Chapter 618 Ahriman was a strong man

Chapter 618 Ahriman was a strong man
Stars covered in eerie runes hovered within the net, forcefully blocking the Storm King's fleet, casting countless ever-changing beams of light upon the space undead ships forged from living metal.

Before that strange star, an Astartes, clad in blue power armor and resembling a fearsome being, stood atop Tzeentch's Demon Disc, overlooking Storm King's fleet.

Tzeentch's Chosen, Lord of the Scarlet Letter Network, Wizard of Wizards, Think Tank of Think Tanks, Azak Ahriman, the answer to the Astartes psionicists.

By comparing the databases, Storm King Imotek confirmed the identity of the human wizard before him.
Ahriman looked down at the fleet of space undead. The blasphemous star corrupted by the warp let out a sharp roar, and prominences mixed with powerful warp energy surged forth.

Ahriman slowly extended his left arm, which was not clad in power armor. His arm was bulging with muscles, and powerful psionic energy surged through his flesh.
The thousand-year-old suddenly clenched his fist, which was as big as a mortal's head, and raised it high. Psychic energy surged and roared, and the solar prominences spewed from the star behind him moved accordingly.
The surging prominences on that star and his arm were connected by psychic energy, transforming into a thick, gigantic arm composed of light, heat, and psychic energy.

Then, Ahriman opened his fist, which transformed into a palm, and the giant arm of prominences extending from the star did the same.

Ahriman's palm slammed down, and the massive arm of the solar prominence tore through the void in the net, slapping at the undead spaceships that hadn't had time to brake and had fallen into the star's attack range.
In the blink of an eye, those ships made of living metal were slapped to pieces by the star and melted into molten iron, which was then swallowed by the star.

Imotek watched this scene, tilting his head slightly.
Are all wizards these days painted like this?

Back during the War of Heaven, weren't those Eldar wizards just chanting clowns, performing shamanistic rituals, and occasionally crafting spirit rings?
Why is the style of human wizards so bizarre? So...powerful?

This is still a minor issue.
More importantly, how did he end up here? How could he be blocking our way?
The Silent King assured Imotek that the Web had fallen into his hands during the War of Heaven, and that in this era of fallen Ancients and declining Eldar, only he still knew of its existence and possessed its map.

Even in the Great Compendium of the Web Paths, which was explored and compiled by the Eldar rangers, there is no record of this Web Path. In other words, no one can find and enter this Web Path without the Silent King's permission.

But Azak Ahriman, an entity Imotek had never anticipated, inexplicably appeared in the Netway with an entire star, blocking his fleet's path.

Could it be that the Silent King, that fraudster's son, has once again unleashed his divine wisdom, intending to discard Imhotep after he has served his purpose and betray him?

Imotek was unaware that Ahriman had found this Webpath neither through the technology of the Necromancers nor through the Eldar's Webpath Compendium.
Instead, it was achieved through a human technology.
Ahriman lowered his hands slightly, looking at the flesh-and-blood book made of human female skin that floated in his hands.
The book itself is alive; along its spine, one can vaguely see organs resembling the heart and lungs slowly pulsating, pumping blood and nutrients to each page.

On the pages made of elongated skin, dark blue veins constantly change and intertwine, weaving a map of the surrounding network.

This is the "Map of Purgatory," a web-based map created by humans.

When Magnus's psionic telephone destroyed the Emperor's Web, some of the Silent Sisters and Mechanicus were trapped within it.
These cyborg priests were among the most brilliant scientists in human history and experts in Web technology. In order to return to Terra and to the Emperor, they began searching for a way to escape the Web.
It's unknown how much time they spent navigating the time-distorted web, but they ultimately succeeded in completing this web map using the skin of a Silent Nun.
Unlike the Eldar's "Compendium of the Web Paths," which relies on the physical exploration of Eldar rangers, "Purgatory Map" can automatically generate nearby web path maps, guiding users to their desired destinations.

However, the "Map of Purgatory" was completed too late. The mechanical priests and the Silent Sisters were ultimately unable to leave the Net Path. The "Map of Purgatory" fell into the hands of the Clown, was collected by Xi Gaoqi, and later acquired by Zhou Yun.

Guided by the "Map of Purgatory," Ahriman was able to enter this secret network and summon a blasphemous star to block the Storm King's fleet.

Storm King's metallic face darkened; he had no choice but to use one of the last two treasures of the Sothek Dynasty.

The sound of cold, clear stream water lapping against ancient boulders suddenly rang in Storm King's ears. Several withered, broad leaves fell from the shadows, and a power sword gleaming with bright light pierced through the air, aiming straight for Storm King's neck.

Storm King abruptly turned his head to look in the direction from which the blade had come.
He saw a wild beast.

Clad in dark green power armor, his face hidden beneath a beard and hair of gold and gray, he was a humanoid beast wielding a sword and shield.

Lion Lion Ryan Eljonsson, sword of loyalty in hand, strolled out of the forest. Just then, a crackling roar of electricity erupted, and a burst of black light crackling with electricity burst forth from the Storm King's throne, enveloping him like a dark cloud and pressing down on Ryan Eljonsson.

As the Sword of Loyalty collided with the black light, almost instantly, the sword's energy was completely absorbed by the black light, leaving it dull, weak, and powerless.

A sphere made of living metal hovered above the Storm King's throne, upon which dozens of faces formed from pure energy could be vaguely seen roaring, trying to break free from the sphere's restraints.

This is one of Storm King's trump cards, one of his most powerful weapons—a Supreme Star God Fragment formed from dozens of fragments belonging to the same Star God. Its power far surpasses the sum of those fragments, and it has even regained some of its former intelligence and power.

Once released, the danger it poses to oneself is equal to the danger it poses to the enemy.

Unless absolutely necessary, Storm King will not release him, but will instead use his external hyperdimensional cube cage to borrow a portion of the power of this Supreme Star God fragment.

but now.
Bang! ! !
The black light released by the fragment of the Supreme Star God slammed towards Ryan Eljonsson, but Ryan, wielding the kite shield in his left hand, easily deflected the Star God's energy-devouring attack and was even rapidly charging towards Storm King, almost reaching him again.

Why do humans always come up with these inexplicable things?
The Star God can even devour the energy of a star, but it can't devour the energy on that shield. What's the reason for this?
Without further hesitation, Storm King extended his finger and gently touched the dark, living metal sphere on his head.
A burst of silvery-white waves instantly appeared on the surface of the metal sphere, from which dazzling black light burst forth.
"Traitor!!! Slave!!!"

A sharp, furious roar echoed through the net, and thin wings woven from black light suddenly unfurled. The Storm King's flagship, the Unyielding Conquest, was instantly torn to pieces. Strangely, however, no fire or explosion occurred; only the fragments hung limply in the void, as if all the energy from the Storm King's flagship's destruction had been absorbed.

A massive, dark cloud, larger than a warship and composed of thin, feathery wings, emerged from the net, stretching its body.
In an instant, even the light of the star summoned by Ahriman dimmed considerably.

The Star God, the Sun Devourer Empores, whose form is closest to the original state of the Star God, still excels at devouring stars and seizing energy, much like the stellar vampires of the past.
The Sotek dynasty once collected a large number of his Star God fragments, which were then assembled into this Supreme Star God for use as a trump card.

The moment the Sun Eater was released, Imhotep used the Pocket Dimension to teleport to the nearest undead spaceship.

The fragments of the star god belonging to Emporesh are rapidly coalescing; the star god's sanity is quickly returning, and it is sending out summons in all directions along the threads of spacetime, calling upon the other fragments scattered among the stars that belong to Him.
This is precisely why Imhotep has been unwilling to release the Sun Eater until this crucial moment. The Supreme Star God is powerful enough to summon its fragments and regain its wholeness.

Once completed, the Sun Eater Empores will reappear. Even though he is one of the weaker Star Gods, far inferior to beings like the Nightbringers, the Burners, and the Void Dragons, he will still be a catastrophe.

Before the Sun Eater could fully regain its sanity and will, Imhotep gave it its final command.

Devouring the star that was blocking Storm King's fleet was exactly what the Sun Devourer excelled at.

Ahriman raised his thick arm once more, and a stellar prominence erupted, transforming into a thick arm that slammed down on the Sun Eater, which was vibrating its thin wings of light as it flew toward the blasphemous star.

But at the very moment the Sun Devourer collided with the giant arm of that star, the solar prominence's energy was rapidly devoured and vanished into thin air in the blink of an eye.

The sound of the cold spring water flowing through the forest rang out again, and Ryan Eljonsson suddenly appeared before the Sun Eater, brandishing the Emperor's Shield in his hand.

A faint golden light flashed by, and the Sun Devourer was actually forced back a step.

But Imhotep remained calm. He knew the power of the Supreme Star God, a power that even the Primarchs of humanity could not withstand on their own.
Fire—a straight sword engulfed in flames—emerged from the void, followed by blasphemous and obscene laughter.
“Ryan, my second most boring brother, my dear eldest brother, do you seem to need a little help?”
