Chapter 2479 Does it matter whether I have these eyes or not?
"If you insist on doing this, don't come to the hospital tomorrow." After saying that, Gu Jinchen lay down.

Hearing his words, Shen Shuna hesitated for a while, walked over to pick up the bag on the sofa, turned back to the bed again, looked at the man with his back to her, and said gently: "Then you have a good rest, I will come to see you tomorrow."

The man on the hospital bed didn't say a word. She waited for a few minutes, but seeing no response from him, she left the ward silently.

After hearing the sound of the door closing, Gu Jinchen turned around. After a while, he heard someone come in, and then a strange voice sounded.

"Mr. Gu, I'm the caregiver that Miss Shen hired for you. You can call me if you need anything."

Gu Jinchen responded: "I understand."

……

It was still early when Shen Shuna returned home. Shen Yiyi hadn't slept yet. When she saw her coming back, she ran over to her and said, "Mom."

When she called yesterday, she said she would not be back in the next few days. She suddenly came back tonight. Aunt Li was surprised for a moment and came forward to take her bag: "Yiyi was just asking me when you will be back."

Shen Shuna touched her daughter's face and took her to the sofa.

After resting for a while, she took Yi Yi upstairs to rest. After giving Yi Yi a bath, she tidied herself up and lay down on the bed.

She hadn't had a good rest for two consecutive days, so she fell asleep soon after lying down.

She even set the alarm for fear of oversleeping.

She slept very soundly that day. She woke up when the alarm rang, but Yiyi was still sleeping.

She washed up and went downstairs. Aunt Li had just gotten up.

Aunt Li went into the kitchen to make breakfast and went to the supermarket to buy vegetables.

Because we went early, the food was very fresh.

When she got home, Aunt Li had almost finished preparing breakfast.

After breakfast, she went into the kitchen and started to cook soup. She was still standing by, watching the fire. After a quick lunch at home, she took the food she brought for Gu Jinchen to the hospital.

As soon as she walked outside the ward, she heard a "click" sound coming from inside.

She hurriedly pushed the door open and rushed in, seeing Gu Jinchen lying on the edge of the bed, with broken cups on the floor, and no nurse in the ward.

She hurried forward, put the thermos bucket on the table, and looked at the man on the bed: "Do you want some water? I'll pour it for you."

After saying that, she saw that the back of Gu Jinchen's hands, which were grabbing the sheets, were covered with red spots and blisters in some places.

Her expression changed slightly: "Did your hand get burned?"

Gu Jinchen's face was gloomy and ugly. He clenched the sheets tightly with both hands, and the blood vessels on the back of his hands almost burst.

Shen Shuna hurried out of the ward and when she came back, she was holding the burn medicine she asked the nurse for.

She took out a cup from the cabinet and poured him a glass of water: "It's a little hot, drink it later, I'll apply the medicine to you first."

She didn't care about the broken glass under her feet, she pulled over a stool and sat down, carefully applying medicine to the burned areas.

Gu Jinchen had a tense face the whole time. After a long silence, he curled his lips and said self-deprecatingly: "Am I useless? I need help even for something as trivial as drinking a glass of water."

She paused as she applied the medicine: "You will definitely feel uncomfortable at first, but it will get better slowly."

He smiled coldly: "I'm used to it. Does it matter whether I have these eyes or not?"

Shen Shuna thought he had misunderstood her words and explained, "That's not what I meant."

His smile was a little awkward: "I know, that's just what I feel."
