I'm in Warhammer, please don't praise Doraemon

Chapter 557 Ultimate Brand Face Cream

Chapter 557 Ultimate Brand Face Cream

On the golden throne, the human emperor sat motionless, like a statue, seemingly having sat there since the end of time, and perhaps destined to remain so until the end of the universe.
But only the Imperial Guard knew that human emperors were not entirely unchanged; in recent decades, some of their flesh and blood had slowly regenerated.
And all of this is because of...
As Valyrian, the captain of the Royal Guard's Shield Guard, patrolled, he looked up at the steps beside the Golden Throne.
On the steps lay a makeshift mat, and a man, using a pillow intricately designed with various mechanical structures, slept soundly beside the golden throne.

His presence made the otherwise solemn and sacred throne room seem somewhat comical, as if he were on a completely different level from everything else in the room.
Beside the man sat cross-legged a bespectacled boy with a buzz cut. The boy had a revolver and a dead, unpowered sword called "Denko-maru" tucked into his waistband.
He is the incarnation of Doraemon, and Nobita Nobi who once shot Khorne's leg. However, after Doraemon fell asleep, Nobita did not fall asleep with him, but remained awake, occasionally leaving the throne room, seemingly to do something else entirely.
Valyrian knew of some rumors circulating outside, some saying that the Emperor was using an incarnation of Doraemon to travel among humans.
But Valyrian saw Nobita Nobi looking at the Emperor on the Golden Throne with a wary gaze several times.
Just then, Valyrian's superhuman senses picked up a figure.
She was a woman wearing a Cardiac military uniform, which was faded from washing but not worn out; on the contrary, it was very clean. Her face was quite beautiful, but she had a deep scar on her cheek.

The woman, with her hair tied in a ponytail, carried a bucket and climbed the steps in front of the golden throne.
That was Ms. Reina, the commander of the 184th Regiment of the Cardia.

In a sense, they are Doraemon's imperial guard.

The Cartier 184th Regiment, led by Ms. Reina, and the fighting nuns, led by Ms. Jeanne, take turns every ten years to care for the sleeping man, that is, to care for the sleeping body of Saint Doraemon.

Reina nodded to the Valyrian Shield Guard captain, temporarily deactivated the Berserker Clock effect surrounding Zhou Yun, and wiped the dust off Zhou Yun's face with a damp towel.

The gadget called the Mad Clock can warp time; many years happening near Doraemon's body are only a few seconds happening in the outside world. Naturally, he often gets covered in dust and needs frequent cleaning.
Lena first wiped Zhou Yun's face clean with a towel, and then took out a box of face cream with the Ultra Warrior logo from her pocket and applied it to Zhou Yun's face.

Valyrian, filled with curiosity, inquired of Lady Reina.
Lena told him that it was a special face cream given to him by the Ultramarines. They used it to care for Primarch Robert Guilliman in the Stasis Field, and it would create an ion field that would automatically isolate nearby dust.

Valyrian also got some of the Ultimate Cream, which he would occasionally apply to the Emperor's skin.
To be honest, it did make the emperor look more radiant after using it.

After wiping Doraemon's face, Ms. Rena changed all the bedding and then carried the used bedding out of the throne room.
Logically speaking, there was no need for Ms. Lena to do this kind of work herself.
However, with two deities now sleeping in the throne room, the Imperial Guards were extremely wary of allowing anyone else to enter.
Unfortunately, Ms. Jeanne, who also believed in Saint Doraemon, didn't quite trust the Imperial Guard. After some wrangling, it turned out that only Ms. Jeanne and Ms. Rena could ascend the steps in front of the Golden Throne and take care of Saint Doraemon's body.

The throne room doors slowly closed, and Lady Reina briefly left the throne room. Valyrian's gaze lingered on the closing doors for a moment.

Many of the Guards have now left the Throne Room and gone to the Stars to follow Guilliman's orders, but the vast majority still prefer to remain in the Throne Room to directly protect the Emperor.
Unlike many of the Custodians, Valyrian actually longed to go among the stars and use the body the Emperor had given him to protect humanity. He even vaguely felt that this was what the Emperor wanted them to do.

Unfortunately, Marshal Trajan left him in the throne room. Valyrian sighed inwardly.

嗦.
Valyrian's keen senses detected a sound, and his alertness instantly rose. He gripped his power spear tightly and looked in the direction from which the sound came.

"ha----------"

A long, drawn-out yawn echoed through the throne room, as if someone who had slept for thousands of years had awakened.

"Lena is putting face cream on my face again. She really thinks I'm Killieman."

Zhou Yun complained casually, rubbed her face, and wiped off all the sticky face cream.

Then he stretched, loosened his somewhat numb body, crawled out of the covers, and moved around a bit.
He felt his body, stiff as lead, after countless years of slumber. Only after moving around for a while did he feel the blood begin to flow again.
The moment his body recovered, Zhou Yun turned to look at the three-year-old Nentaro pillow that was still on the bed.
Looking at the prop, Zhou Yun's expression instantly became somewhat complicated, somewhat numb, and almost on the verge of breaking down.

The 22,222 dreams still lingered in his mind, even causing Zhou Yun to experience an unbearable numbness.
This is the operating principle of the Sansen Netaro Pillow: it repeatedly simulates the dream until it arrives at the answer the user desires. This is also why the more complex the problem, the longer it takes for the Sansen Netaro Pillow to arrive at the answer.

Although 22nd-century technology wouldn't have caused Zhou Yun psychological problems from over 20,000 dreams, the 20,000 cycles through the Warhammer universe still left him feeling exhausted, numb, and in pain.

He did get the answer from his dream, but his gaze toward the three-year-old Nemitaro pillow was still full of disdain.

"I hereby confer upon you the title of First Prisoner of the Nine Gates of the Wonderful Gadget Prison!" Zhou Yun cursed, kicking the Three-Year-Old Bedtime Rider Pillow away. Valerian, standing below the steps, instinctively tried to catch the Three-Year-Old Bedtime Rider Pillow.
However, three years later, the pillow that Natsuro had placed on the steps bounced back, struck a stone pillar, and then, due to the reaction force, landed on a nearby stone statue. It was then deflected by the statue's sharp edges and flew towards Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun lightly stretched out his hand, and the three-year-old Nemitaro pillow landed squarely in his hand, which he casually stuffed into his four-dimensional pocket.

In over 20,000 dreams, Zhou Yun had lost count of how many times he had kicked away this damned prop, and he could now accurately predict where it would land after being kicked away.

"It seems you've already gotten the answer." Nobi Emperor, who was sitting cross-legged to the side, gently raised his eyes and asked.

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yun's expression became slightly complicated.
Before falling into a deep sleep, Zhou Yun, the Emperor, Saint Gilles, and Guilliman had devised many other plans. They intended to have a backup plan should they fail to find a suitable answer within three years.
But in those more than 20,000 dreams, Zhou Yun had long understood that these plans, which seemed to be different choices, were actually just one option in the end.

"Is the answer that you must ascend to godhood?" Nobi Emperor looked at Zhou Yun's complex yet numb expression and immediately judged what kind of answer Zhou Yun had received.

He had a similar expression the moment he sat on the golden throne.

Feeling neither anger nor sadness about one's fate is pure numbness.

"If it were just about ascending to godhood once, I wouldn't be so confused," Zhou Yun shook his head.

A weak smile appeared on his lips; this answer had utterly stunned him.
This answer is terrible. If Zhou Yun makes a mistake along the way, or if the emperor fails to hold on, he will be doomed. Does he really have the ability to complete this task?

If it weren't for the fact that his attempts to escape to the Paradise World or the Pocket Universe in his dreams didn't go well, Zhou Yun would have really wanted to run away.

Zhou Yun remained silent, sensing the prayers that had been slumbering for him for decades surging forth from the subspace.

He heard countless voices ringing in his ears, countless voices longing for his awakening, longing for him to bring back that answer.
Such a massive wave of faith would have overwhelmed him instantly, leaving him feeling extremely uncomfortable.

But the memories of those more than 20,000 long dreams still lingered in his mind. Even the faith he had accumulated over the decades flooded into Zhou Yun's mind, but was overwhelmed by those memories.

He listened calmly to the prayers and sighed softly.
When the sky falls, the tall ones will hold it up.

The last tall person was the Emperor, and he's already reached that height, but he's about to give way.

Zhou Yun looked around and realized that he had somehow become that tall guy.
He wanted to step up, not because he was capable of doing so, but because he was the only one left.

Zhou Yun turned his head and glanced at the emperor on the golden throne.
The emperor's face was covered in a thick layer of face cream, making him appear radiant yet somewhat comical.
Zhou Yun stared at him for a while, and finally couldn't help but shake her head with a light laugh.

Just then, the sound of the bucket hitting the ground rang out, followed by a joyful exclamation.
Zhou Yun turned his head without surprise to look at the face that seemed more mature than before, and a slight smile involuntarily appeared on his lips.
"Long time no see, Lena."

Zhou Yun addressed Reina, who stood beneath the golden throne, her eyes brimming with tears:
"I'm awake, I'm back."

"I have come to save humanity from darkness and war for the fortieth millennium."
