Hearing Fu Xicheng's almost coquettish words, Jiang Yuning couldn't help but feel a pang of tenderness in her heart.

She leaned down slightly and, across the dining table, gently placed a light kiss on Fu Xicheng's lips.

"Fu Xicheng, hurry up and eat."

Fu Xicheng was not satisfied with this brief intimacy. The moment he looked up, the smile in his eyes disappeared. "Ningning, your kiss was so perfunctory."

Jiang Yuning thought to herself, "Giving him a kiss is already a lot. How much more does he want?"

Suddenly, as if struck by a flash of inspiration, Jiang Yuning burst out laughing.

"Fu Xicheng, after you finish eating, I'll kiss your entire cheek, how about that?"

A hint of a smile flashed in Fu Xicheng's eyes. "Alright, I hope you won't go back on your word."

Jiang Yuning said firmly, "I won't go back on my word. I'm afraid you will."

Fu Xicheng suddenly had a hunch that Jiang Yuning was up to something again.

However, he was injured and believed she wouldn't do anything outrageous.

The table was laden with food, and the two of them ate quietly, the only sounds being the soft chewing of each other and the occasional clinking of cutlery.

Not long after, Jiang Yuning wiped her mouth with a tissue and then slowly stood up.

"Fu Xicheng, go straight to your room upstairs after you finish eating. I'll be waiting for you there."

As Fu Xicheng watched Jiang Yuning gracefully depart, he was filled with doubts, unable to guess what she was up to.

Jiang Yuning returned to her room, rummaged through her makeup bag and found a bright red lipstick. She carefully applied it in front of the makeup mirror.

As she moved, she became increasingly vivid and alluring in the mirror, the vibrant red color adding a touch of charming maturity to her.

After applying her lipstick, Jiang Yuning nodded in satisfaction and sat quietly on the bed waiting for Fu Xicheng's arrival.

When Fu Xicheng entered the room, he found Jiang Yuning sitting leisurely on the bed, swinging her legs.

As he gazed at her face, he looked at her a few more times with surprise.

Jiang Yuning strode excitedly toward Fu Xicheng, her eyes sparkling with a bright smile. "Fu Xicheng, you're finally here! Do you think the color of this lipstick I'm wearing looks good?"

Fu Xicheng seemed to have never seen Jiang Yuning wear this color of lipstick before. His eyes revealed his appreciation. "It's very beautiful, and it really complements your skin tone."

Jiang Yuning planted a kiss on Fu Xicheng's cheek and laughed happily, "You said something I like to hear, this is my reward for you."

Fu Xicheng looked confused; he had a feeling that Jiang Yuning was up to no good.

But he couldn't see anything wrong with her.

Jiang Yuning's eyes sparkled as she climbed onto his shoulders and kissed Fu Xicheng several times.

Fu Xicheng was somewhat dazed by Jiang Yuning's actions, and his mind went blank.

He asked, puzzled, "Ningning, why are you so happy?"

"Because you bought me my favorite cream puffs, which were so sweet they warmed my heart."

Her words seemed to have triggered something in Fu Xicheng's heart. He nodded and said, "Since you like to eat it, I'll buy it for you every now and then."

Jiang Yuning couldn't help but chuckle, "Okay."

Her lips met Fu Xicheng's lips again, and the long, affectionate kiss lasted for more than ten seconds.

She sat on the bed and smiled at him, saying, "Fu Xicheng, you're so good."

Fu Xicheng frowned. Jiang Yuning's behavior today was too abnormal, and he found that he couldn't figure her out.

What exactly does she want to do?
"Ningning, if we're talking about being well-behaved, you're the best. To be honest, I'm a little confused about you." Jiang Yuning looked at him affectionately, having learned some sweet talk from Fu Xicheng. "Don't worry about it, because you're in my heart."

She rarely wears lipstick, and when she does, it's always a very light color.

Jiang Yuning felt a little uncomfortable, so she decided to go to the bathroom to wipe off her lipstick.

"Fu Xicheng, I'm going to the bathroom."

Jiang Yuning went to the bathroom. Just as she closed the bathroom door, the housekeeper knocked on the bedroom door.

Fu Xicheng stood up and walked out of the room.

The butler was shocked. His finger trembled as he pointed at Fu Xicheng's face, and he stammered for a long time without being able to say a word.

Fu Xicheng's gaze was deep and unfathomable. The butler's eyes were too subtle; what exactly was he trying to express?

"What do you want to say?"

The butler's old face turned bright red. He choked on his own saliva and, seeing that Fu Xicheng was about to go downstairs, he hurriedly grabbed his arm.

He looked surprised and embarrassed, and stammered, "Sir... your face... you can't go downstairs, Miss Jiang has gone too far."

Jiang Yuning knew she had made a huge mistake. If outsiders saw Fu Xicheng like this, it would become the talk of the town, and they would laugh at her to death.

She quickly called out his name, "Fu Xicheng, I was wrong."

Fu Xicheng turned around, slightly puzzled, "Why are you suddenly apologizing to me?"

Jiang Yuning guiltily avoided his gaze and said embarrassedly, "I left my lip prints all over your face."

Fu Xicheng: "..."

He was silent for a few seconds, then strode into the bedroom and went straight into the bathroom. Looking at himself in the mirror, Fu Xicheng was amused by her.

No wonder the butler couldn't speak when he saw that face; now he knew the reason.

He thought Jiang Yuning's kiss was a sign of her love for him, but now it seems she's just teasing him.

Jiang Yuning stood hesitantly at the bathroom door, only peeking half her head in. She dared not go any further, fearing that Fu Xicheng would blame her.

She hesitated for a long time before asking, "Fu Xicheng, are you still angry with me?"

Fu Xicheng's eyes remained calm as he looked at Jiang Yuning with an unfathomable gaze. "Ningning, you're not yourself if you're not naughty for a day. You're ruthless enough to come up with this trick."

Jiang Yuning slowly approached Fu Xicheng, and she cautiously tugged at the hem of his clothes.

"Fu Xicheng, I have realized my mistake, please forgive me."

"I promise I will never dare to misbehave towards you again."

Fu Xicheng didn't believe her nonsense; if it happened once, it could very well happen again.

He tried to wash the lipstick stains off his face with water, but found it a bit difficult.

Jiang Yuning found some wet wipes and carefully wiped Fu Xicheng's face until all the lipstick marks were gone. She then let out a long sigh of relief.
