Chapter 6 Breach of Contract, Plagiarism

In the quiet room, the phone suddenly vibrated, immediately pulling Fu Xicheng back to his memories.

Fu Xicheng glanced at the message, replied, and then went to the bathroom.

As night fell, Jiang Yuning gazed at the scenery outside the window, pondering the events of the evening. She felt something was amiss, but couldn't quite put her finger on it.

She had a hunch that Fu Xicheng's appearance might not be a coincidence.

Jiang Yuning's heart calmed down completely. She recalled the scene of her first meeting with Fu Xicheng. She began to speculate on every word Fu Xicheng said. She thought about it for a long time, but she couldn't figure it out.

Suddenly, her phone vibrated, displaying an unfamiliar number on the screen. Seeing that it was a local number, Jiang Yuning didn't hang up immediately but answered it directly.

"Jiang Yuning, do you think you can easily get rid of me by blocking my phone number? I will make you pay for everything you've done to me today." Gu Yan's cold voice came from the other end of the phone.

Jiang Yuning gripped her phone tightly, her voice calm and resolute, "Gu Yan, I knew you would do this. Better safe than sorry, you'll get yourself into trouble sooner or later."

After Jiang Yuning finished speaking, she hung up the phone and blocked the number the next second.

The next morning, Jiang Yuning received a WeChat message from Fu Xicheng.

Fu Xicheng: [Ms. Jiang, I'm so sorry I bumped into your car last night. Could you please send me your home location so I can send you a car?]

Jiang Yuning dislikes trouble and prefers to handle things herself rather than bother others.

Jiang Yuning: [Mr. Fu, there's no need for that. I can take a taxi to the company myself.]

Fu Xicheng replied almost instantly, initiating a transfer for taxi fare.

Jiang Yuning felt helpless; she didn't know how to describe Fu Xicheng.

To end the chat quickly, Jiang Yuning accepted the money and sent a thank you emoji.

As soon as Jiang Yuning arrived at the company, Meng Shuyu quietly approached her and said with a smile, "Yuning, how lucky you are! You can even find a big windfall just by bumping into a car."

Jiang Yuning put down her bag, took out her phone, and noticed that her colleagues around her were all doing their own thing and not looking in her direction.

She hooked her arm around Meng Shuyu's neck, bringing her closer to her.

"Shuyu, why don't you go crash a car tonight?"

Meng Shuyu chuckled, "If my brother catches me and takes me to a bar, he'll be responsible for picking me up and dropping me off at work. I'll never have any freedom again. So, I have to go home on time after get off work these days."

Jiang Yuning smiled, and to be honest, she envied Meng Shuyu for having an older brother. Her brother doted on her, spoiled her, and loved her. Seeing this, she even wanted her parents to have another child for her.

At this moment, Qin Susu walked in. She glanced around and soon a follower came to her side and began to flatter her.

"Susu, you look beautiful today. I saw that bag you're carrying on the official website; it's worth five figures."

"Chuchu, I wanted to keep a low profile, but you saw right through me."

Qin Susu walked up to Jiang Yuning's desk, showing off her newly done manicure, and said, "Jiang Yuning, you still have the mood to sit here chatting? You've been complained about by a customer, don't you know that?" Jiang Yuning frowned. A customer complained about?
She thought it was unlikely, as her customers had always given her high ratings and the probability of her being complained about was very low.

"Qin Susu, I haven't even received any customer complaints, how did you find out in advance? Do you have superpowers?"

Qin Susu's jealousy of Jiang Yuning has been a long-standing issue; everyone in the office knows that the two have never gotten along.

Upon hearing Jiang Yuning's question, Qin Susu said without exaggeration, "I overheard this while passing by the director's office. There are problems with the project you're working on with the Xie Group. Your design drawings involve plagiarism of Louis's work. What else do you have to say?"

Jiang Yuning frowned, her eyes instantly turning sharp. "Don't jump to conclusions without evidence, Qin Susu. Some things you say can have legal consequences."

Qin Susu didn't care. It was just a sentence. Could Jiang Yuning really take her to court?
She absolutely did not believe that Jiang Yuning could do such a thing.

Qin Susu didn't take it seriously, her tone tinged with sarcasm, "You've even learned to plagiarize the works of design masters, and you won't allow others to say anything? It's absolutely hilarious."

Jiang Yuning stood up and said firmly, "I did not plagiarize. Qin Susu, you just can't stand that I'm more talented than you, right? Don't pin everything on me."

Qin Susu scoffed, giving a cold laugh, "Jiang Yuning, we'll see."

Jiang Yuning took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.

A few minutes later, the design director appeared at the office door.

The design director glanced around and saw everyone working hard. He didn't come in, but instead said directly, "Xiao Jiang, come to my office."

Jiang Yuning followed the design department director to the office.

The design director closed his office door and got straight to the point: "Xiao Jiang, the design director of Xie's Group sent an email saying that your design work is highly similar to Louis's. Take a look at these two design drafts; they do have some similarities."

Jiang Yuning took the two design drafts and carefully compared them.

She quickly pointed out a key point: "Director, how are they similar? The only similarity between these two bracelets is that they both have a rose, but the rose on my bracelet is clearly different from her design. Anyone with eyes can see that."

"But after seeing Louis's design, the client decided not to use your design. Xiao Jiang, this is a tricky matter. I suspect the president already knows about it."

Jiang Yuning then pointed out a key point: "We have finalized the design with the client, and the client is very satisfied with the design. Moreover, both parties have signed a contract. Do they want to break the contract?"

The design director said, "They do have this idea."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Yuning stood up immediately. "Director, since the problem lies with me, I have a responsibility to resolve it. I would like to go to the client's company to understand the specific situation."

"That's good. You've always been in charge of the Xie Group. Go there personally and try to resolve this matter."

Jiang Yuning nodded in agreement. She left the director's office, went back to her own office to get the relevant documents, and then took a taxi to the client's company.

Before setting off, Jiang Yuning made an appointment with the client in advance. When she arrived at Xie's Group, the receptionist led her to a conference room.

The meeting room was unusually quiet. Jiang Yuning carefully sorted out her thoughts, mentally reviewing many things.
