Chapter 225 Now that you have seen the future, why not worship?

Tens of thousands of years ago, a new faction split from the Tantric Buddhism's [Time Sect]. Different from the original sect's philosophy of "the past, present, and future are all predetermined" and "being outside of time, not participating in worldly disputes, and just recording time," the Future Sect believes that the future of every person and every existence has infinite possibilities, and people must participate in their own destiny to strive for the best result.

In the scriptures of the Future Sect, the Future Buddha is seated on a thunder and lightning lotus throne high above the nine heavens. He has a beautiful face unlike other Buddhas, who are not bloated. He holds a green fairy flower in his hand and points out the future direction for all living beings with a wave of his hand. He chants the Buddhist sound of the Great Dao all the time, resolving the doubts of all living beings and preaching to them.

And the so-called result of striving for the best destiny is to throw yourself into the arms of the future Buddha and listen to the Buddha's voice day and night.

In fact, at the beginning, the status of the Future Sect was not as good as any other Tantric sect, because the Buddhas and gods believed in by other Tantric sects were basically created from existing eminent monks who either ascended to heaven or passed away, and they would also bestow Buddha's blessings while accepting their beliefs.

The existence of the Future Buddha was entirely imagined by the monks of the Future Sect. It was a reflection of a beautiful vision and there was no prototype or entity. Even if the monks were devout, they would not be able to get any response.

However, the first leader of the Future Sect used some unknown secret method, but he actually used the power of vows generated by the monks of the Future Sect chanting scriptures day and night to condense a body of a "Future Buddha" with an extremely high status!
Although the "future Buddha" at that time was just a body without mind and possessing only instincts, the monks all believed that as long as they continued to pray devoutly, the real and complete future Buddha would one day appear in this world.

The good times did not last long, as the matter of "sculpting the Buddha" was still spread, violating the bottom line of the major Tantric sects. No, to be precise, it was not the matter of "sculpting the Buddha" that violated the bottom line of the Tantric sects, but the matter of "successfully sculpting the Buddha" that violated the bottom line.

They also sealed the body of the future Buddha and studied it day and night.

Wherever that light reached, the fire of greed, anger, and ignorance was extinguished, and the eighty-four thousand afflictions were transformed into pure nectar. The Future Bodhisattva said: All sentient beings have the wisdom and virtues of the Tathagata, but their defilements are only due to delusion and attachment."

As the monks' chanting became louder, the green lotus trapped by the chains suddenly trembled, and bursts of Sanskrit sounds emanated from it, as if to cater to or guide the monks, leading them to get in tune little by little.

The trembling amplitude of the green lotus became larger and larger, and the terrifying vibration instantly spread to the entire secret realm. The people who were still fighting for the opportunity treasure were horrified to find that this secret realm seemed to have signs of collapse. Until there was an explosion, a green light passed by, and the entire secret realm returned to tranquility, as if nothing had happened.

Inside the human hall, the monks opened their mouths slightly, looking at the green lotus that grew out of the ground out of thin air with a bit of horror, a bit of disbelief, and a bit of piety.

The blue lotus was surrounded by thunder, as if it had grown out of a pond of lightning. A being with cracks all over its body, like a clay sculpture, sat quietly on the lotus platform. Its crude face, which looked like it was painted with colored ink, showed neither sadness nor joy.

Gentle yet profound Sanskrit sounds continuously emanated from the being's body and entered the monks' ears. All the monks who heard the Sanskrit had a look of great enlightenment, and were either sitting in a daze or mumbling in their sleep.

Only Wei Jing and the young novice monk who had not yet received the ordination scar remained true to themselves.

Wei Jing kept chanting scriptures to fight against the Sanskrit sounds that kept drilling into his mind and to keep himself awake. At the same time, he looked at the little monk who was unconscious and even a little confused on the other side and touched his head.

I was right. This junior fellow disciple really has the demeanor of a Buddhist.

Time passed little by little, and the Sanskrit sounds gradually weakened. Wei Jing then stopped chanting, but the monks around him still hadn't recovered from the shock.

Wei Jing sighed.

Strictly speaking, these people are not monks of the Future Sect. Most of them do not believe in the teachings of the Future Sect in their hearts. They are just attracted together by their own personal charm. Therefore, they do not hold much hope of success this time.

But now that it has been successful, the next thing to do is to think about how to take the body of the future Buddha out.

Looking at the cracks on the Future Buddha's body, Wei Jing's eyes flashed with a trace of heartache. After a moment, he stretched out his hand to the Future Buddha and whispered, "I'm sorry."

According to the scriptures, the present future Buddha has no will, and is more like a fairy weapon than a god, so he can be put into a ring.

Wei Jing took out the storage ring that he had used to avoid the inspection of the Taoist Alliance, and was about to put the body of the future Buddha into it, but the next moment something strange happened!
Under Wei Jing's horrified gaze, the cracks all over the body of the Future Buddha instantly expanded, and then shattered in an instant!

But it was different from the fall imagined - under the shattered body, a new existence appeared!
Before Wei Jing could react, the being opened its mouth and a cold voice came slowly:

"Since you can see the future, why don't you worship?"
