Chapter 405 The Change is Over There
Chapter 405 The Change is Over There
After a brief thought, Andrew finally figured it out.
It is a real crime to block the collision of two kinds of knowledge because of possible disadvantages. The most tragic thing is to stick to one's old ways today and stick to one's old ways tomorrow, and to refuse to embrace another technology forever.
The population limit of the wizarding world is here. Hogwarts has been using candles since its establishment. It was still using candles during the Renaissance. It was still using candles when the steam engine came out. It was still using candles in the electric age. If there is no collision, there is no doubt that candles will still be used in the Internet age and the information age.
Even when flashlights became obsolete and computers were replaced by mobile phones as Internet tools, people were still using candles.
It probably looks beautiful, sounds idyllic, and picturesque.
But this is just too fucking ridiculous!
Eating fish and chips every day is not this outrageous!
Wizards are human beings, not museum exhibits!
The Statute of Secrecy is not a sophon. Its purpose is not to restrict the development of wizards, but to allow wizards to live better!
Even without the addition and collision of new knowledge, wizards can still kill themselves!
Those things in the restricted section of the library did not appear out of thin air, and the magic targeting wizards did not grow naturally. Without new knowledge, would wizards not study black magic or magical transfiguration?
After figuring it all out, all the negative emotions brought about by that magic experiment were swept away.
Andrew looked at the professor seriously and said, "Yes, it's just a little bit more stable. It may even be worse because the later we contact it, the harder it is to imagine what will happen."
If the night continues for a while longer, the Muggle world will really be able to synthesize starch from the air, and photovoltaic panels will be so cheap that they will be almost free.
What if it’s later, and the artificial sun is really lit?
Going further, what if the human world has really migrated to Mars or even other places, and even various scientific research methods have surpassed the limits of wizards' hidden magic?
"I thought so, Taylor," the professor nodded, "but you're calmer than I thought."
'Because there's no point in panicking, Professor. I've been trying to improve my imagination of the magical world, but it's just more outrageous than I thought, Professor.'
Andrew showed a helpless expression. "We can't throw the baby out with the bathwater. There are so many things in the magic world that we can't touch. We haven't seen wizards give up magic, and dark magic hasn't been completely eliminated. Professor, after reading some books in the restricted section, I have a high tolerance for reality."
"It's great that you think so," Professor McGonagall said with a forced smile, "I was actually scared when I came out - if you give up on studying Transfiguration because of this situation, it would be an irreparable loss to the entire wizarding world."
???
Professor, you can't take such a big joke!
I'm your student for three years. I'm not an outsider. Don't flatter me like this!
"Don't be ridiculous, Professor."
Andrew's eyes widened.
"This is how you look like an underage wizard. You won't look like one when you come out," Professor McGonagall said with a smile. "Your brows are knitted together, as if you are in charge of the entire wizarding world. Fudge isn't even worried."
She looked at Andrew. "Relax and don't stress, Taylor. We have Dumbledore."
"And you, Professor, I'm not under that much pressure."
Andrew responded with a smile.
-
"Ah!"
The first white wizard, the legitimate headmaster of Hogwarts, the owner of the phoenix, the opponent of two Dark Lords, the great transfiguration master, the great alchemist, the great defense against the dark arts master, Albus Dumbledore sneezed in the headmaster's office.
But he ate a strange-tasting bean without caring and continued his research.
"It's more complicated than I thought, and it has an extreme correlation, even stronger than alchemy. Once I turn my attention, there are so many things to learn." On the messy desk, a long-outdated Daily Prophet was placed neatly - it was a report about Pai's research on a new magical medical beauty.
Next to the Daily Prophet is something that countless wizards dream of - a whole book of notes from Dumbledore.
'That's it for now. This combination is very interesting. Let's try it again tomorrow.'
The feather pen on another notebook quickly recorded the previous data, and then it was put away by itself and piled on another table specially prepared in this office.
"Come to think of it, I've been researching for a while, but I still haven't seen the results I want. But one of my students has come up with something different," Dumbledore stood up and stroked Fawkes. "I don't know what the others are researching, but I guess they won't give up easily. I just don't know when there will be significant results."
Fawkes tilted his head and leaned against Dumbledore.
The scene looked extremely warm, but was soon broken by the villain.
"Albus," the Sorting Hat reminded, "If you don't process the documents Professor McGonagall sent you, there will be nothing but a pile of blank pages waiting for her in the evening."
"You've obviously been giving more reminders of gloating recently, Sorting Hat."
The principal on the wall said happily, and it was obvious that he also wanted to watch the show.
"Because it's been a long time since I've watched a legend," the Sorting Hat said happily, and the atmosphere in the whole office suddenly became cheerful.
Because everyone knows that Albus anonymously urged for more updates.
But the joy was soon interrupted.
Because Professor McGonagall had arrived - ringing the doorbell in that methodical way that was unique to Professor McGonagall.
"Good afternoon, Minerva."
Dumbledore responded happily.
"Good afternoon, Albus," Professor McGonagall's expression was no longer troubled, "How is the paperwork going?"
"I've seen some of it, but I haven't signed it yet."
Dumbledore told a white lie.
"Don't worry about that. We have a new problem now. There is a problem with Mr. Pai's on-campus research, and it's not an experimental problem."
"Ideological obstacles? Theoretically, there shouldn't be that much of an impact. The direction he chose is a good one. Since there are so many witch supporters, I can even say that I haven't received any letters of protest. They are still discussing it in various newspapers."
Dumbledore smiled easily - because the resistance to this change was lower than he expected, which was good for the entire wizarding world.
He is not a conservative, but he opposes overly drastic measures.
"That's good, as long as you are prepared."
Professor McGonagall nodded, then seriously and quickly and accurately described what had happened today and the chaos that might result.
"That's it. You still need to check this matter, Albus. The documents can be delayed for a while. I'm afraid this needs to be quick."
Professor McGonagall brought up Dumbledore's favorite topic in the past, but for some reason, Dumbledore was not happy at all.
