Chapter 57: Base Construction Completed (Please Recommend and Monthly Tickets)
The last geography exam was on Friday afternoon. Wang Jiankun went to the exam room early and Zheng Qian also came early.

Seeing Wang Jiankun coming, Zheng Qian took out the math test papers from her bag and gave them to him.

In addition to the printed title on the A4 paper, the blank spaces were filled with neat and beautiful lines of handwriting.

Wang Jiankun saw that there was still some time before the exam, so he didn't use his super powers to check and just looked through it himself first.

It was indeed as Zheng Qian said, she got a few questions wrong on solid geometry and parabola, and couldn't answer a few at all, but she made fewer mistakes on questions on other knowledge points, and answered them all.

Wang Jiankun picked a problem that Zheng Qian hadn't solved and explained it to her. Seeing Zheng Qian getting completely confused when she was imagining drawing auxiliary lines in a solid geometric figure and then converting coordinate calculations, Wang Jiankun felt that her problem was still quite big.

Ask her if it is difficult for her to find her way around.

After hearing Wang Jiankun's question, Zheng Qian suddenly blushed and said hesitantly, "How do you know? I have always had trouble finding my way since I was a child. I can't tell east from west and north from south. When I first came to school, I went to the wrong classroom and dormitory several times."

"That's troublesome. You didn't crawl much when you were young, so your spatial perception ability is relatively low. You can only make up for it later."

"Then what should I do? I can overcome this problem by asking passers-by for directions, but when I encounter solid geometry, my mind gets confused and I forget where I was when I thought of this."

"I'll go back and think about it. Then I'll give you a set of math problems every week. You take the time to finish them and hand them in to me. I'll give you a review outline and key points and test papers based on your answers. You can answer them while you study."

"Okay, thank you, that's very nice of you."

"I am always willing to help others. I see that you are a promising student at Peking University or Tsinghua University. It is a pity that you are lagging behind in mathematics. If you can catch up in mathematics, we can still be college classmates."

"Yeah, I'll try my best."

After the geography exam in the afternoon, Wang Jiankun walked back to the classroom and asked Fang Guihua how he performed in the exam.

"I feel pretty good. I compared my answers with others and found that almost all the standard answers for the science subjects were correct. Jiankun, your study method is pretty good!"

"As long as it works, it's fine. If you follow my instructions, you will definitely be able to get into a top university in the country in your second year of high school. By the way, how did Hu Chunming and Cheng Ming do in the exam?"

"We checked the answers together, and they felt they did pretty well. Although they made more mistakes than me, when compared with other students who had similar scores before, they still made great progress."

"It's OK as long as you do well in the exam. When the results come out, we'll review them and see where your weaknesses are. I'll adjust the guidance materials accordingly."

"Okay, Jiankun, when are you going home?"

"I'm not sure. It might be early tomorrow morning. How are you going to get back?"

"We will take a truck back with our classmates from Tsinghua Town, and then walk home from Tsinghua."

"Well, it's good to go back early. Go home and see that your families should have earned some money this month. Go back and let your families give you some money."

"That's also because you take care of us, otherwise our family wouldn't be able to find such a good job."

"Have you made the machine for making cotton cores that I asked you to design?"

"I did draw some pictures, but it's hard to make them. I don't have the tools and materials, and I don't have the time to study."

"Well, let's do this. Next month I'll set up a craft shed at the scrapyard. If you're interested in making something with the knowledge you've learned, you can go there and I'll prepare some materials and tools."

"Okay, Jiankun, I will definitely go there next Sunday, and I will ask them later."

"Okay, I don't force you to go or not. It's okay if you don't do handicrafts and just play on the computer."

"Okay, Jiankun, I have to catch the bus now. See you next week."

"Okay, walk slowly, I have things to do too."

Because I have to go home tomorrow, I'm going to the market to buy some things to bring back before it gets dark. Although my family earns a lot of money now, we are still quite frugal.

A few days ago, his mother sent a message using a text machine, asking Wang Jiankun to quickly get a safe. It was too worrying to have more than 1 million yuan in cash in a wooden cabinet at home.

He bought several kinds of food at the market and also bought a few bottles of wine from second-hand dealers. Wang Jiankun was worried and used his supernatural powers to check them. He found that they were unopened and the ingredients of the wine inside were normal before he dared to buy them.

I carried the purchased items to the school shed and put them in the box tied to the back of the motorcycle.

Recently, squad leader Wu Xiaoyi hasn't come to him to ask for a motorcycle ride, and he also asked Wang Jiankun to wait for the trolley case project.

Maybe it was because they could only receive some propaganda information and didn’t know that the Soviet Union was overdrawing the lives of the country and its people.

According to Wang Jiankun's speculation, the Soviet Union would either launch an aggressive war or self-destruct in the end.

It doesn’t matter if the joint venture in the county has no hope. I can contact my uncle directly next week and then go to Guangshi to open the electronic watch factory.

If my uncle can open up overseas import channels for aluminum and rubber, he can also open some factories. Guangzhou is much more open.

After buying things, Wang Jiankun rode his bike to the scrap recycling station and settled the October wages for Ye Wei and his wife. He asked them to go home and rest tonight and come back tomorrow morning.

The two of them went home happily with a total salary of 75 yuan.

After the two of them left, Wang Jiankun extracted the more than 200 boxes of rare earths that had been piled up, packed them into different boxes, marked the boxes to be taken away, and waited for the team's vehicle to come and take them away tomorrow.

Seeing that it was getting dark, he checked the doors and windows, closed the iron gate, and rode his motorcycle to Yu Yu Garden.

When he arrived at Yuyu Garden, Wang Jiankun first made two large safes using the iron, aluminum, copper, zinc and other elements that he had brought back.

Because it is used to hold cash, Wang Jiakun made it with great care. There is a 2 mm thick layer of alloy steel on the outside, a 5 mm thick layer of brass in the middle, and an aluminum-magnesium alloy inside.

It is divided into 5 layers, separated by aluminum alloy plates, which makes storage and access more convenient. One layer can hold about 60 yuan. Such a safe should be able to hold 300 million yuan, and two safes together can hold 600 million yuan.

Also, starting next month, I will ask Du Weiqiao to buy more metals so that the cash will not increase so quickly.

After finishing this task that my mother had urged me to do for a long time, I dug 3 cubic meters of the third underground base as usual.

Then comes the manufacture of helium circulation devices for micro reactors, as well as the manufacture of steam turbines and generators.

The helium circulation device is somewhat similar to the compressor system of an air conditioner, with a compressor as the main component and winding and coiled heat exchange pipes.

The compressor needs to be connected to two power sources, the starting power supply (fuse) and the external lead-acid energy storage system.

The working power is taken from the generator.

Manufacturing the compressor was quite quick. According to the drawing in my mind, it took me half an hour to fine-tune the elements to the corresponding positions.

Wang Jiankun manufactured this experimental device with the highest possible precision, without considering mass production or providing it to others for research. Some of the connections and moving parts that are subject to wear and tear are made with nanometer-level precision.

After the compressor was manufactured, it was connected to a starting power supply for testing. Almost no sound was heard during operation, which means that the friction is very small and the durability of the components should be very high.

Next comes the manufacture of steam turbines.

There are two steam turbines, one is the high-pressure steam turbine. The temperature and pressure of helium after coming out of the core are very high, and it needs to be reduced in pressure and temperature by the high-pressure steam turbine, and then introduced into the low-pressure steam turbine for power generation.

High-pressure steam turbines can also generate electricity, but the frequency of the electricity generated is variable, so a frequency converter is needed to convert the frequency and then connect it to the compressor to power it.

The two steam turbines took about an hour to make and were installed on a prepared base with a radiation-proof lead shell on the outside.

Then it is also very simple to manufacture the generator. The energy conversion rate of the generator manufactured according to the Zhizi blueprint is super high. Combined with nano-level precision control, the energy conversion efficiency of the entire generator can almost reach 95%.

It was already past 10 o'clock, and Wang Jiankun, who couldn't sleep, was ready to rest after the joint debugging and testing.

All the components have been manufactured. Although there is no helium and nuclear fuel, simulation experiments can be carried out by using electrically heated nitrogen.

All components were connected according to the design drawings, and various valves and test gauges were checked to ensure that nothing was missed. This was considered a rehearsal for the subsequent real nuclear reactor experiment.

Wang Jiankun also asked Chieko to help make a project inspection confirmation form, and checked and confirmed each item one by one.

Next comes the experimental process. First, turn on the heating switch, the graphite in the core is heated, and the liquefied nitrogen in the storage tank is also slowly heated.

The temperature gets higher and higher. When the set temperature is reached, the valve of the liquid nitrogen storage tank is opened, and nitrogen rushes out of the pipeline to the core. It is further heated by the high-temperature graphite and comes out of the core as liquid nitrogen. Then, after passing through a nozzle-like device, the pressure increases, the volume expands dozens of times, and is carried to the high-pressure steam turbine by the air guide pipe.

The turbine is rotated by the impact of high-pressure nitrogen, driving a small generator to generate electricity, and the generated electricity is transmitted to the compressor.

After passing through the high-pressure steam turbine, the pressure of the high-pressure nitrogen is reduced slightly. The nitrogen that reaches the set pressure is introduced into the low-pressure steam turbine, and the steam turbine then drives the generator to generate electricity.

The electricity generated by this generator is transformed by a transformer and then used to charge the lead-acid energy storage system.

At this time, a large part of the nitrogen energy is taken away, the pressure and temperature are reduced a lot, and then it is introduced into the compressor to be compressed into liquid, and then sent into the core for the next cycle.

The process described is the movement of nitrogen in sections, but in fact the whole system operates continuously, in which nitrogen plays the role of energy conduction.

After the test stabilized, Wang Jiankun checked the power generation efficiency and found that the entire system could achieve an energy conversion efficiency of 80%.

That 20% of energy is currently lost as waste heat and infrared radiation, so after more than an hour of testing, the temperature of the 4th layer felt a little bit higher.

Considering that if a complete miniature nuclear reactor is built in the future, the waste heat and infrared radiation energy released per hour will be almost equal to 600 kilowatt-hours of electricity.

We have to find a way to export this part to the external environment without being discovered, otherwise as soon as the reactor starts working, the underground base will be extremely hot.

It would be too late to ventilate the mountain directly using the ventilation system, and it would cause the temperature of the ventilation outlet and the entire mountain to be extremely high, so we have to find a solution underground.

Wang Jiankun decided to drill some more small holes underground to see if he could reach the groundwater layer.

If that doesn't work, find a way to build a water tank underground that can store 5 tons of water, and use a heat delivery pipe to introduce the waste heat into the water tank.

The specific heat capacity of water is relatively high. A 5-degree increase in the temperature of 1 tons of water can absorb about 5.8 degrees of heat energy converted from electricity.

So in the end you still have to use water to cool it down, and the water temperature in the water storage tank will rise by about 7 degrees every month.

By then, we will open a pipeline to the Le'an River, replace the water every once in a while, and slowly release the waste heat into the Le'an River, so the impact will be very small.

The real world is always different from the simulated scene. During the construction of the base, Wang Jiankun has encountered several situations where he had not considered carefully. Fortunately, he has super powers to make up for it, otherwise a design error would result in huge losses.

Then the heating power supply was disconnected and the shutdown process was tested. Under the action of the external power supply, the reactor systems cooled down slowly and no abnormal situation occurred.

It is already past midnight, so we will stop here for today's test. We will have to conduct more tests in the future, and some preset fault conditions will also have to be carefully tested to ensure that no uncontrollable accidents will occur when testing with real nuclear fuel balls in the future.

Wang Jiankun got up late again on Saturday morning, but it was better to get up late because the fog had been dispersed a lot by the sun. Otherwise, riding a bike would be quite dangerous. There would be people and animals on the road from time to time, and the fog was too thick to see clearly, which could easily lead to accidents.

I rode my motorcycle to the scrap recycling station and took a look around. After finding nothing unusual, I went to the Dongmenqiao Market to eat a portion of cabbage and pork dumplings, and bought a tray of 15 large meat buns to take home.

The fields along the roadside were already desolate, and from time to time one could see people leading cows to the fields to eat the new shoots that had sprouted from the rice stubble.

After arriving home, I greet my grandparents, father, mother, aunt and uncle, and then report to them some interesting things at school, my academic performance, etc.

What grandpa heard from Wang Jiankun was that he had become much more mature and stable, while grandma felt that Wang Jiankun had grown taller and thinner, so she wanted to use the newly bought cloth and the cotton grown in her private plot to make him a cotton-padded coat and trousers, as last year's were definitely too short.

His parents communicated with him almost every day using a text machine, and his father went to the county town to see him from time to time, so he didn't think it was a big deal.

My aunt and uncle praised Wang Jiankun so much that he felt embarrassed.

As soon as he entered the door, his two younger sisters held his hands, one on each side. Seeing that he was busy chatting with adults, they didn't want to disturb him.

After the greetings, the two sisters couldn't wait and pulled him towards the motorcycle at the door, because there must be good stuff in the box tied to the back of the motorcycle.

The two younger sisters must have had pretty good food recently, as their cheeks have become a little chubbier.

Chunxiang's hair was no longer yellow, but shiny black and combed neatly into a ponytail with a colorful hairband. Her cousin Yueyue had short hair, but it was pinned with a pretty plastic hairpin, which must have been bought from Guangzhou at that time.

She opened the box on the back of the motorcycle and took out the snacks, dumplings, and pork. She asked her two younger sisters to help her get two items, and the three of them put them on the square table in front of the hall for grandma to distribute.

Grandma asked my aunt and mother to take the pork and buns to the kitchen first, so that they could steam the buns and stew the meat.

As for snacks, a portion of each was taken out and placed on a plate, and the adults were free to take as much as they wanted, but the two younger sisters were specifically told to eat less, otherwise they would have to eat meat buns and stewed pork at noon, and not to quarrel if they couldn't finish their meals.

The two sisters ate the snacks slowly, thinking that the snacks were delicious and they should eat more, and at the same time thinking about the meat buns and stewed meat for lunch. Slowly, a knotty look appeared on their faces, which was very funny.

Wang Jiankun told them not to be anxious, as they could still have snacks in the afternoon. The adults just tasted a little and went back to work, not craving for more and eating non-stop.

After hearing what Wang Jiankun said, they became happy again and smiled while eating.

The family had a warm lunch together. They opened a bottle of wine that Wang Jiankun brought and shared it with grandfather, father and uncle.

At the dinner table, my uncle said that he had formed a construction team of 12 people, affiliated with the Wang Family Production Team.

The tiles on our house will be ready in half a month. Now four of us have been assigned to help another family in the team lay the foundation.

The family contracted the house-building task to my uncle's construction team because the family's three male laborers and two female laborers all went to work in the factory, and only their half-grown children went to school and did odd jobs. It was not cost-effective to give up their work in the team and build the house themselves, so they hired my uncle's construction team to build the house on their own, including the materials and labor.

Wang Jiankun felt that this family was quite financially savvy and knew that division of labor and cooperation would be more efficient and could lead to a win-win or even multi-win situation.

Because the only parts of the house designed by Wang Jiankun for his own family that were made of wood were doors and windows, and the rest were made of bricks, reinforced concrete, not many carpenters were used, and wall construction and plastering did require more labor than other houses.

After talking about the house, we went on to talk about the spring factory in Fengshan Commune.

My grandfather went to check on it every few days, fearing that the commune would not follow Wang Jiankun's design. Fortunately, the factory building was simple, otherwise my grandfather would have suggested that my uncle be in charge of the construction.

Wang Jiankun planned to go and take a look in the afternoon and meet with the factory director nominated by the commune.

At around 2: in the afternoon, Wang Jiankun and his grandfather rode a motorcycle to the spring factory site.

At this time, the main body of the factory building is almost completed, and the wall work will be completed in a few days, which is similar to what my father had said before.

I used my super powers to check the foundation and the dimensions of each part of the factory building. There were no major problems, except that the workstations where the equipment was placed were not compacted firmly enough, and might sink over time.

Considering that there was no mechanical tamping machine in the commune and people had to pull up large stones to tamp the ground, it was not that they did not need to thank Xinjian.

So Wang Jiankun quietly used his superpowers to compact the ground, and filled the empty space by transferring some elements from the second and third phases of underground reserved nearby.

Not long after he arrived, Secretary Cheng of the commune and the factory director came. When they met, they praised the grandfather for having a good grandson, and praised Wang Jiankun for his ability, his ability to consider his hometown, and for getting wealth-creating projects from his overseas Chinese relatives.

Wang Jiankun spoke a few humble words and then had a chat with Factory Director Cha Jianliang.

It was learned that Director Cha had graduated from a technical secondary school two years ago, majoring in mechanics, and had previously worked as a team leader at the county's agricultural machinery repair station. Secretary Cheng found him and invited him to be the director of this spring factory.

Although the state-owned enterprises of the commune are not as high-level as the agricultural machinery stations in the county, it is better to be the head of a chicken than the tail of an ox, so it is not a loss to be the factory director.

What's more, the salary is higher than in the county, and it is close to home. According to the designed output value, the factory can be regarded as a medium-sized enterprise in the entire county.

Wang Jiankun felt relieved when he knew that Secretary Cheng had invited a professional to be the factory director.

The equipment he manufactured was easy to operate. Once Director Cha and the several high school students he recruited had been trained, normal production would be no problem.

After returning home, Wang Jiankun went to the team's lighter factory to take a look and found that the entire production was running very smoothly.

Except for two stamping machines that make brass and galvanized lighter parts respectively, other machines are using iron bars for stamping. The continuity is very good. Each device can make one part without changing the mold. The machine will only stop for a while when changing the iron bars.

According to my mother, we can now make 2 lighters every day, 500 brass lighters, 1 galvanized lighters, and 9 painted lighters.

The team’s warehouse has been built and stores more than 5 items, and approximately 1 items will be added every week.

This situation probably means that the Cheng brothers have reached their sales limit, and they have to quickly open up channels to Su Province.

When I go to Dexing tomorrow, I will ask Du Weiqiao to help introduce me to the boss in Su Province and the delivery route, and try to go to Su Province at the end of November.
