The spread of Falun Dafa must proceed from top to bottom. First, it will be recognized and accepted by the wisest people, then nobles will follow the wise, and ordinary people will follow the nobles.

Nowadays, Taoist practitioners not only fail to genuinely revere Buddhism, but also inwardly despise it.

Wouldn't our Buddhist sect have just missed this once-in-a-millennium opportunity for 'Buddhist disciples to rule the land'?
It should be noted that the Qin Dynasty only has three years left to rule, and Yu Fengxian can only try to secure a few more years at most.

We don't have much time left!

Ju Liusun said, "It's not that Yu Fengxian performed poorly, it's that these little Taoists are ignorant."

Yu Fengxian never formally studied Buddhism or listened to the Buddha's sermons.

Based on her own understanding, she recited the Theravada Buddhist scripture on the salvation of the dead, and the effect it had was truly remarkable.

If she were to choose a different scripture, a Mahayana Buddhist scripture meant to save all sentient beings, she would surely preach it with eloquence and boundless light, illuminating three thousand miles and bringing most of Xianyang into a Buddhist world.

The Buddha nodded slightly. "Therefore, we must help her. She not only needs more profound Buddhist scriptures, but also needs to gain more control over Mount Sumeru."

The Buddha pondered for a moment and asked, "Did you make any special request to the Buddhist sect, Uncle-Master?"

As we all know, it was Huanglong's carelessness that led him to 'accidentally' leave the fragments of the "Eight-Nine Arcane Arts" in the Ji River Water Palace.

By a twist of fate and unforeseen circumstances, Yu Fengxian received a destiny that should have belonged to the Li family of Western Shu.

Tathagata nodded slightly and said, "Since Master Uncle didn't make any special demands, let everything take its natural course."

We'll just let things take their course.

"We've happened to run into this situation; at the very least, we can't let Yu Fengxian, this 'Buddhist disciple,' tarnish the prestige of Buddhism."

Julusun seemed to be thinking about something, and said, "Does the World-Honored One mean that we should first teach her the Buddhist scriptures today, and then, when she goes to Mount Ling, we can 'naturally' teach her the great Buddhist teachings and supernatural powers?"

The Buddha said, "I'm afraid the Buddhist scriptures won't be able to exert their miraculous effects in a short time."

Today is the first Water and Land Assembly, not the only one.

According to her plan, from now on, she will hold a "Buddhist and Taoist fusion ceremony and perform a water and land ceremony" every now and then.

But she was busy reconstructing the geomantic system of the Central Plains and dealing with rebellions in various places; where would she find the time to quietly study Buddhist scriptures?

“If one’s cultivation is insufficient, one can supplement it with elixirs and make up for it with magical treasures,” Ju Liusun said slowly.

A smile appeared on Tathagata's face, and he nodded, saying, "My Mount Ling has the Pure Lands of all Buddhas in the ten directions. Why not let her be the 'Grand Preceptor Buddha of the East' and take charge of the Eastern Pure Land of No Worries?"

The Buddha said, "This is not a miscellaneous title of Buddha. Yu Fengxian herself has a very high level of Buddhist understanding, stronger than an Arhat, but slightly weaker than a Bodhisattva."

Although she took a wrong turn and did not attain Buddhahood through the orthodox "seven places of enlightenment," no one can deny her potential and her future.

Since there is hope of attaining Buddhahood, it is natural to establish a Buddha's name in advance.

One attains Buddhahood through one's own spiritual practice, not through the bestowal of titles. Whatever title one chooses, one is a 'true Buddha,' not a 'Buddha with a miscellaneous title.'

Julusun shook his head and said, "If she becomes a Buddha and considers herself 'Grand Master Buddha of the East,' then it won't be considered a miscellaneous title."

"To premeditately bestow upon her the title of 'Grand Master Buddha of the East,' without any special authority or divine power bestowed upon her, is merely a miscellaneous title of Buddha!"

There are two criteria for distinguishing whether a Buddha's name is a miscellaneous name: First, is the Buddha's name chosen by oneself or conferred by the Vulture Peak? Second, does this Buddha's name naturally possess special power?

Take Sun Wukong's title "Victorious Fighting Buddha" as an example.

In layman's terms, the Victorious Fighting Buddha is "the invincible war god in Buddhism".

Without a doubt, this is a "state of attainment" with power and authority, not a Buddha with any other title.

The title "Eastern Grand Master Buddha" is merely a name and does not contain any authority or power within Buddhism; theoretically, it is just a miscellaneous title for a Buddha.

The Buddha explained, “Yu Fengxian is different from others. She is indeed the Grand Tutor of the Upper State. I have seen the future with my wisdom eye, and ‘Grand Tutor Yu’ will surely be remembered in history.”

In the history of humanity, his place and status far surpass those of most emperors.

Imagine, millions or tens of millions of years from now, that the emperors and officials of the Central Plains dynasties, and even scholars among the common people, all revere Grand Tutor Yu as a 'sage.' How could 'Grand Tutor Buddha' not possess power?

Julusun exclaimed in surprise, "The World Honored One saw that Yu Fengxian survived the great calamity at the end of the Qin Dynasty and even won a great victory?"

The Buddha shook his head and said, "I cannot see the course and outcome of this great calamity."

However, Yu Fengxian's reputation and status in human history can now be largely established.

He pointed in a certain direction within Xianyang City, “While waiting for you, I used my discerning eyes to survey Xianyang and saw that the Sima family, a family of historians, was compiling the ‘Annals of Grand Tutor Yu’ in the History of Qin.”

The single "Annals of Grand Tutor Yu" is already over 80,000 words long, every word a gem, every sentence refined, like a lament without rhyme, it will surely be passed down through generations, become an official history of humanity, and be recognized by later dynasties and scholars.

The story of Grand Tutor Keyu is not over yet!

We used to say that Yu Fengxian was very clear-headed and understood the workings of fate much better than we did back then.

As long as she doesn't suddenly make a mistake, the contents of "The Annals of Grand Tutor Yu" will only elevate her historical status and reputation, rather than ruining her reputation in her later years.

No matter how fierce the struggles between the various sects on Mount Ling are, they are merely a dispute over Buddhist doctrines.

All schools of thought share the same stance on the major goal of spreading Buddhism.

They would certainly agree that 'Grand Master Buddha of the East' should be passed down through the ages along with 'The Annals of Grand Master Yu'.

In the future, the temple will display statues of the Grand Tutor Buddha, and his name will be recorded in history books. Even if Yu Fengxian ultimately fails to attain Buddhahood, she can still become a powerful Buddha through this title.

Ju Liusun said with a strange expression, "In the history of humanity, there is probably no other Grand Tutor who could conquer the heavens with the Nine Cauldrons and the Dragon and win a great victory."

There was no other 'Grand Tutor of the Imperial Dynasty' who publicly tried hundreds of immortals and posted wanted posters outside the South Heavenly Gate.

But the more famous her "Chronicles of Grand Tutor Yu" became, the more likely the Heavenly Court and the Heavenly Emperor would be openly and secretly mocked by mortal scholars and writers.

The Buddha said calmly, "Once the Heavenly Court completes its reforms, the Heavenly Emperor's majesty will only surpass that of the past. Anyone who dares to mock Him will be breaking the Heavenly Laws."

“Well, that’s true.” Ju Liusun thought for a moment and then asked, “Although Grand Tutor Yu is very powerful now, once the Qin Dynasty falls, the ‘History of Qin’ he has written may be altered.”

Once her adversary becomes the Emperor of China, will he still allow the current "Chronicles of Grand Tutor Yu" to be passed down for generations?
Qin Shi Huang, that scoundrel, burned books and buried scholars alive, destroying countless ancient texts that displeased him. If he could do the first thing, others might be able to do the fifteenth.

The Buddha said, "Even if the master of the 'Southeast Emperor's Aura' establishes a new dynasty, he will still owe Yu Fengxian a great debt of karma, and should not wantonly slander her in the history books."

Some facts cannot be altered.

For example, if Hengshan were to mend the sky, could the new emperor really level Hengshan completely?
Anyone with eyes can see that Hengshan has changed.

Ju Liusun asked in surprise, "Why does the master of the Southeast Emperor owe her such a great karmic debt?"
Could it be that the World Honored One has already determined that the True Dragon Emperor is someone Yu Fengxian knows?

Buddha shook his head and said, "I don't pay much attention to the struggle for supremacy in the Central Plains, and I haven't paid much attention to the heroes of China today."

Currently, the disputes between the Lingshan sects, between Mahayana and Hinayana Buddhism, and between modern and ancient Buddhas are raging, and he really has no time to pay attention to the affairs of China.

Of course, his indifference does not mean that Buddhism remained completely aloof from the great calamity at the end of the Qin Dynasty.

He simply entrusted this task to Guanyin Bodhisattva.

“But I know that the dragon vein of the true emperor must have been protected and nurtured by Yu Fengxian.” Tathagata continued, “As the Grand Tutor of the Great Qin Dynasty, Yu Fengxian’s refusal to sever the dragon vein of the true emperor is already a great kindness.”

"We even protected his dragon vein; shouldn't we repay the karmic debt?"

Upon hearing this, Julusun roughly understood the Buddha's thoughts.

He said, "For now, 'Grand Master Buddha of the East' is just a title. It will only be in the future if he truly possesses special powers."

But now that she has a name, the World-Honored One can grant her authority, which is the 'Eastern Pure Land of No Sorrow' among the ten pure lands.

Should she use the power of the Pure Land to help the souls of the dead find peace?
Isn't this price a bit too high?
"With hundreds of millions of people in China, if we allow them to freely enter the Pure Land, wouldn't it become another 'Great Qin'? How can we compensate for the depletion of our karmic essence?"

The Buddha said, "Even if all the people of the Great Qin were to enter the Pure Land, it would only amount to hundreds of millions of people."

Our Mahayana Buddhism created the Pure Lands of Ultimate Bliss in the ten directions, with the aim of liberating all sentient beings.

Grand aspirations are grand aspirations, and reality is reality. Reality is a pure land in all directions, but it is not yet complete.

The Eastern Pure Land of No Worries is still just a plan.

Only after the transmission of Buddhism to the East was completed could the Pure Land of No Worries in the East be established.

While Julusun was still pondering to himself, the Tathagata had already manifested his sixteen-foot golden body, sitting cross-legged on the nine-tiered lotus platform. His voice traveled across infinite distances, spreading throughout the Western Vulture Peak and the many Buddhist kingdoms established by the Buddha.

“Yu Fengxian, a disciple of the ancient Buddha of Burning Lamp, is devout to the Three Jewels, reveres Buddhism and observes etiquette. From receiving her precepts in Tianmen Town (referring to the transmission of the Dharma to her by Zen Master Wuchao) to wielding the power of the Grand Preceptor of China, she has always been diligent and conscientious in reciting scriptures, spreading the Dharma, and promoting the great Dharma of our Buddhist school.”

Today, she is holding a Buddhist Dharma assembly in Xianyang, the capital of the Celestial Empire, to deliver the souls of the Chinese people through the power of Buddhism.

The eastward transmission of Buddhism and the propagation of our great teachings have brought great merit and virtue.

She has been specially promoted to a high rank and is preparing to be conferred the title of 'Grand Preceptor Buddha of the East,' in charge of the Eastern Pure Land of No Worries!

Well, before Grand Tutor Yu even realized it, she had already become the "prospective Grand Tutor Buddha of the East".

This news spread throughout Mount Ling and to all the major Buddhist kingdoms in the West.

Many Buddhist disciples were astonished, as many of them were hearing about "Buddha's disciple Yu Fengxian" for the first time.

However, the higher-ups in Buddhism were not too surprised. Jin Chanzi gritted his teeth in secret, while his disciples were secretly worried.

Because long before Guanyin Bodhisattva returned from the "Heavenly Court Reform Discussion Conference", the World-Honored One Tathagata had already offered Dipankara Buddha an additional reward: to give Yu Fengxian a Buddha position.

At that time, Randeng was also trying to help Grand Tutor Yu secure the title of "Future Buddha".

Now that the Buddha has only given her the miscellaneous title "Grand Preceptor Buddha," many people are secretly relieved.

For example, Maitreya Buddha.

"Since the Eastern Pure Land of No Worries has not yet been established, I have set aside an 'Eastern Region' from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss and temporarily lent it to the Eastern Grand Master Buddha."

"Whenever the Grand Master Buddha has a thought, he can open the Western Paradise."

As the Buddha's words became law, with the promulgation of the "decree," Master Yu, who was chanting Buddhist scriptures and performing rituals to deliver the evil spirits of "Qin City" at the Qinling Temple, immediately opened the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

It was indeed Buddha who was behind it all. But the one who opened the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss was none other than herself.

As she was reciting Buddhist scriptures to deliver evil spirits, a "distraction" arose in her mind—the idea of ​​opening the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Immediately, a projection of the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss appeared around her.

When she stopped chanting Buddhist scriptures and looked around warily, the gate to the Pure Land closed again.

The Pure Land opens in the blink of an eye. As soon as that thought vanishes, the Pure Land naturally closes.

The Pure Land belongs to the Tathagata, but the Tathagata merely made the Pure Land respond to her call, without truly giving her any additional power or authority.

"Grand Tutor, you are truly amazing! You have even managed to summon the Pure Land." Having witnessed and experienced the beauty of the Pure Land firsthand, even Yang Li was impressed.

"Leaving aside other aspects, Buddhism does indeed have unique methods when it comes to resolving karmic causes and effects."

Even a self-taught individual like Grand Tutor, who had never cultivated in seclusion on Mount Ling, could summon the Pure Land.

Legend has it that wherever the Buddha's light shines, the souls of the dead in hell are liberated—that's probably just boasting.

Grand Tutor Yu said with a blank face, "I didn't create the Pure Land just now."

Others may not know the extent of her abilities, but surely she herself knows?
Master Guan asked in confusion, "If it's not the Grand Tutor, then who could it be? Even we outsiders can clearly feel that the Grand Tutor's beliefs are contained within the illusory image of the Pure Land."

Xiao Yu was not smug at all; instead, she looked a little aggrieved and indignant. She said, "It must be some Western thief... cough cough, some Buddha who happened to pass by and saw me holding the 'Luo Tian Grand Ritual'."

Once again, you showered down a vast expanse of golden light, with spectacular sound and light effects, instantly sending over two hundred thousand souls to their blessed land, leaving them completely satisfied.

As a representative of Buddhism, I've disgraced myself greatly. I've chanted scriptures for so long, yet I haven't been able to absolve even one soul of their karmic debts. So, they secretly helped me cheat, just to maintain a facade of pretense.

Well, Grand Tutor Yu wasn't stupid; he immediately figured out the truth.

"So it was the Buddha secretly helping the Grand Tutor." Master Guan said awkwardly, "The Grand Tutor's ability to attract the attention of all Buddhas and gain their assistance is quite remarkable!"

Grand Tutor Yu said irritably, "I think I have great abilities."

I am truly using my 'Buddha's heart' to influence evil spirits and help them get rid of disasters and difficulties.

The fact that such a powerful Buddhist monk staged this in public clearly shows that he looks down on me and thinks I am incompetent.

Ugh, that really hurt my pride!

—If you don't tell the truth, we'll all think you're amazing and admire you immensely!

Now that you're being open and honest, we still have a certain respect for you.

The celestial masters murmured to themselves.

“In any case, it’s a good thing that Grand Tutor can receive the blessings of all Buddhas! You really shouldn’t have closed the Pure Land just now and let the vengeful spirits in directly. Tonight’s Luo Tian Grand Ceremony would have ended.” Yang Li said regretfully.

Xiaoyu hesitated, "Just now, the spirits and even the ghost messengers were overly enthusiastic about the Pure Land of Bliss. That's not normal."

Yang Li exclaimed in surprise, "Could it be that the beauty of the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, which is visible to the naked eye, is merely an illusion?"
