Liu Yanchang suddenly woke up with a start, opened his eyes, sat up from the rattan chair, and turned his head to look in the direction from which the sound came.

Then a thin figure came into Liu Yanchang's view, and Liu Yanchang quickly stood up, "Xiaoyu?"

Liu Yanchang quickly looked around and behind Xiaoyu, but couldn't see Liu Chenxiang. "Xiaoyu, you're here? Where's Chenxiang?"

Xiaoyu smiled and then said, "Chenxiang hasn't come back."

"This kid is getting wilder and wilder. Why did you come alone?" Liu Yanchang said, quickly bringing a chair for Xiaoyu and bringing out fruit and snacks from the house. "There's no hot water. I'll go boil some."

Watching Liu Yanchang bustling around the room, Xiaoyu twitched her nose a few times, but she quickly forced herself to stop.

As Liu Yanchang handed Xiaoyu a steaming cup of tea, he sat down and asked, "How have you been these past few days? Where is Chenxiang? Why didn't he come back with you?"

Xiaoyu took a sip of tea, then looked at Liu Yanchang and said, "The agarwood has been left in Taoshan."

"Oh?" Liu Yanchang asked, somewhat surprised. "What happened?"

Xiaoyu said, "Chenxiang petitioned the Great Emperor of Shenxiao, saying that he would suppress his mother under Taoshan with her, and use his arduous cultivation to pray for his mother, so that she could get rid of her suffering and regain her freedom as soon as possible."

Liu Yanchang was stunned after hearing this. After a long while, he sighed and said, "Alas, this child is just as stubborn as his mother."

At this point, Liu Yanchang asked again, "So he won't come back anymore?"

Xiaoyu shook her head and said, "He's not coming back. The Divine Emperor granted his request and suppressed him at the foot of another mountain next to Taoshan."

"Oh," Liu Yanchang responded, then his gaze became somewhat vacant, but he soon came back to his senses and smiled, "That's good too, he can stay with his mother all the time."

At this moment, Liu Yanchang looked at Xiaoyu again and asked, "By the way, what did you call me when you came in?"

Upon hearing this, Xiaoyu immediately stood up, walked to Liu Yanchang, knelt down, kowtowed three times, and then called out, "Father."

Liu Yanchang suddenly stood up, first helping Xiaoyu to her feet, then asked, "You and Chenxiang?"

“I married him,” Xiaoyu said, “after he was suppressed.”

"This..." Liu Yanchang immediately realized that the story behind this was probably not as simple as Xiaoyu had described.

"Sigh!" Liu Yanchang looked at Xiaoyu and said, "Why are you doing this? Now that Chenxiang has been suppressed, you should go and live your own life."

"This is all of my own free will." Xiaoyu looked at Liu Chenxiang and said, "Father, Xiaoyu is already your daughter-in-law and is willing to serve you until the end of your life."

Liu Yanchang asked, "And what about your maternal grandmother?"

"What?!" Liu Yanchang exclaimed in shock. "How could this happen? Everything was fine, how could this be?"

Xiaoyu burst into tears, saying between sobs, "Grandma's lifespan has come to an end, and she passed away peacefully without illness. Because Chenxiang was trying to find a way to split the mountain to save his mother at the time, he didn't have time to inform you."

Liu Yanchang understood and quickly began to comfort Xiaoyu, "Oh, I never expected this. Don't cry, my good child. We are all unfortunate children. From now on, you are my daughter, Liu Yanchang's daughter. I will treat you as my own daughter."

Xiaoyu cried even more bitterly. He had been stripped of his immortal status at Aoyun Palace, but he hadn't cried at all on his way back here.

But faced with the warmth of family that Liu Yanchang brought, Xiaoyu could no longer hold back and vented all the sadness in her heart.

After an unknown amount of time, Xiaoyu finally stopped crying, wiped away her tears with a silk handkerchief, and got up to speak, but a sudden change occurred.

Suddenly, the sky outside became extremely bright, illuminating the entire world in a dazzling white light.

The town outside immediately erupted into chaos; all the noise ceased instantly, leaving only the sounds of panicked people.

"Xiaoyu," Liu Yanchang called out, "What happened? I can't see anything, everything is white."

Xiaoyu quickly followed the previous directions and helped Liu Yanchang up. Then she said, "Dad, close your eyes quickly. Do you remember where the house is? Quickly hide inside, or cover your eyes with your clothes."

"Okay, okay." Liu Yanchang quickly led Xiaoyu and groped their way into the inner room, but then the two hid inside and covered their eyes with their clothes.

But this had no effect whatsoever; even when they closed their eyes, hid indoors, and covered their eyes with all sorts of things, all they could see was a blinding white.

At the same time, in Lingtai Mountain, Patriarch Bodhi immediately said to his disciples, "You should quickly close your eyes."

The disciples immediately did as instructed, using their magic to seal their eyes, and sure enough, the world before them immediately turned dark.

The Bodhi Patriarch was completely unaffected by the white light, yet in his eyes, the entire Three Realms were illuminated by it. He gazed far to the west, where he saw figures intertwined and a thousand lights shimmering.

Sun Wukong arrived at the Cave of the Slanting Moon and Three Stars and said to Patriarch Bodhi, "Patriarch, something has happened at Mount Ling."

Bodhi Patriarch descended the steps and came before Sun Wukong, saying, "Huang Zhoujun was stripped of his position as the Great Emperor of the Western Peak and stripped of his power, so the fortune he bestowed upon Buddhism was also nullified. As a result, the defenses of the Kingdom of Tianzhu were breached, and the Brahma sect and the Buddha-demon Mara invaded the Kingdom of Tianzhu and are now attacking Mount Ling."

Sun Wukong asked, "Then what is the meaning of this white light that illuminates the Three Realms?"

The Bodhi Patriarch said, "This is Amitabha Buddha's 'immeasurable light, boundless light,' which is why it can illuminate the entire Three Realms."

Sun Wukong immediately understood. Amitabha Buddha is also known as 'Infinite Light Tathagata'. As the name suggests, he has twelve divine lights, namely: the light that penetrates the three worlds vertically, the light that pervades the ten directions horizontally, the light that embraces and receives refuge without hindrance, the light that extinguishes suffering and causes without opposition, the light that extinguishes the flaming king of wisdom and causes, the light that purifies greed and desire, the light that brings joy to anger and hatred, the light of wisdom to cure ignorance and delusion, the light that is constantly bright and uninterrupted, the light that is beyond thought and beyond the reach of mind and conditions, the light that is beyond words and speech, and the light that surpasses the sun and moon in radiance.

Sun Wukong looked towards Mount Ling and saw that millions of demons and Buddhist immortals surrounded the mountain, all of whom were illuminated by the divine light of Amitabha Buddha and could not escape.

Patriarch Bodhi said, “Mount Ling is besieged. As the ‘Bodhi Wondrous Sage Tathagata,’ and with my sacred site in the West, I must go to its rescue.”

Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong said, "I will go with my master."

Patriarch Bodhi stopped Sun Wukong, saying, "The Victorious Fighting Buddha's position is in the East. The Buddha Tathagata divided the Buddha into two great Buddhist courts, East and West, precisely for the sake of today's events. Since you are in the East, you must not interfere in the karma of the Western Buddhist sect, otherwise things will become unclear and difficult to explain in the future."

Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong immediately stopped thinking. He had absolutely no doubt about what Patriarch Bodhi had said.

So Sun Wukong nodded and said, "Then I will listen to what the Patriarch says. I will stay at Fangcun Mountain to look after the mountain gate for the Patriarch. Patriarch, please be careful on your journey to Ling Mountain."

Bodhi Patriarch nodded and smiled, then waved his whisk, rose into the sky on auspicious clouds, and disappeared into the horizon in an instant.

On Mount Ling, countless demons and Buddhist immortals were converted under the divine light of Amitabha Buddha, their physical bodies then perished and their souls returned to the underworld.

Even Brahma, Shiva, and Vishnu could not withstand the divine light of Amitabha Buddha, and their immense power was extinguished at an extremely rapid pace.

At this moment, Brahma unleashed the Vedas, and in an instant, billions of rays of Brahma light illuminated the three realms, rivaling the divine light of Amitabha Buddha.

At the same time, Vishnu also unleashed the Great Brahma Scroll, releasing countless rays of Brahma light to join Brahma in confronting Amitabha.

On the other side, Shiva threw out the 'Annihilation Trident' in his hand, and all twenty-three celestial bodhisattvas perished in an instant.

Shiva withdrew his Annihilation Trident, turned his head and suddenly his expression turned solemn. He saw that the Eight Great Vidyarajas Bodhisattvas were displaying their divine power and had already killed hundreds of Brahma sages.

Even the ant-leech immortal was killed by the Peacock King Bodhisattva. Upon seeing this, Shiva immediately threw out the Annihilation Trident again, and all eight Great King Bodhisattvas were terrified.

Once the Annihilation Trident was thrown, no one could escape it. Just then, a Buddha suddenly appeared in front of everyone and used his body to block the Annihilation Trident for them.

Upon seeing this, everyone exclaimed in surprise, "An ancient Buddha?"

This Buddha was none other than the ancient Buddha Dipankara, who appeared and blocked the Annihilation Trident. However, the destructive power released by the Annihilation Trident was extremely terrifying and was rapidly eroding the great power of the ancient Buddha Dipankara.

"Alas." A sigh appeared on the aged face of the Dipankara Buddha. "Truly, fate is like a knife."

As soon as he finished speaking, the boundless Buddhist power surrounding Dipankara Buddha was swiftly obliterated by the Annihilation Trident. The Annihilation Trident then pierced through Dipankara Buddha's body and continued its journey towards the Eight Great Vidyarajas.

But at that very moment, an old arm suddenly reached out and grabbed the Annihilation Trident.

At this moment, all the Buddhist deities around looked over and saw that the ancient Buddha Dipankara's body was dissipating, but he grabbed the Annihilation Trident and then smashed his own relic against it.

In an instant, the world lost its color. The relic of the ancient Buddha Dipankara shattered the moment it collided with the Trident of Annihilation, scattering countless rays of azure Buddhist light.

Then, the myriad rays of azure Buddhist light instantly enveloped the Annihilation Trident. The Buddhist light began to weave into a series of restrictions marked with '卍' symbols, and then landed on the Annihilation Trident.

With a 'whoosh', the Annihilation Trident began to struggle and surge violently, causing the surrounding void to tremble and tear apart.

However, as the restrictions were quickly extended, the power of the Annihilation Trident was rapidly sealed. Finally, its divine light dissipated, its power was lost, and it fell into the sky, landing on the land and transforming into a huge, towering mountain.

As for Dipankara Buddha, the moment his relics shattered and transformed into a seal, sealing the Trident of Annihilation, he completely entered an irreversible state of annihilation.

"Dipankara Buddha!!!"

At this very moment, all Buddhist disciples in the Three Realms sensed that Dipankara Buddha was entering Nirvana. Regardless of whether they were immortals or mortals, everyone knelt on the ground, clasped their hands together, and chanted the name of 'Dipankara Buddha'.

The physical body of the ancient Buddha Dipankara has already perished, but his primordial spirit stands in the void, smiling slightly, and says to all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, Vajras, and Bhikkhu disciples: "I was originally a Buddha of the past, who prophesied the salvation of Shakyamuni. Now that I have entered Nirvana, I will not embark on the future journey."

I am the ancient Dipankara Buddha, who once converted Shakyamuni Buddha. In the future, there will be no more Buddha position for me. Today, my lifespan has come to an end, so I will follow the way of heaven and enter Nirvana.

After he finished speaking, even the primordial spirit of Dipankara Buddha dissipated at that moment, which meant that there was no longer any Dipankara Buddha in the present world. He only existed in the 'past' and continued to exist in the form of the 'past Buddha'.

However, he did not perish completely; he merely dissipated as the primordial spirit of Dipankara Buddha. In the future, he will be reborn as a new being, but he will no longer have any connection with Dipankara Buddha, nor will he have any karmic ties with Buddhism.

This is fate. The Buddhist sect's fate in Xiniu Hezhou has run its course. Even the Great Enlightened Golden Immortal, Dipankara Buddha, couldn't withstand a single acquired treasure. (End of Chapter)
