I'm in Warhammer, please don't praise Doraemon
Chapter 549 Doraemon is Above!
Chapter 549 Doraemon is Above!
The sound of Doraemon's hymns is bright and clear, like a gentle breeze on the high mountains of Macura, or the joyful laughter of children.
Imperial hymns are solemn and dignified, like the statues of monarchs overlooking marble streets from the perspective of Macurag, or like the moving speeches of the Primitive.
Grena walked through the corridors carved with stories of Doraemon and the Emperor's past, her heart pounding uncontrollably.
This is a chapel belonging to the Battle Sisters. When the Pilgrims arrived in Terra, they were received and examined by the Battle Sisters.
The nuns praised their courage and piety on their pilgrimage, welcoming them with twenty-two songs and questioning them twenty-two times to test their loyalty. Finally, their loyalty was proven during the exorcism incense, allowing them to enter the outer sanctuary of Terra Palace in the Himalayas.
This was the most magnificent building Gretina had ever seen in her life. Rather than a single building, it was more like a nest of administrative spires, government offices, parchment warehouses, and various churches stacked upon each other.
It is indeed magnificent, but it inevitably feels a bit chaotic.
Grena was somewhat disappointed with Terra's appearance. She felt she wasn't as good as Macurag.
Led by the elderly, battle-hardened nun Magda, Greline and the other pilgrims arrived at a quiet little chapel.
Inside the church stands a statue of Saint Doraemon with his round hand raised high, and next to the statue of Saint Doraemon are several smaller statues.
These smaller statues were further divided into two groups.
Belisarius Doraemon, the Great Sage, Rena the Pure One, and Jeanne the Saintly Maiden are the younger group; they are mortals chosen by Saint Doraemon.
Next are five slightly larger statues: Gian, the Divine Voice; Nobita, the Sea Emperor; Archangel Saint Gilles; Regent Guilliman; and a figure wearing a hood and dark green power armor.
Grena's gaze lingered on the hooded figure; their ship had been saved by this being during their pilgrimage to Terra.
Legend has it that it was a living saint awakened before Doraemon fell asleep, Doraemon's sharpest weapon, a hunter in the shadowy forest, and the protector of the empire.
This being, taciturn and silent, leads a band of equally silent Space Marines across the galaxy. When villains run rampant, demons emerge, and traitors ravage the Imperium, this silent being leads the Astartes out of a misty jungle to punish all evil, protect the weak mortals, and then vanish quietly after accomplishing all their tasks.
Grena had been on pilgrimage ships for decades and wasn't sure if this person was really Doraemon's living saint. But now, seeing his statue standing next to Saint Gilles and Guilliman, Grena was truly convinced that he was indeed the living saint of Saint Doraemon.
Grena also noticed that the figure seemed to stand side by side with the statues of Saint Gillespie and Guilliman, as if they were an indestructible trio. Could that living saint also be one of the original beings who had passed away and were resurrected by Saint Doraemon?
Could it be.
Greline had a vague idea in her mind that it must be Primarch Ryan El-Jonson.
The reason for this conjecture is that when Grerina was still a noblewoman in Macurag, there was an ancestral antique carving in the family's secret annex.
The sculpture depicts Saint Gilles, Guilliman, and Ryan sitting side by side on three thrones.
Although there is no historical record of it, Greline judged from the ancestral carving that the three Primarchs must have had a very good relationship in the past.
However, after the Great Raiders' henchmen invaded and the family territory was breached, Grena was rescued by Saint Gilles, and the carving mysteriously disappeared.
Later, Grena returned to her family's old home to search for it, but ultimately found nothing. Perhaps it had been destroyed by a traitor.
The battle nuns brought food for Greline and the pilgrims.
Sweet juice derived from tree leaves, a serving of dorayaki, rice, and roasted locusts.
These are all foods that are very common in the galaxy now.
Needless to say, the juice from the decomposed leaves and the resulting dorayaki are part of Doraemon's holy meal.
Rice and roasted locusts were two foods I encountered on many of the planets I visited during my pilgrimage.
Legend has it that this is one of the blessings Doraemon left for humanity before he fell asleep—a miraculous gadget called the Holiday Agriculture Set, which was brought to various planets by the Unyielding Expeditionary Fleet.
Each reclaimed planet yields a large number of Holiday Agriculture Kits, which can grow rice and locusts in even the harshest environments, feeding countless people.
Grena savored the rice; it tasted similar to what she had eaten on other planets.
However, Grena had heard a rumor that the rice on Terra was grown by the Emperor's royal guards, which she figured was probably just a rumor.
Following Doraemon's teachings, Grena did not waste a single grain of food and ate her fill. She sincerely thanked Doraemon and the people who grew the food.
The nun named Magda told the pilgrims that they could rest in the church that night and would be allowed to make their pilgrimage to the Gates of Eternity the next day.
However, this is limited to the Gate of Eternity; they will not be allowed to enter the true core area of the palace, an opportunity reserved for the Imperial Guard, Primarchs, Saint Doraemon, and others who have been chosen.
The pilgrims then whispered praises to the Emperor and the name of Saint Doraemon, while Grena, her heart pounding, prayed to Saint Doraemon.
She had long ago discovered that the closer she was to Terra, the clearer the dreams she experienced when praying to Saint Doraemon became.
Grena, with a sliver of hope, wished that she could sense Doraemon's clear and unwavering will during her prayers.
She sang Doraemon's praises softly twenty-two times, then began to hum Doraemon's hymn softly.
Doraemon is the primal force, the source of power for all living beings, spirits, machines, and even the stars; he is the primary driving force of all things. All those who harbor an inexhaustible drive and a passion for creating beauty all turn to him.
Saint Doraemon is the eternal dragon, the whip and rice that nourishes, satisfies, and sustains all living beings. Every feeling of fullness, every pleasurable meal, and every act of reverence for food all points to him.
Doraemon is the chosen one of death, a warm and peaceful sleep, the end of all suffering, and the guide to that eternally tranquil place in the 22nd century. Every yearning to return to the 22nd century, every peaceful death, and every longing for comfort amidst suffering all point to Him.
Grena seized the satisfaction in her stomach after dinner, the tranquility of this moment, and the motivation within her to make a lifelong pilgrimage. She prayed devoutly to Saint Doraemon.
She had a sincere faith, and almost every prayer allowed her to feel a connection with Doraemon. But for the past few decades, she had only experienced that boundless dream.
"Twenty-two thousand two hundred and fifteen dreams"
"Tairen Collaboration Chestnut Steamed Buns"
".Tiamat Hive Fleet"
“Thirst and betrayal”
"The Great Devourer Descends."
"The Dark Lord is Born"
"Failed. Try again."
It was a dream again, only much clearer this time.
Gretina could vaguely see Doraemon wandering in her dream, trying some way to save the galaxy.
He saw Doraemon standing beneath a tall tower made of viscous biomass, holding up a pastry, seemingly negotiating with some dark shadow in the void.
But ultimately, everything came to an abrupt end.
Grena felt terrified.
She felt the hunger of the shadows lurking behind the swarm, and the coldness and pain of when everything came to an abrupt end.
She could barely contain herself, curling up and kneeling on the ground before the Doraemon statue, sobbing softly.
My Lord, what are you going through? What are you searching for? Will you really come back?
She clearly sensed that Doraemon had tried more than 20,000 times in his dreams to find that answer.
But Doraemon has not yet been found.
Grena was filled with nothing but boundless despair and pain.
Her sobs were inconspicuous; pilgrims often wept with emotion. But suddenly a strong hand patted Greline's shoulder.
The elderly Sister Magda quietly approached Greline's side.
Just as Grena, her face streaked with tears, was about to say something, she saw Sister Magda gesture for Grena to be silent and then follow her.
Although Gretina didn't know the situation, she chose to believe the nun because she vaguely guessed her identity based on the nun's name.
Grena followed the high nun out of the small chapel, walking along the corridor into the depths of the chapel in the night.
Once they were alone, Grena finally couldn't hold back any longer. She humbly lowered her head and asked softly:
"Madam, your name is Magda. Could you be the Magda High Sister mentioned in the 'Doraemon Bible: Rena Book'?"
The Book of Lena records a High Sister Magda, the leader of the battle nuns in the Hades Galaxy, who fought against the Tyranid swarm on the planet Lysio and was one of Doraemon's earliest followers.
“It was me.” High Sister Magda nodded slightly, a smile appearing on her aged face. “That was a long time ago. I have long since retired from the front lines and am now in charge of teaching young nuns in Terra.”
Grena bowed respectfully, her face showing only reverence, while also wondering where this person was going to lead her.
They eventually stopped beside a quiet, small monastery. Sister Magda waved slightly, gesturing for Greline to go in by herself.
Grena followed the instructions, stepped forward, pushed open the side door of the monastery, and entered.
Then, in the hall of the small monastery, Grena saw a nun.
The nun was covered in burn scars, tall and slender but not too thin. Her bright eyes were lowered as she looked at her knees, sewing a battle flag on them with needle and thread. The flag, made of gold thread, was embroidered with a double-headed eagle symbolizing the emperor and the round face of Doraemon.
But what truly made Gretina tremble was that behind the nun was a bed.
A round, blue metallic figure slept soundly on the bed. The figure was round from head to body, even its nose was red and as round as a star.
"Holy Doraemon, by your side!" Grena's legs went weak and she knelt on the ground.
