I am a fairy in Journey to the West

Chapter 388 Lingshan Rebellion

The Asura tribe was originally led by the Peacock King. The reason why I say he was the leader is that the Buddhist sect was not confident in the Asura tribe, so they let the Peacock King keep an eye on them.

The Peacock King is the leader of the Eight Great Bodhisattvas, and his own power is enough to suppress the Asura King. Therefore, the Asura tribe has been extremely obedient over the years and has not transgressed at all.

But now the situation is different. The Peacock King, who was originally in charge of monitoring the Ashura Department, was captured by Zhuang Yan along with the other seven Kings of Wisdom and sent to the Heavenly Palace, where they became the guardian gods on the imperial desk in the Tongming Palace.

In order to fill this vacancy, Buddhism ordered Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva to temporarily take over the throne of the Peacock King and monitor the Asura tribe.

On this day, the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha was preaching to his disciples in the temple when he suddenly sensed a change in the energy of heaven and earth, and then he heard the Buddha's voice.

Looking at the disciples who were getting restless, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara said quickly, "Don't be alarmed. Keep your mind on the path, sit still in Bodhi, and don't be moved by external appearances."

After he finished speaking, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha snapped his fingers, and a beam of Buddha light fell down. All the disciples immediately became calm as water and sat steadily.

At this time, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha slowly stood up, flew out of the temple on auspicious clouds, and looked up at the sky.

Above the sky, Buddha's light was surging and demonic energy was surging. A golden sun of Buddha's light and a black sun of demonic light were in each side of the sky, fighting fiercely with each other.

At this moment, the earth suddenly shook, mountains collapsed and the ground cracked. Soon after, a auspicious cloud flew in front of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, and a wonderful shadow appeared.

When Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha took a closer look, he saw that the person was wearing the Qingxiao Qinglian fairy robe, and was blessed with wisdom and intelligence, beautiful and dignified. It was none other than the Lingshan Mountain Goddess, 'Blessings and Wisdom, Perfect Lingshan Holy Mother Bodhisattva, Great Compassion and Great Mercy, Qingxiao Yuanjun'.

The 'Lingshan Holy Mother Bodhisattva' in front is the fruit position conferred by Buddhism, while the 'Qingxiao Yuanjun' in the back is the fruit position conferred by the Heavenly Court.

Just because she is a Buddhist Bodhisattva who serves as the mountain god of Lingshan, she has the dual status of Buddhism and heaven.

When Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva saw the Holy Mother of Lingshan, he immediately put his palms together and bowed, saying, "Greetings to the Holy Mother."

The Holy Mother of Lingshan clasped her hands in greeting, and then said in a slightly hurried tone: "Is the Bodhisattva still sitting here? Zaoyun Mountain to the east of Lingshan has collapsed, and the barrier is broken on one side. The Asura King is leading 70,000 Asuras to that side, and they seem to be rushing out of Lingshan."

Upon hearing this, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's face changed drastically, and he hurriedly bowed to the Holy Mother of Lingshan and said, "Thank you, Yuanjun, for telling me."

After saying this, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha rode on the auspicious cloud and flew straight towards the Zaoyun Mountain in the east.

When they arrived at the top of Zaoyun Mountain, they found that the originally towering Zaoyun Mountain had completely collapsed, and the Buddha's light barrier on this side was also broken. At the barrier below, the Asura King Pozhi, led by tens of thousands of Asuras, was rushing out of the barrier.

Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara immediately flew forward, blocked Pochi’s way, and shouted, “Where are you going?”

Pochi had already seen Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, but he did not stop. Instead, he let the Asuras behind him continue to pass through the gap in the barrier and get out of the mountain.

At this moment, hearing the question from the Bodhisattva of Seal, Pochi said, "We, the Asuras, are born and die in Lingshan Mountain, like birds in a cage and fish in a well. Now I want to take them out of the mountain to see the vast free world."

Bodhisattva Samantabhadra said, "Asura King, you are attached to appearances. As long as the mind is free, there is no place that is not free."

"Bullshit." As the 70,000 Asuras rushed out of Lingshan, Luohou, who was at the end of the hall, flew forward and cursed at Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, then said to Pochi, "My king, since you want to surrender to Poxun, why not kill this thief bald man as a token of your surrender."

Hearing this, Po Zhi hesitated and said, "Isn't this a bad idea?"

Luohou said: "What's wrong with that?" After saying that, he summoned the "Ghost Ring Heavenly Demon Knife" and killed directly towards the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara.

"Evil creature!" Upon seeing this, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha shouted loudly, then made a Dharma seal with his hands, and the whole body was suddenly filled with brilliant Buddha light.

Naraka was holding the Ghost Ring Sky Demon Sword, which was filled with ghostly aura and raging demonic flames. But as soon as he approached Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, the ghost and demonic power of the Ghost Ring Sky Demon Sword was directly cleansed by the Buddha's light.

Afterwards, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha raised his hand and slapped it down. In a moment, a Buddha's palm fell, the sky shook violently, and the clouds disappeared in an instant.

Luohou groaned and fell heavily. Seeing this, Pochi shouted hurriedly, "Catch the great Shura."

A group of Asuras below swarmed up and caught the falling Rāhu, only to see Rāhu spit out a mouthful of blood and his energy was greatly weakened.

At this moment, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva struck down his palm again, and Pochi had no choice but to meet it himself. He bit his middle finger, threw a drop of blood into the air, and shouted: "Blood Slash!"

"Buzz" the drop of blood made a buzzing sound, and then turned into a beam of blood light and slashed out.

Afterwards, there was a loud bang, and the Buddha's palm was instantly cut by blood, and then shattered into nothingness.

Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha frowned, immediately raised his right hand and touched his forehead with his index finger.

In an instant, a round light appeared behind the head of the Bodhisattva Chu Gai Zhang. The round light illuminated all directions and released a ray of Buddha's light that shone towards Pozhi.

The Buddha's light instantly spread a thousand feet and hit Pochi at an extremely fast speed. The demonic power that belonged only to Asura in Pochi's body was instantly broken. Pochi was directly knocked down by the Buddha's light and hit a mountain. The mountain collapsed in an instant and buried Pochi underneath.

Countless Asuras rushed down, each using their strength to dig the earth and break the rocks, and rescued the pale-faced Pochi.

At this time, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva looked down from above and said to Pochi and the other Asuras, "You can go back now and I will forgive you for what happened."

Before Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara could finish his words, a voice suddenly came from the sky: "Don't be afraid, Asura King. I am here to help you."

Hearing this voice, Vasubandhu and all the Asuras, and even the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, all looked towards the direction where the voice came from.

I saw a divine wind breaking through the sky, and then a mighty and majestic god appeared in the divine wind.

The deity wore a golden helmet, golden armor, had a monkey face and a human body, and held a vajra in his hand, looking extremely powerful.

Pochi stood up quickly and shouted, "Is it Brother Hanuman?"

The divine man replied, "It's me."

Rahu pointed at the Bodhisattva and said, "Friend Hanuman, help us kill this thief bald man quickly, otherwise it will be difficult for us to leave."

After that, Luohou ignored his injuries and attacked again with the Ghost Ring Heavenly Demon Knife. The Bodhisattva immediately released the Buddha's light and knocked Luohou down again. Luohou vomited blood again, and his energy weakened by 30%.

But Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara still did not take his life, but said: "Evil creature, it is not too late to turn back now."

Suddenly, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha’s Daoxin gave a frantic warning, and at the same time, a terrifying force struck him from above.

Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha looked up hurriedly, and saw Hanuman holding a vajra above his head. With one strike of the vajra, the halo behind his head shattered and the Buddha's light was directly dispersed.

'boom'

With a dull and harsh sound, Hanuman smashed the head of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha with his vajra.

The physical body of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha shattered directly, and he died in an instant. A blood mist rose up, and only a relic was taken back by a ray of Buddha's light. Hanuman turned his head and saw that it was the Holy Mother of Lingshan who took the relic of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha.

When Hanuman saw the Holy Mother of Lingshan, he immediately raised the vajra and was about to hit her, but the Asura King Pochi stopped him and said, "No, stop it now."

Hanuman looked at Pochi in confusion, and Pochi said, "This is the mountain god of Lingshan, who has been conferred a title by the Heavenly Court and cannot be killed."

When Hanuman heard the word "heaven", he immediately thought of the oracle of the Trimurti and nodded immediately, saying, "You go directly to the Chixian Mountain in Bhumibol to find the owner of the Chixin Cave Heaven. I will cover your rear."

As he spoke, Hanuman raised his hand and threw an agate bottle over, saying, "This contains holy water from the Ganges, which can heal your injuries."

Pozhi took the agate bottle and asked in surprise, "What are you going there for?"

Hanuman said, "Go pick up someone. The Red Heart Cave is being besieged by some monsters. You should go and help the Lord of the Red Heart Cave to rescue him first, and then return to the Vedic Kingdom after picking up the person. This is the arrangement of the Buddha, the demon, Mara, and the Three Gods."

Hearing this, Pochi said nothing more, but opened the agate bottle and drank a sip of the holy water of the Ganges. Miraculously, after the holy water of the Ganges entered his stomach, his injuries were healed immediately.

After recovering from his injury, Pochi immediately said to Hanuman, "Okay, we will go there right away."

After that, Pochi returned to his tribe and threw the agate bottle to Luohou, "Drink it, it will heal your wounds. Let's go to Chixian Mountain."

Luohou took the agate bottle and looked at the Asuras who had already set off under Pochi's order, and asked hurriedly, "What are you going to Chixian Mountain for?"

Pozhi said, "We'll talk about it on the way. Hurry up and get going."

Upon hearing this, Rāhu had no choice but to drink the remaining half bottle of Ganges holy water in the agate bottle. Then, he and Pochi led 70,000 Asuras to head towards Pubang Prefecture.

The monkey god Hanuman was the rear guard of the Asura tribe. He had just flown less than three thousand miles when Lingji Bodhisattva, the Eighteen Arhats and a hundred Vajras caught up with him.

Hanuman remained unafraid and went forward alone to meet the enemy.

The eighteen arhats and one hundred vajra formed a battle formation and attacked, and Hanuman also attacked with the vajra in his hand.

For a moment, the Eighteen Arhats displayed their magical powers, dragons roared and tigers howled, the Buddha's light was magnificent, and magic weapons and strange arts illuminated the sky.

A hundred Vajras surrounded them from all directions, holding weapons in their hands, with unparalleled power and might.

Hanuman was covered in brilliant golden light, holding a sacred pestle and sweeping across the field, invincible. In the blink of an eye, he swept through a hundred Vajras, and in a moment half of them were killed or injured.

Then Hanuman attacked the Eighteen Arhats, and defeated them in just a few dozen rounds. All of the Eighteen Arhats were seriously injured and could not fight anymore.

Seeing that the situation was not good, Lingji Bodhisattva immediately took out the "Flying Dragon Staff" and attacked.

The flying dragon staff flew down and hit Hanuman heavily on the head. Hanuman staggered suddenly, then felt dizzy and staggered.

Bodhisattva Lingji was shocked. He was hit by his own flying dragon staff, but he was not hurt at all?

Soon Hanuman came to his senses, his eyes flashed with ferocity, and he immediately raised the Vajra to hit Lingji Bodhisattva.

Bodhisattva Lingji hurriedly threw the Flying Dragon Scepter again, only to see the Flying Dragon Scepter collide with the Vajra Pestle. There was a flash of blazing fire divine light, and the Flying Dragon Scepter was instantly knocked away by the Vajra Pestle, and the light dimmed.

But Hanuman was also slowed down by this. Lingji Bodhisattva knew that he was no match for this man, so he hurriedly recalled the Flying Dragon Staff, and then urged the auspicious clouds to roll up the Eighteen Arhats and the surviving Vajras, and turned into a ray of auspicious light and flew back to Lingshan.

Seeing this, Hanuman did not pursue them, but turned around and rushed in the direction where the Asuras were going away. After all, the order given to him by Brahma was to cover the evacuation of the Asuras, not to fight with the Buddhists.

Two days later, the Asuras entered the territory of Bhupan Prefecture. Only then did Hanuman say goodbye to Vajra and Rahu, and told them that after picking up the people at the Chixin Cave Heaven, they would go directly north, and that the Brahman gods would pick them up in the future.

So the two sides said goodbye in Pubang Prefecture. Pochi and Luohou led 70,000 Asuras with flags flying and clouds rolling, and quickly came to the Chixian Mountain. At a glance, they saw the Chixin Cave Heaven surrounded by thousands of monsters.

Pozhi immediately gave the order: "My men, follow me and charge forward to relieve the siege of Chixin Cave Heaven."

As soon as the words fell, 70,000 Asuras responded loudly. Then Pochi and Rāhu took the lead and led the Asuras to charge towards the main gate of the Red Heart Cave.

When Sun Wukong and Tiger Vanguard heard such a loud noise, they immediately flew up to the sky to check. When they saw the 70,000-strong Asura army rushing towards them with ghostly aura and demonic flames, they were all stunned.

But soon Sun Wukong flew forward and swept the Ruyi Jingu Bang in his hand, creating a line in the air in an instant.

The void in that boundary was boiling, tearing apart all tangible objects, annihilating all solid bodies, and forcibly blocking the advance of the 70,000 Asura army.

Pochi and Luohou hurriedly ordered them to stop. Although they were not afraid of the void boundary, the 70,000 tribesmen behind them were afraid!

After the Asura army stopped, Sun Wukong shouted: "Where did you come from, demons and monsters? Leave now and don't offend your great sage!"

The sky, which had been noisy just now, suddenly became silent, but was soon broken by Pozhi's shocked roar: "You bastard! Let us fight Sun Wukong?!!!" (End of this chapter)
