Chapter 126: They're even now

Gu Xinghe seemed to have anticipated this encounter, but when she actually met Meng Shuyu, she couldn't help but feel nervous.

She took a deep breath, trying to appear calm and composed.

"Shuyu, you haven't left the hot pot restaurant yet?"

Meng Shuyu stood on the steps, staring straight at her. It was this face that had completely deceived her.

She vaguely sensed Gu Xinghe's nervousness and broke the silence, "I just chatted with Yu Ning for a while and was about to go back. What about you? Why did you suddenly come back?"

"Mr. Fu, could you allow me and Yu Ning to speak alone for a few minutes?"

Fu Xicheng raised his eyelids, his eyes revealing a detached indifference and a coldness that kept people at a distance. "No, I'm worried you'll bully my Ningning."

Gu Xinghe's mouth was slightly open, her eyes glazed over. Jiang Yuning must have cried and complained to her boyfriend about something, otherwise he wouldn't have said such things to her.

“Mr. Fu, you’ve misunderstood me. I just wanted to explain what happened that day to Yu Ning.”
