Chapter 403: Didn't Go Home All Night
The cell phone in his pocket rang. He took it out and saw that it was her calling. He threw the phone on the storage table. After a few dozen seconds, the noisy sound died down.

He took out a cigarette and put it in his mouth. His cell phone rang again. He glanced out of the corner of his eye and saw that it was her calling.

He let it ring, took out his lighter and lit a cigarette, lowered the car window, and the smoke rings he exhaled were blown away by the night wind.

Shen Youran knew from her tone that he didn't come back last night. She nodded: "I can't get through to him on the phone."

Shen Youran left the kitchen and sat down on the sofa next to the landline. She dialed Ji Jinchuan's number, but it was still turned off. Aunt Wu came out of the kitchen and asked, "How is it? Did you get through?"

She shook her head: "I'll go back to my room and call Assistant Short on my phone."

Wu Ma urged, "Then go quickly."

Shen Youran returned to her room and called Xiao Cheng. The phone rang for about ten seconds before being answered: "Madam, so early?"

She asked bluntly: "Assistant Xiao, he didn't come back last night, do you know where he went?"

Xiao Cheng glanced at the man who was tying his tie in front of the mirror: "Mr. Ji stayed in the hotel last night."

"Why?" When the two of them were just bed partners, Ji Jinchuan would go home no matter how late it was, so it was impossible for him to stay in the hotel for no reason.

Xiao Cheng said with a stiff upper lip: "I'm drunk."

Shen Youran thought that he was drunk during the social gathering last night and didn’t think much about it. But then he remembered that when he was at social gatherings in the past, Xiao Cheng would always send him home after drinking, but why didn’t he do that last night?
She asked again: "Were you drunk last night too?"

Xiao Cheng looked at the man in the suit jacket, and seeing that he did not express his opinion, he stammered "hmm".

Even if he is drunk, he should call home. Shen Youran didn't say what he wanted to say. As long as he is fine, it's fine: "Assistant Xiao, ask him to drink less next time he socializes. It's not good for his stomach."

After the call, Shen Youran took out a set of home clothes from the closet and put them on, then went downstairs and told Wu Ma that Ji Jinchuan was fine, he was just drunk and couldn't drive, so he stayed in the hotel.
