Chapter 571 The Schemed Immortal Wa
Chapter 571 The Schemed Immortal Wa
The scorching light and heat engulfed the entire planet, and everything was instantly broken down into pure plasma.
Vashtor hovered in the void, watching this cataclysmic scene with an admiring gaze.
Although Zhou Yun was Vashtor's rival, as the embodiment of destructive creativity, Vashtor couldn't help but admire the weapon known as the Earth Destruction Bomb.
He tried to understand the underlying principles, but found them extremely obscure and complex; even Vashtor could not decipher even a fraction of them.
Although Vashtor's curiosity and thirst for knowledge drove him to continue unraveling the mysteries, he knew he couldn't waste time here and had to hurry back to support the battle above Corinnar.
A reddish-pink wooden door suddenly opened beside Vashtor.
Vashtor froze, then saw the door slam open, and a strong, short-haired man emerged, brandishing a baseball bat ablaze with imperial fire, charging towards Vashtor.
Doraemon sits down — Gian the Great Demon,
Amidst the prayers of Doraemon's devotees, Gian had already reformed his body and reappeared in the material universe.
The baseball bat in his hand, wreathed in flames, slammed into Vashtor's face.
Vashtor, being a warp being after all, was naturally afflicted by the Imperial Flame. Suddenly struck by such an attack, he staggered backward.
Just then, another wooden door, reddish-pink, opened behind Vashtor.
Fat Tiger stabbed Vashtor in the chest with his baseball bat, sending Vashtor flying into the Anywhere Gate.
The scene before Vashtor changed instantly, and when he opened his eyes again, he found himself being pushed into a passage woven from light.
Netway!
Vashtor was slightly taken aback; the attack came too suddenly, and even he was somewhat caught off guard.
How did that Doraemon predict in advance that he would come here with a bomb that destroys the Earth?
This doesn't make any sense at all!
But Vashtor had very little time to think.
A shadowy Ultramariner, wielding a chainsaw sword, emerged from Vashtor's side.
At the same time, a battle nun covered in burns wielded a powered spear wrapped with war chess pieces and thrust it forward.
Both the chainsaw sword and the battle banner were pointed at Vashtor's neck, as if to sever his head with a single blow.
Vashtor's mind worked at an extremely fast pace, completing a series of dodges almost in an instant.
But the Ultramariner and the Battle Nun seemed to have anticipated Vashtor's movements, their chainsword and battle banner blocking Vashtor's dodge path ahead of time.
The spearhead of the battle banner pierced Vashtor's hip bone, and the chainsaw sword cut into his ribs, instantly immobilizing him.
Battle Sister Jeanne and Midnight Chosen Titus
Their timing was so perfect that it left Vashtor completely bewildered.
Vashtor struggled to resist, but just then, a sharp, piercing song rang out.
"I'm Gian!!! I'm the leader of the kids!!!"
"Crimson Angel! You are worthy of the blood of Saint Gilles!"
"Monsters! You have failed us!!!"
"Company Commander Finney roared, his explosive pistol whistling as it shattered the head of a monstrous, grotesque monster,"
Just before the General's Cannon was about to strike, Primarch Ryan Eljonsson suddenly summoned a dense forest, led Finney and the Crimson Angels into it, and escorted them to safety. He then disappeared into the forest alone.
Finney, leading his loyal crimson angels and other troops that arrived later, launched an attack on the corrupted monsters on Corinnar.
"Fanny! Are you blind?! Can't you see the glory that Saint Gilles has bestowed upon us?!"
"You damned traitor! Repent!"
The Crimson Angel, the former chief priest, roared as he unleashed a barrage of explosives at Finney.
The chief priest was now in an extremely grotesque state; he had transformed into a hideous monster nearly five or six meters tall, his entire body covered in jet-black muscles that constantly oozed blood. These muscles were interwoven with his original power armor, making him appear exceptionally terrifying.
Most horrifying of all was his face, which was enormous and riddled with holes, each from which hung chains that dragged along scorching hot incense burners.
The incense burners continuously emitted blood-smelling smoke, which aroused the bat monsters surrounding him, driving them into extreme madness and rage, causing them to charge towards Fenny without fear of death.
The most dangerous thing is that the smoke can not only arouse the anger of those monsters, but also the anger of other Astartes who have the blood of Saint Gilles, which is extremely dangerous.
"You call this the glory of Saint Gilles? Nazareth! Open your eyes and see! You have only degenerated into hideous monsters!"
“Look back at those mortals you slaughtered and kept in captivity. Did Saint Gilles teach you to harm mortals in this way?”
Finney, hiding behind cover, unleashed a torrent of fire while hurling insults at the chief priest named Nazareth.
Behind them lay the breeding grounds where the Crimson Angels kept mortals. Finney's raid on this place was also to save the mortals within. Finney took a deep breath and slowly began to gather his spirit.
Over the past few decades, many of the elite members of the Holy Blood Angels have received training using a tool called the "Superpower Training Box."
By training with this tool for three hours every day for a total of three years, one can gain three superpowers: telekinesis, clairvoyance, and teleportation.
Finney, naturally, also underwent training with the superpower training kit.
Almost in the blink of an eye, Finney teleported to the front of the chief priest Nazareth.
In mid-air, Finney kicked the monstrous creature in the chest, then plunged his power sword into its neck, before forcefully pulling his arm together...
Before Nazareth could react, Finney instantly beheaded him.
The black and gray head rolled to the ground with a thud.
Finney landed with a single step, focused his mind, and released powerful psychic energy, dispelling the crimson smoke and repelling the bloodthirsty monsters that tried to approach him.
Finney stood atop the corpse of Nazareth, raising his power sword high, and roared in fury:
"In the name of Saint Gilles, with the clear, crimson blood of angels! Kill! Kill! Kill!"
The Crimson Angels, following Finney's lead, roared in unison and crushed the remaining bloodthirsty monsters with irresistible force, slaughtering all the fallen Crimson Angels.
Subsequently, Finney led his troops into the farm where the Crimson Angels fed mortals.
Blood, bright red blood, pooled here, almost submerging Finney's ankles.
Looking around, there were almost no living people, only withered corpses floating in the pool of blood. Only upon closer inspection could one find some mortals hiding among the corpses with fear on their faces, cautiously observing Finney and the others.
Finney gripped the power sword in his hand slightly, unable to meet the fearful gazes of the mortals.
Then, Finney noticed a raised platform in the center of the enclosure.
Hanging upside down on the high platform was the broken body of an old mortal. The lower half of the body had been torn apart, and the arms had been broken. Iron chains pierced through his ribs, holding him upside down in the air, as if to intimidate the other mortals in the farm.
"Company Commander Finney," a weak voice came from the mangled body.
It was then that Finney realized that the mortal was still alive.
He quickly focused his mind and teleported to the high platform.
Then, Finney gasped. He saw that the old man's torso was covered with grotesque metal tubes and writhing, profane flesh. It seemed to be some kind of evil magic that forcibly kept the old man alive, preventing him from dying, and forcing him to remain hanging upside down and suffering torture.
“Peter?” Finney recognized the old man.
He was the chief steward of the Crimson Angels' servants. About 180 years ago, he and Finney participated in the selection ceremony for the Crimson Angels. Finney was chosen to become an Astartes, while Peter was disqualified because the chapter's priests deemed his will insufficient.
But Peter did not want to go home like that; he preferred to serve the sons of Saint Gilles as a servant.
He eventually became the Warband's chief servant, underwent a life-extending surgery, and became the longest-serving mortal in the Warband's history.
From Peter's listless narration, Finney roughly understood what had happened.
After the fall of the Crimson Angels became obvious, resistance did erupt on Corinth.
The first rebellion came from the Blood Priests within the Chapter. These apothecaries, whose blood was circulated with the blood of Saint Gilles, discovered the Red Angels' plot. Peter, using his position as the Chapter's Chief Servant, helped the Blood Priests contact other suspicious warriors, ultimately organizing the first rebellion.
However, this rebellion ended when the Red Angel was successfully summoned to the real universe, and all the Holy Blood Priests were captured, kept in captivity, and used as sacrifices for the Repentance Ritual.
The second rebellion was entirely a rebellion of mortals. After the Blood Priests' rebellion was suppressed, Peter, with some of the Chapter's servants, fled into the deep mountains of Corinth, where he organized mortals to launch a rebellion against the Crimson Angels. He managed to hold out for twenty years using guerrilla tactics, but was ultimately captured by the fallen Crimson Angels.
The Fallen Ones did not kill Peter, but cruelly tortured him into this state, hanging him upside down in the farm, and using evil magic to keep him alive, using his miserable state to intimidate mortals.
"I'm sorry, Company Commander Finney."
Peter said in a hoarse voice:
"I am ultimately a worthless loser."
"I have betrayed the blood of Saint Gilles."
Finney trembled all over, knelt on one knee in front of Peter, and couldn't utter a single word.
"No, only you," Finney finally spoke after a long silence, "only you are the last vestige of purity—"
Suddenly, the sound of a spear piercing the air rang in Finney's ears.
A spear resembling Bigong's spear, but exuding a strong smell of blood, shot out and aimed at Peter's head.
