Chapter 702 Divine Numbers, Lesson 2

Chapter 702 Divine Calculation, Lesson Two
In the white-scaled ripples, the white dragon looked up and saw the divine energy that filled the sky and shattered the flowing clouds. Suddenly, it remembered an unpleasant past event and quickly closed its dragon eyes, afraid that it would be blinded by this divine energy again and be unable to stop crying.

Within the chaotic flow of energy, a figure emerged like a water droplet, then solidified from the ethereal. The dwarf monster, flung into the water by the white dragon, saw the Daoist figure seated on the lotus and cried out excitedly, "Golden Boy, you've ruined me!"

Hearing the sound, Ji Ming looked in the direction of the sound.

"Zao Ling'er!"

Ji Ming hesitated before speaking.

Zao Ling'er brushed aside her disheveled hair, leaped out of the water like a carp, and landed in front of Ji Ming. She said in a mournful tone, "Didn't we agree back then that we would study the Five Elements together at the Daoist temple? How could you go back on your word?"

"It's not that I broke my promise, but something really came up that delayed me."

Zao Ling'er was about to complain a few more words when she saw Ji Ming raise his hand and send out a Six Ding Divine Fire. She quickly stepped forward to catch it, her expression changed, and she said, "Senior Brother Jin Tong's cultivation has greatly increased. Congratulations, congratulations!"

Ji Ming chuckled, gently rubbed his fingers together, and a spirit pill appeared in his hand. He flicked his finger, and the pill fell into the water.

With a plop, the spirit pill dissolved upon entering the water, causing the bottom to be soaked in a five-colored light, which reflected on the surface of the water, creating a mesmerizing and ever-changing scene.

Before long, the shadow of a large fish swam out from the depths of the water, its fins gently propelling the clear water as if it were floating in the air.

This fish has become sentient, has learned to understand human nature, and knows what is right and wrong.

In the water, one can see the shadow of a dragon drooping on the waves, the shadow of a lotus seated on a lotus, and the strange shadow of a creature leaping and turning in the air. Even so, one cannot resist the temptation, for the radiance contains the interplay of the five elements and the transformations of life, and all things are in harmony, causing one to forget all ulterior motives. As if the radiance has stolen one's mind and spirit, one willingly throws oneself into it.

"Haha, now that we have the magical item, it's time to go see our teacher."

After saying this, Ji Ming gently waved his sleeve, dispelling the underwater shimmer and releasing the fish back to their nests. Then, with a sway of his body, he and the lotus seat vanished into the wind.

"Brother, wait for me."

Zao Ling'er stomped her foot in mid-air, transforming it into fire and chasing after them.

On the Jade Rock above the Solitary Pool stands a glazed pavilion, where a celestial figure is already waiting.

The celestial light outside the courtyard continued to spread as always, illuminating the heavens above and penetrating the ripples of the pond below, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene.

Ji Ming bowed respectfully before the pavilion. After entering the Liuli Guang Pavilion, he glanced around Qingyang Xian and did not see his master, Fei Hu Zi.

"Your master has specially sent you to Crab Island in the South China Sea for secluded cultivation."

Qingyang Xian gave a brief explanation, then instructed Ji Ming and Zao Ling'er to sit down in the Guangting Pavilion, saying, "Forty years have passed in the mortal world, and it is time for me to teach the principles of the 'art' transformation of the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams in this lesson."

"teacher."

Zao Ling'er said with shame, "I haven't mastered the Five Elements Escape Technique yet. Will it be difficult for me to understand this lesson?"

Qingyang Xian did not reply, but looked at Ji Ming with a half-smile and said, "Lingxuzi, with your knowledge of divination, does Zao Ling'er have any difficulties in learning this grand lesson?"

"Have!"

Ji Mingdao.

Qingyang Xian was deeply impressed by the fact that Lingxuzi had tricked a fifth-level cultivator from a side sect into giving away his magic treasure. He was just about to hear some profound words from Lingxuzi when, after a short while, he heard nothing more from him.

Ji Ming sat silently. He knew in his heart that without the help of the Pupil God, with his limited knowledge of divination, he would definitely reveal his true abilities if he talked too much.

As for getting the help of the Pupil God in his eyes to show his face in front of Qingyang Immortal, Ji Ming wasn't that bold as to risk exposing his Pupil God to do so.

"Ok!"

Qingyang Xian nodded and smoothed things over, saying, "The foundation of divination is Yin and Yang, the Five Elements, the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, the Nine Palaces and the Eight Trigrams, and so on. If we don't have these foundations, or if our foundations are unstable, we will not be able to deduce the past of things."

Furthermore, they cannot know the most likely future, which is what is known as destiny.

In today's world, the method of divination using the principles of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements is one of the most common methods, such as the Five Elements Dragon Script symbols unearthed from ancient tombs.

These five dragon runes were discovered one by one in different eras. Apart from the large fire dragon rune in the hands of the Fire Dragon Master, the other four dragon runes have been used by him to create different numerological methods.

When these arts of divination are mastered to a high level, each has its own unique characteristics.

Just like the "Qimen Dunjia" created by the Goddess of Mount Tai from the "Azure Dragon Script", it focuses on troop deployment, the interaction of elements, the Three Wonders and Six Instruments, the Eight Gates and Nine Stars, and is the top-level divination technique for controlling the universe.

What's even more remarkable is that the Empress never kept this method to herself, but instead chose to spread it widely among the people, benefiting all. Unfortunately, later generations, driven by baseness and selfishness, regarded *Qimen Dunjia* as their private property, forming an unwritten agreement to share it. Over generations, this method gradually became a closely guarded secret within a few families and schools, leaving later generations subject to the control of others.

Ji Ming was deeply moved upon hearing this. Back then, when he was in his second primordial spirit body, he dared to hold a Buddhist scripture gathering and widely spread the "Two Breaths of Avici" because he was well aware of the changes in people's hearts and knew that in just two or three hundred years, the "Two Breaths of Avici" would become a rare Zen method and would not become widespread.

However, he miscalculated one thing: in just a few years, not two or three hundred years, all those who listened to the Dharma at the Buddhist assembly had already been killed by those with ulterior motives because of the transmission of the "Two Breaths of Avici".

Nowadays, the number of people who still know about "Avici Hell" is no more than five.

This time, Qingyang Xian did not give a profound and easy-to-understand explanation. Instead, he simply stated: "This lesson is about the Taiyi Divine Calculation. This method was created by the Longevity Ancestor from the large dragon characters in the thick earth."

"The Ancestor of Immortality!"

Upon hearing this title, Ji Ming thought to himself, "Isn't this the great ancestor of Huangting Palace? Master Qingyang calls him the patriarch. Could it be that Master Qingyang is actually an immortal in Huangting Palace?"

He looked at Zao Ling'er again. He had originally thought that this True Immortal of Huangting Palace was like him, who had come here to listen to the lectures by some kind of predestined connection. Now it seemed that the relationship between Zao Ling'er and Teacher Qingyang was not ordinary.

"The so-called divine calculations reveal the heavens and strategize for the world."

The Taiyi Shenshu (太乙神数) is primarily used to calculate celestial phenomena, major calamities, and the laws of the Great Dao. Its scope is vast, encompassing fortune and destiny.

When one cultivates to the most profound and subtle level, one can have a vague yet profound premonition of calamities and tribulations involving oneself, one's sect, one's region, or even a wider area. One can sense in advance the direction and general nature of the calamity energy gathering, and prepare for avoiding or responding to calamities in the future.

The Huangting Palace's dominance in the Central Plains was thus established, and it continues to this day, unshaken.

"No wonder! No wonder!"

The Taiyi Divine Calculation possessed such profound and wondrous creations that Ji Ming immediately felt a sense of awe towards the Huangting Palace's dominance.

"teacher"

When Zao Ling'er heard that she could learn the "Taiyi Shenshu" in this lesson, she showed no joy on her face.

This wasn't because he was worried that Ling Xuzi, an outsider, would learn the Taiyi Divine Calculation of their sect. He knew that since Master Qingyang had chosen to teach it, he must have known what he was doing and wouldn't delve into anything too profound or the core mysteries of the divine calculation.

The reason he looked distressed was simply because this method of divination had an extremely long deduction cycle, taking much longer than other divination techniques, and the conditions for its use were extremely demanding, making it arguably unparalleled.

If other divination methods are based on decades or decades, then the Taiyi Divine Calculation is based on centuries or millennia.

Qingyang Xian was fully aware of Zao Ling'er's feelings.

He hadn't originally planned to teach this Taiyi Divine Calculation, but after learning about Lingxuzi's talent in divination and because of another matter on his mind, he changed his mind. Of course, even if he hadn't changed his mind, Zao Ling'er probably wouldn't have understood it anyway.

In truth, Qingyang Xian still harbored some doubts. He considered himself to have lived long enough and to be quite accurate in judging people. He did not perceive Ling Xuzi to have much talent in divination, at most possessing a bit of cunning and knowing how to seek advantage and avoid harm.

When the story of Lingxuzi stealing the magic treasure from Fubeigong's cave spread throughout Tiannan, Qingyangxian even ordered ghosts and gods to investigate the matter.

To his great surprise, it turned out that Lingxuzi was already famous for his ability to make prophecies long before he formed his core. However, Taiping Mountain later covered up this matter, and it was not certain that one would understand it without a thorough investigation.

"The Way of Taiyi is not a trivial skill or technique, but a method to understand the profound and ever-changing nature of things and to discern the will of Heaven."

Using Yin-Yang and the Five Elements as the framework, it deduces the trajectory of the Great Dao and discerns the mysteries of the past and present. The essence of its method lies not only in foreknowledge, but also in understanding, conforming to, and even fine-tuning the flow of "momentum" within the limits permitted by the Dao.

If one were to cultivate this method as a true disciple of Huangting Palace, one would need a powerful primordial spirit as a means of calculation, profound Daoist cultivation as a foundation, and Yin-Yang and Five Elements destiny as a reference to construct and operate the [Inner Landscape - Taiyi Cosmic Light Divine Disc].

The higher the realm, the more magnificent and precise the inner vision compass becomes, the wider the scope of deduction, and the deeper the dimensions involved, truly making it the only true method of divination.

In terms of exquisite supernatural powers, it surpasses even the true arts and techniques created from other dragon-script symbols.

Ji Ming's joy subsided slightly. Hearing this, he understood that the immortal ancestor must have combined the Yellow Court Inner Landscape Scripture with the inner landscape to create this technique.

Obviously, it would be extremely difficult for outsiders to learn this method.

"Please, teacher, impart the Dharma!"

Ji Ming bowed in the pavilion.

That's the idea, but being able to learn another art of divination, even knowing it's fraught with difficulties and that you won't be able to master the advanced parts, can still be of great help to you by drawing parallels from similar examples.

Finally, there's one more thing: this difficulty is also the difficulty of the Pupil God, so what does it have to do with him? His job is just to make sure the Pupil Gods listen to the lecture.
