Chapter 673 Caul: Yebi
Chapter 673 Caul: Yebi
Rumors of murder on the planet are quite widespread, as if the Astartes and giant spider monsters who died here ten thousand years ago are wailing on this planet, venting their anger and resentment.
Caul's massive body unfurled from beneath his scarlet robe, instantly filling the entire room. His mechanical arms, tentacles, and chainsaw began to modify and repair the laboratory abandoned by Fabius Bayer. In just over ten minutes, the laboratory was restored to a usable state.
More than a dozen mini Doraemons emerged from under Kaul's robe and helped him move a twisted, deformed corpse onto the experimental table in front of him.
Thor was somewhat astonished by what he saw. The members of the Mechanicus had been quite active lately, and Fugen had been investigating the Primarch and Fabius Beyer's trail, having interacted and exchanged ideas with many of the Mechanicus members.
Most members of the Mechanicus wished they could build a shrine to enshrine Mini-Dora. Thor had even witnessed a high sage of the Mechanicus kneel before a Mini-Dora, wailing and pleading with Ohm Messiah, Lord Suneo, to grant him inspiration.
Furthermore, these mechanical guild members at most have three or five mini-Doras by their side, and having seven or eight would be considered divine favor. But Kaur Kaur could casually shake his robe and a dozen or twenty mini-Doras would appear, and these mini-Doras were merely his assistants.
Thor was surprised by Kohl's uniqueness, but even more surprised by Doraemon's power.
Each Mini-Doraemon is an extension of Doraemon, capable of inspiring creativity, producing gadgets, soothing and controlling machine spirits, and even summoning divine intervention. The more Mini-Doraes there are in the real world, the stronger Doraemon's influence on reality.
"It seems those members of the Mechanical Order aren't really favored; the effort Saint Doraemon put into them is negligible," Fugen said softly.
But even that seemingly insignificant gift spurred the development of many stagnant technologies, revived lost techniques, and unleashed new power in ancient weapons, exerting a profound influence on the empire.
Putting aside other factors, within the Imperial Ministry of the Interior alone, the introduction of new technologies and artificial intelligence has reduced the sudden death rate by 222 percentage points, and increased the ten-year survival rate by 222 percentage points.
The only minor issue is that many AI programs, after working in the Ministry of the Interior for a period of time, especially after processing documents and archives written on parchment from the Empire's millennia-long history, have generally developed psychological problems such as depression, paranoia, and apathy.
To address this, members of the Mechanical Guild created a special AI psychologist to treat psychological problems caused by artificial intelligence.
However, many AI psychologists have developed psychological problems after treating a large number of AIs within the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It's rumored that recently, many members of the Mechanical Regiment have been researching mechanical psychology, attempting to create an AI capable of treating the psychological problems of AI psychologists.
Under the immense power of Doraemon, the Mechanicus can now squander their inspiration like this.
But now it seems that producing this effect only consumed a small amount of that person's power.
Saul watched as Belisarius Caul began cutting into the deformed corpse with a chainsaw.
The corpse's face was also distorted, but Thor could still vaguely make out the face hidden beneath the white hair, a face similar to Forgrim's.
It was a clone of Fugrim, but it failed.
Fugen looked at this scene, his expression seemingly a little dazed.
He noticed Thor's gaze, and his eyes shifted slightly downwards as he looked at Thor: "Don't disturb Sage Kaul's experiment. Let's go inspect the position."
Saul did not object; he knew that Fugen must be experiencing mixed feelings watching this scene.
He and Fugan parted ways at the entrance, each inspecting half of the defensive line. But after Fugan had gone some distance, Thor slowed his pace slightly and activated Iron Ten, the Phoenix Son's exclusive auxiliary AI built into his power armor.
“Hello, Iron Ten, my father and Primarch Fuchs has mixed feelings about his creator, Fabius. I think he may have regarded Fabius as a father figure, but Fabius is a shameful traitor. How can I advise Lord Fuchs?”
"Hmm, this time the user asked how to persuade Lord Fugen, who regards the traitor Fabius as his father. This question is a bit unexpected, but quite interesting. The user previously asked, 'How to subtly attract Lord Fugen's attention?' 'How to gain more praise from Lord Fugen?' 'What should I do if I feel honored to be by Lord Fugen's side?' It seems the user really likes Lord Fugen; we need to provide that information."
Thor looked up abruptly, his superhuman senses allowing him to perceive a slight tremor coming from the ground of Murder Planet, as if many things were wriggling within it.
Inside the laboratory, with the help of the original Forged One, Caul manipulated the chainsaw behind him to begin cutting through the clone Fuggen's body.
The intelligence inherent in this clone was naturally revealed to Caul, but as the dissection deepened, Caul gradually discovered that the clone seemed to have undergone additional design, deliberately showcasing the wisdom of its creator and setting up a series of puzzles for Caul to solve, thus testing Caul's skills.
This is a challenge, a challenge from Fabius Bayer.
Kaul chuckled coldly, effortlessly unraveling a mystery hidden between genes and flesh, catching a glimpse of the cloning prototype technology.
It must be said that Fabius Bayer's creativity is truly extraordinary; this one corner alone allowed Kaul to see a crazy, unrestrained monster.
Just then, the ground trembled slightly, and a storm seemed to howl in the sky.
Kaul raised his head slightly, and one or two miniature Doraemons popped out from beside him, whispering in his ear.
"The Explorer King has been invaded."
"Hidden within the surface of Murder Star are the eggs of the giant spider monster resurrected by Fabius."
Kaul looked at the original leader beside him and said:
"Go and tell this information to the original clone."
“Help him intercept Fabius Bayer’s intrusion.”
The original leader did not move an inch: "You need my protection."
Belisarius Caul glared at him: "I don't need to. Go and fulfill your responsibilities. Buy me time to unravel the Primarch's wisdom."
The original leader hesitated for a moment, then nodded slightly, choosing to obey Caul's order.
After the original leader left, Caul slightly shook his robes.
A miniature Doraemon emerged, holding an inverted triangular glass cone filled with crimson blood, which swayed gently within the cone, resembling a liquid ruby.
The Blood Stack is a divine artifact that stores the genetic sequences of twenty-one Primarchs.
Kaul remained unfazed, and another miniature Doraemon emerged from under his robe, holding a tiny children's camera.
Kaul's face drew close to the Blood Stack, and a mechanical arm equipped with scissors at its end pressed against his face.
Mini Dora snapped the shutter, capturing Kaur's face, his peace sign, and the Blood Stack in the frame. A photograph then emerged from beneath the camera.
Mini-Dora pulled out the photo, gently tossed it, and released it as a psionic signal into subspace. The pale sand-covered surface of Murder Planet was trembling erratically, as if something was about to hatch.
As he turned, a cloud of pale dust billowed up, revealing figures composed of sharp blades and slender limbs, standing before Fugen.
Fugen remained unfazed; the head of the original forging team brought news from Caul.
Beneath the surface of Murder Star lie a considerable number of giant spider-like insect eggs, which have just been activated by pheromones, beginning to hatch and rapidly grow into adult individuals.
Meanwhile, in the void, a large number of Chaos ships also stormed into the star system where Murder Star was located, clashing with the ships of the Phoenix Sons and the Great Sage's Explorer King. The markings on those Chaos ships indicated that they belonged to the "Phoenix Order".
That was the force established by Edoron, the former commander-in-chief of the Sons of the Emperor, after the Great Rebellion. It was the largest force among the rebellious Sons of the Emperor.
"Edoron," Fugen's voice lowered slightly.
Fuggen had little good impression of this former commander-in-chief of the Emperor's Sons, the strongest person below the Primarch of the Emperor's Sons Legion; in fact, he harbored more murderous intent towards him.
He, Forgrim, and Fabius were the instigators of the Legion's downfall.
As Fugen watched the giant spider monsters surge toward the Phoenix Sons' battleground, he raised the Forgebreaker Warhammer in his hand.
"Kill for me!"
"Slay for the Emperor!"
Aboard the Dagger-class corvette Vesalius, Fabius Bayer, a grotesque, spider-like smile playing on his lips, watched the battle raging on the murder planet.
The original Astartes are currently engaged in a fierce battle with the giant spider monster resurrected by Fabius Bayer.
These warriors, born from the hands of Belisarius Caul, were faster, more agile, more deadly, and more dangerous than ordinary Astartes.
Ten thousand years ago, on the planet Murder, the Emperor's sons clashed with the giant spider monsters.
Overall, most of the original castings performed better than the Emperor's Son from that era.
However, looking at the bigger picture, the original Astartes did not perform any better than the most elite Astartes of that era.
Their bodies are indeed more efficient, but they haven't yet created a real gap compared to the older versions of Astartes. The better Astartes can surpass them through experience, talent, and training.
Characters like Taviz, Lucius, and Edron, who participated in the War to Murder the Stars, performed better and better than the original Forged.
In Fabius's view, the improvements made to the original casting were utterly uninteresting.
The so-called Belisarius Caul was nothing more than that.
Fabius Bayer sneered, preparing to lead his Newtypes and Astartes' Astartes forces to board the Explorer King and hunt down the Blood Stack.
But at that moment, a vision suddenly appeared before Fabius's eyes. In the vision, he could see Belisarius Caul's face, making a V-sign, with a...
Fabius stared wide-eyed at the inverted triangular glass container filled with bright red blood.
Blood Stack
Belisarius Caul actually wore the Blood Stack with him.
Bayer quickly traced the psionic signal back to the planet Murder Star and discovered that it indeed originated from there.
This is clearly a challenge, a challenge from Belisarius Caul to Fabius Bayer.
Bayer's expression quickly turned cold.
He slightly waved his finger, signaling the plan to board the Explorer King to cease.
Since the Blood Stacks are not on the Explorer King, the gains from boarding that giant mechanical ark would be minimal.
“Project the new humans I designed specifically for them,” Fabius said with a cold laugh.
A meteor shower swept across the sky above Murder Star, and the drop pod, trailing sparks, plummeted towards the planet's surface.
On the ground, the Phoenix Children began unleashing anti-aircraft fire towards the sky.
However, the giant spider monsters possessed some kind of biotechnology that allowed them to manipulate the climate, and Bayer revived this technology as well.
Lightning, storms, and thunderstorms blanketed the sky, making it difficult for anti-aircraft fire to target the massive airdrop pods; only a small number were destroyed.
Most of the airdropped pods crashed directly onto the ground, creating a heatwave and billowing smoke.
Thor stared intently at the drop pods, sensing danger within them. Just looking at them made his senses become extremely acute, and a sharp stinging sensation ran through his skin.
"Surround those drop pods!" Thor quickly gave the order over the comms, while simultaneously slashing the head of a giant spider monster with his Phase Palace Sword.
The Phoenix Children quickly regrouped, tearing apart the giant spider monsters and closing in on the massive airdrop pods.
Sticky heat waves erupted from the airdrop pod, the heat not emanating from machinery, but rather from some kind of scalding hot creature.
A slender figure, much taller than Astartes, wriggled its tail and crawled out of the drop pod.
Their lower bodies are long, winding tails like snakes, covered with a slimy exoskeleton similar to that of moray eels. Their upper bodies have mammalian features, except for exceptionally well-developed pectoral muscles and four slender yet strong arms.
Their heads, however, are more like insects, shaped like a ball with a slightly pointed tip, protruding mandibles, and flashing compound eyes, staring intently at the phoenix children present.
The air suddenly became thick and hot, a nauseating musky scent spreading through the air, turning into a damp and fragrant haze that wrapped around everyone's necks. A pleasurable suffocation followed, electric currents surged through the nerves, delicate silks melted past the eyes, petals slid down the throat, rose thorns scratched the internal organs, and happiness and joy welled up from the wounds.
Enduring such a powerful sensory impact, the Phoenix Children stared intently at the enemy before them.
They had never faced such an enemy before, but upon seeing the faces of these aliens, they were instinctively filled with hatred.
Thor, panting heavily, gripped the Phase Court Sword tightly, the memories within his geneseed reminding him of the name of the creature before him.
"To stab someone."
The alien that was destroyed by the Son of the Emperor, and then destroyed the Son of the Emperor.
