When Shen Youran woke up, Ji Jinchuan was gone. She listened carefully, but there was no sound coming from the bathroom.

Could it be that he had already finished washing up and was waiting for me in the restaurant downstairs?

She threw back the quilt and got out of bed, drew open the curtains, and saw that it was already bright outside. She picked up the cell phone from the bedside table and saw that it was already ten o'clock in the morning.

She turned on the alarm and saw that it had been turned off.

She was already two hours late and there was no point in rushing over, so she took off her pajamas, changed into home clothes, washed up, and went downstairs.

Hearing footsteps coming up the stairs, Aunt Wu came out of the kitchen: "Madam, did you sleep well last night?"

"Not bad." She walked over and sat down on the sofa, "Why didn't anyone call me today?"

"The young master said you were injured and asked you to rest at home." Aunt Wu washed some fresh fruit and placed it on the coffee table. "Madam, please eat some fruit first. Lunch will be ready soon."

"Just do your thing and don't worry about me." Shen Youran turned on the TV and tuned to a variety show. She ate some fruit while watching TV.

She felt dizzy when she got up just now, and it was even more obvious now. She wanted to go back to her room and lie down for a while. As soon as she stood up, she felt dizzy. Fortunately, she grabbed the armrest of the sofa in time.

She shook her head and touched her forehead with one hand. It was a little hot. She took a moment to relax, then went upstairs to her room, threw off the quilt and lay down.

After Wu Ma finished cooking and came out of the kitchen, she was no longer in the living room, only the TV was still on. When she was about to go upstairs to call her to eat, the landline phone rang.

She glanced at the caller ID and picked up the receiver: "Master?"

Ji Jinchuan stood in front of the French window in his office. It had rained all night last night, and the tall buildings outside looked brand new. A low, warm voice reached Wu Ma's ears through the receiver: "Is she up?"

Wu Ma replied, "He's already up, but he's back in his room now." He asked calmly, "Are you sick?"

She was fine when he left in the morning. He was afraid that she might have a fever last night, so he hardly slept the entire night and would touch her forehead every once in a while.

I didn't feel relieved until I saw she was fine this morning, but now I feel worried again, so I called Aunt Wu.

"Probably... no, right?" Aunt Wu wasn't sure. She had been busy and didn't notice this.

When Ji Jinchuan heard her answer, he frowned slightly and said, "Go up and take a look."

Aunt Wu went upstairs and stood outside the door, knocking gently. Hearing the knock, Shen Youran responded, "Come in."

Wu Ma pushed the door open and saw that she had fallen asleep again. She asked with concern, "Madam, are you feeling unwell?"

Shen Youran's nose was a little blocked, and he took a deep breath: "It's okay, I'll be fine after a short sleep."

Wu Ma felt a heavy nose when she heard her words. She stepped forward and touched her forehead. The temperature was obviously higher than that of an ordinary person: "Madam, you have a fever."

Shen Youran only felt her eyelids were heavy, and she uttered a soft "hmm".

Mother Wu left the room and went downstairs to the living room to call the family doctor and then called Ji Jinchuan.

Ji Jinchuan hung up the phone, picked up the car keys on the table, walked to the cloakroom, took his coat and put it on, then walked quickly out of the office.

Xiao Cheng was standing outside the door, about to knock, when the office door was suddenly opened. The man who came out said, "Boss Ji, the meeting is ready, everyone is here, and we're just waiting for you."
