In an instant, Jiang Yuning was stunned by Fu Xicheng's words. She stood there, frozen, for a long time before she could react.

"Fu Xicheng, you can't just say things like that."

Fu Xicheng knew perfectly well that when he couldn't find Jiang Yuning, it was Lu Zhiqian who called to tell him that she was on the first floor.

Fu Xicheng didn't intend to explain, fearing that if he did, Jiang Yuning would definitely turn around and leave.

Under these circumstances, it's not the right time to let Jiang Yuning know.

He simply said, "Every evening after dinner, I'll take a walk with you for a while, so you'll still have the strength to hit me later."

Jiang Yuning tilted her head slightly and looked at him intently. "Fu Xicheng, were you angry with me just now?"

He held up an umbrella and chatted with Jiang Yuning as they walked.
