After leaving the resort, Shen Youran asked Qiu Shaoze to go back to the city first, saying that she had some personal matters to take care of. She stood under the shade of a tree by the roadside waiting.

Ji Jinchuan and He Zimin each drove to the hotel in their own cars. Xiao Cheng drove the car out of the parking lot and Ji Jinchuan got in. He leaned back in the chair, rubbing his brows, and asked, "How did she get into the resort?"

When Xiao Cheng heard him ask this, he whispered, "Miss Shen called you before, and I answered the phone and brought her in."

Ji Jinchuan took out his cell phone and looked through the call records. There was indeed a call from her. He put the phone back into his pocket, leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes to rest.

Xiao Cheng had just driven a distance when a man suddenly jumped out from the roadside and stopped their car. Fortunately, he reacted quickly and stepped on the brakes.

Ji Jinchuan, who was sitting in the back row, held onto the back of the seat in front of him to steady himself, his brows furrowed tightly as he asked, "What's going on?"
