Warhammer: Angron Training Manual
Chapter 373: Praise of the Emperor
Chapter 373: Praise of the Emperor
After the legions rested for a while in the galaxy.
The Emperor's flagship enters the Randan system.
All Primarchs were required to attend the meeting on the Emperor's ship, and all Primarchs except Angron were ordered to go alone.
Qin Xia and Angron arrived at the Emperor's ship together.
This was Qin Xia’s first time on the Emperor’s flagship.
Because this ship is not the Emperor's Vision, but the Bosafalos, a battle carrier.
When Qin Xia and the Primarchs arrived at the last section of the road leading to the command deck by flying vehicle, the flying vehicle dropped them on the platform at the top of the thousand-meter abyss, and the imperial guards in the cabin were silent.
He had been silent since he met the primarchs. Even when Chagatai asked him something, he remained silent, like a puppet that could not understand what was said.
After getting off the flying vehicle, the Imperial Guards walked silently in front, like puppets who could only lead the way.
Only Qin Xia and Angron knew what the imperial guards were thinking and why they had such a cold attitude. The former relied on guessing while the latter relied on perception.
“He despises us,” Angron said in a low voice to his brothers and his foster father.
The imperial guard in front turned slightly to the right and continued to lead the way.
"Why?" Ryan glanced at his brothers suspiciously, then looked at Russ, "Because one of us was once a slave gladiator, and the other was once a barbarian?"
Angron looked at Ryan helplessly.
Ryan had no ill intention in saying this; it was purely from his heart.
"It should be a slave gladiator, a mining slave, and two barbarians." said Corax, who was walking at the back.
"No, Chogoris is a very civilized place." Ryan shook his head slightly.
Angron bumped Ryan's shoulder as he walked over and smiled, "Hey, buddy, Corax wasn't talking about Jaghatai."
"Although your adoptive father is also a slave gladiator, to be honest, he is quite educated." Ryan looked at Qin Xia and said, "He is just annoying."
Qin Xia wasn't listening to what Ryan said at all.
He did not take to heart the distrust of the Primarch and the Space Marines by the Custodians in front of him. After all, the Custodians generally believed that the Primarch and the Space Marines were unreliable.
Qin Xia recalled the scene he saw when he first arrived at the Emperor's battleship Bosafalos.
This battle carrier is huge and even has its own gravity circle. Of course, it cannot be compared with a cast engine in terms of volume, but it is a battleship after all, not a colony ship.
Following the imperial guards, the group entered the gate guarded by the imperial guards.
There was a guard standing at the door who was obviously different from the others. His armor was more gorgeous, and he had various patterns with different meanings on his body.
This guardsman was Constantine Waldo.
Commander-in-chief of the Imperial Guards.
"Stop." Valdor raised his hand to signal the Primarchs to stop.
Then a Custodian turned and entered the command deck, came out again, and said something to Valdor, who then made way.
"Do you recognize that I'm the Emperor's descendant?" Ryan walked over first. His huge body knocked Waldo back a step, and then he swaggered into the command deck.
The heavy gates on the command deck slammed shut.
The fully armed Emperor stood in the center of the command deck, his psychic energy forming a real illusion, the content of the illusion was the Randan galaxy.
The Imperial elite mortal naval officers who served on the Emperor's battle carriers walked in an illusion. They could see whatever place in the galaxy they wanted to see, and these people did not have to take turns to see. Any of them who was in the illusion could observe everything from a soldier's perspective.
That's why it's an illusion, yet real.
The golden emperor stood outside the illusion, his armor making the entire command deck sparkle.
Ryan immediately knelt on one knee: "Father."
Corax, Russ, one after another knelt down.
Chagatai stood there and stared at the emperor's golden back.
Angron looked around, then raised his head and stared at the light. “I thought we would never have to turn on the lights here.”
Qin Xia, who was standing next to the Primarch, nudged Angron with his elbow, indicating that he should show a little respect in the presence of other brothers, otherwise people like Lion who could treat loyalty as a reward might quarrel with him.
"Some matters on Terra have wasted my time, otherwise I would have arrived here before you reached the Randan galaxy." The Emperor stood with his hands behind his back, looking at the illusion in front of him.
Then the Emperor slowly turned around, his golden eyes moving over each Primarch, and then he spoke again: "Report some battle situations to me."
Then Ryan began to explain the situation of the war.
Qin Xia didn't think that the emperor didn't know the progress of the Randan War. It was indeed the case. When Ryan was explaining, the emperor suddenly looked at Qin Xia.
In the eyes of the other Primarchs, the Emperor just stared at Lion, listened carefully, and did not say anything else.
"Why did the Randan alien steal the psychic bomb?" asked the Emperor.
Qin Xia thought about it and told all the things he had speculated during his spare time in the past few days when teaching the new think tank members.
"Based on the few words I heard when I found the psychic bomb, they wanted to use it to eliminate the Primarch. They might have been planning a suicide void war operation, but they didn't have a weapon as powerful as a psychic bomb, so they stole one."
"But their plan failed, not only because I stopped them, but also because the aliens who helped them deliberately messed things up."
"The Randan aliens wanted to steal the psychic bomb and kill the Primarch, as I said." "But they couldn't do it. They asked another alien force for help, or maybe that force asked them."
Qin Xia recalled what happened to Taraxin.
Combined with what Trazyn saw himself saying about obligations, pleasure, and so on.
"An overlord of the Necron dynasty named Trazyn."
"Used Necrons' sorcery to steal a psychic bomb protected by a psychic shielding field, but it talked to me when I found it and gave it back."
"As for its motive... Trazyn's habit of doing things makes it hard to trace his motive. Maybe it's for fun."
"But it is more likely that a small part of the reason is to have fun, and the majority of the reason is to come for the Star God Void Dragon fragments."
"By helping the Randan Empire, which was at war with the Empire, to obtain the psychic bomb, it took the opportunity to destroy the Void Dragon fragment in the war... This way it showed that it did something after it woke up and knew about the Void Dragon fragment, instead of doing nothing."
"They are trying to fool their superiors, or maybe their entire race has some special rules for how superiors and subordinates interact with each other, and as long as they show up at necessary events, they are considered to be doing a favor to the Hierophant, the Silent King."
After saying that, Qin Xia waited for the emperor to make a guess.
The Emperor thought for a moment and asked, "You actually know about the Void Dragon fragments."
"Of course I know." Qin Xia said, "After all, I am an immortal, and I know a little about St. George slaying the dragon."
"You also know that the legend of St. George slaying the dragon is related to my defeating the Void Dragon and sealing it." The Emperor asked again.
"Yes." Qin Xia nodded.
The Emperor lowered his head in thought, then stopped asking questions and just talked about Trazyn: "Those aliens have a deep hatred for the Star Gods. Once I deploy the Void Dragons, they can't help but come out and do something. So I think it's possible that the Overlord you mentioned is lending a helping hand to the aliens for the Star God fragments."
Qin Xia understood what the emperor meant.
The Emperor really wants to deploy the Star God fragments to deal with the Randan aliens.
"I think we can destroy Randan No. 1 even if we don't deploy the Star God Fragments." Qin Xia expressed his opinion, "Just like when I destroyed Randan No. 3 and you destroyed Randan No. 2, just one planet should not be enough..."
"Randan No. 1 is different." Emperor interrupted Qin Xia, "I thought you knew what Randan No. 1 has."
Qin Xia shrugged and randomly guessed an answer: "What? Black Stone?"
The emperor nodded, which was beyond Qin Xia's expectations.
Qin Xia knew what the black stone was.
It is a kind of anti-psychic technology raw material used by the Necrons. Blackstone is the nemesis of psychic energy.
There is no way that Tarazin could have given the Blackstone technology to Randan. It could only be that there was a Blackstone deposit under Randan I. If this thing existed in the form of a deposit, its effect would not be so good, but it would be enough to prevent the Emperor from directly destroying a large number of aliens on the planet as he did in the Battle of Randan II.
"There is a reason why those psychic aliens are piled up on Randan II instead of Randan I." The Emperor said, "In the countless futures I have seen, countless people and warriors have died on Randan I, so deploying the Star God fragments is a must-do in my plan."
The Emperor glanced at the illusion and said, "You can take a look at the deployment on Randan No. 1."
Qin Xia entered the psychic vision to observe Ran Dan No. 1.
He could not directly see the entire planet and could only observe it from a bird's-eye view.
The defense facilities on the planet are scattered all over the place, and those defense facilities spread out in all directions with the anti-orbital defense facilities as the center.
Even this damn planet Perturabo shook his head when he came.
"After we deploy the Void Dragon fragments, how can we recover them?" Qin Xia began to think about what would happen after the Star God was deployed. "The Necrons have something called the Hypercube Labyrinth. That thing is very powerful. It can capture Star Gods like the Poké Balls in the Pokémon of the 21st century on Earth. Do we have that thing?"
The emperor shook his head calmly.
Qin Xia suddenly remembered that Tarazim wanted to collect him... He was very glad that the Emperor didn't know that Tarazim wanted to collect him, otherwise he would probably make him agree to Tarazim in exchange for the hypercube maze, and then find a way to help him escape from Tarazim's museum.
Although the Emperor is good at getting things for free, and the Four Gods have all been taken advantage of by him, but Trazyn is no ordinary person, and the museum is not a public toilet in the galaxy where one can enter and exit as they please.
"After the war, you will come with me to retrieve the Void Dragon." The Emperor didn't think too much about it. "Although you probably know this, I still have to tell you. I built a maze on Mars, and I locked the Void Dragon there. After we retrieve the Void Dragon, we will also lock it up on Mars."
Qin Xia was silent for a moment, raised his eyebrows and pursed his lips and nodded, as if he thought this plan was not very reliable.
The Emperor withdrew his gaze from Qin Xia, and then was silent for a while. Then he spoke again, mentioning Qin Xia's analysis of the struggle between the Randan alien and Taraxin over the psychic bomb.
"Your ability to collect and process information is okay," he said.
"Not bad?" Qin Xia looked into the emperor's eyes. "It's not easy."
“It’s really not easy to collect this information.”
"No, I didn't say anything about the information. I said you can compliment others. This is not an easy decision."
The Emperor responded with silence.
When the private conversation between the Emperor and Qin Xia ended, Ryan also finished talking about the battle situation.
In the eyes of the other Primarchs, the Emperor had been listening silently and did not say anything to Qin Xia.
"Transform Randan's void defense facilities and make them ours, then distribute the fleet across the galaxy to set up the Randan No. 1 defense line." The emperor ordered.
Lion did not understand this order. He thought that the Emperor came to take him and other brothers to fight together, but the Emperor now changed the combat missions of various legions from suspension to termination.
But Ryan still obeyed.
