Chapter 284

Once upon a time, Li Zhuiyuan also wanted to abide by the rules they set, after all, the enemy was strong and we were weak.

At the beginning, the boy regarded the three incense sticks as a difficult test, and concentrated on dealing with each move. However, when the second and third ones came, forcing his side to fight at the cost of total loss, the nature of the matter changed.

There's no reason why you are allowed to break the rules again and again while I have to endure it.

Isn't it just playing by the rules?
The book "Code of Conduct for Walking on the River" is the product of the young man's battle of wits and courage with the laws of nature since he started walking on the river.

There are some things that one cannot understand more deeply or master more thoroughly just because one lives longer. If that were the case, the river would not have targeted the young man so early.

Since we have decided to retaliate, then this revenge must be manifested.

Just like what Zhao Yi thought, Li Zhuiyuan also wanted to see a river of blood. The household registration books that were cancelled into blank pages did not reflect the boy's paranoia, but a cold habit.

It was Li Zhuiyuan who asked Yin Meng to prepare the sacrifice, and the sacrifice was the tomb owner, but Li Zhuiyuan did not think that the emperor would really come down to do anything.

If the emperor really wanted to do it, he wouldn't have to wait until now.

This wave of people heading to Fengdu was initiated by the emperor. How could the emperor not know the actions of his subordinates?
He knew it, but did not stop it, let alone intervene. Therefore, even if the emperor was successfully provoked, the direct goal you wanted could not be achieved.

But the indirect goal can be achieved.

Previously, in the tomb owner's consciousness, Li Zhuiyuan taught the tomb owner a magic spell.

Thanks to the situation at that time, the tomb owner was under the control of Li Zhuiyuan's black book secret technique. Li Zhuiyuan could easily impose his will on him, and the teaching efficiency was very high. Coupled with the tomb owner's own extremely high talent and rich experience of being possessed by the evil spirit many times in the past, he learned very quickly.

But even so, it is impossible to learn and understand the entire set of "The Sutra of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva" in such a short time.

What the tomb owner learned was the second chapter of the first volume of the sutra.

For most of these inherited scriptures, the first chapter of the first volume is an introduction to the gods' worldview, which is a skippable stage. The second chapter is a call and prayer to the gods.

In reality, in most temples, believers kowtow before praying before facing the statues of gods, which are actually broad extensions of the second article.

It is very difficult to sense the gods using this technique. Moreover, for example, the young Lin Shuyou was able to sense the Yin gods very early on, and therefore was hailed as a genius among officials and generals.

Regardless of the tomb owner's talents during his lifetime, there are three such beings in his body now. On this basis, the second call is equivalent to, to a certain extent, borrowing the name of those three to send a message to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

If the Bodhisattva is not omniscient and omnipotent, and has insight into fate... then he would also be shocked when he sensed this kind of prayer.

At this point, Li Zhuiyuan still didn't feel safe. After all, those three had the ability to block out the gaze of Heaven for a short period of time, which meant they must also have the ability to block out that kind of existence.

Therefore, Li Zhuiyuan asked Yin Meng to perform the sacrifice. If the emperor came and punished directly, everyone would be happy and the matter would come to an end. Li Zhuiyuan also agreed with this result. Otherwise, it would be equivalent to asking the emperor to show up and provide the bowl of vinegar for the next dumplings.

In the past, the emperor was furious and issued a decree, and the hidden family was wiped out. The top forces in the martial arts world were all aware of this movement, and Grandma Liu even knew the follow-up of the incident earlier than Li Zhuiyuan, the person involved.

In the Zhenjun Temple, Li Zhuiyuan had sensed the gaze of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. At that time, the young man knew that the Bodhisattva could see through the shadow of the emperor standing behind him, representing the inheritance.

It is almost an instinct for such powerful beings to care about each other's actions, especially for Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and King Fengdu. There is not only a doctrinal gap between them, but also a dispute over the right to speak in the underworld.

When the emperor's gaze glanced here from above in a dignified manner, Li Zhuiyuan didn't believe that the Bodhisattva's gaze would not also glance here.

When He looks here, the so-called cover no longer has any practical meaning.

With double insurance, Li Zhuiyuan achieved his goal.

Looking at the solemn appearance of the tomb owner, if you didn’t know him, you would think he was some enlightened monk during his lifetime.

These are all special “gifts” from the Bodhisattva.

When the Buddha's light appeared, it meant that the Bodhisattva decided to use the tomb owner as a chess piece and this illegal three-stick killing move as the chessboard to enter the game!

At this moment, Zhao Yi was shocked and sighed. He had previously thought that the man surnamed Li did not understand family struggles, but in fact, he understood them too well.

No matter how big the internal contradictions of a force are, they can always be reconciled and resolved by themselves, but once they are exposed, their nature will change completely.

Above the head, a golden light was brewing, like a layer of untimely morning glow.

It came, but it was hesitating, waiting, and searching.

Zhao Yi immediately sensed the opportunity.

This wave can be regarded as a small theater attracting big stars. Big stars cannot easily go on stage in person, so they need to arrange a servant to run errands for them.

Zhao Yi felt that he could take on this responsibility.

If the Bodhisattva needed a knife, he, Zhao Yi, could shave his head and become a monk on the spot.

As for the twin sisters, they were unconscious and didn't know anything. Besides, at worst, I could just return to secular life after they woke up.

Zhao Yi raised his head and puffed out his chest, and the gap between life and death was spinning in front of his chest.

At this moment, it was just like a pet in the market trying hard to be taken away.

Li Zhuiyuan raised his eyes slightly, took a look, and then looked away.

The rays of light made its choice, and a ray of light fell first, shining in front of Li Zhuiyuan.

With the Green Lotus in your body, it is easier for you to be favored by the rays of light.

Li Zhuiyuan did not move and still stood outside the circle.

In this regard, Zhao Yi expressed his understanding and said that if we have to choose, we must start with the good ones.

If Mr. Li doesn’t want it, wouldn’t I be the next one?
Sure enough, the rays of light moved in front of Zhao Yi.

Zhao Yi raised his foot and was about to step in.

This was a great opportunity for him. From now on, when he traveled around the world, he could learn from that guy named Li and have a big shot backing him up.

However, just as Zhao Yi was about to come into contact with the rays of light, the tomb owner who was chanting scriptures suddenly stopped.

The glow in front of Zhao Yi dissipated, and the glow above him became somewhat unstable.

Zhao Yi was stunned and looked at the tomb owner.

He realized that the guy was targeting him!
But the problem was, the way that guy looked at him was filled with deep concern.

It was as if he was doing this for his own good.

From the first time the tomb owner showed self-awareness, Zhao Yi discovered that the other party treated him very specially. Even though he didn't know him at all, the other party treated him as a childhood friend.

The tomb owner recited scriptures again, the glow in the sky consolidated, and the halo below appeared in front of Zhao Yi again.

Zhao Yi...didn’t dare to go in.

The brief pause was enough for him to clear his mind, and he suddenly realized that if it was really a good thing with no major disadvantages, Mr. Li would never have left it for him.

Zhao Yi's failure to move forward was tantamount to rejection.

After a while, the halo in front of him disappeared.

There was no one else standing at the scene, so the rays of light could only shine on the tomb owner, and together with the light from above, they also merged into its body.

The red, white and black colors, which were already suppressed, were now suppressed even more thoroughly.

They didn't care about the origin at this moment. The strong sense of crisis and the sudden change of reality made them abandon all their plans and try to escape at all costs.

"Buzz." "Buzz!" "Buzz!"

Three balls of light and fire surged out from the tomb owner's body, and he completely ignored everything else.

Three rays of light shot out from the tomb owner's body, binding the three balls of light and fire, forming a stalemate with them.

Zhao Yi looked up at the wonder above, which looked like the aurora, so beautiful.

As one of the people who set off the fireworks myself, I actually felt a sense of accomplishment in my heart.

However, that kind of one-sided crushing situation did not occur. The three balls of light and fire were gradually breaking free, and the other three colors of light that appeared earlier were in the west to support them.

Zhao Yi initially suspected that the Bodhisattva was not working, but then gradually realized that it might be the carrier that was not working.

This kind of remote wrestling requires too much from the servants.

The owner of the tomb turned his gaze to Li Zhuiyuan.

The double gaze, one is asking for help, the other is clear.

The former came from the tomb owner himself, and the latter was exactly the same as what was felt in the Zhenjun Temple.

Li Zhuiyuan said loudly:

"Humans and ghosts are on different paths, separated by yin and yang. The principles of heaven and earth cannot be violated. Now there are three little ghosts, causing trouble in the world. Please, Bodhisattva, show mercy and save the world!"

After Li Zhuiyuan finished speaking, the tomb owner imitated and repeated: "Humans and ghosts have different paths, and the yin and yang are separated..."

During the chanting, the glow did not change, but the power of the red, white and black lights in leading the West weakened, which meant that the summons from the Fengdu underworld was withdrawn.

In private, it's okay to open the back door secretly, but once it's put in the open, you have to follow the rules.

However, the pull of the other three lights still exists.

I just don’t know if those six people really have a good relationship, or if it’s because they are in the same boat and the three who didn’t come are still unwilling to give up the three who came.

So far, it is not enough for the tomb owner's side to simply return to a stalemate.

Li Zhuiyuan spread out his right hand, and under the condensed blood mist, the blood-porcelain-colored battle flag reappeared, and the young man grasped it with his hand.

"Crack!"

With a crisp sound, the battle flag was broken.

The formation originally set up here began to collapse.

In an instant, white light appeared, and the Feng Shui energy from the surroundings flowed back, washing away all the dirt and covering it, illuminating the place like day.

Zhao Yi was forced to not only close his eyes immediately, but also to quickly shut down his perception.

The fear in my heart surged up again.

If only the formation was destroyed, this phenomenon would not occur. The current situation shows that Mr. Li had hidden this underlying structure when designing and arranging the formation.

No wonder Mr. Li sat there and wrote and drew for so long. The amount of his deductions was much more than I had imagined.

In the past, when this guy was not so strong, he really gave himself the opportunity to kill him. Now, with this guy rising step by step, his methods and meticulous scheming have made Zhao Yi feel afraid.

Putting himself in the other's shoes, Zhao Yi felt that the Heaven was too easy to talk to. If he were the Heaven, he would have sent down thunder to kill the man surnamed Li. It would not be enough to kill him. After Li was buried, he would have to strike the grave a few more times to prevent him from falling dead after death.

In short, in the short term, there will be nothing here that can hide the eyes of Heaven.

Li Zhuiyuan took the opportunity to speak:

“Have you ever heard the Buddha say: I will not attain Buddhahood until hell is empty?”

The tomb owner clasped his hands together and chanted sincerely:
"Until hell is empty, I will never become a Buddha!"

At this moment, the three people who were originally in the west to receive the three rays of light also let go of their hands.

Even if it was laid out in the open before, the three who didn't come could still choose to turn a deaf ear at the cost of paying a certain price. What can they do to me anyway?

But now, it is like being put on the scale. If I don’t let go, my hand will also be put on the scale.

In the final analysis, although there are still special beings under the Way of Heaven who can defy Heaven and stay, in the general trend, the Way of Heaven still has an absolute advantage.

Even if someone really wants to emerge who can fight against the way of heaven, the emperor must come first, and it will never be their turn.

The red, white and black lights, having lost all external support, were forcibly pulled back into the body of the tomb owner and then completely covered by the rosy glow.

One after another, Buddhist seals appeared on the tomb owner's body, like shackles on him.

Zhao Yi finally understood why the tomb owner had tried to dissuade him when he wanted to step into the circle.

This is not an opportunity, this is a seal.

If Zhao Yi had just gone in, he could only show off his power for ten minutes, and then...that would be it.

Zhao Yi turned around suddenly and glared at the young man:

Mr. Li, why didn’t you remind me just now!
Li Zhuiyuan lowered his head.

Zhao Yi thought to himself: Damn it, you come again! Are you going to open another can of drink later?
But this time, the boy did not avoid Zhao Yi on purpose, but because he had previously helped the tomb owner to realize his ambitions, his mental consciousness had been completely drained.

Now, all that Li Zhuiyuan could see was gray and white. He was very close to going blind like last time.

The boy sat down, groped in his backpack, took out a can of Jianlibao, opened it with a "puff", and poured the drink into his mouth.

Zhao Yi: “Haha.”

The tomb owner continued to move backwards. His tomb was at the back, and the "robber hole" he dug when he came out was still there.

As he retreated, the shackles on his body became heavier and heavier, almost tightly wrapped in several layers, even his head.

Before approaching the tomb robber's hole, the tomb owner first looked at Li Zhuiyuan.

Without the young man, it would not be able to complete this posthumous revenge.

Then, the tomb owner set his eyes on Zhao Yi again.

The two of them had no connection in the past. When the tomb owner lived, Zhao Yi's grandfather was not even born.

However, due to the evolution in memory, the tomb owner still retains memories of "Zhao Yi".

Before his eyes were covered by shackles, a gleam of light shone in the tomb owner's eyes, as if he was giving a blessing.

Zhao Yi only felt an itch in his heart. The peach blossoms that had withered and died had the possibility of growing back again.

At the same time, the tomb owner's past memories emerged in Zhao Yi's mind. In a short period of time, he saw the tomb owner's life.

The tomb owner fell into a robbery hole.

Zhao Yi subconsciously stretched out his hand. His previous misunderstanding turned into enlightenment, but it was too late to say anything. He couldn't even make an active eye contact, which left him with great regret.

The surrounding rays of light rushed into the tunnel frantically, forming a convergence that filled and closed the entrance.

There was a vibration underground. The underground structure was changing. The Feng Shui above was also swept away at this moment, and the once auspicious cave was gone.

The most ingenious seal does not require a magnificent building; as long as it is ordinary enough, it can be impossible to find.

"call……"

Zhao Yi breathed a sigh of relief.

He had just left Nantong not long ago, and this wave had just begun, but at this moment he felt as if the big wave had ended.

After walking back to Li Zhuiyuan and observing him carefully, Zhao Yi realized that there was indeed something wrong with the boy's body.

He stretched out his hand and waved in front of Li Zhuiyuan.

"Hello, Mr. Li."

"Not blind."

Zhao Yi took out a pill and handed it over.

Li Zhuiyuan opened his mouth and took the medicine.

Zhao Yi did not forget to make an annotation: "This pill is for me to save my life. Old Tiantou couldn't make it. This is the last one."

"Oh."

"Boy, why do you like testing me so much? It was like this under the peach forest and it was like this just now."

"It was only later that I realized that entering that circle would seal me in. I didn't have that thought at first."

"Then why don't you go in?"

"We are going to Fengdu this time. The aura of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is too strong on me, so it is not appropriate for me to go to Fengdu."

"Ha, hahaha!" Zhao Yi pointed at the direction of the tunnel behind him and laughed, "You've been sent to those three places, and you're still worried that your clothes are not right. They're not even suitable for Feng?"

"Isn't it okay?"

“Isn’t that outrageous?”

"I have been tossing and turning, and I have never held back."

"Well, I know..."

Zhao Yi understood what the surname Li meant. From the perspective of an elder in his own family, the more noisy the child was, the more gratified he would feel, and he would think that the child had a promising future.

As the actual descendants of the great emperor, those with the surname Li are not afraid of rebellion and chaos, but are most afraid of silence.

It's even possible that the more outrageous his behavior is, the harder it would be for the emperor to get angry directly. He would have to hold it in, and then vent his anger on an unlucky guy who happened to pass by.

Zhao Yi swallowed his saliva. Is there any unlucky guy more suitable than himself?

"Mr. Li, I want to ask you something. Please tell me the truth."

"Ah."

"Did you plan my position long ago? You had to set a trap and take me to Fengdu just to find a punching bag for the emperor in advance?

When we get there, I will go to the Eighteenth Level of Hell. You and the Great Emperor will be there as a teacher and a disciple?"

“I didn’t have this idea at first.”

"Hehehehe."

"You don't have to worry too much, it's not that bad."

"The emperor's anger must have an outlet. Do you think the emperor will not be angry about what happened today?"

“I won’t necessarily be angry.”

Zhao Yi's eyes narrowed.

Li Zhuiyuan continued: "Some things cannot be explained clearly and can only be deduced based on various known conditions."

"You mean, the emperor wants to take action, but it is inconvenient for him to do so, so he might as well kill someone with someone else's knife. That's the emperor's mindset."

"you said."

Zhao Yi: "Anyway, I am not afraid of being bitten by lice. At worst, my whole family will be finished. This time, I got rid of a lot of ghost generals and ghost commanders. Those three were also sealed away. There are a lot of vacancies, which is conducive to my Zhao family to fight again underground."

"pretty good."

"It still feels unreal. Such a being has descended, and such a being has been sealed. We only set up a makeshift troupe, but we were able to invite so many great gods to perform.

Afterwards, there was a feeling that we were just pawns.”

"Aren't the four masters and apprentices in Journey to the West also chess pieces?"

"So my removal from the Book of Life and Death is considered a tribute? Haha."

As Zhao Yi laughed, his mood became depressed again: "That person was buried like this." Li Zhuiyuan: "If you miss him, you can dig him out and have a chat."

"You implanted memories of me in him?"

"Well, I'm using you as a pity example to inspire others."

"Tsk, what a pity, that brother is a good person, when the time is right, we can really dig him out and give him some fresh air."

Zhao Yi checked on the conditions of the Liang sisters.

The two sisters, who were once young and beautiful, are now seriously injured and look haggard.

Zhao Yi rubbed his fingers gently on their faces.

"Mr. Li, do you think they are stupid?"

Li Zhuiyuan didn't answer and closed his eyes.

Zhao Yi continued to talk to himself: "I lied to you, why did you really risk your lives for me?"

Li Zhuiyuan really fell asleep.

When I woke up, I found myself sitting in the passenger seat of a truck, wearing a seat belt.

It was bright outside and the scenery was nice and open.

Zhao Yi, sitting in the driver's seat, had a cigarette in his mouth and was steering the wheel skillfully, like a seasoned driver.

"Are you awake?"

"Ah."

Li Zhuiyuan rubbed his brows, but his vision was still gray and colorless.

From this perspective, everyone looks like they are reminiscing about their appearance and voice.

"Are you hungry? You slept for a long time."

"hungry."

"Then have dinner at the service area ahead."

"where are they?"

"They haven't woken up yet, but I'll give them medicine soon, so it won't be a big problem."

At this time, Zhao Yi discovered through the rearview mirror that a small truck behind him was changing lanes and trying to overtake him.

He turned on the turn signal first, then deliberately turned the steering wheel to the left, occupying the left lane and forcing the pickup truck behind to move back.

Immediately, Zhao Yi changed lanes again, and a construction section appeared ahead, turning it into a one-way street.

After entering the service area, Zhao Yi stopped the truck.

"Wait a minute, I'll go buy a lunch and come up to eat with you."

Zhao Yi got out of the car. Li Zhuiyuan saw through the rearview mirror that the small truck also entered the service area and stopped behind. Then a short middle-aged man got out of the car and chased after Zhao Yi.

Li Zhuiyuan picked up a bottle of water and was about to drink it when he saw a group of plainclothes officers coming to the service area and checking the vehicles.

Except for those who are undercover, the identities of most police officers can be identified from the details even if they are in plain clothes, especially their eyes.

I don't know who is checking what, but it will be troublesome if their truck is checked.

Because there was no cargo in the back of their truck, it was full of people, all of whom were unconscious and many of them had been "disemboweled".

However, Li Zhuiyuan was not too worried. According to past practices, worldly troubles when traveling along the river could be easily avoided.

According to the trend of plainclothes officers spreading out from the front to check here, at the latest... there will be problems with the van parked in front of him.

Sure enough, when a man walked to the side of the van and just opened the driver's door, the plainclothes officers around him rushed over and subdued him and another person sitting in the car.

The police then began to search the van and brought in a police dog.

At the same time, another group of people revealed their identities and set up guards, temporarily not allowing outsiders to approach. Even drivers of cars nearby were not allowed to get on the car at this time.

Li Zhuiyuan saw Zhao Yi coming over after buying lunch boxes. He was accompanied by a man in his thirties, and the two were talking and laughing.

Zhao Yi gave Li Zhuiyuan a look, then simply opened his lunch box with the man next to him and ate while watching the police search.

One policeman was sleepy and his eyes were red. After the suspect was caught, he had some time to rest, so he walked over to Li Zhuiyuan and lit a cigarette.

"Little boy, where is your father? He is outside, right? Don't worry, your father will be here soon."

Li Zhuiyuan took out a can of drink and handed it out.

The policeman pursed his cracked lips, touched his pocket, and pulled over a young policeman who was passing by, asked for the money, and handed it to him.

"Here you go, little one, thank you."

"No need. The police and the public are like fish and water."

"Hahaha!" The policeman laughed, but still threw the money in.

Li Zhuiyuan bent down to pick up the money and said to him, "Uncle, you need to go to the hospital to check your heart."

Judging from his facial features, he is not only overworked, but also has signs of illness in his Danfu.

The policeman didn't say anything. He opened the drink, tilted his head back and took two big gulps. Then he immediately staggered, one hand tightly clutching his chest.

"Team Zhou!"

"Captain Zhou, what's wrong with you?"

Fortunately, there were colleagues nearby who immediately supported him and sent him to another car, probably to the hospital.

Li Zhuiyuan lowered his head and took another sip of water. He was not being a pessimist just now. For some diseases, it is a blessing to discover them early and when there are people around.

After the inspection, the suspects, stolen goods and van in front were all taken away, and the service area returned to normal.

Zhao Yi got into the car and handed over the lunch box he brought for Li Zhuiyuan, who had just finished his portion.

At this time, the middle-aged man got into his car and got out again, holding two packs of cigarettes and threw them in:
"Try the cigarettes we have there."

"Okay, thanks."

Li Zhuiyuan untied the chopsticks, rubbed them together, and said, "You seem to be chatting well?"

Zhao Yi: "He's quite an interesting guy. Just because I reminded him on the way, he chased me after I got off the car and wanted to treat me to a meal. He even paid for the lunch. His name is Zhang Xinhai. He runs a small spring factory and specializes in delivering goods to car factories."

Li Zhuiyuan started to eat.

Zhao Yi put his legs out of the car window and was not in a hurry to drive away, waiting for the young man Ansheng to finish eating.

When Zhang Xinhai's pickup truck passed by and was about to leave, the two greeted each other again.

"Mr. Li, we are about to enter the mountain city. It's not far from Fengdu."

"Drive forward a little further and stop before entering Fengdu. Wait until everyone has recovered before entering Fengdu."

"Then I'll drive slower and take my time, and then help Yongzi maintain the car. I didn't dare to slow down before because I was afraid that our vehicle would have problems again. Now I'm not afraid anymore. I can walk this short distance."

"It will be all right."

"It's raining."

After Li Zhuiyuan finished his meal, Zhao Yi started the car and drove out of the service area.

The rain was getting heavier. After driving for a distance, we saw a long queue in front of us. They said there was a mudslide that buried a section of the road, and we didn't know when it would be cleared.

Taking advantage of the fact that there were not many cars behind him, Zhao Yi simply turned around and entered a town beside the provincial road.

There will be a traffic jam anyway, so instead of being stuck on the road and unable to move forward or backward, it is better to find a place nearby where you can rest conveniently.

There is a long self-built house at the head of the town. The yard is very spacious with signs saying "Open for dinner" and "Add water" on it. A bus is already parked inside.

After Zhao Yi drove the car in, he got out to negotiate with the boss, and when he came back he said:

"There were guest rooms originally, but they were reserved by the people in the bus ahead."

“It’s the same in the sleeping car.”

Zhao Yi took out a piece of paper and asked Li Zhuiyuan, "What color is this?"

Li Zhuiyuan: "Blue."

"Have you recovered, or did you remember the cover of Yuko's porn magazine in the car?"

“Not recovered.”

Zhao Yi took out a pill and handed it over: "Then take another one."

“Is this also the last one?”

"Yes, the name of this pill is 'The Last Pill', for good luck."

Watching Li Zhuiyuan swallow the pill, Zhao Yi got out of the car and went into the back of the carriage to work.

Li Zhuiyuan leaned against the car seat, looking at the rain curtain outside through the window.

The town is on the mountainside. In the blur, you can see the green in the distance. Occasionally, someone passes by with an umbrella and shouts in the rain. They also speak with Sichuan and Chongqing accents. Maybe it's because I have been to the Sichuan and Chongqing border too frequently recently, this dialect sounds really familiar.

Unable to sleep, Li Zhuiyuan took out his mobile phone and prepared to call Xue Liangliang.

Although the goal of this wave and its specific destination have already been made clear, as the starting point of this wave, it deserves some respect.

The call was connected quickly.

"Hello, Brother Liangliang, it's me."

"Xiaoyuan, have you made up your mind?"

"Well, I'm going to Fengdu. The approximate date is five days from now. Is that okay?"

"Sure. I'll help you arrange it. The new exploration team has just set out a few days ago and hasn't arrived in Fengdu yet. Once they get there, they'll have to rest for a while. It'll take about five days before they can officially start work."

Xue Liangliang gave the address and number of the receptionist, and Li Zhuiyuan wrote it down. When he was about to hang up the phone, Xue Liangliang said:
"Xiaoyuan, since you have decided to go, there is one thing I will not hide from you. Hehe, Luo Gong and I will also go to Fengdu in a few days."

"Brother Liangliang, you don't have to hide this from me."

Li Zhuiyuan knew Xue Liangliang's concerns. Perhaps it was because he realized that his reaction to going to Fengdu was not right during their last phone call, so he was deliberately avoiding the motivation for letting him go to Fengdu.

"Xiaoyuan, I don't have any other skills. I just want to avoid causing you trouble."

"It's okay, bro, you have money."

"Lack of money?"

“A few cars are missing.”

"Is it urgently needed?"

"Not urgent."

"Okay, I'll go to the car dealership to choose a car before I leave from Jinling, and then ask someone to drive it to Nantong for you. What type of car do you need?"

"It's all right."

"Then I'll buy a few more so you can choose from them."

"Okay. But don't drive the car into the village, it will scare the grandfather."

"Where are we going?"

"Stop by the river, there are people watching you there, and you don't have to worry about it being stolen."

"Well, buying a car is a major event in life. I thought about it and I would not feel comfortable if someone else bought or gave it to you. If something went wrong with the car and caused an accident on the road in the future, I would be held responsible.

How about this, I will go to the car dealership right now to choose a car, and then I will personally bring someone to drive it back, and I can personally test all the cars on the way."

"Well, Brother Liangliang, you are very thoughtful."

"Thank you, Xiaoyuan."

Xue Liangliang is very busy. Now, he has almost endless work to do. In fact, no matter how busy he is, it is no problem for him to find time to go to Nantong, but he just can't get over the hurdle in his heart. In the past, he would take a formal vacation after the project was completed, but now, taking a sneaky vacation is considered to be putting personal interests above work.

But when it comes to helping Li Zhuiyuan, it is not included in this list, and that is only natural.

After hanging up the phone, Li Zhuiyuan saw a sedan and a police car also drove into the yard. They were not here for official business, but more like a visit.

The two parties met on the second floor. An old man with half-white hair and vigorous spirit came out. After a brief conversation between the two parties, the sedan left and the police car stayed.

It was getting dark.

The host invited Zhao Yi and Li Zhuiyuan to have dinner in the house, because the main feature of this house was the earthen stove.

The car was parked in the yard, and the dining area was clearly visible, so the two of them went down to eat.

After coming in, I saw that there were eight people at the old man’s table, including old, middle-aged and young people, a very classic combination.

When Luo Gong led a team out before, it was also the same configuration, with a capable assistant and new young disciples coming in to accumulate experience.

When the old man saw that Li Zhuiyuan and Zhao Yi were the only two people there, he warmly invited them to come and eat together.

Zhao Yi looked at Li Zhuiyuan and whispered, "Judging from his appearance, he is a noble man."

Li Zhuiyuan: "Does this require facial features?"

He was surrounded by disciples and students, and there was a police car outside to ensure his safety. It was obvious.

Li Zhuiyuan did not refuse and sat over and shared the table with Zhao Yi.

The old man’s surname is Zhai, and his name is Zhai Quming.

When he introduced himself, Li Zhuiyuan knew his identity. He knew the name. In the industry, Mr. Zhai had the same status as his own teacher, Mr. Luo.

After a brief inquiry, I found out that their destination was Fengdu.

It's just that they learned about the road closure ahead early, so they came down here early to wait.

Li Zhuiyuan did not introduce himself to them. If he had known them, he would have had to take their bus, but there was a group of injured companions in the truck.

Fortunately, they didn't talk too much about their professional matters at the dinner table. They basically talked about the scenery, life, and ideals and ambitions.

Zhao Yi’s self-introduction was that both his parents had passed away, so he drove a truck with his younger brother to make a living.

As he spoke, he put his arm around Li Zhuiyuan's shoulders and shook them, proudly showing off: "My brother is smart and has excellent academic performance!"

Zhao Yi had no pressure at all when it came to saying that both his parents had passed away.

What he enjoyed more was taking advantage of Mr. Li in public.

Although Zhao Yi had never been to college, it didn't mean that he couldn't guess the identity of these people. After all, they had told him their destination themselves.

As the meal was almost over, Mr. Zhai asked the host to fry some crispy pork rice cakes, and personally delivered them to the comrades in charge of security in the police car in the yard. He had also called them down to eat together before, but they refused.

Afterwards, Mr. Zhai asked his students to squeeze together and make room for Li Zhuiyuan and Zhao Yi.

The window of the room on the second floor faces the yard and is right above the family's truck, so it doesn't cause any trouble.

Li Zhuiyuan took a shower first, then lay down on the bed and rubbed his eyes gently. It should be because of enough rest and the effect of the two "last" pills, the boy's eyes could already see some colors.

Zhao Yi: "You go to sleep first, I'll go and help them pee."

After saying that, Zhao Yi jumped out of the window.

After a while, Zhao Yi came back with Tan Wenbin on his shoulders.

"He's awake. The spirit beast in his body is really sensible. Not only did it help him to bear the hardship, but it also let him come first when healing."

Tan Wenbin said self-deprecatingly: "I woke up first and they are still sleeping. What's the use of a hammer?"

Zhao Yi: "Now that we're at the border, your accent has changed."

Tan Wenbin: "Master Zhao, can you give me some hot soup?"

Zhao Yi: "Boss Tan, you have so many requests. Just eat compressed biscuits."

Tan Wenbin: "It's really a difference in treatment. If Ah You wakes up, he will definitely not be treated like this."

Zhao Yi: "Let me be honest, Boss Tan. If you hadn't set me up, I wouldn't have come here. I didn't strangle you to death when I first found out you woke up, which was already very different from what I did."

Tan Wenbin stopped talking and started eating the compressed biscuits in silence.

He gave up the bed in the room for them to sleep on. Zhao Yi took a raincoat and went to the roof to sleep, while also keeping watch.

Below him was Mr. Zhai's room. The old man was still awake so late, discussing something with his students, as if he was in class.

Late at night.

Inside the truck, the poisonous insect crawled out from Yin Meng's collar, and Yin Meng slowly woke up at this time.

In fact, her injuries were not serious. It was just that being swept by the white light and then being forced to sacrifice put a heavy burden on her mental consciousness, and she fainted from exhaustion.

He sat up, looked around the carriage, and then instructed the poisonous insect to fly out and stand guard in front of everyone's nostrils. After it flew back and told everyone that everyone was alive, Yin Meng breathed a sigh of relief.

She first came to Runsheng, whose chest had already been bandaged with medicine. The technique was very delicate and familiar, and it was obvious that it was the work of a non-staff captain.

I reached out and touched Runsheng's face. Although he wasn't awake yet, I could already feel his warmth.

Yin Meng went to check on the conditions of the others. The two sisters were the most seriously injured. Not only were they seriously injured, but they also looked much older.

After doing all this, Yin Meng decided to get off the car and look for Xiao Yuan and the others. Since they were not in the car, they should be nearby.

When they arrived at the back of the car, it was still raining heavily outside. Yin Meng had just woken up and was still very weak, so she didn't jump down directly. Instead, she turned around and got off the car in the usual way.

As soon as her toes touched the ground, Yin Meng felt something was wrong. Why did the sound of rain suddenly disappear?
Yin Meng let go of the handrail and slowly turned around. The scene she had seen when she was standing in the car disappeared. In front of her was an endless and majestic water surface.

"Crashing... crashing..."

The sound of rippling water was heard, Yin Meng turned around again and found that the truck he had got off earlier had turned into a coffin.

The coffin was not tall and looked very familiar. It was made by her herself.

The coffin lid was not completely covered, but had a palm-sized opening. Yin Meng looked down and saw her grandfather lying inside.

The shadow covered him. Yin Meng slowly raised his head and looked above his head. His eyes gradually widened and he said in a trembling voice:

"Ancestor?"
