Divine Seal: I am the Demon God Emperor's beloved granddaughter

Chapter 12 Rescue, His Meaning is My Meaning

Chapter 12 Rescue, His Meaning is My Meaning

The second-tier magical beasts were easy for the two of them to deal with. Before it got completely dark, they had killed enough second-tier magical beasts, removed the crystal cores, and completed their first task.

"Now it's a third-tier magical beast."

For Long Haochen, a third-tier magical beast was a challenge, but in Bai Xi's eyes, it was a lot of money.

However, it was still quite dangerous to operate at night, so they temporarily left the swamp area and planned to stay in the forest for the night before taking action the next morning.

I had only been asleep for a short while when I heard the roars of monsters and someone shouting for help.

"Don't people even get to sleep at this hour?"

Bai Xi and Long Haochen opened their eyes at the same time, and Long Haochen's eyes already showed curiosity; he wanted to go and take a look.

Curious to know who had angered the monster in the middle of the night, Bai Xi nodded, and the two walked side by side in that direction.

As they got a little closer, the sound became clearer. Bai Xi grabbed Long Haochen's hand, and a golden-red glint flashed in her eyes.

The entire forest gave them a unique feeling.

Long Haochen was unaware of the changes that had occurred to them, but Bai Xi was aware of them.

At this moment, anyone who hasn't seen them in person would only think they are two ordinary birds, not strangers who have come close.

Finally, they reached the source of the sound and saw a snake-like magical beast chasing a boy who looked about their age and was wielding two swords.

The boy was already injured, and now he was poisoned by the snake-like magical beast. He was already too weak to bear the burden of the two swords.

The swords that once seemed so light to him were now a burden, yet he couldn't bear to part with them. He didn't know whether the swords or his life were more important.

"That looks like a third-tier magical beast?"

Bai Xi wasn't good at discerning these things, and asked somewhat uncertainly.

"Yes."

Long Haochen glanced at it and nodded firmly, "But this..."

"What a coincidence, it's you."

Before Long Haochen could finish speaking, Bai Xi had already excitedly rushed forward.

"But this is a peak third-tier magical beast!"

Long Haochen wanted to tell them that they were no match for the monster and shouldn't be reckless. However, Bai Xi had already drawn her sword and charged forward, so he had no choice but to follow her.

Two people working together is always better than one person working alone.

In short, he wouldn't leave his sister alone.

When Bai Xi rushed forward, the snake-like magical beast had already begun to coil around the boy's body.

Looking at the enormous snake, Bai Xi knew, even though she wasn't very knowledgeable about magical beasts, that if no one came to her aid tonight, the boy would only perish in the snake's belly, leaving no trace of his body.

"That's too late."

Bai Xi muttered something and then threw the heavy iron sword away.

Whenever there was no time to spare, or when she was overly angry, Bai Xi would let her sword strike first. The heavy swords that the knights always carried were transformed into hidden weapons by Bai Xi.

The greatsword was plunged into the giant snake's body, in a very cleverly placed position.

It blocked the giant snake's gaping maw from opening towards the boy, and it penetrated deep enough that the snake, in pain, loosened its grip on the boy and didn't bind him as tightly anymore.

Taking advantage of this moment, Bai Xi swung the whip from her waist toward the boy who had already adopted a death-defying expression, wrapped it around his body, and pulled him out of the snake's mouth.

The entire process took less than a second.

"I'm not dead?"

The boy opened his eyes tremblingly and saw the giant snake rushing towards him, its enormous size belying its incredible speed. At the same time, he saw a figure blocking his path.

The moon shines on her tonight, casting a soft and sacred glow upon her.

"Xixi, you're being too impulsive."

A boy's voice, seemingly scolding but actually full of doting, rang out, and a figure wielding two swords joined in.

The two looked to be around his age, so their strength couldn't be much greater.

Worried that they might not recognize the monsters' levels and be dragged down by him, the boy quickly raised his voice to remind them.

"This is a third-tier magical beast, it's very difficult to deal with, you should leave quickly."

He could have easily taken advantage of the giant snake being held back and left. But he couldn't overcome his conscience and couldn't bring himself to do something so ungrateful.

Even though he was really scared, his voice was trembling as he spoke.

He nearly died in the mouth of a snake, and it almost became a psychological trauma for him.

Long Haochen snapped out of his reverie and replied, "It's alright, we can handle it."

When they actually faced a peak third-tier magical beast, Long Haochen found it wasn't so difficult. Both of them had the Divine Defense Parry skill, which could be said to become stronger when facing a stronger opponent.

The brother and sister worked together and defeated the snake-like monster with a little effort.

Bai Xi glanced at the boy, whose eyes still held fear, and gently seduced him.

"It's just a third-tier magical beast. Pick up your sword, and we can take care of it together."

Her eyes seemed to hold a strange power that compelled the boy to pick up his sword and unleash his knightly skills, slashing at the giant snake with all his might.

After being struck by the sword, the boy suddenly felt a sense of relief throughout his body.

It is a great relief, a rebirth.

"However, we still do most of the work of killing this monster, so the crystal core is mine."

As Bai Xi spoke, she deftly dealt with the giant snake, dissected its crystal core, and stored it away.

The boy did not respond. When Bai Xi turned around, she saw that the boy had just finished taking things out of his pocket and was holding a small handful of second-tier magical beast cores.

His eyes were bright and sparkling, even brighter than a crystal core. He had a smile on his face, like a very well-behaved little puppy, and he looked at Bai Xi with his puppy eyes.

"I won't fight you for the crystal cores, and you can have all of these. Thank you for saving me."

"We don't lack these second-tier crystal cores, you should keep them for yourself."

Before Bai Xi could refuse, Long Haochen suddenly sensed something was wrong and refused.

Perhaps it was the intuition of a worried older brother, but Long Haochen felt that the boy in front of him was there to steal his sister's beautiful and delicate appearance.

Just imagining this is enough to drive any brother-obsessed person crazy.

Long Haochen, who is usually known for his gentle and good temper, has recently become quite irritable.

The boy ignored Long Haochen, took two steps toward Bai Xi while holding the crystal core, and looked at Bai Xi pitifully with his innocent big eyes.

"Is it because this crystal core is bad? I can find a better one. I just want to repay my sister for saving my life."

For no apparent reason, Long Haochen felt even angrier.

"His meaning is my meaning. You don't need these; keep them for yourself. I've already received your thanks."

Faced with two aggrieved children, Bai Xi naturally chose to comfort her own child first.

The phrase "His meaning is my meaning" immediately made Long Haochen happy, and he thought to himself that he would use this phrase in the future.
