Chapter 36 Unrequited Love is Painful

When Lu Xingyan and Gao Yan arrived, they only saw two cars lying side by side. Wen Qing was standing at the back of the car with an umbrella. When he saw the approaching car, he hurriedly came forward to greet them.

Lu Xingyan slammed the car door shut and got out, stepping into the rain. "Where's Tang Xu?"

"In the car..."

After Yan Shiyu finished wiping her cuffs and lowered the car window, a cool breeze carrying the dampness of the rain blew in.

Tang Xu assumed he was going to call someone over, so she turned around and grabbed him, "Wait a minute!"

Yan Shiyu turned to look at her, and when she met his gaze, she quickly looked away, only repeating in a low voice, "Wait a little longer..."

She was worried about the smell left in the car, and if they came up and noticed something, it would be awkward for everyone.

Tang Xu tensed up abruptly, disregarding her incomplete recovery of strength, and pushed open her side of the car door. Yan Shiyu watched her actions quietly, without saying a word.

As soon as the car door opened, Lu Xingyan strode forward, bent down and glanced inside. His gaze met Yan Shiyu's deep eyes, but his face remained expressionless. He simply reached out to Tang Xu and helped her out of the car.

Tang Xu was still wrapped in Yan Shiyu's coat, but she didn't turn around to look at him again. She just whispered to Lu Xingyan, "Let's go to the hospital."

Lu Xingyan turned her head and glanced at the car where Yan Shiyu was before responding and helping Tang Xu into her own car.

Upon seeing this, Wen Qing returned to the car, not daring to look at the back seat, and silently started the car.

Gao Yan didn't get in the car, but said to Yan Shiyu through the car window, "I'm going to find that guy surnamed Liao."

"Notify me when you find it."

Yan Shiyu said.

On the way to the hospital, Tang Xu huddled in the passenger seat of Lu Xingyan's car, remaining motionless for a long time.

Tang Xu braved the rain and squatted down by the roadside, using Yan Shiyu's coat to shield herself from the rain.

Lu Xingyan's expression was even colder than before. After a long silence, he spoke again: "Tang Xu, Yan Shiyu's past is a complete blank to us. We don't even know what kind of person he is. Have you thought through the consequences of provoking him?"

Tang Xu took a tissue and gently wiped her wet hair. "I had no choice."
