Chapter 796: The Taoist Ancestor of Righteousness

Chapter 796: The Taoist Ancestor of Righteousness
"Even I didn't expect that the change of fate would be so drastic. Hahahaha, this is retribution, Xun Peng, this is real retribution!"

Luo Shiluan did not hide the pleasure in her tone.

"You bastard, it's really you who's behind this!" Xun Peng's eyes were red with anger. "You're the one plotting against my Xun family? What did you do?"

Luo Shiluan did not reveal his figure, and the surroundings were still thickly dark, blocking his vision and spiritual perception, making him unable to tell the directions of east, south, west and north.

This is a real case of "being trapped in a wall".

"Hahaha!" The sound of Luo Shiluan's hearty laughter came from all directions.

"It was me, of course it was me! But I never did anything stupid again, and I never did anything that was against the will of heaven and earth. My every word and action was in accordance with the rules of humanity and the way of gods. I didn't create any evil karma, I was just guiding my own cause and effect.

I went to see the county magistrate and complained to him as a victim.

This is also in compliance with the instructions of the county lord.

A few days ago, Mr. Gou beat the drum to report my case, and the county magistrate asked him to find evidence and my body.

Hehehe, you fished my body out of the lake and tried to cast a spell on the corpse to bind me. You wanted to destroy the corpse and torture my soul, but it's no use!
I have long been liberated, truly liberated, not affected by the ghosts in the lake, nor bound by the corpses.

I obeyed the order of the county magistrate and walked through the main gate to the county government office to find him.

The door gods, treasury gods, Gongcao gods and parading gods can only watch from the sidelines.

I entered the county magistrate's dream, and it turned out that the bastard was bribed by you.

Unfortunately, all actions will leave traces of cause and effect.

As a senior official, he should enforce the law impartially, redress my grievances and give me justice.

He accepted money from your Xun family, causing me to suffer injustice and humiliation, and to die in vain, thus creating a serious karmic relationship between us.

I can drag him to the underworld to ask the ghosts and gods for justice!

Hahahaha, it’s even clearly written in the “Book of Life and Death” that he is greedy for money and harms others, and his fortune, wealth, and longevity are cut off. Not only will he lose his official position and his life soon, but he will also go to the eighteen levels of hell after his death.

As long as I was willing to bear my share of the karma, I could have dragged him down to the eighteen levels of hell right then and there.

But how could he be willing to use his own life to bear the consequences for your Xun family?"

"So it's the Luo who betrayed us." Xun Peng suddenly realized, then his face twisted, and he shouted: "My Xun family has been a county for thousands of years, a great noble family, and has great fortune. The Luo dared to go against the will of heaven, and he will be punished by heaven!"

Hearing his desperate and angry cries, Luo Shiluan was even happier.

"You don't understand cause and effect, and you don't know destiny! The county magistrate handles the case according to humane laws. As long as it is fair and just, no matter how famous you are, you will be wiped out in one day without any evil karma."

Xun Peng wanted to shout again, "Swoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"

Dozens of crossbow arrows shot like lightning.

Xun Peng had the spiritual perception of a warrior, so he quickly dodged and slashed with his sword.

But he reacted too slowly and the two sides were very close, so he only dodged half of the arrows and was still hit seventeen or eighteen times.

The arrow, as thick as the woman's little finger, pierced his torso and took away his strength.

"Plop!" The "Jade-faced Golden Roc" of Guangchuan County, with its bloodshot eyes wide open in unwillingness, lay prone in the weeds, its body twitching slightly and gradually becoming stiff.

"What's wrong with Xun Peng? He was standing in the woods shouting randomly, and he didn't even react when we approached him."

The officer walked up to Xun Peng with a crossbow in hand and kicked him a few times with a puzzled look on his face to make sure that he was indeed dead.

"Maybe he was injured too badly and can't run anymore." The captain guessed.

"Boss, now that we have caught the main culprit, let's go back quickly. The Xun family has been a famous county for thousands of years, we have to check it out carefully." An officer urged.

"That's right, a thousand-year-old county, this time our brothers will make a fortune."

The captain cheered himself up, randomly assigned a younger brother to carry the body, and quickly ran towards the county town.

The next morning, Guangchuan County, Zhao Mansion.

"Why are you two leaving right after I came back?" Zhao Yan's face showed fatigue and a little dissatisfaction.

Xiao Yu smiled and said, "If it weren't for giving an explanation to the county lieutenant, we would have left last night."

Zhao Yan had a complicated expression and said, "The Taoist priest is really good at this. With just a few words, the thousand-year-old prince of the Xun family melted away like ice and snow.

Anyone who dares to draw a knife and kill an officer will be shot on the spot.

The remaining several hundred people, regardless of whether they were masters or servants, were all taken away to do forced labor, and there was no one left in the Xun family in Guangchuan."

Xiao Yu shook her head and said, "It is a gift from God that humans can be born into this world.

But people's destiny is not controlled by God, but by their own fate.

Life is in one's own hands. It is not the heaven and earth that kills it, nor is it the ghosts and gods that harm it. It is the loss of one's own way that leads to death."

Zhao Yan frowned and said, "If the Taoist priest hadn't fiddled with destiny, the Xun family might have lost their way and perished, but as of yesterday, their luck and virtue should not have been exhausted."

Xiao Yu sighed, "Humans have their own way, ghosts have their own way, gods have their own way, and immortals have their own way.

Different paths lead to different things. When you encounter a fork in the road, whose advice should you listen to?
The theories of luck and hidden virtue originate from the teachings of ghosts and gods, and are not human principles.

The court already has laws and systems, which are the direct expression of humanitarian ethics.

Have you ever seen any system or law in the Qin Dynasty that stipulates that one can use the good deeds of one's previous life or the remaining virtues of one's ancestors to atone for murder or arson?
As a court official, the county lieutenant should discuss the principles of humanity, not the principles of ghosts and gods. "

Zhao Yan was stunned for a moment and asked, "Isn't the principle of ghosts and gods the truth?"

Xiao Yu said: "County Magistrate Zhao has been an official for many years, and he must understand that the court's laws alone cannot perfectly achieve the effect of 'cause and effect have retribution, encourage good and discourage evil'.

The rules of merit and fortune under the underworld system can make up for this shortcoming of humanitarian laws.

The key point is that when humanity is deficient, it needs to be supplemented by the way of God.

If there were only humanitarian systems in the world, there would be many unjust, false and wrong cases, good people would not be rewarded and bad people would not be punished.

But if all the rules in the human world were to follow the will of ghosts and gods.

The Xun family has been a famous county for thousands of years, and has been blessed with good fortune for a long time. Killing one or two people will not exhaust their luck.

The Xun family did not care about humanity but only followed the rules of the gods. They committed the serious crime of murder and received no punishment in this life.

What would people think and learn when they see this? The world would surely become more chaotic and corrupt than it would be without Shinto.

Therefore, in a world dominated by humans, human rules can only be the main one, supplemented by Shinto rules.

The retribution of good and evil in Shintoism and its standards of good and evil must also be based on human laws and morals. "

On the journey to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures, every time Wukong killed someone, Tang Seng would complain, saying that he had caused a murder case and that he might be arrested by the government.
Once Wukong killed six robbers. After reciting the Sutra of Reverse Head at the grave, Tang Seng kept muttering, "His surname is Sun, and mine is Chen. We each have a different surname.

Every wrong has its perpetrator, every debt has its creditor. (When you reach the underworld and see the King of Hell) please do not sue me, the monk who sought the scriptures."

Acting extremely cowardly and foolishly.

Wukong laughed at him and deliberately poked the robbers' graves three times with his golden cudgel, shouting, "Grandpa Sun killed you for no other reason than that you pissed me off.

"Go ahead and complain to anyone you want. I am not afraid at all. The Jade Emperor knows me, and the King of Hell is my servant. Why should I be afraid?"

There is no need to whitewash Tang Seng. As a master, he was indeed irresponsible and cowardly.

But Monk Tang was also helpless.

The reason why he was able to become a pilgrim was because of his identity as a "good man for ten lifetimes."

What does “a good person for ten generations” mean?
At least you can't commit murder in the human world.

A murderer is not acting in self-defense (ps) or manslaughter, but is actively killing several people.

If we put it on the modern Internet, how many people would think that he is “a good man who has done good deeds all his life and has never done any evil”?
In other words, if someone did good things and never broke the law for the first seventy years of his life, and then killed someone in his seventies or eighties and broke the law, would the court and the people say, "He did so many good things before, so let it go this time, he is still a good person"?

If Monk Tang is caught once by the government and it is confirmed that he has allowed his followers to commit crimes, he will be labeled a "murderer" and will lose the status of "a good man for ten lifetimes" bestowed upon him by the underworld system.

He will go from being a good person for ten lifetimes to being “a good person for ten lifetimes in the past”.

This is equivalent to denying his identity as a leader in the journey to the West from the root.

Doesn't this cost his life?

If he was not cautious enough to the point of being cowardly and irresponsible, he would never be able to become a "good man for ten lifetimes".

Let’s look at Luo Shiluan’s case.

The Xun family has been in the county for thousands of years, and blessed by the virtues of their ancestors, they have long-lasting blessings and are very powerful.

According to the theory of destiny in the underworld, their luck has not yet ended and they should not be taken away by the soul catcher at this time.

But no matter how great their blessings are, can they be greater than Tang Monk’s ten lifetimes of being a good person?

Under the rules of humanity, even the identity of a good person who has practiced for ten lifetimes can be easily deprived. What good is the Xun family's good fortune?

No matter how powerful the gods are, Shintoism is always just a vassal of humanity!

The world ruled by humans has always been and must be based on humanitarian rules.

Shinto is necessary to exist, but it is only to supplement the deficiencies of humanity and cannot become the master.

Zhao Yan pondered for a long time, and gradually a look of enlightenment appeared on his face. He said with emotion: "Master, what you said makes sense. It makes me suddenly enlightened. Alas, no wonder you can play with the way of humanity and the way of God with ease."

"I am an exorcist wandering around the world. I am not a court official, nor a ghost or god." Xiao Yu said.

Zhao Yan nodded and sighed: "The Taoist priest is right. The Taoist priest does not have to abide by the rules of humanity like the court officials.

They are not like ghosts and gods, who use the rules of retribution in the underworld as their main code of conduct.

But, I have never been able to exorcise demons like the Taoist priest in my life."

Xiao Yu shook his head and said, "If the county lieutenant has never seen it, he would be really ignorant.

I am a true exorcist.

It neither violates the laws of the world nor abides by the rules of the underworld, achieving the effect of good and evil being rewarded and evil spirits being driven away.
Of course, no matter what you do, there will always be traces of cause and effect. I don’t expect any merit, and I don’t have any bad karma. My behavior this time must have been tainted with some calamity.”

Zhao Yan smiled bitterly and said, "Mr. Xun definitely doesn't agree with the Taoist priest's words. After all, the Taoist priest took the initiative to find the Xun family that day and said he would exorcise the demon for the Xun family. As a result, the Xun family was destroyed and their ancestral temple was cut off."

Xiao Yu said: "Does the county lieutenant know that I provided Mr. Xun with three strategies that day?

The best option is truly the best choice.

Mr. Xun, the Xun family, and Mr. Xun all ended their cause and effect at the lowest cost.

Miss Luo can also dispel resentment.

But they clearly broke the law, but they were unwilling to pay any price and even drove me out.

Now that they are in trouble because I have always done the right thing, they blame me?

They are just dead, not scattered.

The dead souls can go to the underworld to seek justice from the judge.

Whether the county lieutenant believes it or not, the judge will tell them that the best strategy that Taoist Radish said is indeed the best strategy. "

Zhao Yan's brows relaxed, he bowed respectfully towards her and said, "Master, please don't blame me. I am just a layman and I can't even understand the principles of humanity, let alone the principles of heaven and earth.

However, the Taoist priest's words convinced me and I benefited a lot from them.

I only ask you to stay in my humble abode for a few more days, so that I can ask you some more profound principles. "

Xiao Yu bowed and returned the greeting, saying with a smile: "This time, I have formed a good relationship with the county lieutenant, and I am sure we will have a chance to renew our friendship in the future.

Unfortunately, my fate with Guangchuan County has come to an end.

Leaving does not mean rejecting the county lieutenant, but leaving this place.

Hehe, if I and Gou Sheng stay one more day, many people in the whole county will be restless!"

After hearing what she said, Zhao Yan no longer forced her and just brought a plate of gold and silver from home and gave it to the two of them as travel expenses.

Gou Jiao was about to decline politely, but before he could open his mouth, Xiao Yu gladly accepted it.

After they parted ways with Zhao Yan at Sanli Pavilion outside the city, they continued walking for several hundred steps before Gou Jiao asked in confusion, "Why did the Taoist priest accept his money?"

"Is his silver dirty?" Xiaoyu asked.

Gou Jiao shook his head, "I don't know if it's clean or not, but we don't need the money."

"We don't need money, but he needs to give it away. Accepting his money is a sign of gratitude."

Xiao Yu weighed the silver bag in his hand and said with a smile: "This bag of silver is really not innocent.

County Magistrate Zhao was a capable official, but not an honest one.

Let's help him spend the money well.

In his name, I will accumulate some good karma for the Zhao family, as a reward for his hospitality this time."

Gou Jiao was relieved, "Zhao County Magistrate may not be a good person, but he is a good friend."

"Gou Sheng, do you want to go home as soon as possible, or find a few more cases and continue studying ghosts and gods?"

Xiao Yu used his Qinggong skills to leave the county town and flew over the grass with a bamboo pole.

Gou Jiao hesitated and said, "After Miss Luo's case, I have gained some understanding of the underworld.

The more I understand, the more disappointed I feel.

Ghosts and gods are not as I previously thought, they can represent absolute justice and become our ultimate support."

Xiao Yu thought for a moment and said, "The underworld did not exist at the beginning of the universe. It was built by gods and Buddhas after the creation of mankind.

The underworld has only been in operation for a few hundred thousand years.

Before the Battle of the Gods, even the thrones in Heaven were largely vacant, let alone the Underworld.

But humanity already existed at that time.

The Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors successively pushed humanity to one prosperous era after another, and the power of humanity gradually became stronger.

Think about it, there was no underworld system of retribution for good and evil at that time, so how could the world still function normally? "

Gou Jiao was stunned for a moment, and murmured: "Humanity doesn't actually need the way of God?"

Xiao Yu said: “Without Shinto, the human way can function normally.

Perhaps after countless years, when human civilization is highly developed, humans will be able to deter evil more effectively than ghosts and gods through the use of morality, laws, and tools.

At that time, the underworld system may disappear from the human world again.

Ghosts and gods become history, and humanity prospers. "

She thought about her past life. Without ghosts and gods, wouldn’t the world still function as usual?
But she would rather ghosts and gods still existed in her previous life, and that there was retribution in the underworld.

“But in our time, human civilization has developed to the current level, and the law of cause and effect of the gods is needed to make up for the loopholes in the human system.

For example, a bully colludes with the government and is very smart. He does not offend people he cannot afford to offend and only bullies the common people at the bottom.

Such people will hardly be punished by the humanitarian system while they are alive.

The existence of a large number of such people will inevitably destroy other people's faith in light and justice, and will be greatly detrimental to the development of humanitarian civilization.

Shinto can easily solve this problem.

With ghosts and gods punishing evil and promoting good, human civilization can move forward better. "

“You are disappointed because you have too high expectations of the underworld system.

Shinto is originally a vassal of humanity.

For example, when two armies are facing each other, would you count on the 'deputy general' to turn the tide and become the protagonist on the battlefield?

After all, humanity can only rely on people themselves.

If you read the books of sages and master the principles of the world, then you will have the spirit and courage of humanity and be the chief general of the humanitarian side in the battle between two armies.

As a coach, you should raise the banner of humanity, work hard to promote human principles, reduce humanity's need for ghosts and gods, and let the world believe in and rely more on the principles of humanity, rather than treating ghosts and gods as saviors.

If there is a day in the future when humanity no longer needs ghosts and gods, it will be the result of the efforts of people like you who read the books of sages. "

The principles of humanity are not only about human ethics.

Technology represents the laws of nature and is also the truth of the world.

"Those who read the books of sages" does not refer narrowly to Confucian scholars.

In other words, “books of sages” are not just Confucian classics.

All those who contribute to the advancement of humanity are saints.

The inheritance they left behind are all books of sages.

This is Xiaoyu's philosophy, and her philosophy is the foundation of "The Art of Righteousness".

Gou Jiao was stunned for a long time, then sighed and said, "Master, you are the sage among the sages of the human race, the grandmaster of the sages of the present and future generations."

"I'm just a little Taoist priest who travels around and has some feelings." Xiaoyu said with a smile.

Gou Jiao said seriously: "Master, you said it yourself, as the 'commander-in-chief', you must have the responsibility and courage to carry the banner."

Xiaoyu shook her head and said, "I can't carry it."

Gou Jiao said seriously: "The concepts you mentioned are the foundation of the Righteous Qi Sutra.

As long as you promote your ideas to more people and let more people learn the "Art of Righteousness" that represents your ideas, more "Gou Sheng" will be born.

If you are not the great master among the saints of humanity, then who is? "

Xiao Yu was stunned for a moment and said, "Gou Sheng, you are not my disciple. We studied and researched together, which led to the creation of the Righteous Qi Jue and my previous insights.

You can recruit many disciples, spread the truth you believe is correct, and teach the "Righteous Qi Jue" to more readers, and you will be a great master!"

Gou Jiao shook his head and said, "Master, you can give a lecture, and I am willing to follow in your footsteps. Master, whether you are cultivating the Tao or cultivating your mind, you must have a direction. I sincerely think that "The Art of Righteousness" can create a new literary tradition."

Xiao Yu thought for a moment and said, "It's great that you have such ambition, but I still want to continue traveling freely.

It would be better if we each get what we want and what we deserve.

You go and be the great master who teaches the truth, and I will look for inspiration to perfect "The Art of Righteousness" during my travels.

Anyway, we both have a long life ahead of us, so our separation won’t be forever.”

Gou Jiao said: "Master, please stop."

Xiaoyu stopped flying on the grass and turned around to ask, "Do you want to poop?"

Gou Jiao had a solemn expression and a resolute and bright look in his eyes, but he almost lost his composure when he heard her words.

His expression was a little distorted, but he still maintained a solemn demeanor, kneeling on the ground and bowing respectfully to her, "Master, there must be a ritual for passing on the Dharma.

On behalf of the millions of future 'righteousness disciples', I would like to thank the founder of righteousness, Taoist Luobo, for teaching me the Dharma today."

"I'm not the founder. The Art of Righteousness is only a fragment. It took you and I working together to complete it." Xiao Yu said.

Gou Jiao insisted: "Before others come to claim the title of 'Founder of the Righteous Dao', you are the Founder.

Let’s not talk about cooperative completion. During my trip with the Taoist priest, he might have learned something from it and benefited a lot.

But all my achievements today and in the future are derived from the Taoist priest’s careful teaching.

If I can't even recognize this and am self-righteous, what is the point of practicing the 'righteous way'?"
