When the Buddha heard Duobao Tathagata asking him this, a barely perceptible look of fear appeared on his face.

Fortunately, at this moment, Subhuti beside him spoke up: "Remember when I accepted him as my disciple, it was before the witch-lich catastrophe. At that time, he was called Happy Taoist."

After Subhuti said this, Duobao Tathagata naturally could not ask any more questions.

After all, Subhuti has already said that when the Laughing Buddha worshipped the Taoist Master Zhunti, it was before the great calamity of wizards and demons.

This means that this Happy Buddha could not possibly be the one he had guessed. Or maybe he was just overthinking.

After all, as a saint's incarnation, it is absolutely impossible for him to tell lies and deceive himself, the Buddha. Otherwise, this karma will definitely be repaid by the original Buddha.

Even so, Duobao Tathagata still had some doubts in his heart, and even opened his Dharma Eyes to secretly observe the Happy Buddha.

However, he discovered that the Laughing Buddha was covered in Buddha's light and he could not see anything clearly.

In the entire Western Buddhist sect, only a few ancient Buddhas have such Buddha light. Even the four great bodhisattvas do not have such Buddha light.

At the same time, the Happy Buddha had also discovered that Duobao Tathagata was spying on him, so he immediately bowed and said.

"My Buddha, during the Conferred God Tribulation, quite a few Western disciples were on the list. So asking the Heavenly Court to modify the Heavenly Laws will also be beneficial to our Buddhist sect."

"So I think that our Buddhist sect should cooperate with Jiejiao. Not only should we allow Tang Sanzang to marry the Queen of Xiliang, but we should also revise our Buddhist rules."

As soon as the Happy Buddha said this, the entire Great Leiyin Temple went into an uproar. After all, this was equivalent to touching the bottom line of the Buddhist precepts.

At this time, Bodhisattva Cihang finally returned to the Great Leiyin Temple.

He first bowed to Duobao Tathagata, and then said, "Buddha, I should have known about the affairs of Xiliang Women's Kingdom. I wonder how I plan to deal with it?"

"If we forcibly stop Tang Sanzang from marrying the Queen of Xiliang, he will definitely feel resentful. At that time, the journey to the West arranged by our Buddhist sect will suddenly change because of this."

"So, I, the Buddha, must think twice before doing anything about this matter. I must come up with a plan that satisfies both parties. If it really doesn't work, I can only send someone to Penglai Island to meet Saint Niu Kui."

"Let Saint Niu Kui come forward to stop Tang Sanzang from marrying the Queen of Xiliang. At least the wedding date should be postponed."

Bodhisattva Cihang's solution is very simple, that is to beg Jiejiao to take action. At the very least, it is necessary to wait until the Journey to the West has passed before Tang Sanzang and the Queen of Xiliang can get married.

At this time, the Happy Buddha said directly: "Cihang Bodhisattva, don't worry about this matter. I, the Buddha, have already found a solution."

Then the Happy Buddha told the Bodhisattva Cihang what had happened, which inevitably made Bodhisattva Cihang frown.

It was the first time for Bodhisattva Cihang to see the Happy Buddha, so he knew almost nothing about him. Naturally, he could not say anything to him, but turned his gaze directly to Tathagata Duobao.

Finally, Duobao Tathagata directly spoke to the Buddha and said, "I think we should do as the Bodhisattva Cihang said."

"Please take the Buddha to Penglai Island in person and discuss this matter with Saint Niu Kui."

"As for Tang Sanzang, let Bodhisattva Cihang go and delay him. Make sure to wait until the Buddha and Niu Kui are brought back, and never let them get married."

Hearing that Duobao Tathagata actually adopted the suggestion of Bodhisattva Cihang, the Happy Buddha immediately said, "Buddha, it is obviously a win-win situation, why do you still ask others for help?"

In fact, the Happy Buddha also had his own selfish motives. Because the Dharma he practiced was different from that of most Buddhist disciples, he was ostracized by them. So the Happy Buddha always wanted to promote the Dharma he practiced to the entire Buddhist community. Even if he could not replace the current Dharma, he had to let it coexist.

Buddhist disciples can freely choose whether to practice the Buddhist teachings of purity of mind and few desires, or to practice their own joyful Zen.

In fact, there are many different Buddhist teachings in Buddhism. There are even many different kinds of teachings, totaling more than 800.

This is also the reason why Hongjun Daozu said in Zixiao Palace that the two saints from the West would create eight hundred side sects in the future.

The mainstream of these Buddhist teachings is divided into Mahayana Buddhism and Hinayana Buddhism. Mahayana Buddhism is the new Buddhist disciples headed by Many Treasures Tathagata.

The Hinayana Buddhism is mainly based on the original disciples of the Western religion, the lineage of the Buddha who came from the East.

Even the disciples of the Chan school who joined the Western school also practiced the Hinayana Buddhism. And the Hinayana Buddhism is divided into many branches.

Joyful Zen is one of these branches, and it is the least popular one.

In addition to joyful Zen, there is also the Buddhist Dharma of salvation practiced by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, which is also a branch of Theravada Buddhism.

However, Hinayana Buddhism is very exclusive and suppresses many branches, making it difficult for them to rise.

Compared to the Hinayana Buddhism, the Mahayana Buddhism is much simpler. We can even say that the Mahayana Buddhism is all-embracing.

Otherwise, now that Mahayana Buddhism is in charge of Buddhism, it will have to completely ban Hinayana Buddhism. In order to gain more cohesion?

Therefore, the Laughing Buddha felt that whether he could make his Laughing Zen become the mainstream in Buddhism depended on this moment.

As for the suggestion of the Happy Buddha, Duobao Tathagata still had no intention of adopting it. Instead, he said directly: "It has been decided. There is no need to discuss it further."

"By the way, there seems to be no lotus platform for the Happy Buddha in this Great Leiyin Temple. Why not let me set up a lotus platform for the Happy Buddha today?"

As he spoke, Duobao Tathagata waved his hand and set up a lotus platform directly next to the Buddha, as the fixed position of the Happy Buddha in the Great Leiyin Temple.

Although the Laughing Buddha did not care about this, he still bowed to Tathagata and expressed his gratitude.

At this time, Duobao Tathagata said, "After all, we are from the same sect. Why should we be so polite? Don't you think so, Junior Brother Dingguang?"

As soon as Duobao Tathagata said this, Happy Buddha could not help but take several steps back. If Subhuti had not stopped him, he would have probably run away.

After trying to calm his mind, the Happy Buddha spoke up and said, "My Buddha, what you said is wrong. Although we are both disciples of Buddhism, I am the elder brother of the Buddha."

Duobao Tathagata smiled and nodded, "Happy Buddha is right, you entered the sect earlier than me. I should call you Senior Brother."

Afterwards, Duobao Tathagata did not mention this again, but it was already certain that this Happy Buddha was the disappeared Long-ear Dingguang Immortal of Jiejiao.

Even the Bodhisattva Cihang and the Jiejiao disciples who joined the Western Buddhist sect after the Conferred Gods Tribulation guessed the identity of the Happy Buddha.

However, he did not show it on his face, but kept the matter firmly in his mind.

Even the Bodhisattva Cihang did not show any change in expression. She said goodbye to the Tathagata and went to the Western Liang Women's Kingdom. (End of this chapter)
