These Western sect disciples were originally Jie sect disciples in the ancient history. Later, they were forced to be the three thousand mortals who were sent to the west.

However, because of Niu Kui, they were not able to enter Jiejiao. Some were even expelled from Jiejiao, so they all became disciples of the Western Sect.

This is the current structure of Western Buddhism. Although the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas that were originally in the ancient times are now present in Western Buddhism, things have changed and people have changed.

Now, upon hearing the Great Wisdom Bodhisattva mention the Golden Cicada, Duobao Tathagata could not help but sigh and said, "I do know something about the whereabouts of this Golden Cicada."

When Bodhisattva Dabao heard that he knew the whereabouts of Jin Chanzi, not only did Bodhisattva Dazhi show joy, but even Bodhisattva Daxing was a little moved.

After all, whoever can grasp the Golden Cicada will be equivalent to mastering the destiny of Buddhism. In the future, this force belonging to them will surely become the backbone of Buddhism.

However, Duobao Tathagata had already said that Jin Chanzi would become his second disciple in the future. This was equivalent to Duobao Tathagata taking the lead.

Therefore, both sides can only start from other aspects and strive to seize this key to the prosperity of Western Buddhism.

So now when they heard Duobao Tathagata say that they knew the whereabouts of Jin Chanzi, everyone pricked up their ears, afraid of missing a word.

At this time, Duobao Tathagata also spoke, "I, the two holy Buddhas of the West, once owed karma to Niu Kui, the deputy leader of Jiejiao."

"In order to resolve the cause and effect, he gave the golden cicada seeds on the Bodhi tree to Niu Kui of Jiejiao. He even gave him half of the Bodhi tree."

"I guess the golden cicada is on the Bodhi tree on Penglai Island. I wonder which Bodhisattva is willing to go to Penglai Island and bring the golden cicada back to our Buddhist sect."

Originally, everyone was very excited and prepared to go and greet Jin Chanzi in person in order to establish a good relationship with him.

Now, when they heard Duobao Tathagata actually say that Jin Chanzi was on Penglai Island, they instantly became like deflated balls, not daring to fight for even a single point.

After all, everyone present knew what Penglai Island was. It was the dojo of Niu Kui, the deputy leader of Jiejiao.

Although Niu Kui no longer lives on Penglai Island, he usually lives in the Pingxin Palace in the Nine Netherworld or in the Wahuang Palace in the chaos.

But no one dared to underestimate Penglai Island, because Niu Kui's disciples lived on Penglai Island.

"During the great calamity of the Conferred Gods, the twelve-grade golden lotus of merit of the two holy Buddhas was cut down to three grades by the Master Tongtian using the God-killing Spear."

"Now there is only the ninth-grade lotus pedestal left, forcing our Western Religion to change to Western Buddhism. This is to gather luck again, hoping to restore the Golden Lotus of Merit one day."

"It's a pity that the Merit Golden Lotus is an innate thing, and it is not so easy to repair. Unless we can find the original lotus, the Twelve-Rank Merit Golden Lotus can be restored to its former glory."

"And I heard that there are five ninth-grade golden lotuses of merit being nurtured in the Three Lights Divine Pond on Penglai Island."

"If it is possible, I will bring those five ninth-grade golden lotuses back to the Western Buddhist sect. Not only can my Western golden lotus return to the twelfth grade, but it will also allow all the Bodhisattvas to sit on a ninth-grade golden lotus."

"It's a pity that none of you are willing to go to Penglai Island. We can only wait for Bodhisattva Cihang to return from heaven and let him go there in person."

Everyone present knew the identity of Duobao Tathagata, and everyone knew the identity of Cihang Bodhisattva.

These two, one was the chief disciple of Jiejiao, Duobao Taoist, and the other was Cihang Taoist who was highly regarded by Niu Kui.

The relationship between these two and Penglai Island is not something that they, the former disciples of the Chan sect, can compare with the disciples of the Western sect.

Even when Duobao Tathagata first arrived at the Western Lingshan Mountain, he attracted the attention of both sides and reported the matter to the two Western saints.

However, the two saints in the West did not drive away Duobao Tathagata because they knew that the key to the prosperity of Buddhism lies in Duobao Tathagata.

Even if Duobao Tathagata came to the West with other intentions, the two Western saints had no choice but to take advantage of him and let him become the master of Buddhism.

As for whether the future could convince Tathagata to return and become the true master of Buddhism, the Two Holy Saints of the West had no worries at all.

After all, the salvation sutra of the two saints in the West is not fake. Coupled with the Eight Treasures Merit Pool, even if he is a half-step saint, the two saints in the West are sure to make him convert to Buddhism.

The purpose of not taking action against Duobao Tathagata now is to use Duobao Tathagata's original identity to make the Western Buddhism rise rapidly.

When the Journey to the West calamity truly begins, the two Western saints can attack Duobao Tathagata. At that time, Duobao Tathagata will only have Buddhism in his heart.

However, the plan of the two saints in the West was not mentioned to anyone. Even the Great Wisdom Bodhisattva and the Future Buddha were unaware of it.

Therefore, at this time, the Great Wisdom Bodhisattva could not help but feel worried. He was worried that if the Bodhisattva Cihang went to Penglai Island, the lineage of Duobao Tathagata would be more stable in the Western Buddhist sect.

By then, Duobao Tathagata will sit on the 12th level of Merit Golden Lotus, and Cihang Bodhisattva will sit on the 9th level of Merit Golden Lotus. Who in the entire Western Buddhist community can compete with them for luck?

So the Great Wisdom Bodhisattva finally had to bite the bullet and said, "Since the Buddha has said so, please allow me to go to Penglai Island."
