Warhammer 30k and the Great Tomb of Nazarick

Chapter 21 Ainz's Treatment

Chapter 21 Ainz's Treatment

Now that the Pale Knight has been summoned successfully, it’s time to try other monsters with the same background.

According to Locino, a companion that Ainz used to like to collect, the Pale Knight was based on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in the Book of Revelation, and was a group with the Blue Knight, the Rusty Knight, and the Black Knight. It just so happened that Ainz could only create four high-level undead in a day, so he did it right away and immediately launched a high-level undead summon on the remaining corpses.

The Blue Knight and the Rusty Knight both came to the real world under Ainz's magic, but when Ainz wanted to continue summoning the Black Knight, he found that the corpses had been used up. The corpse of the Space Marine that was originally prepared was used to summon the Death Knight.

What a waste, Ainz complained. Just at this moment, the Eight-limbed Blade Assassin also returned, bringing it some bad news.

"Nani? The body is missing?"

"Yes, Lord Ainz, we are incompetent. Please punish us, Your Majesty."

The Eight-limbed Blade Assassin immediately knelt on the ground, and Ainz waved his hands hastily.

"No, no, this is not your responsibility. Oh, go and bring the remaining body of the Space Marine here, and check in the Great Tomb of Nazarick to see if you can find it. Oh, this is not an important matter, so don't disturb others."

"Yes, thank you for your kindness, Ainz-sama!"

The eight-limbed assassin insects knelt on the ground, kowtowed respectfully, and then disappeared.

Ahhh, he is gone as expected. Didn’t I succeed in killing him before?
Please, don't let other Guardians find out, or it will be embarrassing. And it's just embarrassing, if the NPCs really find out that I didn't kill that Space Marine, I don't know what they will think of without permission. Especially Demiurge, I always feel that he can come up with a complete plan for whatever I say.

Ainz complained in his heart, but there was nothing else to do now, so he observed the newly summoned knights. After all, it had been a long time since he tried to summon these knights.

The Pale Knight, the Rusty Knight, the Azure Knight, and the Dark Knight all have a counterpart in the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, corresponding to Plague, War, Death, and Famine respectively.

The Rusty Knight, who represents war, appears as a three-meter-tall centaur holding a weapon similar to a Guandao. He is wearing tattered armor with blood stains in the gaps of the armor. At first glance, he looks like a melee monster, but he is actually a mage.

The big Guandao in the hands of the Rusty Knight actually also has the function of a staff, or it can be said that it is a staff made into the shape of a big sword. Moreover, the Rusty Knight is not only a mage, but also a mage specializing in the spiritual system. Excluding spell abilities, the melee level is about the same as that of the Death Knight. But the Death Knight is only level 35, while the Rusty Knight is a level 60 monster. As for spell abilities, they are basically useless against BOSS and players, and can only be used to bully weaklings.

This class composition and incongruous abilities make the Rusty Knight one of the least used high-level summons.

Just to mention, the Rusty Knight's race is also undead, all four horsemen's races are undead, even if they don't look like it. If you break it down, the Rusty Knight's race is a Centaur zombie.

The appearance of the Blue Mist Knight is a man in a black robe riding a skeleton horse, holding a huge sickle. His exposed arms reveal that he is a skeleton-type undead. Black fog with a strong ominous aura surrounds him.

The Blue Knight looks like the legendary god of death, but it is actually a melee class, and it is extremely specialized in instant death. Each of its attacks has an instant death effect, and it is always surrounded by the aura of despair. Low-level enemies will be killed immediately just by approaching the Blue Knight. However, if the instant death effect is removed, it is unclear whether the Blue Knight can beat a level 40 blank warrior.

Ainz has always felt that the game's developers may have made a big mistake when designing these four knights, as none of them were useful. This time they put together a combination, and next time they can summon other more practical units.

After waiting for a while, the Eight-limbed Blade Assassin brought the body of the last Space Marine, along with the news that the missing Space Marine had not been found. Ainz ordered them to continue searching, while he returned to his room to make the final call.

The appearance of the Abyss Knight is the least noticeable among the Four Horsemen. It is a goblin vampire riding a black goat. It has blood-red eyes and a big hooked nose. It holds a purse in its left hand and a scale in its right hand.

Although it looks inconspicuous, the Abyss Knight is also a real level 60 monster. In the original game world, people don't need to eat, so the famine characteristics are not strong. The main skills designed for the Abyss Knight are actually to debuff the enemy and steal items.

After gathering four knights, Ainz was very happy and immediately thought of a solution.

I can ask the four newly summoned knights to deal with the escaped guy. Because it is a newly summoned monster, no one is familiar with it. As long as I tell them not to reveal it to the NPC, I can conceal the information well.

As for finding the escaped Space Marine, it would be best to bring him back alive. If not, capturing him and resurrecting him would be fine. No one knows how this guy escaped from the tomb.

Ainz had the impression that the security of the Great Tomb of Nazarick was extremely strict. The test using the lives of the black workers had a good effect, which was even more funny. Ah, what was the name of that woman? Oh, yes, her name was Clementi. She would test the security from time to time. She was able to escape like this. It seemed that her experience was worth learning from. Oh, there is one thing I need to confirm.

"What are your names?"

"Reporting to the Supreme Lord, we do not have our own names, only the names of our races, which are..."

"The Pale Knight."

"The Knight of Azure."

"Rust-red Knight."

"The Knight of the Black Abyss."

After watching the Four Knights respectfully state their race names, Ainz moved on to the next question.

"Do you remember your previous life? Before you became undead?"

"Your Highest Master, we are all immortals created by the Supreme Master. Before the Great Supreme Master created us, we did not exist."

Well, it seems that the undead summoned by high-level undead will not inherit the memory of the original owner of the corpse, so you can use it with confidence.

"Very good. Now the four of you go together to capture the escaped Space Marine. Try to capture him alive. If that's not possible, dead is fine. Do you understand?"

"Understand, the order of the Supreme Being is our desire."

"Very good, then I will wait for your good news."

Ainz's final encouragement made the Four Knights very excited, and they all promised to live up to the expectations of the Supreme Being.

After the four knights left, Ainz fell directly onto the bed.

Ahhh, I feel a little tired.

Although it was unnecessary, Ainz still stretched out his arms and legs on the bed as he had done when he was a human, and then began to roll around again.

Although the bedding and pillows were of the highest quality, Ainz, who had become an undead, could not fall asleep. Lying on the bed for a while and pretending to be asleep was considered a rest for Ainz.

Ok?
Although he had no nose, Ainz did have a sense of smell. He did not understand why this happened, just as he smelled a familiar scent on the bedding again.

It felt very much like the subtle fragrance of Albedo.

Did the maids use the same laundry detergent when they washed it?

PS The original work of Bone King has descriptions of the Pale Knight and the remaining three, but they are very few. The paperback version can only be judged as high-level undead. The web version has more, estimated to be around level 55 to 60.
