Chapter 945 Immersion, Heshan Ding

Chapter 945 Immersion, Heshan Ding
Inside the pavilion, both Huolong and Ji Ming dodged to avoid Qingyang Xian's worship.

Fire Dragon waved his hand and said, "My art of divination was obtained from the Fire Dragon Script. It is now in its initial stages of development. It takes the Mind Transformation as its essence and the Symbolism and Numbers as its application. It is called the [Mind Transformation Divine Art]."

After I begin to cast the hexagram, I can create a bridge in your younger brother's heart to connect his primordial spirit with his innate, pure and complete spiritual nature.

Within the innate pure spirit, all past actions, thoughts, experiences, and even ignorance, habits, greed, anger, and hatred are preserved like seeds.

Once the primordial spirit and the innate pure spiritual nature are connected, all the seeds from past lives will no longer passively and latently influence the primordial spirit in this life, but will naturally and directly manifest. Under the observation of this innate purity, all those past wisdom and causes will naturally become clear.

My method, though not like the Buddhist practice of sacrificing oneself to save others, does not require making a small vow beforehand.

However, if one is not careful, the person being guided may not grasp the true meaning of this Dharma, or may be attached to this world and unwilling to accept the Dharma. In such cases, the practitioner will have to accumulate merit for hundreds of years, and afterwards, many demonic obstacles and tribulations will arise.

Therefore, there needs to be someone who practices Taiyi Shenshu (太乙神数) to illuminate the primordial spirit of the person being guided, like a guiding light in the night, so that the restlessness of the primordial spirit can be temporarily put to rest, allowing the person to concentrate on clearly understanding the causes of the past.

Because Heshan has reincarnated several times, his cultivation in this life has been arduous, and he relies entirely on elixirs to maintain his health. As a result, his physical and mental state is weak. Therefore, another practitioner of Taiyi Shenshu protects his life with the Taiyi Golden Lamp.

Fellow Daoist Qingyang is well-versed in the Taiyi Divine Calculation, which can serve as a guiding light, while Lingxuzi, though only recently mastered it, can already use it to protect one's life.

Ji Ming's expression shifted. He knew that the so-called seed in the innate pure spirit mentioned by the fire dragon was the concept of cultivation.

These seeds are the imprints or influences left by all physical and mental activities from past lives, such as actions, thoughts, and experiences. These seeds exist within the innate pure spirit, in a latent and unmanifested state, and are the root from which all phenomena in the next life arise.

When a seed encounters suitable conditions, that is, when the conditions are right, it will transform the actions and inclinations of one's body and mind in this world, changing the inclinations of one's perception of things and the world, gradually making them align with the seed. This is the latent power that, when the conditions are ripe, will eventually manifest as a present phenomenon.

Ji Ming was moved by these words because the method of cultivation was a crucial step in the "Taiyi Hunyuan Yiqi Dishen Huafa" he practiced.

The general principles state: Initially, one uses the physical body as a furnace and the original body as the elixir, performing the work of purification and transformation, thus achieving enlightenment; ultimately, one uses the original body as a mirror and the physical body as a reflection, for contemplation, returning to the origin. When one reaches the state of utmost emptiness and stillness, the transformed body reveals its wonders, and the true nature becomes perfectly clear, thus revealing the gateway to the wondrous union of form and spirit with the Dao.

In specific cultivation methods, this means that after the primordial body is initially condensed, in a state of stillness and concentration, the manifest body is made to face the primordial body, maintaining "the correct view of equality and non-distinction".

Subsequently, in daily life, whether walking, standing, sitting, or lying down, one should always set aside a bit of clarity in one's mind and visualize the spiritual information emitted by all one's activities rising naturally like water vapor evaporating, and being absorbed and accepted by the spiritual body. This is the self-cultivation.

Over the past ten years, Ji Ming has cultivated Yuan Body to this extent, and has already become accustomed to Yuan Body.

He was absolutely certain that even if he released his original body now, even his closest relatives would not be able to tell the difference between his original body and his own. Even in front of a Yang God Earth Immortal, they would not be able to see through his original body.

However, to truly master the primordial body, grasp all its mysteries, and become indistinguishable from oneself, one still needs a little more refinement. This refinement lies in the many seeds accumulated over lifetimes within the innate pure spirit.

In the "Taiyi Hunyuan Yiqi Dishen Huafa", after one has practiced it, when one is in a state of deep meditation and no thoughts arise, one can try to visualize the innate pure spirit, so that the seeds within it (past life actions, thoughts, experiences, etc.) can influence the original body. This is the true nature cultivation.

Only at this point can the original body be considered complete. Both the original body and the original body are transformations of the innate pure spirit, just like tea or wine transformed from water.

Finally, Ji Ming had never been able to grasp the true nature of cultivation. Even though he often had insights into this method, he was still stuck at this hurdle.

Now, his Uncle-Master Huolong's words resonated with him, and he realized that perhaps helping Patriarch Heshan to fully comprehend his past life's causes in this life would allow him to take a crucial step in perfecting his original body's cultivation method.

At this moment, the white dragon reached out its claws and landed outside the pavilion. Sitting on the dragon's neck was a middle-aged Taoist priest, not very old, with thick eyebrows and big eyes, and a very upright face, like an old scholar. After landing in the pavilion, he bowed to Qingyang Immortal and greeted Ji Ming and the others one by one.

Without any formalities, Huolong immediately asked, "Are you called Heshan or Liu Xi?"

“Heshan is not me, Liu Xi is not me either. The moon shines on a thousand rivers, the river moon is the moon, but the moon is not the river moon.”

"good!"

A gentle breeze suddenly arose in the pavilion, lifting the man up.

Huolong took out a divination plate from his sleeve. With a light tap of his knuckles, sixty-four streams of true fire essence leaped from the plate, condensing into flowing hexagrams in the void, and falling into the body and mind of this Taoist.

With a flick of his whisk, the Immortal General Qingyang sent a golden lamp flying out, which also landed on the Taoist's body and soul.

Ji Ming stared at the man, and a tiny flame, the size of a bean, shot out from his left eye.

Although both Pupil Gods had refined the Taiyi Golden Lamp, Ji Ming did not have them both cast spells, as this one Taiyi Golden Lamp was sufficient.

The lamp flames expanded, casting a bright and colorful light upon the Taoist priest.

"Still not enlightened?"

The fire dragon roared, shaking the Daoist's mind.

Upon hearing this, the Taoist priest, who had been blown about by the wind, suddenly became alert. As if struck by a sudden inspiration, he sat cross-legged and began chanting Taoist scriptures. His primordial spirit sank into a state of emptiness, as if enlightened. All his past lives' experiences flashed through his mind like a fleeting glance.

The Taoist priest trembled violently, his Taoist robe billowing without wind, as seeds from different generations clashed and collided within his primordial spirit.

If the Taoist priest was a person of great sin in his previous life, his body and mind would be even more easily transformed into a demon. Even if the Taoist priest cultivated himself purely for many lifetimes, it would be difficult for him to guard his mind under these seeds. If he felt the slightest discomfort, he would have the thought of resistance, and all his previous efforts would be in vain.

A dark light flashed in Ji Mingheng's eyes, blocking out the surrounding light and plunging half of his face into darkness.

As the lamplight shone brighter, countless past lives appeared within the Taoist's primordial spirit, swirling like stars. The joys and sorrows, loves and hates, obsessions and resentments of his past lives all materialized into illusory images, appearing and disappearing within the pavilion—there was the exhilaration of wielding a sword to vanquish demons, the grief of losing loved ones, and the ecstasy of attaining enlightenment.

"Certainly!"

Qingyang Xian gave a light shout, and all the phantoms were startled.

Suddenly, a Taoist's long roar shook the heavens, and a pure aura burst forth from the top of his head. The phantom Taoist figures in the wandering pavilion seemed to awaken, bowed to the pure aura, and then disappeared.

As the pure energy subsided, the Taoist opened his eyes. His gaze seemed to have seen through a thousand years, like two deep pools. He bowed deeply to the fire dragon and Ji Ming, saying, "Thank you, fellow Daoist, for helping me see my past life. Thank you, fellow Daoist, for protecting my life."
