Chapter 479 The Power of Heavenly Cry

Chapter 479 The Power of Heavenly Cry
Anzhou City.

Ying Mansion.

After leaving Po Ri Peak, Ying Xun and his group did not rest nearby, but went directly back to the Ying family in Anzhou.

Knowing that he was coming back, Zhao Huaien, Granny Wushuang, and others waited early in the morning until the carriage slowly stopped on the long street outside the Ying Mansion at three quarters past 5 pm.

The moment Ying Xun appeared, Xiao Bianzi, Mingxin and Minghui, along with the Third Tong who had recently been sent there, rushed to him and shouted excitedly.

"Master, Mistress."

"Big brother, Sister Youruo."

Besides the four maids, a young woman also rushed over, but she was heading towards Bu Jingyun.

"Brother Bu, are you alright?"

She looked concerned and clung tightly to Bu Jingyun's arm, as if afraid he would run away.

"fine."

Although it was only two short words, one could clearly feel the gentleness in Bu Jingyun's tone, showing that his attitude towards the newcomer was completely different from his attitude towards others.

Moreover, he could feel that he stiffened noticeably when the girl hugged him.

Ying Xun turned his head and looked over, smiling with some surprise, "Miss Yu, it's been a long time! What are you doing here?"

"Young Master Ying."

Yu Chuchu bowed respectfully before explaining, "When I left Baijian Manor, my father sent a message asking me to come to Anzhou City. I didn't want to be a burden to Brother Bu, so I came with Brother Ao."

Just as we were talking about Aotian, Aotian's voice rang out.

"Master."

Ying Xun smiled and nodded, then led You Ruo and the others toward the main gate.

"Master of the household, mistress of the house."

Seeing Zhao Huaien bowing, You Ruo nodded with a slight blush. Ying Xun patted his shoulder and smiled, "Thank you for your hard work. Is everyone alright?"

"Thank you for your concern, Master Lao. We are all well."

"Good, good. Let me introduce you. This is the First Evil Emperor..."

After introductions and greetings, the group entered the Ying Mansion compound.

in the hall.

Ying Xun and You Ruo sat at the head of the table. After chatting for a while, he asked, "Have you found out anything about Wuming's situation?"

"He and a group of martial arts masters were transferred to the capital and are now imprisoned in the newly built Wushen Jue Palace. Our people have infiltrated and are trying to rescue him," Zhao Huaien replied.

Ying Xun nodded and continued, "What about my father-in-law?"

Upon hearing this, You Ruo was immediately startled, and her previously indifferent expression turned extremely serious.

Besides her, Bu Jingyun's expression also changed.

"He is also in the capital, living in seclusion in Taiping Village outside the city. Because he has been in contact with Di Shitian, Di Shitian may have left some kind of trick on him, so we have not been in contact with him. However, the God of Catching occasionally goes to check on him."

"Is my dad alright?"

"Reporting to Madam, everything is fine. I heard that when the God of Arrest visited him recently, he was urging the God of Arrest to get married and have children."

Upon hearing this, You Ruo couldn't help but laugh.

On the other hand, Bu Jingyun's face turned cold, and a murderous intent flashed in his eyes.

Ying Xun noticed it, but said nothing.

Given Bu Jingyun's hatred for Xiong Ba, if Xiong Ba hadn't died, or if You Ruo and Bu Shen hadn't died at his hands, Bu Jingyun would never have been able to let go of the past.

After all, in the original story, it was the constable Long Teng who died at his hands first, and then You Ruo who died at his hands, that made him give up on killing Xiong Ba for revenge.

Unfortunately, Xiong Ba did not have a change of heart after the deaths of his children. Instead, he became a great demon and eventually died at the hands of Feng and Yun.

However, now that he's here, some things naturally have to change.

At the very least, Xiong Ba, the father-in-law, must have a complete awakening, and to make Xiong Ba have a complete awakening, it is probably necessary to rely on the power of Tian Ku.

So, after dinner, Ying Xun went into seclusion.

The Heavenly Cry Scripture was already before him; if he wished, he could find the first character left by Cangjie in it at any time.

Ying Xun held his breath and concentrated for a while, adjusting his mind to the best state before opening the Heavenly Cry Scripture.

The Heavenly Cry Scripture is filled with ancient pictographic characters. Even with Ying Xun's knowledge, he had many questions about these characters and could not understand their meaning.

But he didn't care.

Each of these words may have extremely important meaning.

But for Ying Xun, all he needed to do was find the first character left by Cangjie in the world.

He turned the pages one by one, and even with Ying Xun's keen eyesight, he read very slowly, afraid of missing a single word.

When he turned to the ninth page, his eyes were immediately drawn to a single word.

The character was full of ancient and mysterious meaning, attracting the most attention.

It looks no different from other characters, yet it gives people the feeling that it is overflowing with endless divine light.

"Is this the first character since the beginning of time?"

When Ying Xun's gaze fell upon this character, although he still could not comprehend its true meaning, his primordial spirit seemed to uncontrollably detach from his body, merging with all things in the sky, the nine heavens and the ten earths, into one.

At the same time, strange phenomena suddenly appeared in Anzhou City.

The area around Anzhou City suddenly became dark, and then a beam of light burst forth above the Ying Mansion, like a pillar of light that reached the heavens and the earth, illuminating the nine heavens and ten earths and breaking through the darkness.

When the Mud Bodhisattva was reading scriptures on Broken Sun Peak, a bright light pierced the sky. The villagers living nearby were amazed by this strange phenomenon, and that's how Broken Sun Peak got its name.

In a daze, images flashed before Ying Xun's eyes.

The first thing that appeared before his eyes was a burly figure from behind. This person was dressed in animal skins, had strange features, and a mysterious appearance. His eyes were like the sun and moon hanging in the sky, filled with endless wisdom.

Even such a wise man was full of worries.

He was worried about humanity.

Humans are weak, and compared to other races, knowledge is their greatest weapon.

While knowledge can be passed down, it may lose its original meaning or even be completely lost through oral transmission.

Is there a way to record knowledge for future generations to refer to?

After pondering for an unknown period of time, the wise man named Cangjie suddenly had a flash of inspiration.

If we could create a set of characters that become part of knowledge, with each character representing a meaning and different characters combining to represent even more meanings, wouldn't that allow knowledge to be passed down through generations?

After pondering for nine days, Cangjie raised his arm and wrote in the air, finally creating the first character. When this first character since the beginning of time appeared, the sky suddenly changed color, and a gloomy cloud covered the heavens and earth, as if all the gods and spirits in the world were grieving and weeping.

Besides the wailing of ghosts and gods, there were also the cries of human suffering and the lamentations of all things.

Once writing is created, knowledge can be passed down, and the already growing human race will become the absolute ruler of this world. The living space of ghosts, gods, immortals, Buddhas, birds, and beasts will be squeezed.

For humans, if writing is not used to convey moral principles, it will become a weapon for despicable people to attack others. After all, writing can record divine skills and ultimate techniques for killing. However, sometimes even the most unparalleled skills are no match for a pen.

This is the reason why scholars kill without using a knife.

In short, the power of this first character far exceeded Cangjie's imagination.

Because this character is the origin of all writing, all subsequent characters will evolve from this character.

Therefore, this first character since the beginning of time can enable those who see it to communicate with heaven and earth and to glimpse all the secrets recorded in writing.

After creating this character, Cangjie became omniscient because of it, and at the same time, because he understood all the secrets of the world, he shed two lines of blood tears.

He was weeping for the great calamities that would follow in the future.

Because he saw in this word all the disasters that would befall humanity in the future, yet he was powerless to stop them.

Therefore, Cangjie hid the first character in the world in the Heavenly Cry Scripture, leaving a backup plan for all living beings.

It is hoped that in the future, the person who opens the Heavenly Cry Scripture and sees the first word in the universe will be able to save humanity from countless calamities.

The scene before Ying Xun's eyes kept changing, and his vision followed the constant shifts of the Heavenly Cry Scripture.

He seemed to have become one with the Heavenly Crying Scripture, experiencing thousands of years of history. Countless scenes flashed before his eyes, and those scenes were deeply etched into his mind.

Unfortunately, after thousands of years, no one has discovered the Heavenly Cry Scripture. After being passed down through many hands, the Heavenly Cry Scripture was mistaken for a Buddhist scripture and mixed in with thousands of other Buddhist scriptures.

Unfortunately, people at that time had no interest in Buddhism, let alone studying Buddhist scriptures, so the Heavenly Cry Sutra was lost without anyone noticing.

It wasn't until the early Tang Dynasty that a monk who was extremely fond of studying Buddhist scriptures finally appeared.

This monk was none other than the famous Xuanzang.

Xuanzang loved studying Buddhism from a young age, but the more Buddhist scriptures he read, the more he saw the suffering of all living beings, and the more doubts he had in his heart.

To resolve his doubts, he traveled to India to seek out the more profound Buddhist teachings.

After returning from India, Xuanzang mainly engaged in the translation of Buddhist scriptures. It was during this process that he inadvertently discovered the Heavenly Crying Sutra.

When Xuanzang saw the Heavenly Cry Sutra, he also gained the supernatural power of foresight because it was the first word since the beginning of time.

Having already attained enlightenment, he, like Cangjie, was overcome with sorrow upon learning of all the great calamities in the world, and shed tears of blood…

Because the Heavenly Cry Sutra was so miraculous, Xuanzang worried that it might fall into the hands of evil people and cause unimaginable consequences. He also couldn't bear to destroy it, so before his death, he hid the Heavenly Cry Sutra in the Ten Thousand Years of Tears Spring on Po Ri Peak.

If someone can find this place, then... he may be the one destined to save humanity from this calamity.

After Xuanzang hid the Heavenly Cry Sutra on Broken Sun Peak, it took hundreds of years for it to be read by its third reader, the Mud Bodhisattva.

After more than twenty years, the Heavenly Cry Scripture finally fell into Ying Xun's hands.

In the midst of the Heavenly Cry, Ying Xun experienced thousands of years, not only seeing the three people who had read the Heavenly Cry, but also witnessing a series of incredibly stunning scenes from history.

For example, four thousand years ago, a mythical beast, a dragon turtle, bled profusely during a great calamity, and its blood was accidentally swallowed by a young man.

From then on, a mysterious master appeared in the world who was immortal and could laugh at the world.

For example, before the "sword" was just a crude sword-shaped weapon, there was a young man named Xiao Shi who, on a stormy night with thunder and lightning, created the world's first sword technique.

After this, the sword and the magic will work together to create immense power, capable of eradicating all evil and heresy and sweeping away all injustice.

Because the young master created the first sword technique, he was given the honorary title of "Great Swordsman" by the people of that time.

Afterwards, the great swordsman tirelessly studied and created various different sword techniques in just ten years, and even established the world's first sword sect - the Sword Sect.

Later, the great swordsman sensed a great calamity and forged a sword for it—a hero's sword that could save all people from suffering and could only be used by a hero.

To prevent the Hero Sword from being lonely, he forged another Hero Sword, which accompanied him for a thousand years, but in the end, only one Hero Sword remained in the world.

For example, his father, Qin Shi Huang Ying Zheng, unified the six kingdoms and the Central Plains. He was a great emperor with great talent and ambition. In order to achieve immortality, he summoned alchemists from all over the world to concoct an elixir of immortality.

Among these alchemists, one named Xu Fu was most valued by the First Emperor. After Xu Fu proposed that the blood of a divine beast be used as a medicinal ingredient, the First Emperor dispatched elite Qin troops to him to surround and kill the phoenix, one of the four auspicious beasts.

Although the phoenix perished, Xu Fu carried its blood essence to Japan.

For example: Ying Xun had once viewed the scene.

Guan Yu, with his red face and green robes, wielded the Green Dragon Crescent Blade. His unparalleled sword intent soared to the heavens. Though he did not move, he had already unleashed a breathtakingly beautiful and incredibly fast attack that swept away a colossal city capable of holding hundreds of thousands of soldiers.

In addition, there is the story of Bodhidharma in Shaolin Temple, who observed the changes in the weather and created the Maha Boundless.

Three hundred years ago, the ancestor of the Wu family, Wu Wudi, fought a ten-day and ten-night battle at Yundingtian.

……

"Whoo~"

After an unknown amount of time, Ying Xun finally emerged from the endless illusions of the Heavenly Crying Sutra and let out a long breath.

"As expected of the Heavenly Cry Scripture, which contains the first word of heaven and earth, I have gained such good fortune after only reading it once."

Feeling the growth of his primordial spirit, Ying Xun couldn't suppress the joy on his face.

Although he only watched it once, his primordial spirit traversed thousands of years, witnessing the mysteries of this world and elevating his spiritual realm to an unprecedented level.

In addition, Ying Xun saw many, many divine skills and unique techniques.

For example: Xiao Sanxiao's Myriad Paths of the Forest and the Four Absolutes of the Heavenly Realm, Bodhidharma's Primordial Maha, and even the Twelve Swords of Profound Yin that only exist in the Sword Realm, etc.

Unfortunately, I've only learned a little bit about these amazing skills so far.

Especially martial arts like the Yuan-level Maha and the Twelve Swords of Xuan Yin, which are not conveyed through words, are extremely superficial.

Even so, his promotion was unprecedented.

In addition, Ying Xun also obtained all the secrets of the world.

If he wants to find a treasure, he only needs to think about it to know where it is buried.

Of course, if we are looking for insights, there are no specific written records from ancient times to the present, so there is only a vague direction.

Furthermore, the Heavenly Cry Sutra possesses the ability to predict the future.

But perhaps because his soul is from outer space, the future he predicts is always full of variables.

For example, when predicting Xiong Ba's future, besides the original scenario where he was killed by Feng Yun after becoming a demon, there are also possible endings where he is only killed by Bu Jing Yun, or dies alone in old age, or enjoys a peaceful old age surrounded by his children and grandchildren, etc.

His own future, however, was a blank slate, impossible to predict at all.

Not only can the future not be predicted, but even the past is a blank.

It was as if he had never existed.
