Chapter 621 Guilliman is chewing soybeans

Chapter 621 Guilliman is chewing soybeans.jpg
The forces stationed in the Sindu system can be divided into three parts.

The world engine directly under Xerath, the fleet under the Silent King, and the fleet brought by Zandrek directly under his command—these are the three parts in total.
As the commander-in-chief of the Sindhu system's defense fleet, Zandreik theoretically has the authority to command the Silent King's fleet and his own, and with Xerath's permission, he can also utilize the World Engine.

Such a massive fleet guarding a star system is indeed capable of withstanding any form of enemy.
Zandreek positioned the Silent King's fleet on the outermost edge of the system, around the asteroid belt of the Sindu system, as a bulwark to directly repel enemy attacks.

Zandreuk's forces were positioned beyond the asteroid belt.

The asteroids in the Sindu system are primarily composed of extremely hard metals, mixed with some black rocks left over from 60 million years ago. Their outer shells are coated with a layer of solid ice due to the low temperatures of space, making them difficult to destroy even with a single strike from a space-necromantic lightning arc array. It is necessary to slow down and avoid these asteroids.
This is also why the Silent King chose the Sindu system as the core of the Exorcism Zone; the asteroid belt is a natural defense.

Zandreuk's forces were positioned behind the asteroid belt to snipe enemy units that had to slow down while traversing it.

The plan went very smoothly. Although Storm King's central fleet was powerful, it had lost its left and right flanks and suffered some losses.
At this moment, the Storm King's fleet, facing the Silent King's elite fleet, was like waves crashing against dark reefs—continuous yet always shattering the moment they touched the rocks.

Those overlords directly under the control of the space undead even began to mock the Storm King's fleet, which seemed oblivious to their own mortality.

"You can keep Storm King; blow up all those tomb ships!"

"Haha! Count me in!"

"good idea!"

"That's amazing!"

"If he's not the Dharma Emperor I like, kill him on the spot!"

The Silent King's dynasty declined to its lowest point over a long period of 60 million years. The language logic modules of these overlords were generally damaged, and their speech was not very logical. It was only after the Silent King returned that they gradually began to climb to a high position.

But at that moment, the asteroid belt behind them suddenly moved.
Those enormous asteroids seemed to suddenly possess a will of their own, and they shot towards the Silent King's fleet.

The Zandreik forces behind them launched an attack almost simultaneously.

On those asteroids, Zandrek, taking advantage of his position, installed numerous miniaturized gravity engines that could propel the asteroids to extremely high speeds in a short time, giving them immense kinetic energy.
This situation was completely unexpected by the Silent King's fleet. At first, they couldn't even understand why this was an attack against them, and they couldn't understand why the asteroid belt behind them was getting closer and closer.

Until the first asteroid crashed into the fleet, the sheer size and weight of these asteroids, combined with the acceleration granted by their gravity engines, transformed them into extremely dangerous weapons.

The impact occurred, with the first asteroid slamming into a shroud-class light cruiser. The massive asteroid shattered, and the ship, made of living metal, crumbled and disintegrated, flying wildly in all directions amidst the debris.

Then, more ships were submerged by the asteroid rain, turning into cosmic debris along with the exploding asteroids, drifting aimlessly in space.

In their haste and panic, part of the Silent King's fleet began to turn back, attempting to use the lightning arc arrays on their ships to concentrate fire and shoot down the asteroids.

Their actions were swift and effective. While a single lightning arc array couldn't destroy these asteroids, the convergence of numerous lightning arc arrays was enough to tear through the thick layers of ice and metallic celestial bodies.

However, some of these asteroids, after being attacked by the Silent King's fleet, experienced a detonation of torpedoes placed on them by Zandrek. The metallic asteroids themselves instantly melted and shattered, but the black rocks within them remained unaffected.
The black rocks, propelled by the explosion and inertia, scattered in all directions at near-light speed, tearing apart the ships attacking the asteroid shower like fragmentation grenades.

Zandreik's forces seized the opportunity to launch an attack on the Silent King's forces, forming a pincer movement with the Storm King's army.
At the same time, some of the terraformed asteroids in the asteroid belt were also activated. Instead of crashing into the Silent King's forces, they crashed into the world engine within the galaxy.

In an instant, a deafening meteor shower erupted from the world's engines, forcing a large number of weapons to be used to defend against the asteroid.

And the remaining weapons
A clear sound of doors opening suddenly rang out, and the flagship of the Blood Angels, the Red Tear, and the flagship of the Phoenix Sons Chapter, the Phoenix Pride, led a large number of human fleets directly into the Sindu system, blocking the path between Zandreik's forces and the World Engine.

But both the Crimson Tear, the Queen-class battleship of the Holy Blood Angels, and the Phoenix Pride, meticulously designed by Fugen, now became mere supporting characters.

At the very center of the human fleet, a massive ship resembling a trident stood in the void.

This is an Abyss-class battleship, even larger than the Glory Queen-class battleship. It is one of the three ships forged by the traitorous Primarch, Loka. It once belonged to Eribababas and was named the Blessed Lady, but is now called the Doraemon Cabinet.
This magnificent warship clashed with the World Engine, illuminating the entire Sindu system with the light of the Light Spears and Lightning Arcs, even dimming the stars.

But in this fierce battle, a key figure was missing.
Guilliman casually grabbed a handful of soybeans from the small cloth bag Zhou Yun had given him, stuffed them into his mouth, and chewed them while looking at the message Zandreik had sent.
Storm King Imotek did not appear in the Sindu system.
This French emperor of the Sotek dynasty seemed to have vanished suddenly, missing this important war.

On the outskirts of the Spirit Exorcising Dead Zone, amidst the roaring subspace storm,
On the Glory Queen-class battleship Macragge's Radiance, Guilliman chewed on soybeans while looking up at the metallic figure in the shadows.

Imhotep, the Storm King and Emperor of the Sotek dynasty, stood in Guilliman's office.

Guilliman's victorious honor guard was arrayed around him, but the Storm King remained completely unfazed.

He calmly looked at Guilliman sitting behind his desk, and tapped the ground with the scythe in his hand, which was even somewhat enormous for a space necromancer. "Human commander, Lord of Alteramar, Robert Guilliman, do you really want to eat those cheap beans?"

The lights were off in Guilliman's office, and his figure was almost entirely shrouded in darkness, a darkness so profound that even the Storm King could not see through it completely.

He only vaguely saw Guilliman make a gesture, signaling the Ever Victorious Army surrounding Imotek to retreat.

The ever-victorious army hesitated for a moment.
"Step back. Your lives are the Emperor's precious currency. Don't waste them here." Guilliman's voice carried an unyielding force.

The victorious soldiers shuddered, but ultimately obeyed the orders of their genetic father and left the office.

"This is a gift from a friend of mine."

"He claimed that when I was commanding a battle or thinking, I created a very atmospheric and imposing atmosphere."

Guilliman said, his fingers tracing the bag of roasted soybeans.

"I do have a strong feeling about it, in the future..."

"If I have a future, I may commemorate you, my talented adversary, in this way."

Imotek, gripping the scythe, took a small step toward Guilliman.

“You are a very valuable space necromancer. You can play a significant role for the human empire. You don’t need to die here. You have other options.”

"Submit, Imotek, you are a more satisfying ruler of the space necromancy than the Silent King."

Guilliman advised softly:

Why seek death?

"I would rather call it a last-ditch effort than a suicide attempt."

Imotek's metallic face revealed an expression that could be described as a smile:

"Your plan is too ingenious. Even if the Sindu system is conquered and the Silent King is defeated, I will no longer be able to compete with you humans."

"If the King of Silence fails, I have already effectively lost."

“But I’m not entirely without a chance. You are the commander of humanity, and the human forces depend on your coordination. Even, as far as I know, the human empire is functioning today largely because of your mind.”

"You are the core of the human order. If I kill you, the human order will be severely damaged, and my order will still have a chance."

"Are you so convinced that your order is better for this galaxy?" Guilliman asked.

“I have never been so arrogant as to think that my order is the best.”

Imotek gripped his scythe tightly and said in a resolute voice:

"Only practice can prove everything, and the practice of order is war."

"So I stand here, using war, using the clash of two orders, to determine whose order is better."

"If I win, it means my order is superior; if you defeat me, it means your order is the stronger one."

“Your chances of winning are slim,” Guilliman said calmly.

"Really? I think I have a very good chance of winning."

Imotek slightly raised the scythe in his hand, and a cold, sharp light burst forth from it.

A massive, metallic, skeletal hand, wrapped in tattered black cloth, emerged from the scythe and took it from Imotek's grasp.

The terrifying death echoed throughout the Glory of Macragge.
