Gu Jinchen let go of her and sat down. He pressed his heavy brows with one hand and pursed his thin lips.

Shen Youran hesitated for a moment and sat down again.

The waiter brought the dishes into the box and placed them on the table one by one. He glanced at the two of them. Both of them looked very unhappy, as if there was smoke of war lingering in the air.

After the waiter left the box, the depressing atmosphere in the box was suffocating, and both of them remained silent.

The two of them left the private room one after the other. Outside the room stood a waiter ready to serve. Gu Jinchen glanced at the waiter and said, "Put it on the bill." The waiter said humbly, "Yes, Mr. Gu."

Gu Jinchen sent Shen Youran back to the Shen residence. It was not convenient for him to see her in, so he stopped outside the carved iron gate.

As soon as she got out of the car, Shen Yaoting's car stopped beside her. Her heart skipped a beat and she clutched the bag tightly in her hand.

The car window rolled down, and Shen Yaoting's serious face appeared before her. Meeting his deep and sharp eyes, she felt guilty as if she had done something wrong. She subconsciously pursed her lips and looked at him nervously.

Shen Yaoting glanced at her, then looked at the man in the driver's seat, his eyes becoming increasingly deep.

Shen Yaoting was a shrewd man. Afraid that he would figure out something, Shen Youran made up an excuse: "I happened to meet my brother-in-law on my way home from get off work, and he gave me a ride."

The driver started the engine and drove the car into the house.
