After the call ended, Shen Youran put the phone back into her bag: "Let's go to Times Square."

It only took ten minutes to reach Times Square. Assistant Tang stayed in the car while Shen Youran got out.

There is a pool in the middle of the square, and the fountain is like flowers scattering from heaven. Because of the cold weather, there are few people in the square.

She put her hands in her coat pockets and walked slowly towards the fountain, then sat down by the pool. Occasionally someone walked past her.

In the car not far away, Assistant Tang was paying attention to Shen Youran's surroundings to see if there were any suspicious people.

Shen Youran sat in the square for three hours. At half past eleven, she stood up and walked around casually to stretch her stiff and numb legs.

She felt a little thirsty, and seeing a hot drink shop opposite, she walked across the street.

Just after crossing the road, the cell phone in her pocket rang. She took it out and answered it. It was Assistant Tang calling.

"Director Lin, a man just followed you across the street. He was about 1.8 meters tall and wore a hat and a mask. We were too far away to see his eyes, so I'm not sure if he was the person you were talking about."

Shen Youran was afraid that the other party would notice her if she turned back, so she kept walking forward: "Just give it a try and you'll know if it's true."

After hanging up the phone, she walked into the hot drink shop, bought a glass of lemonade, paid the bill, took it, held it in her palm, drank it, and walked to a less crowded place.

When Assistant Tang saw that the man had followed her, she realized something was wrong, pushed the door open, got out of the car, and walked across the street. However, cars kept passing by, so she could only stand by the road and wait.

She saw Shen Youran turn into a box, and the man behind her did the same.

After entering the alley, Shen Youran noticed the movement behind her. She was holding a mobile phone in her right hand hidden in her coat. She couldn't look back and wanted to call Assistant Tang to ask if the man had caught up with her.

Just as I was about to take out my phone, I heard a very light sound behind me, the sound of someone stepping on a plastic bag. The alley was a little dark, and the small shops on both sides were closed. Occasionally one or two were open, and the faint lights were like fireflies.

She quickened her pace, and so did the person behind her. Judging from Shen Wen's footsteps, he was a man.

The man was facing away from the light and was wearing a hat and a mask, so his appearance could not be seen at all. One could only vaguely see that his eyes, exposed outside, were as ferocious as a wolf.

His neck was strangled so tightly that it was difficult for him to breathe, let alone speak. She nodded, slowly took her hand out of her pocket, and stuffed a locator into his coat pocket.

The man pulled out a fruit knife from his pocket, put the tip of the knife against her back, and ordered her to walk out of the alley.

Seeing Assistant Tang coming towards her, Shen Youran felt a little worried. The man behind her had followed her for some time, and she didn't know if he recognized Assistant Tang.

Assistant Tang saw Shen Youran walking towards her, followed by the man from before. The two of them were very close to each other and behaved intimately. She vaguely guessed that Shen Youran was being coerced.
