Half-baked
Chapter 4 04
The place that Huai Nian and Duan Huai'an returned to was not the villa where they once lived, but the renovated Duan family's home.
Renovation is a big project. The original decoration of the Duan family was traditional Chinese style, which would not be outdated no matter what era it was placed in. However, Duan's mother never liked this decoration, so when Duan Huai'an's father was transferred to an overseas branch, she renovated the whole house without asking for permission.
The house is huge and it took three years to renovate it.
Three years later, Duan Huaian moved back home, and with him came the nanny who had taken care of his daily life for the past three years, his mother whom he missed.
Huai Nian is from South City, but her home is very far away. She has to take the subway to the terminal and then take two buses to get home.
Thanks to her outstanding performance in the high school entrance examination, Huai Nian was admitted to the best high school in South City.
Later, she performed normally in the college entrance examination and was admitted to Nancheng University, the best university in the country.
Her hometown was far away and the journey was complicated. Besides, she didn't have many relatives there, so she rarely went back after she went to high school. Most of the time, she came back to the Duan family.
Of course it wasn't because she wanted to accompany Duan Huai'an, but because she missed her mother.
When I arrived at the nanny's room, I lay on the bed listlessly.
Not long after, the door was pushed open.
"Mom," Huai Nian turned over, "Why is it so noisy outside?"
"Your Aunt Cheng is having a party at home, and many of her friends are here."
Aunt Cheng is Duan Huai'an's mother. When I first saw Cheng Songyue, I was shocked. How could she look like the mother of a 17-year-old child? She was clearly a sister. She was young and beautiful, and her every move exuded a natural elegance.
Is she really my mother, not my sister? She thought so in her heart and said so out loud.
Cheng Songyue smiled happily when she heard this: "Then you can call me sister."
"Ah? Madam, this is not good, right?"
"Calling me Madam makes me look old," Cheng Songyue said, "but you and Huai'an are the same age. If you call me sister, Huai'an, who is a few months older than you, will have to call you aunt. How should I put it? That scene is quite interesting, but it has no morals."
"I can be immoral to others, but I still have to be a little moral to my son. You should just call me aunt."
Huai Nian discovered that Cheng Songyue not only looked young, but also had a young mentality and personality.
Unlike other members of wealthy families who have inherent prejudice and arrogance, Cheng Songyue did not hide anything and said casually: "My husband and I are in a business marriage. Do you know what the biggest advantage of a business marriage is? I don't have to worry about food and clothing. I can do whatever I want every day and I live a happy life."
Huai Nian was stunned by what he heard.
It was Duan Huai'an who came out, his eyes taunting: "Is this something to be proud of?"
The mother and son seemed to be in reverse positions.
Cheng Songyue seemed a little uncomfortable. She tried to make excuses for herself: "Although our marriage is a business one, I later found out that Duan Huai'an's father has liked me for a long time. What is this called——"
Nostalgia blinked: "Marriage first, love later."
"Bingo——!" Cheng Songyue was proud.
Cheng Songyue likes Huainian very much. Sometimes when she holds a small party at home, she will invite Huainian to come and play.
It’s called fun, but it’s nothing more than making you reminisce about the delicious food you ate in the past.
Same this time.
Missing my mother, she said, "There are a lot of desserts this time. Don't you like sweets the most? Come over and have some?"
I miss wanting to eat but not wanting to move.
I missed my mother when her cell phone rang. It was a call urging her to go to the kitchen to help.
"Mom, you go ahead. If I'm hungry, I'll find something to eat by myself." Huai Nian waved at her.
"Okay, Mom will be back when she's done."
"Ah."
The room returned to silence once again. I lay on the bed, my stomach growling.
She had no appetite after waking up. She went to class on an empty stomach in the morning, took a nap, woke up and went to the cafeteria, but didn't eat much. Now, her stomach began to protest.
She accepted the defeat and got up to go outside to find something to eat when her cell phone rang.
This is a message from Duan Huai'an.
He said: [Come to my room.]
Miss: [I’m hungry. ]
Duan Huai'an: [There is food in the room.]
He immediately sent a photo. There was a small living room in his room, with a coffee table and a sofa. The coffee table was full of food. Huai Nian took a look and saw that they were all her favorite food.
Huai Nian hesitated for a moment and asked tentatively: [You should say you are not angry first. ]
Duan Huai'an: [If I were really angry, would I prepare such a table of food for you? ]
Miss: [Are you really not angry? ]
Nostalgia: [Then you say, Chinese people don’t cheat Chinese people. ]
Duan Huai'an: [? ]
Duan Huai'an: [Chinese people don't cheat Chinese people. ]
Huai Nian just didn't believe it. He, a Chinese, deceived her, a Chinese, and only deceived her, a Chinese.
She put down her phone and walked out, but when she was almost in the living room, her mother called her back and a plate of fruit was stuffed into her hand for no reason.
"Mom, is this for me?" Huai Nian raised the corners of her mouth with a sweet smile.
"I'm a little busy. Please help your mother deliver this plate of fruit to the young master's room." After saying this, Huai Nian's mother turned around and walked towards the kitchen in a hurry without giving her a chance to refuse.
She walked forward a few steps helplessly and suddenly realized that someone seemed to be looking at her.
She looks up.
On the second floor corridor, Duan Huai'an leaned his elbows on the corridor railing, his delicate facial features outlining a face with a cold and dark tone, and his eyes that looked down and down showed a bit of world-weariness and cruelty.
Seeing that she finally noticed his presence, Duan Huaian raised his eyebrows.
He opened and closed his lips, using his mouth to have a silent conversation with her.
——Have you hidden enough?
——Come up.
-
The bedroom door opens.
Close it again.
In an instant, Huai Nian was pressed against the door panel by Duan Huaian.
The fruits in the fruit plate fell to the ground. Subconsciously, she missed the flower-shaped plate that she vaguely remembered buying at an auction. Anyway, there were a lot of descriptions in front of the plate, and she didn't understand them, but she knew that the plate was very expensive. So she held the plate tightly to avoid dropping it.
Duan Huaian pressed over, pried open her lips with his teeth, and kissed her fiercely and vigorously.
I've only kissed him, so I have no way of telling whether his kissing skills are good or bad.
He kissed her roughly, their lips and tongues entangled with each other, twisting her tongue until it became numb. The sound of their wet saliva mixed with her disordered breathing. She missed the dizziness of being kissed.
Behind her was a cold door panel, and in front of her chest was a fruit plate that she held tightly. She was forced to raise her head to meet his aggressive kiss. She felt very uncomfortable, and she struggled and pushed him away with her hands. Duan Huai'an saw this and pulled her hand over and pressed it against the door panel.
"There are people outside!" She was so anxious, her thin lips were glistening with water and were very soft, and he liked it very much. He didn't like what she said.
Duan Huaian frowned.
Huai Nian thought he would be afraid, but in response, Duan Huai'an snatched away the fruit plate she was holding tightly in her arms.
Duan Huai'an found the plate annoying: "It's just a broken plate, but you're not idle at all."
That being said, seeing that she was holding him like a baby, Duan Huai'an did not throw the plate away, but placed it on the entrance cabinet. Then, he picked up Huai Nian in his arms, walked through the long bedroom corridor, and threw her on the sofa.
Huai Nian supported herself with her elbows and tried to sit up, but he suddenly stuffed a piece of dessert into her mouth.
She uttered an inarticulate "hmm".
In a trance, Duan Huai'an knelt on the other side of the sofa. He pulled open her skirt with both hands. After the passionate kiss, his clear face was stained with some strong emotions. Nostalgia was too familiar - it was a dangerous invasion.
After hiding from him for a whole day, she missed the courage she had when she got angry with him at the bus stop just now. She hurriedly swallowed the dessert in her mouth, swallowing the cake slowly in her throat. She spoke slowly: "I'm sorry... I'm sorry Duan Huai'an... I shouldn't have asked you to wait for me..."
There was the rustling of fabric and the ambiguous sound of water.
Then, she clenched her teeth, but still let out an ambiguous gasp from between her lips.
She was shaking as she grabbed his hands: "Please don't be like this, okay? If I don't come downstairs after delivering the fruit, my mother will be worried. She said she might come upstairs to find me later."
When Duan Huai'an heard her words, he lowered his eyelids and laughed even more wantonly: "I forgot to tell you that my bedroom is the best soundproof place in the whole house."
"..."
"So no matter how loud you scream later, your mother won't be able to hear you."
"..."
Duan Huai'an pinched her face, very gently but also coldly: "I won't do anything too extreme to you. You are hungry, and I am hungry too. You eat your dessert, and I eat mine--"
He swept his eyes all the way down and smiled meaningfully: "Dessert."
The words fell.
Duan Huai'an once again expressed his nostalgia.
I miss turning my head and seeing her slightly bent legs in the window, with the man's broad back between them, the curve of which changed with the passage of time.
It seems to be raining outside.
The sound of water mixed with the sound of water.
She was drenched by the rain, and the blush on her ears spread to her entire body.
In the dim night, she heard him say, "Hide from me. This is a punishment, baby."
Not far away on the master bedroom bed, Duan Huaian's cell phone was vibrating.
After a long time without a response, the person on the other end of the phone stopped persisting and the screen returned to black.
When night fell, Duan Huai'an took a shower and came out. Huai Nian was no longer in the house. He took out his cell phone and wanted to send a message to Huai Nian. When he unlocked the phone screen, he found five missed calls.
All from Chi Jingting.
Duan Huaian called back and the waiting tone was answered after a few rings.
The electric current brought with it a harsh sound wave, so loud and sharp that it hurt Duan Huaian's ears.
Without saying a word, he hung up the phone.
About two minutes later, Chi Jingting called back.
As soon as the call was connected, Chi Jingting couldn't help but complain: "Why did you have to hang up the phone? Can't you wait for me to find a quiet place?"
Duan Huaian hummed nonchalantly.
Chi Jingting had long been accustomed to him being like this. It was not that he was perfunctory, but Duan Huaian was very lazy, so lazy that he was very frugal with his words.
If the emotional stability of others comes from a stable core, Duan Huai'an's emotional stability comes from his indifference to the people and things around him. He won't be amused, nor will he get angry. In the final analysis, he is too lazy to pay attention to others.
Chi Jingting asked him: "Why don't you answer my calls?"
Duan Huai'an: "Something happened."
Chi Jingting: "What are you doing tomorrow?"
Duan Huai'an: "What's wrong with you?"
What was said was quite aggressive, but Duan Huaian's tone was the same as usual, calm and composed, just a simple inquiry.
Chi Jingting asked: "Can't I find you if I have nothing to do?"
Duan Huai'an said: "I'm at home."
This means asking him to go to his home.
Chi Jingting said, "Okay, I'll come over to have lunch with you."
Before hanging up the phone, Chi Jingting yelled, "I almost forgot about the important matter. Is the babysitter home?"
"Who's the babysitter? If you can't speak, just shut up." Duan Huaian lowered his voice, impatient.
Chi Jingtingle, who said Duan Huai'an was lazy? Look, when it comes to nostalgia, isn't there a lot of talk?
He readily changed his words: "I miss my sister, I miss my sister, okay? I spoke too quickly. I apologize to my sister."
Duan Huai'an said in a bad tone: "Who is your sister?"
Chi Jingting was speechless. "You are too possessive. It's just a name. Is it that serious?"
Duan Huai'an: "Don't come over tomorrow."
Chi Jingting: "Okay, okay, I miss you—your family misses you."
Duan Huai'an relaxed his spine, leaned back in his chair, and asked him, "Why are you looking for my family to miss you?"
Chi Jingting said, "I need her help with a small favor." After a pause, knowing the gentleman's temper, Chi Jingting emphasized, "It's really just a small favor. Your family misses sending a message."
Duan Huaian returned to his usual taciturn self, replied coldly with a "hmm", and hung up the phone.
