The sixth-floor corridor trembled continuously. The enormous creature had nothing but the humans before it; they were flesh, the thing it craved most.

It's going to eat them.

Just as it leaped up and reached out to grab the tiny human, the human snapped his fingers.

The next second, countless black liquids surged out from Lin Bei's shadow, forming a thick liquid wall almost instantly, blocking Lin Bei from the enormous creature.

The enormous object crashed heavily into the black liquid wall, half of its body sinking into it. It tried to pull itself away, but found that the black liquid wall seemed to have an attraction, firmly holding it in and even pulling it further into the wall.

The enormous creature roared and struggled, causing tremors not only on the sixth floor but also throughout the entire building.

"Meat, meat!"

Although the colossal creature was transformed from a human, its thinking had long since departed from that of a human.

Its mind is now filled with nothing but delicious meat, and it can't think of anything else.

Even though it was now trapped inside a wall made of black liquid, it still instinctively struggled, trying to get over the wall to find the humans behind it.

But clearly, this behemoth was no match for Lin Bei.

Lin Bei felt the tremor beneath his feet and injected more power into the black liquid. The black liquid immediately surged and completely swallowed the enormous object.

The corridor, which had been shaking violently just moments before, suddenly fell silent.

The sixth floor fell into a deathly silence. Lin Bei moved his wrists, raised his hand, and summoned Riot, Massacre, Ao Run, and Medusa.

When four black figures of different shapes and colors appeared in front of Lin Bei, they all knelt down on one knee.

Lin Bei raised his chin: "Once this layer is cleaned up, we'll clean up the minions on each subsequent layer."

After saying that, Lin Bei turned around and walked towards the fifth floor.

Medusa and her companions nodded slightly upon hearing this, then transformed into shadows and sped off into the depths of the sixth floor.

Lee Eun-wook, who had been watching this scene, was completely terrified.

Just as Lin Bei was about to walk around her downstairs, Li Enyu screamed and grabbed Lin Bei's wrist excitedly: "Wow, what did you just do? You killed such a huge monster? You're amazing! Who are you? No, no, are you human or a god? You were sent by a god to save humanity, right?"

Lin Bei easily broke free from Li Enyu and continued walking downstairs. His calm voice echoed in the stairwell: "I am just a human. Killing monsters is easy for me. You will too in the future."

He wasn't wrong. In the second and third seasons of "Sweet Home," Lee Eun-wook grew rapidly and was even able to walk alone on a ground covered with monsters.

Lin Bei quickly arrived at the fifth floor, where the fire doors were closed.

Just as Lin Bei reached out and pushed him away, Li Enyu jumped down the last step.

In a flash, a dark figure emerged from the crack in the door and attacked Li Enyu.

Lin Bei was even faster; he raised his hand and flicked out a black liquid that tightly enveloped Li Enyu.

The dark figure crashed into the black liquid, and finding that it had not attacked anyone, it quickly retreated.

Lin Bei could see clearly that it was a section of a monster's arm.

He narrowed his eyes slightly, roughly knowing what kind of monster was hiding on this floor. He raised his hand to retract the black liquid around Li Enyu, and Lin Bei casually said, "Stay here and don't go in." Then he stepped into the fifth floor and closed the fire door behind him.

The corridor fell into dead silence.

But Lin Bei's ears were sharp, and he still heard a soft murmur coming from around the corner in the distance.

"I can't see... I can't see..."

After listening carefully for a while, Lin Bei knew which monster it was.

In fact, this is only considered to have a significant role in the original storyline.

The original form of this monster was a corporate slave who was oppressed by his boss every day, constantly being lectured and having to listen to his boss's complaints almost 24 hours a day.

Perhaps the pain fueled his desires, turning him into a monster with exceptionally keen hearing.

However, half of his head was cut off, and everything above his nose was gone, which is why he keeps saying that he can't see.

For Lin Bei, dealing with monsters was not a difficult task. Compared to killing monsters, he was more curious about the strange monsters that had never appeared in the original story.

Everyone has different desires and wants, and because of these differences, the monsters they become are also different.

Lin Bei walked slowly down the corridor. His movements were so light that even the monster couldn't detect them until he stopped at the corner.

On the other side of the corner, the monster crouched not far away, its long, thin ears twitching as if trying to catch a sound.

Behind it was a tightly closed door.

It was still murmuring, completely unaware that Lin Bei was approaching.

A smile flickered in Lin Bei's eyes, and he deliberately clapped his hands.

The next second, the monster's arm suddenly stretched out, and its palm turned into sharp spikes, attacking him fiercely.

Lin Bei made no defensive move, letting the monster's long arm stab at him.

However, when the long arm pierced Lin Bei's chest, it made a crisp "clang" sound.

The spikes failed to pierce Lin Bei's Kryptonian physique. Instead, the monster let out a painful howl, as if the attack had injured it.

When the monster retracted its arm and turned it back into a hand, Lin Bei noticed that the monster's wrist was twisted and hanging at its side in a strange posture.

Lin Bei scoffed. It seems the monsters of this world are nothing special; their bodies are still fragile, and they've already been damaged to this extent.

No wonder they haven't really posed a threat to humans.

Lin Bei sighed softly; the slight noise made the monster want to attack again.

But the attack just now seemed to have made it wary; its other hand turned into spikes, but it didn't stab at it immediately.

"That's it."

Lin Bei uttered a single sentence, raised his hand towards the monster, and chanted a spell.

"The flames are blazing."

As soon as he finished speaking, the monster seemed to sense the danger and attacked Lin Bei without hesitation.

Just as the spikes were about to pierce Lin Bei again, a huge fireball appeared out of thin air and roared as it pounced on the monster crouching on the ground.

Even though the monster was agile, it couldn't withstand Lin Bei's close-range use of the "Blazing Flames" magic.

The monster was instantly engulfed by a fireball. It looked like it could be burned easily, and huge flames shot into the sky, hitting the ceiling and scorching it black.

The monsters began to scream and roll around. They could feel the pain, but no matter how much they rolled around, it was no use.

Gradually, the monster's screams grew fainter and its struggles lessened until the screams abruptly ceased, and its charred body on the ground remained motionless.

Lin Bei watched the monster burn to death until it was completely dead. Only then did he wave his hand, summoning a gentle breeze to extinguish the flames. Lin Bei put his hands behind his back, preparing to turn and leave, when suddenly the door behind the monster opened.

A weak voice came through: "Excuse me... can you save me?"

Lin Bei paused, turned his head, and was somewhat surprised.

It turns out to be the male lead, Cha Hyun-soo.

Why is he still in his room?

Shouldn't they have already gone downstairs with the others?
He looked weak and powerless, covered in cold sweat, and his clothes were stained with blood. It seemed that he was already showing signs of turning into a monster.

Anyway, this guy is lucky and has the protagonist's halo, so Lin Bei didn't refuse. He just casually said, "Stay close, I don't care if you die."

Cha Hyun-soo quickly nodded, picked up the luggage he had prepared, and followed Lin Bei toward the stairwell.

When he got to the stairwell, Cha Hyun-soo was surprised to find a girl standing there. He was startled, but breathed a sigh of relief when he realized she was a person.

Lee Eun-woo was also startled when she saw Cha Hyun-soo. At this time, she did not know what characteristics would appear when a monster was transformed. She just curiously walked around to Lin Bei's side and said, "You are indeed kind-hearted. You even saved someone. You must have been sent by the gods."

Lin Bei was too lazy to explain to Li Enyu, and just continued walking downstairs with a listless expression.

Lin Bei only dealt with some key monsters on each floor; the rest that wouldn't attack him, he would leave to Medusa and the others to handle.

But for some reason, he would encounter people who were still alive on each floor, and they were all key characters from the original story.

For example, the uncle in the wheelchair, and the two children that Cha Hyun-soo should have saved.

Upon reaching the first floor, Lin Bei discovered that the area had been deliberately blocked off.

He knew it was done by other residents, but he didn't think there was anything wrong with it. He snapped his fingers, and the black liquid poured out, carrying away all the obstructing items.

Just as the noise came from here, the resident on the other side noticed something was wrong and immediately notified all the residents to come over.

Just as they nervously raised their weapons and stared at the fire door, the door was pushed open, and Lin Bei led a group of people out.

Lin Bei glanced at everyone, then looked indifferently at Li Enhe, Li Enyu's older brother, and the leader of the survivors on the first floor: "The living are all here. I've dealt with the monsters up there. You can send people up to search for supplies."

Lee Eun-hyuk was taken aback, seemingly doubting Lin Bei's words.

The survivors on the first floor also looked at Lin Bei with suspicion.

They'd seen monsters before; when they first came down, the monsters outside tried to break in and killed many people. It was only by working together that they drove the monsters away.

Even now, the monster is still guarding outside, and they have to send people to keep an eye on it every day to prevent it from breaking in.

Monsters are difficult to deal with, so how come this person talks about them as easily as eating?
He's definitely bragging.

Just as everyone was doubting Lin Bei, Li Enyu, who was next to Lin Bei, sneered and mocked while chewing on a lollipop: "If you haven't seen it, don't question it. If it weren't for Lin Bei, would any of us have survived? Show some respect. Lin Bei is a messenger of the gods. If you don't believe me, ask the others around me if Lin Bei has superpowers!"

The others around Lin Bei nodded in agreement.

Lee Eun-hyuk narrowed his eyes slightly. He didn't look at Lin Bei, but instead looked at his sister.

He knew his sister's personality well; she was arrogant and proud, and she would never have shown such respect to a stranger if she didn't have real ability.

Lee Eun-hyuk didn't say anything, he just waved his hand, signaling everyone to disperse.

But some people were unhappy.

That's Jin Shixian, the owner of the supermarket on the first floor.

With so many people coming again, his supermarket's resources will be consumed again. Those goods were purchased with his own hard-earned money. Why should he let these people eat and drink for free now?
Jin Shi rolled his eyes, about to say something to frame the group for being infected with the virus that turned them into monsters, when he heard footsteps coming from the stairwell again.

Everyone turned to look, dumbfounded.

Four figures dressed entirely in black descended the dimly lit staircase.

And judging from their appearance, two hideous non-human monsters and two alluring women, without exception, they are definitely not human.

Where can you find someone with black smoke billowing from their body, whose entire body is black?
Everyone was startled, thinking it was a monster, and they all screamed and took defensive actions.

Lin Bei glanced up and asked casually, "Is it clean?"

Medusa nodded slightly, and then the four of them obediently turned into black liquid and returned to Lin Bei's shadow.

This scene was so shocking that everyone's gaze towards Lin Bei instantly changed.

What is this?
This is an ability that only monsters possess.

Jin Shixian jumped to the back of the crowd, shouting, "Look at what this is! What did you bring down here? It's not human! How could anyone have this kind of ability? It's a monster! A monster! How dare you stand next to it? Get out of here! You'll all get infected with its virus!"

The survivors on the first floor were frightened by Jin Shixian's shouts and instinctively wanted to retreat.

Lin Bei's group, on the other hand, remained calm and unperturbed. After all, Lin Bei was their savior, and they wouldn't be so heartless as to betray their benefactor.

Seeing the tense situation, everyone's eyes were focused on Lin Bei.

Lin Bei, however, remained quite calm.

He walked slowly forward, and with each step he took, the survivors in front of him hurriedly took a step back.

As soon as Lin Bei reached the middle of the first-floor hall, the survivors immediately turned around and surrounded him with their weapons.

Lin Bei glanced at them, chuckled, and said indifferently.

"At a time like this, you still have the mind to deal with me? Have you forgotten that the underground parking lot can also lead to the first floor?"

Indeed, as soon as Lin Bei arrived on the first floor, he immediately used his divine sense to scan the area.

The passage leading to the basement level is on the other side of the lobby on the first floor. There are no guards there now, and the only barrier is a simple pile of debris.

The monster was very strong; it could easily overturn the fire door and the clutter in front of it with just a little force.

Just as Jin Shixian was shouting at him, the monster on the first basement level heard the noise, broke open the fire door, and sneaked into the first basement level through the entrance.

And it wasn't just this one; several other monsters were also heading towards the entrance to the basement level.

The commotion on the first floor was too great.

Just as Lin Bei was walking, the monster had already climbed up into the ceiling above them and was quietly watching everyone below.

Lin Bei knew about that monster.

It was a monster that had transformed into a spider, and no one who was targeted by it could survive.

The people in the underground parking lot all became its food, bound and hung upside down by its spider silk, until its spider silk melted into liquid and was sucked up bit by bit.

Lin Bei's words echoed in the ears of the survivors on the first floor.

They exchanged bewildered glances, then Jin Shi glared at him angrily: "Don't try to change the subject! We've already sealed off the entrance to the underground parking lot. You monster, get him out of here! Do you want to die?!" (End of Chapter)
