, which can help the mourning hall and you eliminate your karma!" Buxu said.

The woodcutter was shocked. He felt that what Buxu said made a lot of sense!

Releasing animals in this way will definitely help eliminate karma quickly and help my mother get better.

Buxu looked at him and continued, "In addition, when you release the animals, you must also recite the Great Compassion Mantra!"

"The Great Compassion Mantra? I don't know it!" said the woodcutter.

How could he recite any scriptures or mantras?

If he could read, he would have become a monk long ago. Why would he be a woodcutter?

"No! You can recite it!" Buxu shook his head and said, "You even recited it just now."

The woodcutter said, "I don't have any!"

Buxu looked at him and smiled, saying, "Fool! Didn't you say the three words 'Great Compassion Mantra'?"

"The scriptures and mantras are all external manifestations. As long as there is sincerity in your heart, even if you only recite the Great Compassion Mantra, it is equivalent to reciting the Great Compassion Mantra."

"And reciting the Great Compassion Mantra this way will make it faster! The effect will be better, the merits will be greater, and it will be easier to eliminate karma!"

The woodcutter was shocked again. In his thirty-four years of life, he had never seen anyone explain Buddhism so thoroughly and in a way that he could understand it.

"True Buddha!" He kowtowed to Buxu again, making a "dong" sound.

"Come, chant with me!" Buxu held the stone bowl of water and said, "The Great Compassion Mantra!"

"The Great Compassion Mantra!" the woodcutter also chanted along with him.

Buxu handed the stone bowl to the woodcutter and said, "I have already blessed this water and chanted a spell for it. You can use it to release the animals."

"Thank you, True Buddha! I don't know how to thank True Buddha!" The woodcutter knelt down with his hands raised above his head and took the bowl of water.

“Rescuing people from suffering and distress is our unshirkable duty. How can I thank you?” Buxu smiled and said, “Go and release them!”

"Thank you, True Buddha! Thank you, True Buddha!" The woodcutter held the stone bowl, said goodbye to Buxu, then came to a stream and poured the water in the stone bowl into the stream.

He didn't know if it was an illusion, but he felt a lot more relaxed.

So he went home immediately and told his old mother about it.

He was originally planning to get some medicine for his old mother, but since he had met the true Buddha, he must believe in the true Buddha.

When he returned to the wooden house in the mountains, he saw his old mother cooking for him in the kitchen.

"Mom! Are you okay?" the woodcutter said in surprise.

He hasn't seen his mother get out of bed for a long time since she fell ill.

"I thought you would be hungry when you come back from working outside, so I made you something to eat." The woodcutter's mother looked to be in her sixties or seventies, with a head full of white hair and a hunched back, but she was in good spirits.

"Mom, please go and have a rest over there! Let me do it!" When the woodcutter saw his mother busy, he hurried over to help.

"I've almost done it," said the woodcutter's mother.

What can people in the mountains eat?
But some batter and vegetable leaves or something like that.

"Mom, I met the real Buddha today! He told me about your illness..." The woodcutter went up to help his mother sit down, and then told her about his encounter with the Living Buddha.

"Good, good, good, my son is so lucky to have met the real Buddha!" The old mother was happy for her son. She said, "The meal is ready, you should eat quickly!"

"Oh! Okay!" The woodcutter filled two bowls of rice and gave one to his mother first.

"Today I followed the instructions of the True Buddha and released a bowl of water, and my mother recovered. I will go to the True Buddha later and pray for my mother to live a long life!" The woodcutter said happily while eating. He was really happy today.

"It would be better to find a wife for you!" The woodcutter's mother looked at her son with a smile.

She looked at it carefully, afraid that she would never see it again.

As she watched, she began to feel darkness before her eyes.

As she watched, she could no longer hear any movement around her.

As time went by, she could no longer see her son.

"Mom! Your health is more important..." The woodcutter was about to say something when he saw his mother suddenly fall down and was silent.

She was not cured, but was having a last burst of vitality.

"Mom!" The woodcutter was shocked and went forward to hug his skinny old mother.

No matter how he shouted, his mother couldn't hear him.

Life and death separate, and heaven and man are forever separated.

No, didn’t I eliminate your karma?
The woodcutter put his mother on the bed, then ran up the mountain like crazy, and saw Buxu still sitting there!

"True Buddha! True Buddha!" The woodcutter ran over and asked, "True Buddha! My mother is dead!"

Buxu's expression did not change at all, and he said, "Bodhi! My condolences!"

"I clearly followed the True Buddha's method to eliminate my mother's karma..." The woodcutter fell into doubt.

"That's because your mother and you have a lot of karma!" Buxu asked back, "You don't think that releasing a bowl of water can eliminate all your mother's karma, right?"

A bowl of water is equal to all their karma?

Even the woodcutter found it unrealistic.

"If you had met me earlier, I would have taught you the wonderful method of releasing animals earlier. Maybe your mother would be able to..." Buxu sighed and said, "It's all about timing and fate! You can't force it!"

It's fate! You can't force it!
The woodcutter collapsed on the ground, in a daze.

"Is my mother supposed to die?"

"No!" Buxu said, "It's just that people in this world have been committing sins all the time, and have countless karmas! So it's time and fate! If people in this world didn't have karmas, they would be happy and at peace!"

"I once made a great vow to eliminate the karma of the people in the world. Now I am alone, and I am really powerless!"

"If you are interested, you can follow me to develop the Merit Sect and eliminate the karma of the people of the world!"

"Can I... do it?" the woodcutter said, pointing at himself.

"You and I are destined to be together!" Buxu said, "Fate brings us together, and fate brings us together. That's all that matters!"

He had already seen that the woodcutter was a good candidate for Buddhist cultivation. Although he was old and his future achievements would be limited, he was just right for running errands.

You must know that there are some things that disciples can do but he cannot.

A great temple with a ten-meter-high Buddha statue also needs offerings from faithful men and women!
“I, I, I…” The woodcutter was still not confident in himself.

"People who are burdened with karma will go to hell after they die." Buxu repeated the Eighteen Hells, such as the Tongue-Pulling Hell, the Scissors Hell, the Steamer Hell, etc., which made the woodcutter's face turn pale.

Buxu looked at him and said, "You don't want your mother to suffer endless torture in hell, do you?"

"For my mother's sake, I'll try!" the woodcutter said gritting his teeth.

"Shan, you are such a filial son! Bodhi seed!" Buxu said with a smile.

The dead are also valuable!

The abstractness of releasing water is that it is not something I made up, but it is real. Compared with reality, I am still not abstract enough!
