Chapter 433: Lost Pearl
Chapter 433: Lost Pearl
"He, I have reconfirmed the information you asked me to look up. This is material provided by the KGB in North America. We have not verified it. You can judge its authenticity yourself." Christine's voice came from the communicator.
"There is indeed a person named Castro in the Cuban revolutionary army, but he was mainly active eight years ago. He participated in the Santiago Uprising in 1953, and was imprisoned by the government as a political prisoner in 1955. He then sneaked into Mexico to organize the resistance army..."
"When he returned to Cuba, he already had considerable prestige within the revolutionary army. If nothing unexpected happened, he would probably become the real No. 1 after overthrowing the old government."
"However, something interesting happened. In 1959, the top leaders of the revolutionary army, including Castro, suddenly disappeared. When the revolutionary army overthrew the government again, a man named Joshua Herrera stepped into the spotlight again."
"Internal coup?" He Chi expressed his guess.
"This is the only possibility I can think of." The French woman opposite gave her own judgment.
"How much do you know about the children around me?" He Chi looked at the little girl who was reading a picture album in the corner.
"It's a long story." Christine cleared her throat.
"This revolutionary leader was a very charming man before he disappeared. Intelligence records show that there are currently five women who had romantic relationships with him, including a progressive young woman, a noble lady, a female warrior, a female teacher, and even a female intelligence officer... In short, he is a jack of all trades."
"Oh~ awesome guy." He Chi whistled and commented sincerely.
"Awesome? Really? I remember there's a guy here who seems to be a little better with women..." Christine on the opposite side suddenly said sarcastically.
"Um, Benjamin? Okay, you're right, please continue." He Chi simply changed the subject.
There was a pause on the other end of the phone, and He Chi could even feel that Christine rolled her eyes during this moment.
"Okay, I'll continue." The female intelligence officer brought the topic back to "Alina Fernandez Revuelta, Castro's daughter."
"Technically, her birth was an accident."
"Her mother, Natalia Cleves, was a married lady of Cuban upper society. When she was young, she had a brief relationship with the guerrilla leader and gave birth to Alina."
"This lady's husband is a famous local cardiologist. Faced with this situation, he treated her as his own daughter and raised the then young Alina without any grudges. Now, for unknown reasons, she has fallen into your hands..."
"He, do you know what this means?" Christine's voice was more formal than ever.
"According to the information we have so far, it seems that some people in Cuba still support the missing Castro, and now this support is likely to be transferred to his children. In other words, this is another [princess] who may be the key to changing the situation in Cuba and even the world."
Looking at the girl who seemed still confused, He Chi thought for a moment.
"Sinir, I need your help this time..."
-
The next day, a port in southern Florida.
At ten o'clock in the morning, He Chi took the little girl into a dark pub.
The pub probably hadn't opened yet, and the only people in the room were a bartender wiping glasses and two people who looked like bodyguards.
The moment he stepped through the door, several malicious glances shot over, first targeting He Chi's waist, and then scanning the little girl's face.
Alina couldn't help but tighten her grip around the Oriental man's arm.
"Sorry, it's not business hours now."
"I'm not here to drink." He Chi said to the bartender, pressing a twenty-dollar bill on the table. "What would you like to order?" The bartender, who was wiping the wine glass, walked in front of He Chi and asked slowly. With a slight movement of his hand, the bills on the table disappeared.
"A serving of barley and saltfish porridge, a glass of juice, and I have some soft goods I'd like to sell." The Oriental man rubbed his fingers together and made a special gesture.
The bartender probably misunderstood. He glanced at the thin Alina and said with some disdain, "Hey, man, this is not a strip club, and we don't want people so young."
Bang! The sound of an object hitting the table interrupted the bartender's words. A diamond ring lay quietly on the wooden table.
The bartender's attention was instantly drawn to the ring. He picked up the ring with a handkerchief, wiped it gently, and looked at it in the sunlight, confirming that it was a diamond ring of very good quality.
"Good stuff, how much do you have?" the bartender asked in a low voice, making a subtle gesture to the thugs beside him.
"I have some. How much?"
"Sorry, we don't have that much cash here. You can wait a moment."
"I'm leaving by boat tomorrow, so I don't have that much time."
"It'll be quick, Jason, go raise some money, quickly." The bartender winked and the bodyguard walked towards the door.
However, the tall and strong thug did not actually go out, but used both hands to pull down the rolling door.
"Do you want to hand over everything yourself, or do you want us to suffer and do it ourselves?" the bartender said grimly.
"Brother, don't be like this. I don't want to cause trouble. I'll give you the things." He Chi raised his hands and threw a small black bag on the table.
The bartender grinned and reached out to take it.
boom!
Fire flew, a small explosion went off in his hand, and the room filled with smoke.
Boom!!! Boom!!! Boom!!!
The shutter door made two loud noises when it was closed. Passersby looked at it in confusion, shook their heads, and quickly left.
The ventilation system was turned on, the smoke in the room was sucked out, and the vision became clear.
The two bodyguards' heads hit the sunken hole in the rolling door, and their lives or deaths were unknown. The bartender's right hand was bleeding, and he fell to the ground, wailing.
He Chi put away the ring, picked up a severed finger from the ground, and placed it in front of the bartender. "If possible, I don't want to solve the problem with violence. According to my experience, this finger can be restored if it is treated within 20 minutes. Let's continue with the transaction?"
The bartender stared at the man opposite him with sweat all over his forehead, with resentment in his eyes, but facing his severed finger, he still nodded vigorously.
"A wise choice. If you had the same attitude when you walked in, we might have had a very pleasant exchange."
"Then let's go to the question and answer session. This girl came here from Cuba about half a month ago on a smuggling boat. I know you have connections. I want to know which boats brought her here at that time?"
