Konoha: Uchiha Shisui's Advisor Alliance

Chapter 29: Various Industries

Chapter 29: Various Industries
"Are you still thinking about what happened just now?"

After leaving the street, the two walked around for a while. In just one morning, that kind of conflict happened six times before their eyes, some big and some small.

After a simple lunch, the two came to a place with less traffic.

Seeing that Hui was still unhappy, Sima Yi chuckled and asked.

Hui looked distressed, nodded and said, "Uncle Yi, why do you think so? Uncle Yadai and the others were just doing what they were supposed to do, but they are rejected by the villagers like this."

"And it was only after they reported it themselves that the police department stepped in to resolve the matter, but they insulted us Uchiha like this. It's simply unreasonable!"

Hui became angrier and angrier as he spoke. The last time he was so angry was in the rear camp when Shisui was questioned by Tennekae.

Damn the sleeping arrangement!
Sima Yi looked at the shops on both sides, smiled faintly and said nothing. Of course he saw the problem, but there were so many people here and he would not give himself up to criticism.

He just consoled her by saying, "Misunderstandings are inevitable. If you interact more with the villagers, maybe they will understand Uchiha."

understand?

Hui looked at Sima Yi with a strange expression, "Uncle Yi, how could you say that?"

Now it was Sima Yi's turn to be surprised, "Who else has said that?"

"Everyone seems to say that, Shisui, Clan Leader Fugaku, Tetsuka, Inahime, my dad too, oh and Hokage-sama."

"Everyone keeps saying they understand each other. Anyway, I've only met a few people who understand Uchiha over the years. Kakashi is one, and the Fourth Hokage is one. What a pity."

As he spoke, Hui became even more depressed.

"Haha, well, why bother with those trivial matters? Now help me see why this street is so deserted?"

Sima Yi observed that the decorations of the shops on both sides were obviously different from before, and the people coming and going here all had a gloomy and violent aura.

Sima Yi had seen this situation before. Most of these people had just returned from the war and their emotions were not yet stable.

"Most of the things sold here are ninja-related. The prices are relatively high and ordinary people can't afford them. Most of the people who come here are ninjas."

Hui suddenly pointed to a shop with the Uchiha clan emblem and said, "Those are our Uchiha shops, specializing in selling props such as detonating tags and kunai, as well as some low-level fire escape techniques that the Hokage has allowed to be sold."

Sima Yi looked at the deserted shops in front of him and sighed, "It looks like business isn't very good!"

Hui pointed at the opposite side with an angry look on his face and said, "Because there is another store opposite, and they have taken away all the business."

Sima Yi turned around and looked in the direction he pointed, and saw that although the shop opposite was not busy with cars and horses, there were few barriers between people coming and going.

"Who dares to compete with the Uchiha clan for business?"

Stealing someone's money is like killing their parents. How could Uchiha tolerate such an obvious act?

Hui looked around and whispered in Sima Yi's ear, "I heard from the tribe that it seemed to be from the Sarutobi tribe, but we couldn't find any evidence. But the tribe leader suppressed it and didn't let us cause any trouble."

Sarutobi!

Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Third Hokage!
Sima Yi suddenly realized and took another look at the other party's decorations. Indeed, there was no family emblem, so he smiled.

"Haha, that's it."

"Well, anyway, since the night of the Kyuubi, many of our clan's shops have disappeared, and most of the business has been taken away. Clan leader Fugaku has been giving in again and again, and our lives are becoming increasingly difficult."

The two walked along the street, and Sima Yi wrote down all the shops on the street and the families behind them.

"Those pharmacies belong to the Nara family. When my father was practicing Taijutsu, he often came here to buy medicinal materials. They were so expensive that he gave almost half of his mission rewards to them!"

"These are the Hyuga family. They are the strongest family in Konoha besides us Uchiha."

"Oh?"

Sima Yi became interested and looked at it carefully. Just as he was about to step forward, he was stopped by Hui.

He leaned close to Sima Yi's ear and whispered: "Uncle Yi, what are you doing? That's Hyuga, you can't go in!" "I'm old, and my eyes are not very good. I just want to get closer to see what they are selling."

"What can they sell? It's nothing more than some secret medicines and ninja tools. They can't give us massages, right?"

Hui muttered quietly, and it was obvious that he seemed to be very dissatisfied with the Hyuga clan.

Sima Yi remained calm and changed the subject, "Why is there a painting shop here?"

There is an inconspicuous small door sandwiched between several large shops, with a family emblem engraved on it.

"That's from the Kurama clan. They've always been on good terms with us Uchiha, but now they've fallen on despair."

Hui sighed, thinking of the Uchiha's situation, and was reminded of the past.

Failure to take political stance led to liquidation.

Sima Yi made a judgment in his heart and also took note of this family.

"The smoke coming out of that place is the Akimichi family's barbecue restaurant. I heard that the seasoning they use contains secret medicine purchased from the Nara family. It's good for ninjas, but it's a bit expensive."

Hui pointed to an intersection and introduced it with saliva drooling. His eyes were shining and he looked at Sima Yi with anticipation.

"It's getting late, so let's eat some barbecue before going back."

Sima Yi did not spoil the fun and nodded in agreement with a smile.

"Great, I'll go buy a few bottles of wine, Uncle Yi, you go and grab a seat first."

Hui clapped his hands excitedly, turned around and took a few steps, then looked back with embarrassment.

Sima Yi had expected this and took out a few banknotes from his pocket, "Go quickly and come back soon."

"Long live Uncle Yi!"

After taking the money, the two separated. Sima Yi slowly came to the door of Qiudao BBQ Restaurant and saw the family emblem with the word "food" printed on the door curtain.

"Old man, are you alone?"

Before he could go forward, a big, kind-looking man from the Akimichi tribe, wearing a scarf, passed by.

"Two people, help me find a quiet place."

Sima Yi looked at the man in surprise, but then he looked away after only a moment.

"Please come inside~"

Sima Yi followed the other party to a quiet corner. A little further away were tables of people drinking and shouting. These people were wearing forehead protectors and were all ninjas. When they saw the old man coming, they just glanced at him and then looked away and continued with their entertainment.

"The dishes are all on the curtain. What would you like to order, old sir?"

As if afraid that Sima Yi was illiterate, the boss read them out loud one by one.

"Two of each, please. And prepare a basin of hot water for me. I want to warm up some wine."

".Okay, wait a moment."

The boss was a little surprised to hear that two of each were needed, but he didn't ask any more questions. He took note of it and glanced at the Ninjas at the tables a little further away and said, "If you need anything, you can call me directly, old man."

After saying this, he turned and left.

Upon hearing this, Sima Yi looked around expressionlessly, as if thinking about something.

But soon his attention shifted away from these ninjas. He looked at the curtain with pictures of dishes on it, and couldn't help but shake his head when he saw the prices.

"A portion of pork costs eight hundred taels, mutton costs one thousand two hundred taels, beef costs one thousand five hundred taels, and venison costs two thousand taels! With such prices, it seems that something is wrong."
